Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Utah Jazz @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Total: 227.5

Vegas Spread: Utah -3.5

We’ll kick this slate off starting with the Jazz, the only guy that they’ll be missing tonight is Bojan Bogdanovic again as he’s missed the past few games. Donovan Mitchell looks like a solid option again here, the Hornets are a great matchup for opposing guards. I do like Rudy Gobert as well, the Hornets have been better against opposing bigs, but he’s consistent enough to get his production down low. Jordan Clarkson has been pretty solid as of late with at least 35 FanDuel points in four of his last five games and is in play for tournaments as always. Mike Conley has been in much better form over his last handful of games and makes sense as a filler piece at a nice price tag. From the Hornets, LaMelo Ball has been in more consistent form as of late with at least 41 DraftKings points in six straight games after showing some volatility this season. He’ll look like a fine option in GPPs, but I think we can probably do better in cash games in a tougher matchup with the Jazz. Terry Rozier has cooled off a bit as of late with the consistency of Ball. I’ve been leaning Rozier since the all-star break due to the discount you get on him, but if Ball is going to continue to produce, he’d be my preferred option. Miles Bridges will look solid here, the Jazz can be beaten on the wings and probably my favorite Hornets option. Then we get to the trio of Montrezl Harrell, PJ Washington, and Mason Plumlee who will share center minutes. The Hornets will need their size down low to deal with Gobert, but I don’t think we need to get there on this slate. The minutes haven’t really been there for Kelly Oubre as of late which warrants his current price tag, I’ll wait for the minutes to come up before I risk going to him.

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson, Montrezl Harrell, Mason Plumlee, PJ Washington, Kelly Oubre

Washington Wizards @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 221.0

Vegas Spread: Det -4.5

Starting with the Wizards, we’ll need to keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed regarding the availability of Kyle Kuzma as he comes in questionable after missing their last game. I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s out for the sake of this article, but again, watch for that news as we get closer to lock. Below is how this team operates with Kuzma, Bradley Beal, and Spencer Dinwiddie off of the court this season:

My two favorite options here would be Kristaps then a big drop to Rui… the matchup sets up really well for both, but Kristaps is finally seeing over 30 minutes over his last couple of games and will look like a great option if Kuzma is out. From Detroit, Jerami Grant returned last time out but played just 22 minutes, unless we hear that he won’t be limited moving forward I will likely look elsewhere. I do like going right back to Cade Cunningham however, he’s playing all the minutes he can handle as of late and gets a great matchup with the Wizards in this one. Saddiq Bey will be more of a GPP option due to his volatility, but there’s no doubt that the upside is there for him. Then the trio of Isaiah Stewart, Marvin Bagley, and Kelly Olynyk will be more GPP options than anything. Stewart and Bagley will play minutes in the mid 20’s while Olynyk will be right around that 20-minute mark but that’s baked into his price tag.

5-star play: Kristaps Porzingis, Cade Cunningham

4-star play: Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart, Marvin Bagley, Rui Hachimura, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope,

Deeper Value: Kelly Olynyk

GPP Sleeper: Deni Avdija, Corey Kispert, Marvin Bagley, Kelly Olynyk, Isaiah Stewart, Jerami Grant

Golden State Warriors @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Total: 220.5

Vegas Spread: Atl -3.0

Starting with the Warriors, they’ll continue to be without Steph Curry again here, below is how the rest of the team operates with him off of the court this season:

Poole and Thompson would be my favorite options here but the whole team gets a great matchup against a bad Hawks defense. Poole has at least 45 DraftKings points in two of his last four games and I like his chances at it again tonight. It’s worth noting that Green got his minutes up to 29 last time out, and if he can get over 30 he’ll look like a solid option at this price tag. From the Hawks, Trae Young will look like a solid option again here at the high end. He scored 47.25 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. Bogdan Bogdanovic had a rough go of it last time out and will be more of a secondary GPP option for me here. Clint Capela has been extremely volatile this season and as of late, he has the size to beat the Warriors frontcourt, but Green can be pesky and I don’t trust Capela to get it done. Kevin Huerter and De’Andre Hunter would be more of secondary options for me here due to the size of the slate but are in play at the very least.

5-star play: Jordan Poole, Trae Young

4-star play: Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Danilo Gallinari

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney, Kevin Huerter, De’Andre Hunter, Danilo Gallinari

New York Knicks @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 215.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -6.5

Starting with the Knicks, we’ll need news on this team before we can really break it down. If Julius Randle is back, I don’t think I’ll have a whole lot of interest in the Knicks in a tough matchup against this Heat team. However, if Randle is out again we can go back to the RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, and Alec Burks well. Watch the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding this one and we’ll have you covered on who benefits in our VIP Slack Chat, come join it! From the Heat, Jimmy Butler just can’t seem to get to 100% as of late. He comes into this one as questionable as well, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed, but if he’s active I will look his way in tournaments as it looks like the minutes will be there for him if he’s active. Bam Adebayo will look solid again here, he’s been in solid form and has a decent price tag for all formats. Tyler Herro comes into this one as questionable as well, if he’s forced to miss expect to see an increase in usage and production for these guys and Kyle Lowry. We would likely get more Max Strus run as well. Overall this game is pretty ugly if everyone is healthy, but can change depending on what news we get.

5-star play: TBD

4-star play: TBD

Deeper Value: TBD

GPP Sleeper: TBD

I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!

Dallas Mavericks @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 227.5

Vegas Spread: Min -2.5

Starting with the Mavs, it sounds like Luka Doncic will return here and looks like a solid spend-up option again. He had a rough game against the Wolves in his last game but I have no issue going right back to him. Doncic being back will hurt Spencer Dinwiddie and Jalen Brunson after we went heavy on them last time out. They would become more of secondary GPP options with him back. Outside of Luka, there isn’t a whole lot that I love on the Mavs, but do think guys like Dorian Finney-Smith and Dwight Powell are roster-able at the very least due to how bad the Wolves can be against opposing big men. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns comes into this one as questionable and news we’ll need on this slate, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding him and how he impacts the production for the rest of this team. Assuming he plays… he’ll look like a good option again here as he comes into this one in great form. D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards are both solid secondary options in this game and will be guys that see a nice boost if Towns is forced to miss. Jarred Vanderbilt will be more of a tournament guy due to the minutes’ volatility he’s seen as of late. Lastly, Patrick Beverley continues to outproduce his price tag and is a guy I like in all formats again here, he might be my favorite Timberwolve as crazy as it sounds.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Karl-Anthony Towns

4-star play: Dwight Powell, Patrick Beverley, Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Spencer Dinwiddie, Jalen Brunson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Jarred Vanderbilt

Houston Rockets @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total: 233.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -3.5

Starting with the Rockets, Christian Wood has been pretty volatile as of late but we have seen the ceiling he’s capable of putting up a few times as of late with at least 59 FanDuel points in two of his last four games. He’s in play for tournaments at the very least in a great matchup with the Blazers. Kevin Porter Jr. has been volatile this season as well and will be more of a tournament guy if you want to get exposure as well, I do like this game environment a good deal. We can round them out with Jalen Green and Jae’Sean Tate as MME guys, but I don’t think you’ll need them on a slate this size. From the Blazers, they’ll continue to be without Jusuf Nurkic at the very least, as Josh Hart and Anfernee Simons come in as questionable, but I’ll operate under the assumption that they’re out. Trendon Watford should continue to play nice minutes and has produced well as of late. The matchup sets up well and will be a guy I am interested in. Kris Dunn got the start over Brandon Williams the last time out and I would expect more of the same here. I’ll take the discount you get on Dunn if this is going to be the case in a great matchup with the Rockets. Lastly, Drew Eubanks is the very definition of minutes are king for NBA DFS. I don’t think he’s a good basketball player, but if he’s going to continue to see around 30 minutes in a solid enough matchup. He signed with the Blazers for the rest of the season so they’re pretty committed to him at this point.

5-star play: Christian Wood, Kris Dunn

4-star play: Kevin Porter Jr, Trendon Watford, Drew Eubanks, Justise Winslow

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jalen Green, Jae’Sean Tate, Brandon Williams

Philadelphia 76ers @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 219.5

Vegas Spread: Phi -5.5

Starting with the Sixers, it’s really a two-man team for me with Joel Embiid and James Harden right now and all the usage they’re demanding. Joel Embiid is in great form and should be able to do whatever he wants against this Clippers frontcourt after dropping 59.5 DraftKings points on the Lakers last time out. James Harden hasn’t really lived up to his price tag since that Sixers debut and would be more of a GPP guy for me at this price. With those two eating up most of the usage it doesn’t leave a whole lot out there for Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris and will probably be guys I’m underweight on due to the size of the slate, however, they’ve been in solid enough form where I won’t talk you off of them. From the Clippers, coach Lue is going to start limiting the minutes on Reggie Jackson, Marcus Morris, and Nicolas Batum which basically takes me off of them until their price tags come down. Terance Mann should stand to benefit and had a big game last time out, he’ll look like a solid option here. The frontcourt of Ivica Zubac and Isaiah Hartenstein are solid options as well. The minutes are volatile on Hartenstein but he’s been a per-minute monster this season. Then guys like Luke Kennard and Amir Coffey are fine GPP options, they should benefit from the minutes restrictions as well.

5-star play: Joel Embiid

4-star play: James Harden, Terance Mann, Ivica Zubac

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Isaiah Hartenstein, Luke Kennard, Amir Coffey

NBA Lock of the Day: Kristaps Porzingis (DK – $8.3k; FD – $8.5k)

I’m going to operate under the assumption that Kyle Kuzma is out again here, if that changes I’ll come off of Kristaps a bit. With Kuzma off of the court this season Kristaps has a 30% usage rate and 1.47 fantasy points per minute. He’s seen at least 32 minutes in two straight games as well. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
