Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

We’ll get this slate started with the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns has been sort of stuck in that mid-40’s range in terms of fantasy output as of late. He does get a nice matchup here that I like going back to him in but will see a boost if Anthony Edwards ends up sitting out. Edwards comes into this one as questionable and has a 27.7% usage rate on the season that would open up if he were to miss. Keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding his status. I think you can get to Towns regardless here, however. Then we get to D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards who are producing extremely well right now which is why we’re not seeing those massive games from Towns. Russell has at least 52 DraftKings points in back-to-back games while Edwards has at least 43 in three of his last four. Another guy that has really emerged as of late is Jarred Vanderbilt, he has at least 28 DraftKings points in five of his last six and gets a good matchup here. He comes into this one as questionable as well, so we’ll need some news on him too. Lastly, Patrick Beverley has already been ruled out for a few games, so we will have a bunch of minutes open up in the backcourt. Malik Beasley figures to see the increase in minutes and bounced back nicely last game in 29 minutes of action. From the Wizards,  Bradley Beal is kind of in the same boat as Towns where we’re not seeing those big 50-60 point fantasy outings like we’re used to seeing. That being said, this is an elite matchup and one that I have no issue with going right back to him. Spencer Dinwiddie has been better over his last handful of games and feels more appropriately priced now that it’s adjusted to Beal being back in the lineup, he’s a solid option here as well. Montrezl Harrell is another guy that seems pretty fairly priced to the point where I don’t know that the GPP upside is there with a healthy-ish frontcourt. Then the only other viable options for me on this team are Kyle Kuzma and Daniel Gafford as secondary GPP options. Gafford is intriguing to me, I’ve been targeting big men against the Wolves frontcourt all season long and he has at least 31 DraftKings points in three straight games.

5-star play: D’Angelo Russell, Bradley Beal

4-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, Kyle Kuzma, Daniel Gafford

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, Montrezl Harrell, Spencer Dinwiddie

Atlanta Hawks @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting this one with the Hawks, Bogdan Bogdanovic will be out for this one and Cam Reddish comes in as questionable. With Bogdanovic out it at least opens up around 25ish minutes not to mention the additional minutes that would open up if Reddish were to miss. We’ll likely see an increase in minutes for guys like Lou Williams and Danilo Gallinari while Kevin Huerter’s role becomes even more locked in, he may even slide over and take that Bogdanovic role as a whole. I think Williams and Gallinari make sense as GPP value options and would become cash viable if Reddish ends up sitting as well in a good matchup. This is a great matchup for Trae Young as the Pacers haven’t been able to stop guards all season and he comes in in good form as well. Good things come when you give Clint Capela minutes… he has at least 52 FanDuel points in three straight games and a guy I have no issue going right back to here. John Collins is probably more of a GPP guy, but he’s been consistent as of late as well. From the Pacers, Domantas Sabonis was my lock of the day last time out against the Wolves and that went pretty well for us. I think you can go back to him here as well, but his price has certainly come up from where we saw it last game. Malcolm Brogdon had a big game last time out as well and is playing massive minutes. I like targeting Trae Young on defense as well, so I like going back to him here as well. Myles Turner ended up missing the last game and comes into this one as questionable. Keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on him, but if he plays he feels a bit too cheap here. Caris LeVert was a guy I landed on quite a bit last time out as well due to the price tag and he had a pretty awful night shooting the ball. His price hasn’t really moved and the minutes are up on him, so I like going back to him here again. Then you can round the Pacers out with TJ McConnell, and Chris Duarte, but I have a hard time imagining you fall on any of those three on this slate.

5-star play: Trae Young, Malcolm Brogdon, Caris LeVert

4-star play: Clint Capela, John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner

Deeper Value: Lou Williams, Danilo Gallinari

GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Danilo Gallinari, John Collins, TJ McConnell, Chris Duarte

Denver Nuggets @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic returned last game to play 33 minutes on his way to 56.75 DraftKings points. It wasn’t the best game for him but also wasn’t the worst considering he was coming back from an injury. He should be able to do whatever he wants in this spot against the Magic’s frontcourt, I like going right back to him here. Will Barton and Aaron Gordon will lose a little production with Jokic back but are still fine GPP options with the absence of Michael Porter Jr., Gordon has at least 32 DraftKings points in four of his last five games. Then you can round this team out with Monte Morris, he’s not really a sexy option by any means but he’ll run the backcourt for the most part in a nice matchup. From the Magic, they get Cole Anthony back right in time as Jalen Suggs fractured his hand last time out. We’ll want to make sure Anthony isn’t limited at all but if he’s not I like going back to him in GPPs considering the form he was in before he got injured. Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr., get really tough matchups here against Jokic down low. Bamba is coming off a nice game last time out, but I’ll consider these two GPP guys strictly due to the matchup. Franz Wagner continues to produce… remember when this guy was under $4k a few games ago? Since then he has at least 28 DraftKings points in each game and is a solid mid-range option again here. We’ll see guys like Gary Harris, RJ Hampton, and Terrence Ross take over the Suggs minutes, but the obvious option for DFS is Harris at the moment, Hampton and Ross have been too volatile.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic

4-star play: Will Barton, Aaron Gordon, Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter Jr., Mo Bamba, Franz Wagner

Deeper Value: Gary Harris

GPP Sleeper: Monte Morris, Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter Jr., Franz Wagner, Gary Harris

Philadelphia 76ers @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: 210.5

Vegas Spread: Bos -2.5

Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid followed up his massive game against the Wolves with a pretty average game for him against the Magic with 44.25 DraftKings points. I like going back to him here against a bad rebounding team in Boston. Tobias Harris is more of a secondary option for me at this price tag, he’s priced as if 40 fantasy points is around his median outcome, and that’s not the case when Embiid is back. He will lose some production with Embiid back in the lineup. Tyrese Maxey has been the model of consistency as of late going for at least 31 DraftKings points in six straight games and nine of his last ten. Then you can round this Sixers team out with Seth Curry as a tournament option. From Boston, tell me if you’ve heard this before, but Jaylen Brown comes in as questionable. He played the last game, so I’m operating under the assumption that he’s a go here, but keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding his status. He’s more of a fade than anything right now considering he’s not getting his full minutes. Jayson Tatum has been fine as of late but feels overpriced especially with Brown and Robert Williams back in the lineup. Speaking of Robert Williams, he returned last game to play 23 minutes which isn’t his usual, but I would think that gets ramped up over his next game or two. He’s generally a point-per-minute monster, but this is a tough matchup with Embiid down low. The same can be said for Al Horford who had a nice bounce-back game last time out against Toronto and has a pretty fair price tag in this one. Then lastly, Marcus Smart and Dennis Schroder are both solid secondary options, Smart has really turned it up a notch from where he was at the beginning of the season.

5-star play: Joel Embiid

4-star play: Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Seth Curry, Jaylen Brown, Robert Williams, Marcus Smart, Dennis Schroder

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 204.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -7.5

Starting with the Cavs, Evan Mobley was a guy I was pretty high on last time out before a bunch of other plays opened up due to injury, but he looked okay in 35 minutes of work. This is a tough matchup for the Cavs team as a whole but I have no issue with him again here at a nice price tag. The same can be said for Jarrett Allen who dropped a 50 burger on the Mavericks, he’s more of a GPP guy here as well but has been in excellent form as of late. Darius Garland has been in much better shape as of late and will continue to run this backcourt, the price tag isn’t terrible, but again I don’t love the matchup one bit. Ricky Rubio is a solid pivot from him at a cheaper price tag as well, but probably more of a cash game guy. Mobley being back will hurt the minutes for Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Love, but I expect they take priority over Cedi Osman, as Markkanen was playing big minutes when Mobley was active earlier in the season, so I’m not all that concerned with his minutes. Markkanen continues to produce and play 30+ minutes per game so I’m not worrying about Mobley one bit. From Miami, we’re going to need news on this team before we can break them down here as Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo both come in as questionable. They were the team that opened up all the value last slate, so I’ll leave it up to our Breaking News team to break this one down for us once we get the news we need from Miami.

5-star play: Miami TBD

4-star play: Miami TBD, Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen

Deeper Value: Miami TBD

GPP Sleeper: Miami TBD, Ricky Rubio, Lauri Markkanen

Charlotte Hornets @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: 229.5

Vegas Spread: Mil -8.0

Starting with Hornets, LaMelo Ball has been a guy I’ve been wanting exposure to on FanDuel over DraftKings due to the price difference, and I think it’s something I’ll do again here as he comes off a big game last time out. He has at least 52 FanDuel points in back-to-back games and gets a fast-paced Milwaukee team here. Miles Bridges hasn’t been in the greatest form relative to his price tag and gets a difficult matchup against these Milwaukee wing defenders there, I’ll probably be underweight on him as it seems like he’s regressing a bit as the season goes on. Gordon Hayward has been in more consistent form relative to his price tag with at least 30 DraftKings points in five of his last six games, I wouldn’t have an issue if you got some exposure to him here. Terry Rozier is notorious for being a Bucks killer going all the way back to his Boston days, he’s been in great shape as of late and shooting really well from three-point range, he’s a solid tournament option again here. PJ Washington will continue to see a good chunk of minutes at the five and minutes overall. He’s clearly been lifted from any sort of minutes limit and with Mason Plumlee out again here I like going right back to the well at this price tag. Lastly, you can make a case for Kelly Oubre for GPPs, he has at least 29 DraftKings points in four straight games… the Cody Martin injury locks in his minutes a bit more. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo should do whatever he wants in this spot. We’ve seen big men beat up on this Charlotte frontcourt all season and now without Plumlee, they get even smaller. I have no issue playing Khris Middleton or Jrue Holiday in cash games, although their ceilings are lowered a bit with Giannis on the court. That said, Jrue dropped 47 DraftKings points last time out while going 1-7 from three-point range which is pretty impressive. The price has come down a little on Bobby Portis and is a guy I’ll like here as he should be able to take advantage of this Charlotte frontcourt as well. Then you can round this team out with Pat Connaughton and Grayson Allen as GPP dart throws.

5-star play: LaMelo Ball (FanDuel), Giannis Antetokounmpo

4-star play: Gordon Hayward, Terry Rozier, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Bobby Portis

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Miles Bridges, PJ Washington, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton, Grayson Allen

I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!

Houston Rockets @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 213.5

Vegas Spread: Okc -3.5

Doesn’t it feel like these two teams have played every other day this season? I’ll start with the Rockets where I’ll go right back to the well on both Christian Wood and Kevin Porter Jr. Wood was my direct pivot off of Bam last game and now has at least 60 DraftKings points in back to back games not to mention he’s now averaging 50.8 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Thunder this season, they have no answer for him. The price did come up on him, but for good reason. Kevin Porter Jr. has looked great as well with at least 49 DraftKings points in back-to-back games, both of these guys seem to be playing much better with Jalen Green off the court, and I’ll have no issue going back to both of them here. Jae’Sean Tate looked good in that game as well and will continue to play big minutes, he’s a solid mid-range option. Then you can round this team out with Eric Gordon, he’s a guy I had some tournament interest in last time out and he struggled a bit but with Green out again he’ll need to play increased minutes. From the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 35 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Rockets this season and feels like a solid tournament option here. Josh Giddey was a popular option last time out but wasn’t all that impressive as his shooting has started to cool down, he’s a fine option again here with that said. Lu Dort came down to Earth last time out as well, he’s too volatile to play in cash games, but is a fine GPP option. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl has cooled down as well, with Derrick Favors out again here I would think his minutes are pretty locked in, but he just needs to be more productive. Then you can round this team out with Darius Bazley in tournaments.

5-star play: Christian Wood, Kevin Porter Jr.

4-star play: Jae’Sean Tate, Eric Gordon, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey

Deeper Value: Jeremiah Robinson-Earl

GPP Sleeper: Lu Dort, Darus Bazley

Dallas Mavericks @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: 214.0

Vegas Spread: Dal -3.5

Starting with the Mavericks, Luka Doncic has been fine as of late with at least 54 DraftKings points in six straight games. However, with the price tag he has, I’d like to see him more consistently over that 60 point marker. That said, he’s still a great play here if the value on this slate opens up to a point where we can comfortably afford him in a great matchup with the Pelicans. He gets an even further boost if Kristaps Porzingis ends up sitting. Kristaps comes in as questionable, so we’ll keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on that ankle injury. Jalen Brunson returned last game and did next to nothing in 22 minutes of play, I’ll need to see it from him again before I feel confident going back to him. That being said if Porzingis misses it may challenge that theory. Then you can round this team out with Maxi Kleber and Tim Hardaway Jr. as GPP options, Kleber would see a boost if Porzingis were to miss as well. From the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has seen his price drop to under $8k on both sites, but just isn’t producing consistently enough for me to have a whole lot of interest in him. He’s a fine GPP option, but I think we can find better options on this slate. Jonas Valanciunas bounced back in a big way last time out going for 70 DraftKings points against the Clippers. I love targeting big men against this Dallas team as well, so I have no issue going right back to him here in hopes his minutes stay over 30 again. Devonte’ Graham didn’t do a whole lot again last time out but the good news with him is the minutes got to the 30 mark, I like going back to him in tournaments here as a cheap guard option. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a fine tournament play given his upside, but not someone I would touch in cash games. I’ll have some interest in Josh Hart as well, but his volatility will keep him as strictly a tournament guy coming off a big game last time out.

5-star play: Luka Doncic

4-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Brandon Ingram, Devonte’ Graham

Deeper Value: Maxi Kleber

GPP Sleeper: Kristaps Porzingis, Maxi Kleber, Tim Hardaway Jr., Devonte’ Graham, Josh Hart, Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Sacramento Kings @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 215.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -7.5

Starting with the Kings, they’ll be without Harrison Barnes and Marvin Bagley again here which will open up minutes for guys like Chimezie Metu and lock in the Richaun Holmes role. Metu had a big game last night and a guy I have no issue going right back to here as a nice value option. I’m just going to make De’Aaron Fox prove it to me before I feel great going back to him, he’s a strictly GPP only guy right now. I do like Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton for GPPs as well, they’ve shown some nice flashes as of late and should be pretty locked into their minutes right now. Then lastly, I did mention Holmes, I like targeting this Clippers team with big men, so he’s a guy I like a lot at this price tag. From the Clippers, Paul George has cooled down a bit as of late but his price tag has come down as well, this is an elite matchup for him, so go right back to him with confidence here. Reggie Jackson bounced back nicely last game and you’re going to hear the same story on all these Clippers guys, it’s about as good of a matchup as you can get, so no issue going back to the well on Reggie. Ivica Zubac had a rough go of it last time out and is more of a GPP guy if you need a mid-range center option, but I would just find the money and go get Holmes on the other side of this one. Then you can round this team out with GPP guys like Eric Bledsoe, Luke Kennard, and Marcus Morris. Morris would be my favorite option due to the minutes he’ll play and the price tag on him.

5-star play: Richaun Holmes, Chimezie Metu Paul George

4-star play: Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton, Reggie Jackson

Deeper Value: Chimezie Metu

GPP Sleeper: Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton, Reggie Jackson, Ivica Zubac, Eric Bledsoe, Luke Kennard, Marcus Morris

NBA Lock of the Day: Chimezie Metu (DK – $3.8k; FD – $4.4k)

I just touched on Metu and the Kings in the final game breakdown, but he’s a guy I’m going to get a bunch of tonight. With Harrison Barnes and Marvin Bagley both out again it solidifies his role on this team. He played 36 minutes last night on his way to 35.25 DraftKings points and is a fantasy point-per-minute guy with Barnes and Bagley off the court this season. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
