Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Denver Nuggets @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 219.0

Vegas Spread: Den -7.0

We’ll kick this slate off starting with the Nuggets, it’s going to be really hard not to like Nikola Jokic here as he comes in with at least 62 FanDuel points in four straight games and just steamrolling everyone. Not to mention a 62 point game against the Pistons last time out. They won’t have anyone to slow him down and looks like an elite option here. Aaron Gordon has been in better form as of late but I can’t say that I love the price tag, he’s more of a tournament option. Will Barton has been a bit more volatile as of late but still a fine option in GPPs, while Monte Morris is still playing big minutes and a solid secondary option. From the Pistons, Cade Cunningham has bounced back in a big way as of late, the price tag has come up but I still think it’s slightly too cheap considering his upside. Saddiq Bey and Hamidou Diallo would be tournament-only guys for me on a bigger slate like we have tonight. Detroit continues to play the hot hand between Trey Lyles and Isaiah Stewart. That being said, they’ll need the size to help defend Jokic down low, so I like taking the savings on Stewart here. Lastly, Cory Joseph will look like a nice mid-range option if Frank Jackson is forced to miss again.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic

4-star play: Aaron Gordon, Will Barton, Cade Cunningham, Isaiah Stewart

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Monte Morris, Aaron Gordon, Trey Lyles, Saddiq Bey, Hamidou Diallo, Cory Joseph

Los Angeles Clippers @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 215.5

Vegas Spread: Was -5.0

Starting with the Clippers, if I’m being honest, this team is really ugly right now especially on a 9-game slate. That said, Reggie Jackson has been in better form as of late with at least 34 DraftKings points in four straight games and in a nice matchup, looks pretty good here. Marcus Morris, on the other hand, has been a bit more volatile and would be more of a GPP-type guy for me. Nicolas Batum has been in a similar boat but has boomed a bit harder when he’s played well. I have no issue with him again, he should continue to play big minutes. Ivica Zubac had a big game last time out and has been playing bigger minutes as of late and gets a great matchup here. Then guys like Eric Bledsoe and Amir Coffee would be closer to MME guys than anything. The Wizards are in a similar boat as the Clippers as a team that I’m really not in love with now that most of their guys are back and healthy. Bradley Beal feels a bit overpriced but if you want to go here in MME’s I won’t talk you off of him. Kyle Kuzma has fallen off a bit and with guys like Rui Hachimura and Thomas Bryant he will likely lose some production and is another guy that feels overpriced. The same applies with Spencer Dinwiddie, just not a guy that I would be all that thrilled with here. Then when it comes to the frontcourt, I think it would just be these cheap guys in Hachimura and Bryant that I would like due to the price tags, and both have looked good in limited run.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Reggie Jackson, Ivica Zubac, Bradley Beal

Deeper Value: Rui Hachimura, Thomas Bryant

GPP Sleeper: Marcus Morris, Nicolas Batum, Eric Bledsoe, Amir Coffee, Kyle Kuzma, Spencer Dinwiddie, Rui Hachimura, Thomas Bryant

Charlotte Hornets @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Hornets, Gordon Hayward comes into this one as questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on him. He missed the last game which led to more minutes spread out between PJ Washington, Cody Martin, and Kelly Oubre. Of those three, I think Washington looks the best here relative to his upside and price tag, but I do like Oubre a bit more if Hayward were to miss again due to the potential minutes increase. LaMelo Ball would be more of a GPP guy for me due to the volatility he’s shown as of late and I don’t necessarily love the matchup with a slow Raptors team. Then guys like Terry Rozier and Miles Bridges are both fine secondary options as they’ve seen their price tags come up recently, but well warranted with their production. From the Raptors, the starting five is playing all the minutes they can handle right now… Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, and OG Anunoby are all playing around 40 minutes per game and in a great matchup, all look like solid options here. Scottie Barnes has looked better lately as well and would be a guy I would be good with at his current price tag. The minutes on Chris Boucher have come down since Gary Trent Jr. has come back in the rotation so he’s more of a fade for me. Lastly, speaking of Trent, he would be a solid GPP option at the price tag but can be more scoring-dependent than I normally love.

5-star play: Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam

4-star play: PJ Washington, LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Miles Bridges, OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Gordon Hayward, Cody Martin, Kelly Oubre, Gary Trent Jr.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Pelicans, we saw Brandon Ingram miss last night’s game and comes into this one as questionable with an ankle injury. Garrett Temple got the start for him and played 29 minutes but Nickeil Alexander-Walker was the guy to benefit as he saw 34 minutes on his way to 30 DraftKings points. If Ingram were to miss again here he would look like a nice option. Below is how this team operates with Ingram off of the court this season:

All of these guys would be in play again tonight if Ingram were to miss. We don’t see a ton of per-minute production, but the price tags are nice on a lot of these guys should Ingram miss again. From the Sixers, they’ll be without Seth Curry and Shake Milton again which will lead to more minutes for Furkan Korkmaz who bounced back nicely last time out and will look like a solid mid-range play with at least 37 minutes in back to back games. Joel Embiid is cooking right now with at least 65 DraftKings points in three straight games and a guy I have no issue going right back to in this spot. Tobias Harris has been in good form as well and looks like a nice secondary play here. Lastly, Tyrese Maxey is playing a ton of minutes and has a 25.4% usage rate and 0.92 fantasy points per minute with Curry and Milton off of the court this season.

***Assuming Brandon Ingram is OUT again***

5-star play: Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Jonas Valanciunas, Joel Embiid

4-star play: Josh Hart, Devonte’ Graham, Herbert Jones, Garrett Temple, Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, Furkan Korkmaz

Deeper Value: Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Garrett Temple

GPP Sleeper: Mattise Thybulle

I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!

Sacramento Kings @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Kings, we’ll need news on De’Aaron Fox here as he comes in as questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates. I’ll operate under the assumption that he’s a go here due to how late of a scratch he was on Saturday, but obviously news we’ll need. I do like the matchup and price tag a lot for him assuming he’s a full go, however, an ankle injury is scary on a guy like him, so more of a tournament option. Tyrese Haliburton had a big game last time out against the Bucks with Fox out, so if Fox were to miss it would be hard to like him at this price tag. He’s in play as it is with the minutes he’s playing right now. I was all over Richaun Holmes last time out and a guy I’ll go right back to here at this price tag. I thought he would see more minutes last game but he still got us there in 24 minutes. The Celtics aren’t a good rebounding team, so he’s a guy I’ll like quite a bit here, we’re used to him being closer to that $7k price range. I will say I like the price tag more on DraftKings than on FanDuel on him. Then the mid-range of this team would be more GPP-type guys than anything, but guys like Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield, and Marvin Bagley are all in play. From the Celtics, Jayson Tatum had a monster game last time out going for 51 real-life points and will be a guy we can go back to in an elite matchup with the Kings. He won’t shoot 9-14 from three-point range again, but the upside is certainly there. Jaylen Brown has been pretty consistently around the 40 fantasy point range as of late and we know he has massive upside as well in a great matchup. Robert Williams and Dennis Schroder are fine options as well, but I don’t know if we need them on a slate of this size. Lastly, Marcus Smart looks like a solid secondary option as well.

5-star play: Jayson Tatum, Richaun Holmes (DraftKings)

4-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Richaun Holmes (FanDuel), Harrison Barnes, Jaylen Brown

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley, Robert Williams, Dennis Schroder, Marcus Smart, Al Horford

Los Angeles Lakers @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Lakers, they will get Anthony Davis back here for the first time since mid-December. I would anticipate he’s on some sort of minutes limit, so not a guy that I’ll look to go right back to here, but he will take a hit on LeBron James’ and Russell Westbrook’s production along with the rest of this team. LeBron James has a 29.6% usage rate and 1.18 fantasy points per minute with Davis ON the court this season compared to a 32.7% usage rate and 1.51 fantasy points per minute with Davis OFF of the court this season. The minutes on Russell Westbrook have come up over the past two games and so has his production… that said, probably more of a GPP guy especially with Davis back in. Davis being back really takes away a lot of the shine on this team for me at their current price tags. From the Nets, they’ll be without Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as well with it being a home game, meaning we can pretty safely load up on James Harden. With Kyrie and Durant off of the court this season, Harden is looking at a 34.5% usage rate and 1.48 fantasy points per minute, and seems like a game that he’ll get up for against LeBron and company. Patty Mills will get a nice boost as well and looks like a nice mid-range option here. The same can be said for LaMarcus Aldridge who is coming off of a terrible game last time out but will need his size against Davis down low.

5-star play: James Harden

4-star play: LeBron James, Patty Mills, LaMarcus Aldridge

Deeper Value: Bruce Brown

GPP Sleeper: Malik Monk, Russell Westbrook, Day’Ron Sharpe, Bruce Brown, Kessler Edwards

San Antonio Spurs @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 235.5

Vegas Spread: Sas -3.5

Starting with the Spurs, this is a really intriguing spot for Dejounte Murray who has already dropped 73.5 DraftKings points on the Rockets once this season. I’ll have a good amount of interest in him here in a game with a 235 implied total. Jakob Poeltl looks like a nice option here as well and is playing big minutes, this Rockets frontcourt is not good defensively. Derrick White looks like a solid secondary option at his current price tag and a guy I’m good with in all formats. Keldon Johnson would be more of a GPP guy due to the volatility, but we know there’s upside somewhere with him. From Houston, Christian Wood has been in really good form as of late with at least 41 DraftKings points in five straight games and looks like a good option again here. The same can be said for Kevin Porter Jr. who has seemed to have found some consistency. Jae’Sean Tate had a big game against the Spurs earlier this season but hasn’t been in great form as of late, I would consider him more of a secondary GPP option. Then guys like Eric Gordon and Jalen Green would be GPP-only guys for me due to the scoring volatility that they come with.

5-star play: Dejounte Murray, Christian Wood

4-star play: Jakob Poeltl, Derrick White, Kevin Porter Jr.

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Keldon Johnson, Eric Gordon, Jalen Green, Jae’Sean Tate

Dallas Mavericks @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Mavs, Luka Doncic has been in great form as of late with at least 67 FanDuel points in three of his last four games and a guy I have no issue going right back to here in a nice matchup with the Warriors. Kristaps Porzingis hasn’t been as effective since coming off of the Covid list but has looked better over his last few games and should be able to do whatever he wants against this small Golden State frontcourt here. Jalen Brunson seems a bit outpriced with these two guys healthy, but I think you can still get to him on FanDuel where he’s closer to $5k than $6k. Then Tim Hardaway Jr. is volatile but has upside, I just never seem to get him right. From the Warriors, Klay Thompson will come into this one as questionable so you’ll want to keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding his status. If he were to sit we would likely see Jordan Poole back in the starting lineup and would look like a solid mid-range GPP option. Steph Curry has been hard for me to justify paying up for as of late when there are other high-priced guys on the slate. He’s just a bit more volatile than I want in a guy that I’m paying this much for. That said, he’s got just as much upside as anyone on the slate, so still in play for GPPs. Then guys like Andrew Wiggins, Otto Porter Jr., and Kevon Looney are fine GPP options as well to round out the Warriors.

5-star play: Luka Doncic

4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis, Jalen Brunson (FanDuel), Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Tim Hardaway Jr., Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, Otto Porter Jr., Kevon Looney

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns has a really nice price tag here but has kind of been stuck in the 40 point range as of late with a lot of this team returning over the last couple of weeks. That said, I do like the matchup and think he makes sense in all formats. Patrick Beverley comes in as questionable, however, if he plays he looks like a great option at this price tag on DraftKings. It’s correct on FanDuel, but at $4.3k he would be tough to pass up on DraftKings. Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell are priced similarly and look like solid secondary options in a nice matchup with the Blazers. You can make a case for Jarred Vanderbilt here as well if you’re looking for more exposure from the Wolves. From the Blazers, I love the spot for Jusuf Nurkic even at his elevated price tag. He’s been in great form as of late and this Wolves team can’t stop anyone down low. CJ McCollum has been in great form as of late as well and has a 30.1% usage rate and 1.05 fantasy points per minute with Damian Lillard off of the court this season. Anfernee Simons will continue to look like a nice mid-range option as well in a nice matchup. They should get Norman Powell back in this spot which will hurt Simons, but we may see him on a minutes limit with being out for about two and a half weeks now. Then guys like Nassir Little and Robert Covington are fine GPP plays on the wing as well.

5-star play: Jusuf Nurkic, CJ McCollum, Patrick Beverley (DraftKings if he starts)

4-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell, Anfernee Simons

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jarred Vanderbilt, Norman Powell, Nassir Little, Robert Covington

NBA Lock of the Day: Richaun Holmes (DK – $4.6k; FD – $5.9k)

I like the price tag for Holmes a bit more on DraftKings, but think you can get to him on both sites here. He played back to back games with at least 24 minutes and wouldn’t shock me for him to be up around the 30-minute range in this game. He’s coming off a really nice game gets a bad rebounding team in the Celtics here. We’re used to seeing him closer to the $7k range and has around 1.03 fantasy points per minute on the season and is a guy I like a ton here. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
