Miami Heat @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

From the Heat, Jimmy Butler missed last game and is definitely in jeopardy of missing tonight as well, this is the early game though so we don’t have to worry about news unless you are playing the showdown. If Jimmy is out, Tyler Herro is gonna be the main beneficiary here, and we saw how that turned out the other night as he played a ton of minutes. This leads me to Kyle Lowry, he’s been much more aggressive offensively the past week or so, and if Jimmy misses he is still too cheap on both sites for the production we’ve been getting. Bam Adebayo has been solid as well, and Gobert gives up more FPs to opposing bigs than people realize here, but he is a GTD as well so that is something to monitor here. I also really like Dewayne Dedmon here for value as he is a FPPM monster and if Bam gets into foul trouble he could win you a GPP.

Now for the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell has been on a tear over the past few games, even with the Jazz at full strength, and this is a solid spot for him again here tonight, especially if Jimmy B were to miss this game as well. Mike Conley has been his usual solid self, but he’s not someone I’m going out of my way to roster in this spot. Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles are both solid GPP fliers here as well going up against Miami’s 2nd unit. Rudy Gobert is another guy who has been really solid this year, he gets a tougher matchup here going up against Bam but he is rock solid either way. Then you can round this team out with GPP guys like Bojan Bogdanovic and Royce O’Neale who are both solid role guys who play good minutes but aren’t high usage, however O’Neale has seen an increase in usage over the past few games.

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Tyler Herro, Kyle Lowry, Bam Adebayo, Mike Conley

Deeper Value: Bojan Bogdanovic, Royce O’Neale, Dewayne Dedmon

GPP Sleeper: Dewayne Dedmon

Philadelphia 76ers @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Joel Embiid will be out again here, so that means you can fire up Andre Drummond once again, even at his increased price, I like him in GPPs tonight as people will be off him due to that down game last time out.  Tyrese Maxey and Seth Curry as well as both have been playing north of 35 minutes and Maxey has been on a tear over the past few games as well, really like him tonight. Tobias Harris is also back here, and he should be a full go tonight as Doc said he wouldn’t play his usual minutes and then went out and played him for 37 last game, so I’m not listening to that man at all anymore. Georges Niang has really stepped it up off the bench as well but with Harris back it limits his upside. Furkan Korkmaz and Shake Milton have also been decent, but Harris being back really kills a lot of their upside as well, but you can still take a flier on them in GPPs.

For the Pacers, Domantas Sabonis has looked great to so far this season, but it looks like his fantasy usage will depend on whether or not Caris LeVert is healthy, he’s been dominant the past 2 games with him out, so if he is out again tonight I want a good amount of him. Malcolm Brogdon is back here and would also benefit from LeVert being out, so that is gonna be the big news we’re waiting on here tonight. The Myles Turner experience is still in full effect as he could either go for 50+ or drop below 20, strictly GPP only play. He’s the ultimate tournament guy as usual. Chris Duarte is still starting and is a GPP option, but his usage takes a major hit with Brogdon back. T.J. McConnell is also a solid option here if LeVert were to miss again.

5-star play: Andre Drummond, Domantas Sabonis

4-star play: Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner

Deeper Value: TJ McConnell, Chris Duarte, Seth Curry, Shake Milton

GPP Sleeper: TJ McConnell

Washington Wizards @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Wizards, Bradley Beal has already been ruled out here, so we have a ton of usage that will go to other guys on this Wizards squad. Spencer Dinwiddie is going to be the main beneficiary here, love him in all formats here tonight. Kyle Kuzma has started the season looking great for this Wizards team, and he’ll see a nice usage boost with Beal out as well, he’s a great play in all formats here as well. Montrezl Harrell and Daniel Gafford continue to share this frontcourt which is going to be frustrating from a DFS perspective, but with Beal out both have more upside here tonight. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was also solid last time Beal missed a game, and Raul Neto will also become fantasy relevant here.

From the Magic, Cole Anthony has been really good so far this year which has caused his price to shoot up. That said, It’s hard to ignore his production right now, I have no issue with him as a secondary option especially against this horrible Wizards defense. It seems as if the Magic are going to have Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. on the floor a lot together this year. Both guys are interesting here, as I love targeting big men against this Wizards frontcourt as well. I like Bamba’s fantasy production and upside a bit better, but both are in play again here. I’d go with Bamba on FanDuel with the blocks bonus and Carter Jr. on DK for the savings. Then the last guy I really have any interest in is Jalen Suggs, he’s going to keep playing solid minutes for this team, but you can throw Franz Wagner in with him as guys that will probably be seeing around 3o minutes and has a floor of around 20 FPs. Lastly, I do like the price tag on Terrence Ross for tournaments, but we know he can be very scoring dependent and is very streaky.

5-star play: Spencer Dinwiddie

4-star play: Mo Bamba, Kyle Kuzma, Wendell Carter, Montrezl Harrell

Deeper Value: Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, Daniel Gafford, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

GPP Sleeper: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Memphis Grizzlies @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Grizzlies, they don’t have a ton of fantasy prospects here but they are a good young team on the rise. The main target here is gonna be Ja Morant as he’s been elite so far this year, and looks to be making that jump to superstar, however, he gets a very nice matchup here as the Pels are allowing a good amount of FPs to opposing PGs. Jaren Jackson Jr. also has all the upside in the world but doesn’t always put it together, but he’s always in play for GPPs. Steven Adams should have a solid game here as well as he should be able to get whatever he wants here against JoVal and you have the revenge factor here as well going up against his old team. Desmond Bane and De’Anthony Melton are also both great plays again here, as they play big minutes and both sites refuse to make them over 6K.

From the Pelicans, Jonas Valanciunas have been front and center in this offense, and they’ll be relying on him heavily until Zion gets back. The price is way up on him but for good reason, he’s a solid play even at his new price on both sites, but this will be a more difficult matchup for him going up against Adams who is an elite defender, but we have the revenge factor for him here as well. Devonte’ Graham continues to look good as well and in a solid matchup here, especially if Brandon Ingram is out again, he has been fantastic with his new team and thriving in his role. With Zion off the court last season, Brandon Ingram was the guy you wanted, but he’s been out for the past week or so, and if he even does play I believe he will be limited so you can fade him either way. If Ingram is out again, then Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a guy you can take a few shots on in GPPs, but he hasn’t been great even in Ingram’s absence. If you’re looking to get really different, Herbert Jones has also been starting but not doing much, but he is playable with Ingram out, just not thrilled about it on a medium sized slate.

5-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Ja Morant

4-star play: Jaren Jackson, Desmond Bane, De’Anthony Melton, Devonte’ Graham

Deeper Value: Steven Adams, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Herbert Jones

GPP Sleeper: Steven Adams, Herbert Jones

Detroit Pistons @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Pistons, they’re pretty much just as terrible as they were last year, but Cade Cunningham is off his minutes restriction, the #1 overall pick is still a decent value but he has been inconsistent this year, I believe he is priced right around value though in this one. Jerami Grant led the team with a 29% usage rate last season and will likely continue that, as he still thrives in this offense even with Cunningham back and should see more usage with Olynyk out for the next few weeks. Isaiah Stewart hasn’t been getting the production I’ve expected, as the Pistons seem intent on playing Kelly Olynyk over him even though you’d think they’d want to develop a talented young big, however, Olynyk will be out the next 6 or so weeks so this is a major boost for Stewart whom I expect to be very low owned here tonight. Saddiq Bey but he is a guy who is streaky, if he is shooting well from 3 he can light it up at low ownership but his price is less than desirable on both sites but it has come down to a playable level on a medium sized slate like tonight.

From the Raptors, Scottie Barnes is still underpriced on both sites, the consistency is going to be an issue as he is a rookie, but that ceiling is too good to pass up. He’s still going to play 30+ minutes here and a guy I don’t mind for GPPs in a great matchup. OG Anunoby has looked great over his last couple of games and will look to keep it going, but with Pascal Siakam likely back in this one it limits his upside a bit, I’m also staying away from Spicy P at this price tag for the time being. Fred VanVleet has been really good so far this year, and they’re gonna need him to continue to lead this offense here, and he has a great matchup. Lastly, Precious Achiuwa will be a really solid value play here if Khem Birch were to miss again, and if Siakam misses for any reason then we can go right back to Chris Boucher again as well as he’ll be forced into minutes.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Jerami Grant, Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby, Cade Cunningham

Deeper Value: Isaiah Stewart, Cade Cunningham, Precious Achiuwa

GPP Sleeper: Isaiah Stewart, Precious Achiuwa

Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

From the Celtics, Jaylen Brown has already been ruled out in this game with a hamstring injury so let’s take a look at how this breaks down for the Celtics:

  • Jayson Tatum – 37% usage rate and 1.43 FPPM
  • Marcus Smart – 20.2% usage and 0.93 FPPM
  • Robert Williams – 15.3% usage and 1.24 FPPM

Those are the guys that we have data for, with Tatum obviously being the biggest beneficiary, he had a really good game last night against the Bucks and I expect him to continue to carry the load moving forward. Al Horford is also a great play here as he’s been a beast on the boards the past few weeks and he just had a really solid game last night, but he always kills the Bucks. Dennis Schroder will also see a nice boost here as well with Brown out and he went nuclear last night. Josh Richardson has also been solid for value and should come in very low owned as well, I’d expect him to see a few more minutes tonight with the C’s being on the 2nd half of a B2B. Marcus Smart is also in play for GPPs here, but I just wouldn’t pair him with Schroder.

From the Cavs, Darius Garland and Collin Sexton were a solid duo in this backcourt but neither has had elite production so far this year, but now that Sexton is out for an extended period we can see Garland thrive a bit here. Ricky Rubio will be the main beneficiary of Sexton being out, but his price did come up a bit on both sites so he is no longer the great value he was a few games ago, however I want him to start here tonight as it is a tougher matchup. Jarrett Allen should also feast in this game as no one has been able to stop him and the Celtics are still notoriously soft inside. Evan Mobley is the guy I’m going to keep looking toward in this frontcourt. The rookie has looked more than legit to start the season and feels like there is still some meat on the bone at his current price tag especially against the Celtics weak interior. With Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Love both still out it makes both Allen and Mobley great plays. If you’re looking to get different, Dean Wade has also been starting but he is a very low usage guy.

5-star play: Jayson Tatum, Jarrett Allen

4-star play: Al Horford, Dennis Schroder, Ricky Rubio, Robert Williams, Evan Mobley

Deeper Value: Ricky Rubio, Marcus Smart, Josh Richardson

GPP Sleeper: Ricky Rubio

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 220.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -6.5

Starting with the Wolves, they’re coming off a blowout win against the Lakers last night, so they should be riding high coming into this game. Karl-Anthony Towns has been fantastic so far this year, and he gets a great matchup here as this Clippers interior has been horrible defensively. D’Angelo Russell was nearly impossible to get right as we got toward the back-end of the season last year and looks he’s gonna be extremely volatile again, but he is worth taking a few shots on in GPPs at this price tag. Anthony Edwards continues to see his price climb, but for good reason. He picked up right where he left off last season as one of the best young scorers in the league and he hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down even with D-Lo back. If you want to get really different you can take a shot on Jaden McDaniels or Jarred Vanderbilt in that front court, whichever one starts is the one I’d prefer but neither of them have a huge ceiling.

Now for the Clippers, as long as Kawhi is out the main target is going to be Paul George as he has elite usage and 60+ upside especially in a game like this one if it stays close as the Wolves defense is just flat out horrific most nights. Ivica Zubac‘s minutes have been trending in the right direction, and they’ll need his big body here to go up against KAT so I really like his upside in GPPs. Terance Mann has had his ups and downs coming off the bench, but at his price point he’s a nice value option especially in the hammer game, but his minutes have been trending in the wrong direction the past few games. Eric Bledsoe and Reggie Jackson are basically a coin flip at this point as well as to who is going to have the better game, but I don’t have a ton of interest in either tonight, but Bledsoe has really been picking it up over the past 2 games and he should be super low owned tonight.

5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Paul George

4-star play: Ivica Zubac, Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell, Eric Bledsoe

Deeper Value: Reggie Jackson, Jaden McDaniels, Jarred Vanderbilt

GPP Sleeper: Eric Bledsoe
