My name is Steve aka @Mutt18 on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. Toronto Raptors @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Total: 224.5

Vegas Spread: Tor -2.5

Starting with the Raptors, Pascal Siakam has been playing like a man possessed the past few weeks and he is still very viable here tonight, and the Hornet’s rebounding issues have been well documented. Fred VanVleet has also been a bit banged up but he should be good to go here and draws a good matchup here as LaMelo doesn’t play much defense and this is one of the highest totals on the slate. Gary Trent has also been great lately but he is gonna be scoring dependent as long as FVV is healthy. OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes are both viable here as well, although the two eat into each other’s upside so I wouldn’t pair them, I like Barnes as he is cheaper. If you want to get really deep, Precious Achiuwa is their main big and he has a good matchup here as Charlotte doesn’t defend bigs well at all.

Now for the Hornets, Gordon Hayward is back here today, and he is cheap on FanDuel, with him back Kelly Oubre really comes out of play in this one, but he is a deeper MME type option on a smaller slate like this. LaMelo Ball is still too cheap on FanDuel, and the Raptors are mediocre against PGs and he has some nice upside at this price. Terry Rozier has also caught fire the past few weeks but his price has skyrocketed on both sites as well. Miles Bridges has a solid matchup here as well but with Hayward back it limits his upside a bit. To round it out for value, PJ Washington is going to be one of the better value plays on this slate as he has been super consistent and he’s still pretty cheap everywhere.

5-star play: Fred VanVleet, LaMelo Ball

4-star play: Pascal Siakam, Gary Trent, OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes, Terry Rozier, Miles Bridges

Deeper Value: PJ Washington, Kelly Oubre, Precious Achiuwa

GPP Sleeper: PJ Washington

Miami Heat @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 209

Vegas Spread: Mia -6

Starting with the Heat, Jimmy Butler has a really solid matchup here as the Wizards are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA against SFs and with Kyle Lowry back he’ll slide back over there. Lowry has a solid matchup here as well and he’s decently priced in a solid matchup as well.  Bam Adebayo has been back as well and he’s been great, he draws a premier matchup as the Wizards don’t have anyone that can contain him. PJ Tucker is a deep flier you can take as well in this matchup but not someone I’m seeking out like ever. Max Strus would be viable if he starts here as well, he’s taken over Duncan Robinson’s role here as their 3PT specialist and he’s pretty cheap on both sites as well. Tyler Herro is also in play here, but his ceiling takes a hit when Butler and Lowry are both back.

Now for the Wizards, they have been on a steady decline as the season wears on and they draw a tough matchup here going up against this Miami team in what is the lowest total of the night. Your main target here will be Spencer Dinwiddie because Beal is still out here, he has a decent matchup here but I don’t love the total on this game. Kyle Kuzma has also seen a usage increase with Beal out, but the price has come up a good amount on both sites, and with Montrezl Harrell and Thomas Bryant both back (deep GPP options) back it really handcuffs Daniel Gafford. If you want a really deep option, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has had some big games this year when Beal is out, he is a deeper GPP value play that I actually like here tonight as well.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler

4-star play: Spencer Dinwiddie, Kyle Kuzma, Kyle Lowry, Bam Adebayo

Deeper Value: Tyler Herro, PJ Tucker, Montrezl Harrell, Thomas Bryant, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

GPP Sleeper: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Phoenix Suns @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 229

Vegas Spread: Phx -7.5

Starting with the Suns, Vegas expects this game to stay close, and it’ll be one I target here tonight as it has the highest total on the night. Devin Booker draws the best matchup of the crew here as the Bulls have really struggled to defend the guard positions with Lonzo Ball out. Chris Paul is also in play here but his price is sky high on both sites, but the production has been insane especially in the assist department and we know that he can torch any of these young guys the Bulls will throw at him. Mikal Bridges is also in play here as well but he has good upside and he’ll be low owned. Deandre Ayton has also returned, but he draws a more difficult matchup tonight going up against Vuc though. Jae Crowder is also back here and he kills Cameron Johnson, but on a 5 game slate I think you can still go there if you really want to go deep. Lastly, Cameron Payne will be running the 2nd unit, he’s always in play for GPPs on smaller slates like these.

Now for the Bulls, they are gonna be short handed again here tonight, as Lonzo Ball is out again here and they have a few guys listed as GTDs which will effect how this slate turns out. Coby White and Zach LaVine are both GTDs here, and both missed last game so I could see them missing here as well, if that is the case then Nikola Vucevic and DeMar Derozan will be in for huge usage although this is a more difficult matchup for both of them. If LaVine misses that would also make Ayo Dosunmu a premier play on this slate as he’s already been starting and his assist totals have been making us rich the past few days as well. Keep an eye on news here as this could really effect how this slate turns out. If you’re looking to get really deep as well, Matt Thomas played 34 minutes last game but didn’t do too much.

5-star play: Devin Booker, DeMar Derozan

4-star play: Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, Nikola Vucevic, Ayo Dosunmu

Deeper Value: Matt Thomas, Coby White, Mika Bridges, Cameron Payne

GPP Sleeper: Matt Thomas (if White and LaVine out), Cameron Payne

Golden State Warriors @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 211.5

Vegas Spread: Gsw -12.5

Starting with the Warriors, it looks like Draymond will be out again here, but Steph Curry could be a slate breaker here, as he is looking to get his shot back after a string of horrible performances, he is due for a breakout game and with the pace of this game and he’ll be underowned on this slate due to the blowout risk. Otto Porter is going to be out again here, which makes Andrew Wiggins playable here as the Warriors are pretty banged up right now. Kevon Looney should also see big minutes here as the Warriors are really hurting for bodies in their frontcourt. Klay Thompson’s minutes are also trending in the right direction, and with all these guys out he could be a slate breaker as well. If you’re looking to get really deep, Jonathan Kuminga and Damion Lee both saw the most minutes off the bench last game, and Jordan Poole is even in play here as well if you think this game blows out.

Now for the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is gonna be out until after the All-Star break so this makes this Thunder team even harder to target as he was their main source of offense.. Josh Giddey is super consistent as well for a rookie, and he contributes in all categories which is nice as well, he is a solid play as his minutes should be blowout proof here. If you’re looking to get deeper, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Ty Jerome, and Darius Bazley are also all in play here for value as this OKC team is gonna have a lot of usage leftover with Shai out. Lastly, Mamadi Diakite is also a decent value play here if he continues to start as well.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Steph Curry, Josh Giddey, Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson, Darius Bazley

Deeper Value: Mamadi Diakite, Ty Jerome, Jonathan Kuminga, Damion Lee

GPP Sleeper: Mamadi Diakite, Kenrich Williams, Jonathan Kuminga

New York Knicks @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 219.5

Vegas Spread: Uth -8

Starting with the Knicks, this should be a pretty competitive game as Utah is still a bit banged up and we have a decent spread on this game. The Knicks are led by Julius Randle, but he draws a solid matchup here tonight with Gobert still out. Mitchell Robinson has also been playing very well and he gets the benefit of Gobert being out as well, but with Nerlens Noel back it really caps his upside. RJ Barrett has been on fire as well the past few games, and if Cam Reddish is still not too involved here which leaves Evan Fournier in play as well. If you’re looking to get deeper, Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks are also viable here as Kemba Walker has already been ruled out for rest purposes tonight.

Now for the Jazz, they’ve gotten Donovan Mitchell back and he draws a solid matchup as this NY team is not great at defending the guard position and he is pretty cheap with Gobert out. Mike Conley draws a solid matchup here as well and he is pretty cheap, he’d be an even better play if Jordan Clarkson misses again, as he’s missed the past 2 games. Gobert is still out here as well, and you have a possible slate breaker in Hassan Whiteside playing tonight, but they started Udoka Azubuike last game and he would be a solid value if he starts again tonight. Bojan Bogdanovic and Royce O’Neale are also deeper GPP options here on a smaller slate. Lastly, Joe Ingles is done for the year, which makes Trent Forrest viable as well, but he needs Clarkson to be out to really smash value.

5-star play: Julius Randle, Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Mike Conley, Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett, Hassan Whiteside, Alec Burks

Deeper Value: Udoka Azubuike (if he starts), Trent Forrest, Bojan Bogdanovic, Immanuel Quickley

GPP Sleeper: Immanuel Quickley, Trent Forrest (if Clarkson is out)
