11/4 NBA DFS Full Court Press

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka @Mutt18 on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. We also have NEW pricing options, where you can sign up for WEEKLY access as opposed to be committed for a full month, so you have no excuse to try us out! With that said, let’s get it started!

Philadelphia 76ers @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Joel Embiid is coming off a disappointing game here, especially considering before hand he was averaging over 2 FPPM with Tobias Harris off teh court. However, I can see them sitting him tonight on the 2nd half of a B2B, and with Tobias Harris still out due to Covid protocols the usage on this team will be all over the place. But if Embiid plays, obviously this is a smash spot for him. Tyrese Maxey and Seth Curry as well as both have been playing north of 35 minutes and Curry has really stepped up with Tobias Harris out, he’s my preferred option of the two. Andre Drummond would be the main beneficiary if Embiid were to rest here with Georges Niang being the 2nd biggest beneficiary, either way he’s been playing well off the bench. Furkan Korkmaz has also been starting in Harris’ place, and he is reasonably priced on both sites as well.

Now for the Pistons, they’re pretty much just as terrible as they were last year, but Cade Cunningham is back here tonight, and he had no minutes restriction last game. He also shot terribly which killed his upside, but I doubt that happens again, at 4K on DK he’ll likely be core for us coaches again tonight. Jerami Grant led the team with a 29% usage rate last season and will likely continue that, as he still thrived last game even with Cunningham back. Isaiah Stewart hasn’t been getting the PT I’ve expected this season, as the Pistons seem intent on playing Kelly Olynyk over him even though you’d think they’d want to develop a talented young big, GPP only for both him and Olynyk due to this atrocity. Saddiq Bey but he is a guy who is streaky, if he is shooting well from 3 he can light it up at low ownership but his price is less than desirable on both sites.

5-star play: Joel Embiid (if in)

4-star play: Jerami Grant, Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry

Deeper Value: Cade Cunningham, Isaiah Stewart, Kelly Olynyk, Saddiq Bey

GPP Sleeper: Georges Niang, Furkan Korkmaz

Utah Jazz @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Jazz, Mike Conley appears to be back and healthy as he is not on the injury report, but if he were to miss then I would have a ton of interest in both Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles to soak up more production, but he was back last game so we can assume that he is good to go in this one. Donovan Mitchell had a ceiling game last time out, and could again here as the Hawks should keep this competitive and pick up the pace on their home floor. Rudy Gobert is another guy who has been really solid this year, he’s probably my favorite Jazz player tonight if you want exposure to this game as the Hawks are a bit undersized in their frontcourt with Collins and Capela. Then you can round this team out with GPP guys like Bojan Bogdanovic and Royce O’Neale who are both solid role guys who play good minutes but aren’t high usage.

Now for the Hawks, Trae Young has looked elite so far this year, he got off to a torrid start last night and then kind of fizzled out, but he gets another great matchup here as he is matchup proof at this point in his career. Bogdan Bogdanovic has also been solid to start the year, and the price has come down a bit on FanDuel which is nice. John Collins is also a really nice mid-range play, but his upside is gonna be a bit limited as long as Clint Capela is healthy, but he has looked fantastic so far this year, he was a GTD last night though so keep an eye on that as it is the 2nd half of a B2B. De’Andre Hunter returned the last few games as well, he’s a solid value as he was a beast when healthy last year. Him being back does hurt both Cam Reddish and Kevin Huerter but I’d be ok taking a few shots on them in GPPs.

5-star play: Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: John Collins, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley, Clint Capela

Deeper Value: Bogdan Bogadanovic, De’Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish

GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson, Kevin Huerter, Bojan Bogdanovic

Boston Celtics @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 215

Vegas Spread: Mia -8

From the Celtics, Jaylen Brown has been very up and down this year but I like his price on FanDuel compared to Tatum’s as he has a similar ceiling for a cheaper price If you’re going to get exposure to him, I would avoid it on FanDuel. Jayson Tatum really needs to turn it on here if the C’s are going to get going, he needs to be more aggressive offensively and given the matchup tonight I’ll likely fade him. I’ll continue to get to Robert Williams just because he’s a point-per-minute monster and this is a great matchup for him and all big men alike. You can throw Al Horford into that category as he has been a monster on the glass and they make a nice frontcourt duo. He has looked fantastic in games he’s played this year. Then you can round this team out with secondary GPP options in Marcus Smart and Dennis Schroeder.

From the Heat, Jimmy Butler has been on a tear and gets another good matchup in this one, as the Celtics have been a train wreck defensively so far this year and he contributes in so many categories so you don’t have to rely on scoring there. Tyler Herro is gonna be in limbo again it looks like this year, because if Lowry is in then he’s going to really limit his ceiling, although we saw both of them have a good game last time out. This leads me to Kyle Lowry, he’s more of a floor manager on this team, but he showed last game he can be aggressive when he needs to be, I like him a lot at that price on FanDuel tonight as he should be more aggressive offensively here. Bam Adebayo is a GTD again here as well, but he did play last game so it is something to monitor. If he were to miss then I’d be all over Dewayne Dedmon an elite value option.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler

4-star play: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Tyler Herro, Kyle Lowry, Robert Williams, Al Horford, Bam Adebayo

Deeper Value: Marcus Smart, Dennis Schroeder

GPP Sleeper: Dewayne Dedmon

Houston Rockets @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Rockets, Kevin Porter Jr. has been very up and down to start the year, but that is to be expected from a young guard, he draws a tougher matchup here but it is one he could take advantage of. Christian Wood is a premier play as well here, especially if Ayton is out again, he is a bit pricey and that doesn’t come without risk of a floor, but on a short-slate, he’s firmly in play. Jalen Green is a guy I’ve been high on all season and has been a bit volatile, so probably more of a GPP guy, but in play nonetheless as he seems like a gamer who wants to show up when he is playing against other NBA stars like CP3 and Devin Booker. That really concludes my interest in the Rockets. Maybe some Alpherun Sengun if you think this games gets ugly as he’ll get some blowout run.

From the Suns, they’re generally not a team that is fantasy friendly, and tonight should be the case again as I won’t be heavy on them at all. Devin Booker will be a GPP guy for me, as he hasn’t really had any ceiling games yet, but that will likely be the case as long as CP3 is healthy and taking all those assists he used to have. Chris Paul has had a few games over 50 FPs this season and he is my preferred option of the two. DeAndre Ayton has been all over the place from a fantasy perspective as well, but he gets a good matchup here against this undersized Rockets front court. However, if he misses again we likely see Javale McGee start again, but the real guy I’ll want is Frank Kaminsky as he took over and started the 2nd half of that game. Then you can round this team out with GPP darts in guys like Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder if you really want to get frisky, of the two I would really only play Bridges as he has way more upside.

5-star play: Chris Paul, Christian Wood

4-star play: Devin Booker, DeAndre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, Kevin Porter

Deeper Value: Mikal Bridges, Jalen green

GPP Sleeper: Alpherun Sengun

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: 217.5

Vegas Spread: Lal -13

From the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s price has been all over the place but he is pretty cheap here, but the matchup is fantastic as the Lakers are allowing the most FPPM to opposing PGs so far this year. He’s a great play on both sites at this price tag with a great individual matchup. Darius Bazley has been up and down, but he’s been productive when given the minutes, but Giddey has been zapping some of his usage. Josh Giddey continues to get it done in all areas, and he’s an exciting rookie to watch that stuffs the sheet almost like a young Jimmy Butler. The last guy I would have any sort of real interest in on a big slate is Lu Dort, he’s a GPP only guy due to his volatility as well, but we know he has a ceiling but it comes out once in a blue moon.

From the Lakers, LeBron James has been questionable for about the past week, but he played in their last 2 games so I have a feeling that he will play in this one as well… however, if he were to sit, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis would be the obvious beneficiaries. Westbrook probably isn’t a guy I’ll have much interest in if LeBron plays just because they haven’t shown the ability that they can each go off in a given game, and LeBron really is the main usage guy in this offense. When you play Westbrook you want that 80 point fantasy ceiling, when LeBron is in there, its just not possible for him to attain and he isn’t cheap on either site. LeBron being out would also open up some value in Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk, but again, we’ll keep the VIP Members updated on that in our Discord chat and Breaking News Channel.

5-star play: LeBron James

4-star play: Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey

Deeper Value: Malik Monk, Carmelo Anthony, Darius Bazley

GPP Sleeper: Lu Dort, Josh Giddey
