Minnesota Timberwolves @ Detroit Pistons
Vegas Total: 225.5
Vegas Spread: Min -7.5
Starting with the Timberwolves, this is going to be a nice matchup for them. Karl-Anthony Towns has a great matchup here as no one in DET’s frontcourt can hang with him. D’Angelo Russell went down with a calf injury the other night and he hasn’t been back, so I can see him missing tonight, but Patrick Beverley has returned last game so he take a little shine out of Anthony Edwards, but both will see an increase in usage, I love Edwards here tonight. Jarred Vanderbilt would also see an increase in usage and he’s been very solid the past few games. If Russell misses as well I’d expect Jordan McLaughlin and Jaylen Nowell to be solid coming off the bench if you need value. Lastly, I’d also expect Taurean Prince to start as well but he is a deep MME type play, but I made this call last game and Prince returned 11x value.
Now for the Pistons, Cade Cunningham has found his groove again and he gets a solid matchup here against this MIN backcourt, but his matchup does get a bit tougher with Pat Bev in. Saddiq Bey has been a scoring machine at times this year as well, he is a slate breaker at his price on FanDuel if he gets hot, this is a great matchup for him here and I love him in GPPs tonight. If you’re looking for some decent value, Cory Joseph should start again here, especially if Killian Hayes is out again, but either way Joseph has jumped him in the rotation. The health of Kelly Olynyk will also be a factor here, he played last game, and he is very viable again tonight if he is in. If he were to miss, then Isaiah Stewart and Trey Lyles would both become viable here.
5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards
4-star play: Cade Cunningham, Patrick Beverley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Saddiq Bey
Deeper Value: Kelly Olynyk, Trey Lyles, Jaylen Nowell, Cory Joseph
GPP Sleeper: Taurean Prince
Phoenix Suns @ Atlanta Hawks
Vegas Total: 223.5
Vegas Spread: Phx -5.5
Starting with the Suns, Vegas expects this game to stay close, and it’ll be one I target here tonight. Devin Booker draws the best matchup of the crew here even with Ayton returning last game. Chris Paul is also in play here but his price is sky high on both sites, but the production has been insane especially in the assist department and we know that Trae plays 0 defense. Mikal Bridges is also in play here as well but he has good upside and he’ll be low owned. Deandre Ayton returned last game, he draws a solid matchup here and should get full run as well. Jae Crowder also returned last game which kills any upside that Cameron Johnson had. Lastly, Cameron Payne will be running the 2nd unit, he’s always in play for GPPs on smaller slates like these.
Now for the Hawks, Trae Young is going to be your main target here, as he has 60+ upside when he gets hot and given the matchup I don’t see him being too highly owned here. Clint Capela is a solid option here tonight as well, but with the Hawks getting healthy and John Collins in as well his upside is capped a bit. Those are my two main targets here, but if you’re looking to get a bit different, John Collins, De’Andre Hunter, and Kevin Huerter are all viable here tonight, with my favorite being Hunter as Cam Reddish is now out of the picture. Bogdan Bogdanovic has also returned here, he is viable if he starts as this should be a super close game here tonight.
5-star play: Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Trae Young
4-star play: John Collins, Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Deandre Ayton
Deeper Value: Jae Crowder, Cameron Payne, Kevin Huerter, Mikal Bridges
GPP Sleeper: Cameron Payne

Chicago Bulls @ Toronto Raptors
Vegas Total: 224.5
Vegas Spread: Tor -3
Now for the Bulls, they are gonna be short handed again here tonight, as Lonzo Ball is out again here and they will be without a few role players here as well. Coby White will be in play here, as he is decently cheap and gets a great matchup against this 2nd team Raptors backcourt as they are not good defensively, but I want him to start as he didn’t last game. Zach LaVine is on his way back and he’s been heating up, we know that Toronto is not a great defensive team, but he has popped up as a GTD here. The Raptors has also been bad against bigs, which makes Nikola Vucevic a very good play here as well as this Raptors frontcourt is very young and inexperienced. Of course DeMar Derozan does a little of it all for this Bulls team and he would get a major boost here if LaVine were to miss. If LaVine misses that would also make Ayo Dosunmu a premier play on this slate as he’s already been starting.
Now for the Raptors, Pascal Siakam has been playing like a man possessed the past few weeks and he is still very viable at his price on FanDuel tonight, the Bulls have been allowing a lot of FPs at the 4 position as well which makes this a great matchup for him. Fred VanVleet has also been a bit banged up but he should be good to go here and draws a good matchup here as the Bulls backcourt is very young and inexperienced defensively right now. If FVV were to miss for any reason, Gary Trent would become a great play as he’ll run the point, but either way he’s been on absolute fire the past few games. OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes are both viable here as well, although the two eat into each other’s upside so I wouldn’t pair them. If you want to get really deep, Precious Achiuwa is their main big but he has a tough matchup against Vuc here tonight.
5-star play: Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, DeMar Derozan (if LaVine out)
4-star play: Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, OG Anunoby, Gary Trent, Scottie Barnes
Deeper Value: Ayo Dosunmu, Coby White, Precious Achiuwa
GPP Sleeper: Gary Trent, Ayo Dosunmu
Miami Heat @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 219.5
Vegas Spread: Mia -3.5
Starting with the Heat, it looks like Lowry will still be out here tonight, so that makes me like point Jimmy Butler here as he returned last game and gets the dream matchup against this Spurs backcourt. Tyler Herro also draws a solid matchup here going up against this Spurs backcourt and I like him running the 2nd unit. Bam Adebayo has been back as well and he’s been great, he draws a premier matchup tonight here as this Spurs frontcourt was decimated last game, no one can contain him here. PJ Tucker is a deep flier you can take as well in this matchup but not someone I’m seeking out like ever. Max Strus would be viable if he starts here as well, he’s taken over Duncan Robinson’s role here as their 3PT specialist and he’s pretty cheap on both sites.
Now for the Spurs, Dejounte Murray has a tougher matchup here as he’ll see a lot of Jimmy B. Derrick White is also a very solid play here as he’s been hot as well and he has the better matchup of the two. Keldon Johnson is also cheap on both sites here, but he’s been very scoring dependent this year and that can make or break your lineups, but in this game they’ll need him to step up as Murray has a very difficult matchup. Jakob Poeltl, Drew Eubanks and Jock Landale all suffered injuries last game, Poeltl and Landale have already been ruled out so Eubanks is gonna be force into huge minutes here and he’s cheap on both sites. If you’re looking for value, Doug McDermott has continued to start and play solid minutes but is not a high usage guy in this offense, but they’ll need him to play more with some of their bigs out tonight.
5-star play: Jimmy Butler
4-star play: Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, Keldon Johnson, Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo
Deeper Value: Drew Eubanks, Doug McDermott, Max Strus, PJ Tucker
GPP Sleeper: Doug McDermott
Sacramento Kings @ Golden State Warriors
Vegas Total: 221
Vegas Spread: Gsw -13
Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox missed last nights game again, but if he returns here it is a solid matchup. If he were to miss again then I’d take some shots on Tyrese Haliburton as he has shown that he is the real deal with this Kings team, and if Fox is out he is way too cheap here. Harrison Barnes has been solid all year as well, and he gets to face off against his old team that wouldn’t pay him. Richaun Holmes should also see big minutes here with Draymond out again, and he’s pretty cheap on both sites. Moe Harkless has also found his way back into the rotation, if you’re desperate for value you can go to him. Lastly, Buddy Hield would be viable off the bench here if Fox were to miss, if his shot is falling he can rack up FPs in a hurry and he’ll be virtually unowned.
Now for the Warriors, it looks like Draymond will be out again here, but Steph Curry could be a slate breaker here, as he is looking to get his shot back after a string of horrible performances, he is due for a breakout game and with the pace of this game I expect him to thrive here, he should also be fresh after resting last game as well. Otto Porter missed last game as well, if he is back he is a great play here tonight at his price as the Kings bleed FPs to 4/5s. Andrew Wiggins is in play here as well in GPPs but never someone that I seek out, he’d only be in play for me if Porter were to miss again. Kevon Looney could also see solid minutes here as this Kings team has a lot of big bodies they like to throw out there he had a solid game last time out but that was because basically all of the Warriors starting 5 was otu. Lastly, Klay Thompson’s minutes are trending in the right direction, and this Kings team could open the flood gates for him here tonight.
5-star play: Steph Curry
4-star play: Tyrese Haliburton, De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Richaun Holmes, Otto Porter, Klay Thompson
Deeper Value: Damion Lee, Kevon Looney, Moe Harkless
GPP Sleeper: Buddy Hield
Los Angeles Lakers @ Los Angeles Clippers
Vegas Total: 217.5
Vegas Spread: Lac -2.5
The Lakers are a mess right now, and it looks like LeBron may be out again here after he missed last nights game. Anthony Davis did play well last night, but we’re gonna need news on these guys as they usually don’t like to play him in B2B’s. If both of those guys are out then Russell Westbrook would be a core play as his usage would skyrocket with those two out. Malik Monk is gonna be a solid value play here as well, as he has been on fire recently and he’s cheap on both sites. If you’re looking to get really deep you can round it out with guys like Dwight Howard and Talen Horton-Tucker, although I’m never high on either of these guys.
Now for the Clippers, they’ve been a bit of a dumpster fire lately but they have a few viable options. Amir Coffey has been playing the most minutes out of any of them, as he sees 30+ minutes a game and he’s been solid from a value perspective. Ivica Zubac is gonna be in a tougher spot here, but he’s been solid and this Clippers team is surprisingly decent. Overall I won’t be targeting this Clippers team outside of Coffey myself, but if you’re in need of some GPP options, Reggie Jackson can light it up from time to time, and Terance Mann has shown upside at times as well. The line looks like AD will be out though, so there could be some decent pieces from this Clippers team here in GPPs.
5-star play: Anthony Davis (if in), Russell Westbrook (if Bron and AD out)
4-star play: Amir Coffey, Malik Monk, Ivica Zubac, Reggie Jackson
Deeper Value: Terance Mann, Eric Bledsoe, Dwight Howard, Talen Horton-Tucker
GPP Sleeper: Reggie Jackson, Amir Coffey
