Dallas Mavericks @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 214

Vegas Spread: Lac -2.5

Starting with the Mavericks, they are kind of in disarray right now, as Luka Doncic has missed the last few games with a knee injury, but he is a GTD this afternoon as this is the 3:30 game.  Kristaps Porzingis would obviously be the main beneficiary if he were to miss, but I hate his price right now. Dorian Finney-Smith could do well in a game environment like this, moreso on FanDuel where peripheral stats are worth more, but the biggest piece I want here is Jalen Brunson if Luka is out, as he’s really taken a big step forward this year offensively. Tim Hardaway is in play for GPPs as well but he is very scoring dependent, so your options are pretty slim on this Mavericks team from a fantasy perspective whether or not Luka is in or out here.

Now for the Clippers, Paul George has elite usage with Kawhi out, and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down in the scoring department, he’s a premier option for your Captain today. Ivica Zubac‘s minutes have been trending in the wrong direction, so he’ll likely be a fade for me here, but I do have some interest in Isaiah Hartenstein as it looks like he has leapfrogged him in the minutes department, but he is not consistent as it really is a game to game dart throw as to who is going to get more minutes. Terance Mann is a solid option off the bench, as the ceiling is sky high but the consistency is just really bad. Nic Batum and Luke Kennard are also some decent GPPs plays here, with my preference being on Batum. Eric Bledsoe and Reggie Jackson are basically a coin flip at this point as well as to who is going to have the better game, but I don’t have a ton of interest in either tonight, but Bledsoe has the higher upside of the two.

5-star play: Luka Doncic (if in), Paul George

4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis, Jalen Brunson, Nic Batum, Eric Bledsoe, Reggie Jackson

Deeper Value: Terance Mann, Tim Hardaway, Dorian Finney-Smith

GPP Sleeper: Terance Mann

Los Angeles Lakers @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 211

Vegas Spread: Lal -7.5

From the Lakers, LeBron James returned the other night, but he is a GTD again here so keep an eye on news. Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis would be the biggest beneficiaries if he were to miss again tonight, but AD is a GTD as well, but he always is and usually plays, still something to monitor. This game should be a bit ugly, but I’d want to target more if LeBron is out. Talen Horton-Tucker has hung onto his starting job even with LeBron back as well, his ceiling is limited if he is in, but he’ll likely be a core play for me if LeBron were to miss. You can round out your Lakers deeper GPP options with Rajon Rondo and Malik Monk coming off the bench as well.

Now for the Pistons, they’re looking a bit better as the year goes on, but they are still pretty bad. However, playing at home should help them out in this game. Cade Cunningham is starting to show why he was the #1 overall pick, the price is starting to come up but for good reason as the production has been fantastic over the last 5 games and he’s still a bit too cheap. Jerami Grant is also a big factor on this team, and always goes under owned, could be a GPP winner here as well, I always love playing him in that 7K range in GPPs. Isaiah Stewart has been playing much better with Olynyk out, but he is a GTD tonight here as well, if he were to miss then I’d have a few shares of Trey Lyles as they’ll be extremely thin in their front court. Saddiq Bey is also in play but he is a streaky shooter, I don’t love his price but there is some upside there but it comes with the risk of a low floor if his shot isn’t falling.

5-star play: LeBron James

4-star play: Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Cade Cunningham, Jerami Grant, Isaiah Stewart (if in). Talen Horton-Tucker

Deeper Value: Saddiq Bey, Rajon Rondo, Malik Monk

GPP Sleeper: Trey Lyles (if Stewart is out)

New York Knicks @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 209.5

Vegas Spread: Chi -5

This game looks like it’ll be a snooze fest, as both of these teams play very slow, but on a small slate you’re likely going to have to grab a guy or two from here. For the Knicks, they look very legit so far this year, led by their All-Star Julius Randle. He is a premier play here today, and he gets a great matchup here going up against a decimated Bulls frontcourt that has been without their anchor in Vucevic for almost 2 weeks now, I’m expecting a big game out of him here tonight and he’s my main target here. Evan Fournier has also been a great addition and R.J. Barrett has been great as well, I prefer R.J. here as he is less scoring dependent and has more of a chance for a ceiling game. Mitchell Robinson is a GTD here, if he were to miss then I’d have some interest in Nerlens Noel as he would start and play 25+ minutes. If you’re looking for guys coming off the bench, Derrick Rose is one of the best in the business, and Obi Toppin would also get a boost here if Robinson misses this game.

Now for the Bulls, their leader has become Zach LaVine as he has been a model of consistency so far this year, but he gets a tougher matchup here as the Knicks are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. DeMar Derozan has also started to take over offensively as his usage is up big time from the past 2 weeks, he’s a great play that should be low owned tonight. Nikola Vucevic is a GTD here, if he is able to play I wouldn’t want him though as he likely won’t see full run in this one. However, if he does play it would kill any value in Tony Bradley or Alize Johnson, both would be fades if he suits up. Those are the main guys you’ll want here, but Alex Caruso is also in play here in a good matchup coming off the bench and he’s been trending in the right direction as well.

5-star play: Julius Randle, DeMar Derozan

4-star play: Zack LaVine, RJ Barrett, Evan Fournier, Derrick Rose

Deeper Value: Tony Bradley, Alex Caruso, Obi Toppin, Nerlens Noel

GPP Sleeper: Nerlens Noel

Denver Nuggets @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 209.5

Vegas Spread: Phx -8.5

For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic is gonna be a GTD here tonight, I believe that he’ll play here but he did miss last game so it is something to monitor. Will Barton has also been very good so far this year and even gets additional minutes running the point with the 2nd unit, he would be an elite play if Jokic were to miss this game. Michael Porter Jr. will be out for an extended period of time, which boosts Barton even more in this spot as well if he does play.  Monte Morris and Aaron Gordon would also be in play if Jokic misses, especially Gordon as he went for 50+ with him out last game. Lastly, Bones Hyland has also been playing very well off the bench, he is dealing with an injury as well though, if he were to miss it would be a nice boost to PJ Dozier who is already a decent value coming off the bench. If Jokic were to miss this game it would also make JaMychal Green and Jeff Green viable for value as well.

From the Suns, they’re generally not a team that is fantasy friendly, and tonight should be the case again as I won’t be heavy on them at all. especially if Jokic is out here. Devin Booker will be a GPP guy for me, as he hasn’t really has only had 1-2 ceiling games so far, but that will likely be the case as long as CP3 is healthy and taking all those assists he used to get. Chris Paul has had a few games over 50 FPs this season and he is my preferred option of the two and he draws the better matchup against Morris. DeAndre Ayton is back as well here, he is viable here especially if Jokic is in, as he’ll need to bang with him downlow all game. With Frank Kaminsky out it also makes Javale McGee viable coming off the bench as well. Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder if you really want to get frisky, of the two I would really only play Bridges as he has way more upside. If Jokic doesn’t play then I’ll have some interest in the Suns value guys, specifically Cameron Payne and Cameron Johnson.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Chris Paul

4-star play: Devin Booker, Aaron Gordon, Will Barton, DeAndre Ayton

Deeper Value: Cameron Payne, PJ Dozier, JaMychal Green, Cameron Johnson

GPP Sleeper: Cameron Payne

Toronto Raptors @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: 216.5

Vegas Spread: Gsw -9.5

From the Raptors, Scottie Barnes has been doing a little of it all for the Raptors, and he would see a nice boost if OG Anunoby is out again here tonight, he is a GTD so it is something to monitor. Pascal Siakam has also been playing well, and this matchup sets up nice for him as the Warriors will run small here which helps him out, I can see him playing 40+ minutes in this one. Fred VanVleet has been really good so far this year, and they’re gonna need him to continue to lead this offense here, him and Siakam will be my main targets here tonight as this will be my favorite game on the slate. Lastly, Precious Achiuwa is a GTD here again, if he were to miss then Khem Birch would likely start, but the matchup does not favor him here as the Warriors will play small. Chris Boucher is also in play for value, but the matchup isn’t in his favor either, he needs one of Achiuwa or Birch out to be viable.

Now for the Warriors, Stephen Curry should be back here after a one game absence, he is a premier play on this slate and will likely be a core play from me today as the Raptors are not good against opposing PGs. Jordan Poole has also stepped up big time here, but he is scoring dependent so he’s gonna be a GPP only play for me moving forward especially with Klay coming back soon. Kevon Looney has seen an increase in minutes but he might be a matchup based fade here as the Raptors may be shorthanded in their front court as well which would cause them to go small too. Draymond Green has also been playing very well, and he’s been fantastic especially at his price on FanDuel and the Warriors could go small here. For value plays, Nemanja Bjelica is gonna be the main target here, as Payton and Porter are both GTDs here tonight as well.

5-star play: Stephen Curry, Pascal Siakam

4-star play: Fred VanVleet, Jordan Poole, Draymond Green, Scottie Barnes

Deeper Value: Nemanja Bjelica, Chris Boucher

GPP Sleeper: Nemanja Bjelica
