Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
Milwaukee Bucks @ Philadelphia 76ers
Vegas Total: 222.5
Vegas Spread: Mil -6.5
We’ll kick today off with the Bucks, they’ll still be without Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez, so we can take them off the court in our research. Jrue Holiday got his minutes back up to the 30 mark last time out and is going to be a guy I really like here. With Middleton, Lopez, and DiVincenzo off the court last season he had a 27.9% usage rate and 1.34 fantasy points per minute. The sample size on Giannis Antetokounmpo is a little smaller but he’s still looking at a 30.2% usage rate and 1.62 fantasy points per minute, he’s an elite play on a short slate as well. We saw Bobby Portis start at the five last time out and showed what he can do when he gets a full allotment of minutes. Assuming he starts again here, he’s an awesome play in the mid-range. Grayson Allen has looked great as well with at least 32 DraftKings points in back-to-back games, no issue with him here either. Then I think you can round this team out with Pat Connaughton as a tournament option here. From the Sixers, it will continue to be the Andre Drummond show with Joel Embiid still out. Both DraftKings and FanDuel did get his price up over $7k, but it’s still not enough. In his past two starts with Embiid out he’s averaged 54.25 DraftKings points per game. With the Sixers being so shorthanded they’re going to need big minutes out of their main pieces. Tyrese Maxey has played at least 37 minutes in three straight and had his best fantasy game of the season last time out. Meanwhile, Shake Milton came off the bench yesterday and saw his minutes go back down to 22. He’s in play regardless but if we can get him back in the starting lineup I’ll like him a ton. It’s a pace-up spot for the Sixers regardless, so all these guys are very playable. Speaking of pace, the Sixers are dead last in the league while the Bucks are in seventh, so this is a pretty large jump for the Sixers which makes me like them even more. Seth Curry is a fine mid-range option as well before you get to guys like Furkan Korkmaz and Georges Niang who are both firmly in play as well.
5-star play: Jrue Holiday, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis (If starting), Andre Drummond
4-star play: Grayson Allen, Shake Milton, Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry, Furkan Korkmaz, Georges Niang
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton

Atlanta Hawks @ Utah Jazz
Vegas Total: 221.5
Vegas Spread: Utah -8.0
Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young struggled in this spot a bit last time these two teams met. He scored 39.5 DraftKings points in that game but has scored at least 47 DraftKings points in each of the two games since. On a short slate he’s going to be in play, but probably more of a tournament guy for me. The Hawks will need the size of Clint Capela here to hang with Rudy Gobert down low, so I do like getting to him. The big thing with him is generally the minutes, and if they’re going to be a bit more locked in here, I’ll like where he’s at. John Collins is more of a GPP guy for me due to the volatility he brings, but a solid option in the mid-range regardless. Then the rest of this team is hard for me to get to with any sort of confidence. Bogdan Bogdanovic and De’Andre Hunter are fine secondary options especially considering the size of the slate, but I can’t say I feel great about it. From the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell had a bit of a stinker last time out against the Magic, but it was due to poor shooting. Any time a guy has a bad game due to shooting, I have no issue going right back to him, I would rather the guy be missing the shots than not taking the shots. Rudy Gobert will continue to be a solid cash game option with fringe GPP upside, he did drop 57.5 FanDuel points last time out. Mike Conley has at least 37 DraftKings points in three straight games and is a solid cash option as well here. Then we get to the tournament guys in Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles, and Royce O’Neale. You’ll likely land on one or two of these guys due to the slate size, but I wouldn’t be too upset about it, they’re all fine for GPPs.
5-star play: None
4-star play: Trae Young, Clint Capela, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley
Deeper Value: Cam Reddish, Danilo Gallinari, De’Andre Hunter
GPP Sleeper: John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic, De’Andre Hunter, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles, Royce O’Neale
Portland Trailblazers @ Los Angeles Clippers
Vegas Total: 220.0
Vegas Spread: Lac -3.0
We’ll round out the slate starting with the Trailblazers who head into this on as three-point dogs. The story continues for Damian Lillard, as we’ve yet to see a 50 point fantasy game from him, and it’s mostly due to his shooting so far this season. That being said, it did bounce back a bit last time out, so if you want to take a shot on him here on a short slate, I wouldn’t blame you. Jusuf Nurkic put up 46.25 DraftKings points in 22 minutes of work last time out, which is pretty damn impressive. I want to see more minutes from him since we know he’s a point-per-minute monster, but I’ll save him for tournaments at the moment. I’ll never have any issue if you want to get to CJ McCollum, I just never play him for some reason. He’s always pretty consistent and will play a big chunk of minutes. Then you can round this team out with Norman Powell and Robert Covington who have been in solid form as of late. From the Clippers, Paul George has at least 53 DraftKings points in four of his last five games and gets a nice matchup with the Blazers here, he’s right there with Giannis as the top raw play on the slate. Reggie Jackson has been in great form as of late with at least 31 DraftKings points in three straight games, he’s a solid option in a great matchup. Nicolas Batum should continue to start for Marcus Morris and has been performing well, he’s not a guy I generally get to but it’s hard to ignore his production over the past four games. Ivica Zubac has at least 24 DraftKings points in three straight and finally getting good minutes. Serge Ibaka being back worries me a little bit regarding his minutes, but I have no issue going right back to the well on Zubac here. Speaking of Ibaka, he only played eight minutes last time out, he’s not in play until those minutes come back up to a decent range. Then you can round this team out with GPP guys like Terance Mann, Eric Bledsoe, and Luke Kennard in the backcourt.
5-star play: Paul George
4-star play: Damian Lillard, Jusuf Nurkic, CJ McCollum, Reggie Jackson, Nicolas Batum, Ivica Zubac
Deeper Value: Eric Bledsoe
GPP Sleeper: Norman Powell, Robert Covington, Terance Mann, Eric Bledsoe, Luke Kennard
I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win last night. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!
