Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
Atlanta Hawks @ Orlando Magic
Vegas Total: 227.5
Vegas Spread: Atl -6.0
We’ll kick this slate off starting with the Hawks, I was all over Clint Capela last night and was actually a core play on our cheat sheets for me. He ended up not producing all that well but the minutes were there again, I will likely go right back to the well with him in a great matchup with John Collins out again to secure those minutes. Trae Young had a massive night last night and now has at least 55 DraftKings points in three of his last four and has a really nice price tag here, particularly on DraftKings. Bogdan Bogdanovic has been in much better as of late and a guy that I don’t mind as a secondary option. Danilo Gallinari got his minutes up over 30 last night, he and De’Andre Hunter should see a nice boost with Collins out again. Then we can round this team out with Kevin Huerter as a filler-type play. From the Magic, at this point, we kind of know what we’re getting with Cole Anthony. The price tag will continue to look good from a GPP perspective due to the ceiling he can provide, but we saw how volatile the floor can be last time out. Wendell Carter Jr. dropped a 50 burger on the Nuggets last time out and is a guy I have no issue going right back to here. While Mo Bamba would be more of a GPP option, he’s been extremely volatile as of late. Jalen Suggs will continue to look like a secondary option, the minutes should be consistent moving forward. The same can be said for Franz Wagner who has shown a bit more volatility as of late than we’re used to seeing with him.
5-star play: Trae Young, Clint Capela
4-star play: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter Jr., Jalen Suggs
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Danilo Gallinari, De’Andre Hunter, Kevin Huerter, Franz Wagner

Detroit Pistons @ Boston Celtics
Vegas Total: 214.0
Vegas Spread: Bos -12.5
Starting with the Pistons, Cade Cunningham continues to be the most volatile DFS option in the league out of nowhere. He’s been held under 26 fantasy points in four of his last five games and the Celtics have been playing some really good defense as of late. Jerami Grant hasn’t exactly been phenomenal as of late either, he would be more of a GPP guy, but I do like the price tag for him. Saddiq Bey has been one of the more consistent options on the Pistons and a nice GPP option, but again, I don’t love this matchup right now. Isaiah Stewart is in a similar boat but makes sense in tournaments due to how weak the Celtics can be on the rebounding front. Marvin Bagley joined the rotation last time out as well and played 21 minutes. I would expect he’s around that number again here. Then we can round out the Pistons with Hamidou Diallo has a secondary GPP option, he’s been in relatively good form for his current price tag. From the Celtics, it’ll be tough to find a guy that didn’t have a big game for them last night as they demolished the Sixers. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are both solid options again here in a nice matchup against a weak defense. We’ll need to keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed as Robert Williams missed last night’s game and should come into this one as questionable. If he misses again we can expect a boost from Al Horford, Daniel Theis, and Grant Williams. Derrick White will likely come off of the bench again, however, Marcus Smart left last night’s game and didn’t return. If he’s unavailable tonight I would think we see White slide into the starting lineup and would be a solid play at this price tag.
***Assuming Robert Williams is OUT***
5-star play: Jayson Tatum
4-star play: Cade Cunningham, Jerami Grant, Saddiq Bey, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Marcus Smart, Derrick White
Deeper Value: Grant Williams
GPP Sleeper: Cade Cunningham, Isaiah Stewart, Marvin Bagley, Hamidou Diallo, Daniel Theis, Al Horford
Washington Wizards @ Indiana Pacers
Vegas Total: 225.0
Vegas Spread: NA
Starting with the Wizards, Kristaps Porzingis won’t be available here, and with Spencer Dinwiddie now off of the team and Bradley Beal out, there will be a lot of usage to go around. We’ll start with Kyle Kuzma who should run most of this offense and has a 25.5% usage rate with 1.07 fantasy points per minute with Beal and Dinwiddie off of the court. This is a great matchup and a guy I like even at an elevated price tag. Raul Neto should continue to start and is a fine option, he’s never really a sexy play, but he’ll be around 30 minutes again in a nice spot. I would think Thomas Bryant continues to see around 20 minutes again here but would think those start to go up sooner rather than later with Montrezl Harrell traded as well. Corey Kispert will continue to play big minutes but can be a little scoring dependent, that said, with Beal and Dinwiddie gone they’ll need his shooting. Then we can round this slate out with Ish Smith and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as GPP options. From the Pacers, they were extremely popular last night and should be again tonight in a great matchup with the Wizards, and Malcolm Brogdon is likely out again along with Chris Duarte and Isaiah Jackson. Tyrese Haliburton continues to play great basketball and is a guy I’ll go right back to. Since joining the Pacers he has an 18.4% usage rate and 1.23 fantasy points per minute. I was all over Buddy Hield last night and he had a big game against the Bucks, he won’t shoot 8-12 from three-point range again but will continue to play massive minutes. Oshae Brissett struggled big-time last night, but assuming he’s in the starting lineup again I don’t have a problem going back to him. Jalen Smith started yesterday but got into quick foul trouble, he looked great while he was out there and will be a guy I go right back to. Lastly, Goga Bitadze looked solid as well and gets a nice matchup, he’s a fine GPP option but can be pretty risky.
5-star play: Kyle Kuzma, Tyrese Haliburton, Jalen Smith (DraftKings)
4-star play: Raul Neto, Jalen Smith (FanDuel), Oshae Brissett, Buddy Hield
Deeper Value: Jalen Smith (DraftKings)
GPP Sleeper: Thomas Bryant, Raul Neto, Ish Smith, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Goga Bitadze
Brooklyn Nets @ New York Knicks
Vegas Total: 217.5
Vegas Spread: Nyk -4.5
Starting with the Nets, they’re going to be a mess at home going forward with Kevin Durant out, Kyrie Irving unable to play in New York, James Harden traded, and who knows when Ben Simmons will be available. Seth Curry was a guy I was all over in his Brooklyn debut and you can see why. He’ll have a chance to run the offense again tonight with Patty Mills, I don’t love the matchup with the Knicks, but the price is awesome. Andre Drummond started last time out and played 24 minutes, I would expect something similar tonight, and looks like a nice option. He’s an elite per-minute guy and can easily double-double in that amount of time with upside if his minutes do go up. Patty Mills has not been good as of late being held under 20 fantasy points in four straight games. He has a 26.4% usage rate and 0.93 fantasy points per minute with these three off of the court this season, so if you want to make a case for tournaments I would be okay with that. Bruce Brown was someone I liked as a GPP value last time out and will look great again tonight after dropping a 50 burger on the Kings. I wouldn’t expect five steals again, but he played 38 minutes and that is more than enough to get you there at this price tag. Then we can round the team out with LaMarcus Aldridge as a nice secondary option, he has a 30% usage rate with these three Nets guys off of the court. From the Knicks, they’re a mess as well, outside of Julius Randle who has regained his form from last season seemingly out of nowhere. He has at least 56 DraftKings points in four straight games and looks like a nice option again here. We kind of know the story on Evan Fournier by now, if you want to play him I won’t talk you out of it but is a guy I’m never really all that thrilled to roster, that said, he’s coming off of a 50 burger last time out as well. Throw Mitchell Robinson in the 50 point club as well, he now has at least 50 DraftKings points in two of his last four games, and looks like a nice option here. I do think Kemba Walker is worth a flyer with RJ Barrett out again, the minutes become more secure and the matchup is nice as ugly as it sounds. Lastly, the price has come up on Quentin Grimes but it’s well warranted after dropping back to back 30+ fantasy nights. I don’t love him from a per-minute perspective but it’s hard to argue with the minutes he’s getting right now.
5-star play: Seth Curry, Bruce Brown (DraftKings), Julius Randle
4-star play: Andre Drummond, Bruce Brown (FanDuel), LaMarcus Aldridge, Evan Fournier, Mitchell Robinson, Kemba Walker, Quentin Grimes
Deeper Value: Quentin Grimes, Bruce Brown (DraftKings)
GPP Sleeper: Patty Mills, Evan Fournier, Mitchell Robinson, Kemba Walker
I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!
Sacramento Kings @ Chicago Bulls
Vegas Total: 234.0
Vegas Spread: Chi -6.0
Starting with the Kings, Domantas Sabonis had a rough outing last time out but lost some minutes due to a blowout with the Nets. I have no issue going right back to him here at a nice price tag. De’Aaron Fox will continue to be a guy that I’ll probably hold for tournaments only due to the volatility he’s shown this season, but he was in pretty good form as we approached the trade deadline last week. Harrison Barnes is in the same boat, he’s been in good form but I just have a hard time trusting him in cash games at this price tag as we saw last game where he scored just 16 fantasy points. Davion Mitchell got moved to the bench with Justin Holiday in town now which I don’t exactly love, I can’t play him at this price tag if he’s coming off of the bench. Speaking of Justin Holiday, he should continue to start but just doesn’t do enough while he’s out there for me to have much interest in him. Lastly, Donte DiVincenzo looked great in his Kings debut playing 27 minutes off of the bench last time out. I think there’s a chance he gets up near 30 minutes again and looks like a nice value option here. From the Bulls, DeMar DeRozan is in great form, and with Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball still out he should continue to carry this team, he’s a great option here with at least 52 DraftKings points in four of his last five games. The same can be said for Nikola Vucevic who will look like a great option again here against a poor Kings frontcourt. Coby White is probably more of a GPP guy due to the volatility we get with him, but we know the minutes will be there and I love the matchup and pace in this one. The same can be said for Ayo Dosunmu, this is a great spot for him as he continues to play all the minutes he can handle.
5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic
4-star play: Domantas Sabonis, De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, Donte DiVincenzo, Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu
Deeper Value: Donte DiVincenzo
GPP Sleeper: De’Aaron Fox, Donte DiVincenzo, Davion Mitchell, Javonte Green

Portland Trailblazers @ Memphis Grizzlies
Vegas Total: 227.5
Vegas Spread: Mem -12.0
Starting with the Blazers, Josh Hart had a big game last time out and will continue to play big minutes, he looks like a nice option in all formats again here. The price tag on Jusuf Nurkic is just a bit too high for me but it’s hard to argue with the production he’s shown as of late, he’s a nice GPP option. I have no issue going right back to Anfernee Simons, he’s going to play big minutes and has at least 47 DraftKings points in back-to-back games. We finally get to see Justise Winslow get some run now that he’s on the Blazers, I like him at this price tag, and has looked good since coming over to the team with at least 30 fantasy points in each game. From the Grizzlies, Ja Morant missed last night’s game and I would think he misses this one as well to give him that extra break before the All-Star break…. meaning we can fire Tyus Jones right back. Assuming Morant is out, Jones will be a free square tonight coming off of a massive game last night and the sites didn’t get time to change his price tag. Below is how the rest of the team operates with Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks off of the court this season:
- Tyus Jones – 19.3% usage rate; 1.03 fpm
- Jaren Jackson – 33.2% usage rate; 1.34 fpm
- Desmond Bane – 26.1% usage rate; 1.13 fpm
- De’Anthony Melton – 24% usage rate; 1.19 fpm
These four all look like great options in a good matchup with the Blazers in a game with nearly a 230 implied total.
5-star play: Tyus Jones, Jaren Jackson Jr.
4-star play: Josh Hart, Jusuf Nurkic, Anfernee Simons, Justise Winslow, Desmond Bane, De’Anthony Melton
Deeper Value: Tyus Jones
GPP Sleeper: De’Anthony Melton, Brandon Clarke
Toronto Raptors @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Vegas Total: 230.5
Vegas Spread: Min -1.0
Starting with the Raptors, Pascal Siakam is playing out of his mind right now, he had a rough game last time out as they struggled with a blowout, but this spot looks elite for Siakam and the Raptors. The price came down on him and I love the matchup with the Wolves, he’ll be a guy I like quite a bit. Fred VanVleet comes into this one as questionable which will be big news we’ll need here, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates. Scottie Barnes and OG Anunoby feel like very similar guys, they both had rough games last time out, but this whole team did honestly. This is an elite bounce-back spot for them and they look like nice options here. Gary Trent Jr. is in the same boat with back-to-back tough games. He’s more of a secondary GPP option for me at his current price tag due to the scoring dependency that he has. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns had a massive game last night against the Hornets and will be a guy I like going right back to against this Raptors frontcourt. Anthony Edwards left last night’s game and didn’t return, so he’ll come into this one as questionable. I’ll operate under the assumption that he plays, but again, a scenario that we’ll want to watch the Breaking News Feed on. D’Angelo Russell would benefit if he’s unable to go but Russell will be a guy I like regardless at this price tag. Patrick Beverley continues to produce nicely and signed a nice contract extension yesterday. I have no issue going right back to him here, he shot 1-8 from three-point range last night and still dropped 42 FanDuel points. Lastly, Jarred Vanderbilt will look like a nice GPP option here to round out the Wolves.
5-star play: Pascal Siakam, Karl-Anthony Towns
4-star play: Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby, Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell, Patrick Beverley
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Gary Trent Jr., Jarred Vanderbilt
San Antonio Spurs @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Vegas Total: 218.5
Vegas Spread: Sas -6.5
Starting with the Spurs, Dejounte Murray will continue to look like a great option here against a weak Thunder team. He’s averaging 53.5 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Thunder this season, but the price is hard to stomach. Jakob Poeltl should be able to do whatever he wants down low against a pretty weak Thunder frontcourt. Keldon Johnson should benefit in the long run with Derrick White traded, he’s more of a tournament guy but could see some big games down the stretch. Devin Vassell had a rough game last time out but would think he continues to start with White out of town, he’s more of a tournament option right now. Lastly, Josh Richardson is expected to make his Spurs debut here, if he starts I do like the price tag on him as a salary-saver. From the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will continue to be out for this team meaning a lot of the same guys we’ve been going to, we can go right back to. Josh Giddey saw his price come up even more but had one of his best games as a pro last time out. I don’t know if I can get to this price tag, but I do love targeting guards against this Spurs team especially now that White is out of town. The price tag on Darius Bazley has climbed but for good reason, he has at least 40 DraftKings points in three straight games and playing big minutes. Then Tre Mann will look like a nice option to round this team out with Lu Dort, Ty Jerome, and Kenrich Williams all out as well. We could see some Theo Maledon and Aaron Wiggins run as well with these guys out.
5-star play: Dejounte Murray, Josh Giddey
4-star play: Jakob Poeltl, Tre Mann, Darius Bazley
Deeper Value: Josh Richardson, Theo Maledon, Aaron Wiggins
GPP Sleeper: Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson
Houston Rockets @ Phoenix Suns
Vegas Total: 234.0
Vegas Spread: Pho -16.0
Starting with the Rockets, Dennis Schroder made his debut last time out but played just 18 minutes. As long as he’s coming off of the bench he’s probably a stay away for me. The price tag just seems high on Christian Wood, it did come down a bit, and has produced nicely in this spot a few times this season, so I’ll leave him for tournaments. Kevin Porter Jr. has been in really nice form as of late and a guy I like going back to at what looks to be a fair price tag. Jae’Sean Tate isn’t a sexy option as usual, but if you land on him I don’t have a problem with using him as a filler. Then guys like Jalen Green and Eric Gordon would round this team out for me as GPP guys. From the Suns, both Chris Paul and Devin Booker have been in great form, and guys you can go right back to here. I do worry a bit about the blowout in this one, but I like being on the winning side of blowouts if I’m rostering guys, so no issue with these two here. The minutes on Deandre Ayton came up last night and a guy I have no issue going back to in a great matchup against a weak Rockets interior. Mikal Bridges has been in great form as of late with at least 26 DraftKings points in four of his last five games and we know he’s going to play massive minutes. He’s probably more of a secondary option on a big slate, but viable at the very least. Then we can round this game out with Jae Crowder as a solid tournament option as well.
5-star play: Chris Paul, Devin Booker
4-star play: Christian Wood, Kevin Porter Jr., Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Jalen Green, Eric Gordon, Jae’Sean Tate, Jae Crowder

Denver Nuggets @ Golden State Warriors
Vegas Total: 224.5
Vegas Spread: GSW -5.5
Starting with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic should be able to do whatever he wants in this spot and looks like one of the top spend-up options on the slate. He scored 60.75 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and is quite the mismatch against an undersized Warriors frontcourt. Will Barton and Aaron Gordon will be more of GPP options, but I do like the matchup for them. Then just keep an eye on the status of Monte Morris as he comes in as questionable, we could see more minutes from guys like Bones Hyland if he’s forced to miss, so watch that Breaking News Feed for updates. From the Warriors, Steph Curry has been pretty volatile as of late but the price has come down to a more playable range. I think I’d still leave him for tournaments, but a solid option nonetheless. Klay Thompson came down to Earth last time out but it’s nice to see the minutes solidify, he has a 30% usage rate with 1.2 fantasy points per minute on the season and looks like a nice option in this price range. Andrew Wiggins has looked good over his past couple of games as well but would be more of a GPP option while Klay is in there. Otto Porter Jr. should return here which will hurt the security of Jonathan Kuminga, but he continues to start and has at least 25 minutes in three straight. Then we can round the Warriors out with Kevon Looney as a fine GPP option, they’ll need his size to deal with Jokic down low.
5-star play: Nikola Jokic
4-star play: Will Barton, Aaron Gordon, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Monte Morris, Bones Hyland, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Kevon Looney
Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Lakers
Vegas Total: 226.0
Vegas Spread: Utah -5.5
Starting with the Jazz, Rudy Gobert returned last game but was promptly ejected… he should be a full go here and looks like a solid option, he was in really nice form before getting injured. Donovan Mitchell looks like a nice option here as well in a game that they should get up for against the Lakers. We kind of know what we’re getting from Mike Conley here, he’s a point-per-minute guy on the season, and a fine secondary option to help fill your lineups, but I do like this price tag for him. Then we can round this team out with Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson as secondary tournament options here. From the Lakers, LeBron James comes in as questionable in this one, so we’ll need to watch the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding his status. I’m going to operate under the assumption that he plays due to this spread being relatively close. He’s been in great form and a guy I have no issue going right back to here. Anthony Davis has cooled off a bit over his last few games, but still a guy I don’t mind now that his price has come down. Russell Westbrook will be strictly for GPPs only due to the volatility we’ve seen all season long from him. After those three, the usage can get pretty thin, so Malik Monk will be a tournament-only guy as well.
5-star play: LeBron James
4-star play: Anthony Davis, Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Russell Westbrook, Malik Monk
NBA Lock of the Day: Tyus Jones (DK – $3.1k; FD – $3.8k)
I’m going to operate under the assumption that Ja Morant is out again tonight which makes Tyus Jones a free square in all formats. The sites didn’t get a chance to increase his price, so he’s near min price on both sites and coming off of a 40 point fantasy game last night. He has a 19.3% usage rate and 1.03 fantasy points per minute on the season with Morant and Brooks out and will be a staple of my lineups tonight. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
