Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Detroit Pistons @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 218.5

Vegas Spread: Was -4.0

We’ll kick this slate off starting with the Pistons, Cade Cunningham continues to be the most volatile DFS option in the league out of nowhere. In the past five games, he has two games with at least 59 DraftKings points, and in the other three games, he has less than 25.25 fantasy points… we’ll go ahead and leave him for GPPs. The Pistons weren’t able to unload Jerami Grant at the deadline so he’ll stick with the team going forward and has a nice price tag in a great matchup. He and Saddiq Bey both look like solid GPP options. I do like going back to Isaiah Stewart, his minutes have solidified as of late, and has at least 35 fantasy points in two of his last three games. Then we can round out the Pistons with Hamidou Diallo has a secondary GPP option, he’s been in relatively good form for his current price tag. From the Wizards, Kristaps Porzingis won’t be available here, and with Spencer Dinwiddie now off of the team and Bradley Beal out, there will be a lot of usage to go around. We’ll start with Kyle Kuzma who should run most of this offense and has a 25.2% usage rate with 1.1 fantasy points per minute with Beal and Dinwiddie off of the court. This is a great matchup and a guy I like even at an elevated price tag. Raul Neto should continue to start and is a fine option, he’s never really a sexy play, but he’ll be around 30 minutes again in a nice spot. I would think Thomas Bryant continues to see around 20 minutes again here but would think those start to go up sooner rather than later with Montrezl Harrell traded as well. Corey Kispert had a big game last time out and should play 30+ minutes if you’re looking for a value option. Then we can round this slate out with Rui Hachimura and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope as GPP options.

5-star play: Kyle Kuzma, Jerami Grant

4-star play: Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart, Raul Neto, Corey Kispert

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Hamidou Diallo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Thomas Bryant, Rui Hachimura

Sacramento Kings @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 228.0

Vegas Spread: Sac -4.0

Starting with the Kings, Domantas Sabonis looked pretty solid in his first game as a King and is a guy I don’t mind going right back to in a great matchup against a banged-up Nets team. De’Aaron Fox will continue to be a guy that I’ll probably hold for tournaments only due to the volatility he’s shown this season, but he was in pretty good form as we approached the trade deadline last week. Harrison Barnes is in the same boat, he’s been in good form but I just have a hard time trusting him in cash games at this price tag. Davion Mitchell got moved to the bench with Justin Holiday in town now which I don’t exactly love, I can’t play him at this price tag if he’s coming off of the bench. Speaking of Justin Holiday, he started and played 30 minutes in his Kings debut, but just not a guy I ever really get to for DFS. Lastly, the price tag on Richaun Holmes is really intriguing, but he just hasn’t done anything as of late… he would be a tournament flyer at best. From the Nets, they’re going to be a mess at home going forward with Kevin Durant out, Kyrie Irving unable to play at home, James Harden traded, and who knows when Ben Simmons will be available. Seth Curry will have a chance to grab a pretty sizeable role on this team right away in a great matchup at a nice price tag, I like him quite a bit in this spot. I’m curious to see what they do with Andre Drummond, if he starts he would be a guy I’ll have interest in but probably not if he comes off of the bench at this price tag. Patty Mills will see a nice boost with Kyrie and Harden out of the lineup along with Durant as well. He has a 26.4% usage rate and 0.93 fantasy points per minute with these three off of the court this season. Bruce Brown will likely see big minutes here as well at a really nice price tag, if he starts he’ll be a guy I like getting to here. Then we can round the team out with LaMarcus Aldridge as a nice secondary option, he has a 30% usage rate with these three Nets guys off of the court.

5-star play: Seth Curry

4-star play: Domantas Sabonis, De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond (if starting), LaMarcus Aldridge, Bruce Brown (if starting), Patty Mills

Deeper Value: Bruce Brown

GPP Sleeper: James Johnson, Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes, Justin Holiday, Kessler Edwards, Cam Thomas

Oklahoma City Thunder @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 205.5

Vegas Spread: Nyk -8.5

Starting with the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will continue to be out for this team meaning a lot of the same guys we’ve been going to, we can go right back to. Josh Giddey is priced about right, but we know the consistency will be there with him, and looks like a solid option, although I hate this game for DFS due to the implied total and pace we should see. The price tag on Darius Bazley has climbed but for good reason, he has at least 40 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and playing big minutes. Lu Dort will continue to be a solid option as well, I would probably prefer him in GPPs, but he’s shown some consistency as of late. Then guys like Kenrich Williams, Tre Mann, and Aleksej Pokusevski will be tournament options on this team as well, but again, not a game I love to target tonight. From the Knicks, they’re a mess as well, I’m not sure what they’re doing… they didn’t move Kemba Walker or Alec Burks at the deadline while trading for Cam Reddish but refusing to play him. We can make a case for Julius Randle due to the form he’s in with at least 56 DraftKings points in four of his last five games and gets a nice matchup here, however. We kind of know the story on Evan Fournier by now, if you want to play him I won’t talk you out of it but is a guy I’m never really all that thrilled to roster. That’s really about it from this game, really ugly overall.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Josh Giddey, Darius Bazley, Lu Dort, Julius Randle

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kenrich Williams, Tre Mann, Aleksej Pokusevski, Evan Fournier

San Antonio Spurs @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 234.5

Vegas Spread: Chi -5.5

Starting with the Spurs, Dejounte Murray is a human-wrecking ball right now with at least 60 fantasy points in back-to-back games including an 80 point DraftKings night a few days ago. I have no issue going right back to him here but we’re paying through the nose for him. Keldon Johnson should benefit in the long run with Derrick White traded, he’s more of a tournament guy but could see some big games down the stretch. Jakob Poeltl dropped 44 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and is always a guy that I like getting to. Devin Vassell took the starting spot of White when he was traded, so expect to see his minutes solidify and has at least 30 fantasy points in three straight games, he looks like a nice secondary option here. Lastly, Josh Richardson is expected to make his Spurs debut here, if he starts I do like the price tag on him as a salary-saver. From the Bulls, DeMar DeRozan is in great form, and with Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball still out he should continue to carry this team, he’s a great option here. The same can be said for Nikola Vucevic who has at least 55 DraftKings points in two of his last three games and is viable in all formats as well. Coby White is probably more of a GPP guy due to the volatility we get with him, but we know the minutes will be there and I love targeting point guards against the Spurs. The same can be said for Ayo Dosunmu, this is a great spot for him.

5-star play: Dejounte Murray, DeMar DeRozan

4-star play: Keldon Johnson, Jakob Poeltl, Devin Vassell, Nikola Vucevic, Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu

Deeper Value: Josh Richardson (if starting), Troy Brown (if Javonte Green is out)

GPP Sleeper: Javonte Green, Coby White

I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!

Portland Trailblazers @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: 232.0

Vegas Spread: Mil -15.5

Starting with the Blazers, Josh Hart entered the starting lineup right away for the Blazers and played 37 minutes in his debut. I would expect this is his usual role moving forward and looks like a strong option in all formats here. The price tag on Jusuf Nurkic is just a bit too high in a game that they’re 15 point dogs in, not to mention it’s a pace-up spot and I worry about him being able to stay out of foul trouble. I have no issue going right back to Anfernee Simons, he’s going to play big minutes and with an implied total over 230, he’s a guy I’ll like getting to here. We finally get to see Justise Winslow get some run now that he’s on the Blazers, I like him at this price tag, and has looked good since coming over to the team. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo should be able to do whatever he wants in this one and looks like one of the better spend-up options on the slate. People will worry about the blowout which is a fair concern, but use it as a tie-breaker if you’re teetering between him and another superstar on this slate. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday both look like fine options, but not guys I think we need to force in here by any means. I don’t have an issue going back to Bobby Portis at this price tag either, we know the minutes will continue to be there for him in a nice matchup. Lastly, I would think Serge Ibaka is available to make his Bucks debut tonight and will be a GPP flyer at best. I would expect he slides into that DeMarcus Cousins role we saw earlier this season of 15-20 minutes per night which is what he was generally seeing with the Clippers.

5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Justise Winslow

4-star play: Josh Hart, Anfernee Simons, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, Grayson Allen

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Serge Ibaka, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton

Toronto Raptors @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: 222.5

Vegas Spread: Tor -5.0

Starting with the Raptors, Pascal Siakam is playing out of his mind right now but is priced like he is. He’s now priced over $10k on both sites, but the matchup is nice and I think he’s a guy we can go back to here. Fred VanVleet will continue to look like a nice secondary option due to the minutes he’s playing and I do like the matchup here for him as well. Scottie Barnes and OG Anunoby feel like very similar guys, we know the minutes will be high on both of them, so I don’t have any issues playing them in any format in this matchup. Gary Trent Jr. came crashing down to Earth last time out after dropping nearly 60 fantasy points against the Rockets. He’s more of a secondary GPP option for me at his current price tag due to the scoring dependency that he has. From the Pelicans, CJ McCollum came in with a bang in his Pels debut dropping a 36 point triple-double, and the price tag looks really nice on him again here. Brandon Ingram hasn’t been in great form, so I’ll keep him for GPPs with McCollum now in town to take away some usage. Jonas Valanciunas just feels a bit overpriced right now and we haven’t seen that big ceiling game from him as of late as they experiment with these “two-bigs” lineups with Hernangomez, Herbert Jones, and Jaxson Hayes next to him. Hayes has come crashing down to Earth, but I don’t have an issue playing Jones at this price tag. Then we can round this team out with Devonte’ Graham as a tournament option as well, he’s been extremely volatile as of late.

5-star play: Pascal Siakam, CJ McCollum

4-star play: Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr., Jonas Valanciunas, Herbert Jones, Brandon Ingram

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Gary Trent Jr., Herbert Jones, Jaxson Hayes, Jonas Valanciunas, Devonte’ Grahm, Brandon Ingram

Orlando Magic @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: 225.0

Vegas Spread: Den -10.5

Starting with the Magic, at this point, we kind of know what we’re getting with Cole Anthony. The price tag will continue to look good from a GPP perspective due to the ceiling he can provide. The Magic will need the size of Wendell Carter Jr. and Mo Bamba to help deal with Nikola Jokic down low in this one and look like nice options if they’re able to stay out of foul trouble. Jalen Suggs will continue to look like a secondary option, the minutes should be consistent moving forward. The same can be said for Franz Wagner who has shown a bit more volatility as of late than we’re used to seeing with him. From the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic should be able to do whatever he wants in this spot and looks like one of the top spend-up options on the slate. Will Barton and Aaron Gordon will be more of GPP options, but I do like the revenge game narrative for Gordon against the team that drafted him. Then just keep an eye on the status of Monte Morris as he comes in as questionable, we could see more minutes from guys like Bones Hyland if he’s forced to miss, so watch that Breaking News Feed for updates.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic

4-star play: Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter Jr., Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, Will Barton, Aaron Gordon

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Mo Bamba, Will Barton, Aaron Gordon

Houston Rockets @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 230.5

Vegas Spread: Utah -14.5

Starting with the Rockets, it sounds like Dennis Schroder will join the team and be available for this one. If he’s in the starting lineup, he’ll be a guy that I have a lot of interest in at this price tag. The price tag just seems high on Christian Wood, I’ll have more interest in him if Rudy Gobert continues to sit for the Jazz… but still would be more of a secondary tournament guy. Kevin Porter Jr. has been in really nice form as of late and a guy I like going back to at what looks to be a fair price tag. Jae’Sean Tate isn’t a sexy option as usual, but if you land on him I don’t have a problem with using him as a filler. Then guys like Jalen Green and Eric Gordon would round this team out for me as GPP guys. From the Jazz, Rudy Gobert comes in as questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding his status. We can go right back to the Hassan Whiteside well if he is out again, this is a great matchup for whichever one starts. Donovan Mitchell looks like a nice option here as well against a pretty weak Rockets defense. We kind of know what we’re getting from Mike Conley here, he’s a point-per-minute guy on the season, and a fine secondary option to help fill your lineups. Then we can round this team out with Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson as secondary tournament options here.

*** Assuming Rudy Gobert is OUT ***

5-star play: Dennis Schroder (if starting), Hassan Whiteside

4-star play: Christian Wood, Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen Green, Jae’Sean Tate, Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic

Deeper Value: Dennis Schroder

GPP Sleeper: Jalen Green, Eric Gordon, Christian Wood, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson

Golden State Warriors @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 221.0

Vegas Spread: GSW -6.0

Starting with the Warriors, Steph Curry has been pretty volatile as of late but has performed well against the Clippers this season averaging 63.9 DraftKings points per game in two games on the year. He looks like a nice spend-up GPP option if you can’t get up to the $11-12k guys. Klay Thompson has 30 minutes in back to back games and should be the norm moving forward and has a 30% usage rate with 1.2 fantasy points per minute on the season, he looks like a nice option in this price range. Andrew Wiggins has looked good over his past couple of games as well, but would be more of a GPP option while Klay is in there. Otto Porter Jr. should return here which will hurt the security of Jonathan Kuminga, but whoever starts will look like a nice GPP option. That said, the minutes have been there for Kuminga regardless if you want to get a few shares of him. Then we can round the Warriors out with Kevon Looney as a fine GPP option if you land on him, but not the sexiest DFS player by any means. From the Clippers, they lost Norman Powell last time out and traded Serge Ibaka to the Bucks, so they’ll be down a few bodies while acquiring Rodney Hood which is pretty blah for me. The main pieces you’ll want from this team are Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris for me. Both have looked pretty good as of late, Jackson in particular should handle most of the ball-handling duties with Bledsoe out of town and Powell out. Look for Terance Mann and Amir Coffey to soak up those Powell minutes and look like fine tournament options here as well in what should be a pretty high-scoring game. Ibaka being out of town should secure the minutes a bit more of Ivica Zubac and looks like a solid GPP option, I would like him a lot more if they weren’t playing a Warriors team that likes to force teams to go small. Going off of that, we could see a lot of smaller lineups with guys like Nic Batum and Robert Covington, I would expect good minutes for both of them and look like nice secondary options.

5-star play: Steph Curry, Reggie Jackson

4-star play: Klay Thompson, Marcus Morris, Terance Mann, Amir Coffey, Ivica Zubac

Deeper Value: Amir Coffey, Nic Batum

GPP Sleeper: Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Otto Porter Jr., Nic Batum, Robert Covington, Ivica Zubac

NBA Lock of the Day: DeMar DeRozan (DK – $10.2k; FD – $10.4k)

I’m going to spend some money on today’s lock of the day and go back to DeMar DeRozan here. He’s been in great form as of late with at least 53 FanDuel points in four of his last five games. The Bulls are still without Zach LaVine, Alex Caruso, and Lonzo Ball. With these guys off of the court this season DeRozan is looking at a 38.2% usage rate and 1.3 DraftKings points per minute. Not to mention, he gets a revenge game against his old squad which he dropped 51.5 DraftKings points on earlier this season. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
