Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Orlando Magic @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: 208.5

Vegas Spread: Phi -15.5

We’ll get this slate started with the Magic, Cole Anthony has already been ruled out in this one but Mo Bamba comes in as questionable after missing the last game, so keep an eye out for updates surrounding his status. Jalen Suggs continues to look solid with Anthony off the court, he now has at least 26 DraftKings points in four of his last five games and hasn’t really seen his price tag move all that much. He has a 27.1% usage rate and just about 0.87 fantasy points per minute with Anthony off the court this season. Mo Bamba has been all over the place lately and is going to be strictly a tournament option for me especially against Embiid down low, assuming both these big men play. The price tag has finally come up on Wendell Carter Jr. enough to where he’s not just a flat-out lock for me. I do still think he’s firmly in play especially if Bamba is to miss this one. Then Franz Wagner has at least 28 DraftKings points in three straight games after having back-to-back duds against Milwaukee. The price tag is climbing on him but still a solid secondary play. From the Sixers, Joel Embiid returned in a big way last time out after missing three weeks of action. He got a great matchup with the Wolves and took advantage on his way to dropping 70 DraftKings points. It was pretty clear they weren’t limiting him at all, so I have no issue going right back to him in a good matchup again tonight. Tobias Harris is more of a secondary option for me in a revenge game against his really old team. He will lose some production with Embiid back in the lineup. Tyrese Maxey has been the model of consistency as of late going for at least 31 DraftKings points in five straight games and nine of his last ten. Then you can round this Sixers team out with Seth Curry as a tournament option, he would see a small boost if Shake Milton were to miss.

5-star play: Joel Embiid

4-star play: Jalen Suggs, Wendell Carter Jr., Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Mo Bamba, Franz Wagner, Seth Curry

Denver Nuggets @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 207.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -7.5

Starting this one with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic comes in questionable again but has missed close to two weeks of game action now, so I’m just going to operate under the assumption that he’s out, but keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for if that changes. Will Barton will need to continue to lead this offense, but in a tough matchup with this Miami defense, he’s more of a tournament play than anything. The same can be said for Aaron Gordon although he has at least 36 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. I guess you can make a case for either JaMychal Green or Jeff Green, but on a nine-game slate, I think we’ll be able to find better options. From Miami, we’re going to need some news on this team before we can fully break them down. Both Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro come in as questionable. Depending on who misses or who doesn’t, Kyle Lowry could see a heavy boost in the backcourt while Bam Adebayo would see an overall increase in usage and opportunity. Along with some value opening up, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed throughout the day for updates on this team as we get closer to lock this afternoon.

5-star play: MIA TBD

4-star play: MIA TBD, Will Barton, Aaron Gordon

Deeper Value: MIA TBD

GPP Sleeper: MIA TBD, JaMychal Green, Jeff Green, Aaron Gordon, Will Barton

Charlotte Hornets @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 226.0

Vegas Spread: Chi -5.5

Starting with the Hornets, LaMelo Ball has been a guy I’ve been wanting exposure to on FanDuel over DraftKings due to the price difference, and I think it’s something I’ll do again here as he comes off a big game last time out. He also gets a matchup with his brother which could add an extra gear tonight, I like him in tournaments at the very least. Miles Bridges has been fine and a guy I won’t have any issue with if you wanted to go to him here but has been held under 40 DraftKings points in four straight games. Gordon Hayward has been in more consistent form relative to his price tag with at least 30 DraftKings points in four of his last five games, I wouldn’t have an issue if you got some exposure to him here. Terry Rozier bounced back nicely last game and now has at least 48 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. PJ Washington was a guy I was really heavy on last time this team played and he ended up getting 35 minutes of run in an overtime game against the Rockets. He’s clearly been lifted from any sort of minutes limit and with Mason Plumlee out again here I like going right back to the well at this price tag. Lastly, you can make a case for Kelly Oubre for GPPs, but he’s been incredibly volatile this season. From the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic should be a full go going forward after hitting the 30-minute mark last time out, that said, he’s more of a secondary option for me with all the usage to go around on this team. Both Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan will take a hit with Vucevic back, I’ll wait for their prices to come down a bit before I go back to them with Vucevic back in the lineup, neither of them is in great form. Lonzo Ball actually has at least 36 DraftKings points in three straight, however, and as I mentioned with LaMelo, he gets a matchup against his brother, so I don’t hate him for GPPs. Then you can round the Bulls out with Alex Caruso as a secondary play, he should continue to play big minutes and gets it done all across the stat sheet.

5-star play: LaMelo Ball (FanDuel), PJ Washington

4-star play: LaMelo Ball (DraftKings), Miles Bridges, Gordon Hayward, Terry Rozier, Alex Caruso

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kelly Oubre, Nikola Vucevic, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 214.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -2.0

Starting with the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander returned last game and played 34 minutes, so he should be a full go again here. He’s averaging 32.6 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Rockets this season and is probably more of a tournament play for me at this price tag. Josh Giddey is going to continue to be a fine option in all formats due to his ability to stuff the stat sheet, his price has stayed pretty consistent as well. Lu Dort has back-to-back nice games, but he’s too volatile to trust in cash games, certainly in play for tournaments, however. I made Jeremiah Robinson-Earl my lock of the day the last time the Thunder were on the slate, and he threw up a dud… that being said, I have no issue going right back to him in this matchup, his price tag still hasn’t budged on DraftKings. Then you can round this team out with Darius Bazley in tournaments. From the Rockets, Christian Wood and Kevin Porter Jr. had massive games on Saturday night and are guys I’ll go right back to here with Jalen Green out. With Green off the court this season Wood has a 25.3% usage rate and 1.34 fantasy points per minute while Porter Jr. has a 28% usage rate and 1.09 fantasy points per minute. Not to mention they get a great matchup again here with the Thunder. Eric Gordon is interesting too after putting up a 36 point fantasy game against the Hornets and Jae’Sean Tate is a fine secondary option, but my main interest in this team falls with Wood and Porter Jr.

5-star play: Christian Wood, Kevin Porter Jr.

4-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Eric Gordon

Deeper Value: Jeremiah Robinson-Earl

GPP Sleeper: Lu Dort, Darius Bazley, Jae’Sean Tate, Eric Gordon

Indiana Pacers @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 217.5

Vegas Spread: Min -4.0

Starting with the Pacers, I really like this spot for Domantas Sabonis. He hasn’t been in the best form this season, or consistent form I should say. But we saw what big men can do to this Wolves interior with Embiid over the weekend. I love the price on him and will be a guy I get some decent exposure to here. The same can be said for Malcolm Brogdon who just can’t seem to get a price increase. He had a bad game last time out against the Bucks, but I have no issue going right back to him in this spot. Myles Turner will get a pretty similar analysis as Sabonis, except Turner has a track record of being more volatile, so I’ll leave him for tournaments. Then you can round the Pacers out with the trio of Caris LeVert, TJ McConnell, and Chris Duarte, but I have a hard time imagining you fall on any of those three on this slate. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns just hasn’t been showing off his 50-60 point production consistently this season. I don’t have an issue with going back to him in this spot, but maybe we need to start adjusting our expectations on him. Then we get to D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards who are ping-ponging having huge nights. The last time out it was Russell who dropped a 60 point fantasy night on the Sixers. While Russell has kept his consistency again, I generally set a rule in the Domination Station to not pair them together. You can play either of these guys again in this spot fairly confidently. Lastly, Patrick Beverley has already been ruled out for a few games, so we will have a bunch of minutes open up in the backcourt. Malik Beasley figures to see the increase in minutes, but man did he look bad last time out against the Sixers.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon

4-star play: Myles Turner, Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards

Deeper Value: Malik Beasley

GPP Sleeper: Myles Turner, Caris LeVert, TJ McConnell, Chris Duarte, Malik Beasley

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 207.5

Vegas Spread: Dal -5.5

Starting with Cavs, Evan Mobley returned last game to play 33 minutes, so I’m assuming he won’t be limited at all after missing close to two weeks with an elbow injury. I love attacking this Mavericks team with big men so he and Jarrett Allen are going to be guys I like in this spot. Darius Garland dropped a 50 burger on the Magic last time out and is a guy I’ll go right back to here, it seems like he’s finally finding his footing. Ricky Rubio is a solid pivot from him at a cheaper price tag as well, but probably more of a cash game guy. Mobley being back will hurt the minutes for Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Love, but I expect they take priority over Cedi Osman, as Markkanen was playing big minutes when Mobley was active earlier in the season, so I’m not all that concerned with his minutes. He looked solid again last game with Mobley in there, so he’s in play again here. From the Mavericks, Luka Doncic has been fine as of late with at least 54 DraftKings points in five straight games. However, with the price tag he has, I’d like to see him more consistently over that 60 point marker. That said, he’s still a great play here if the value on this slate opens up to a point where we can comfortably afford him. Jalen Brunson comes into this one as questionable after missing their last game. Just keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on him, but guys like Tim Hardaway Jr. and even Luka would see more usage with him off the court. Kristaps Porzingis has been in really good form as of late, but the price tag is going to be tough for me to swallow with Luka back on the court, he’s deep GPP only at that price point.

5-star play: Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen

4-star play: Darius Garland, Ricky Rubio, Lauri Markkanen, Luka Doncic

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Tim Hardaway Jr., Kristaps Porzingis

I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!

Washington Wizards @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 214.5

Vegas Spread: Was -3.5

Starting with the Wizards, Bradley Beal was a guy I had a lot of interest in again over the weekend, and that only heightened when Dinwiddie got ruled out. Dinwiddie should be back here, but I still like the price on Beal and love the matchup with the Spurs, he’ll be in play again for me here. The price tag on Spencer Dinwiddie seems like it’s finally adjusting and had a terrible night last time out. I think I’ll wait until he’s closer to the mid-$5k range, but he’s certainly more in play now than he was at $7k.  Montrezl Harrell is another guy that seems pretty fairly priced to the point where I don’t know that the GPP upside is there with a healthy-ish frontcourt. Then the only other viable options for me on this team are Kyle Kuzma and Daniel Gafford as secondary GPP options, Kuzma has at least 31 DraftKings in three of his last four games while Gafford has back to back 36 point fantasy nights. From the Spurs, Dejounte Murray continues to dominate every team in his way. He has at least 51 FanDuel points in five of his last six games and would be a guy I go right back to against the Wizards here. Derrick White has shown flashes of bouncing back over his last couple of games, but they haven’t been shy about adjusting his price tag, he’s probably more of a tournament option for me at the moment, but seems like he’s rounding into form a bit. Keldon Johnson looked like he was on his way to a monster game against Boston, but cooled down in the second half, he’s a solid tournament option here as well. Then you can round this team out with Jakob Poeltl as a solid mid-range center option.

5-star play: Bradley Beal, Dejounte Murray

4-star play: Kyle Kuzma, Derrick White, Jakob Poeltl

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Montrezl Harrell, Daniel Gafford, Kyle Kuzma, Keldon Johnson

Portland Trailblazers @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 223.0

Vegas Spread: Utah -7.5

Starting with the Blazers, Damian Lillard went into their last game on a bit of a roll, but couldn’t get it going at all. I don’t have an issue going back to him here but would lean to use him more in tournaments than anything. CJ McCollum will always be a fine option, but not a guy I get to all that much, it just feels like he’s always priced right where he should be. It’s worth noting that Norman Powell will miss this game which opens up around 30 minutes in this rotation. Look for guys like Nassir Little, Larry Nance Jr., and Robert Covington to scoop those up. Lastly, Jusuf Nurkic is a fine tournament option, the minutes are all over the place on him right now but they’ll need his size in this one. It’s a difficult matchup, but any time he gets minutes I’ll have an interest. From the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell had a nice bounce-back game last time out and gets a great matchup here at a price tag that seems just a bit too low. I like going right back to the well on him again here. Rudy Gobert has been held under 30 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and at his price tag, I think we can probably find better options on a pretty large slate. Then Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic are fine secondary options. Conley is probably your cash guy where Bogdanovic is more of your GPP type play due to his shooting dependency. You can throw Jordan Clarkson and Royce O’Neale in that GPP category as well.

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jusuf Nurkic, Larry Nance Jr., Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gobert, Royce O’Neale

New Orleans Pelicans @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 210.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -6.5

Starting with the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has seen his price drop to under $8k on both sites, but just isn’t producing consistently enough for me to have a whole lot of interest in him. He’s a fine GPP option, but I think we can find better options on this slate. Jonas Valanciunas has been pretty volatile as of late compared to the consistency we saw earlier in the season but it’s mostly due to his minutes being all over the place. He’s a GPP only play for me in a solid matchup against this Clippers frontcourt. Devonte’ Graham had a tough go of it last time out but didn’t see a whole lot of run either, I really like his price tag for tournaments however in the chance that he gets those minutes back up. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a fine tournament play given his upside, but not someone I would touch in cash games. I’ll have some interest in Josh Hart as well, but his volatility will keep him as strictly a tournament guy. From the Clippers, Paul George is playing massive minutes right now but scored just 39 DraftKings points in this matchup earlier on in the season. I have no issue going here at this price tag however, it’s a pretty solid matchup. This team got blown out by the Warriors last time out which really killed Reggie Jackson, I don’t hate using him in GPPs in hopes people see that game log and you get him at minimal ownership. Ivica Zubac has been pretty consistent as of late, I like getting to him if you need a mid-range center option. Eric Bledsoe has bounced back over his last two games and gets a revenge game here, I would leave him for GPPs however. Lastly, Marcus Morris makes sense at his price tag as well with Nicolas Batum out.

5-star play: Paul George

4-star play: Brandon Ingram, Jonas Valanciunas, Devonte’ Graham, Josh Hart, Ivica Zubac

Deeper Value: Devonte’ Graham

GPP Sleeper: Brandon Ingram, Jonas Valanciunas, Devonte’ Graham, Josh Hart, Reggie Jackson, Eric Bledsoe, Marcus Morris, Nickeil Alexander-Walker

NBA Lock of the Day: Domantas Sabonis (DK – $8.4k; FD – $8.3k)

I’m not going to look too much into his last outing against the Bucks, he only played 22 minutes and shot pretty poorly in a blowout. Before that game he was playing pretty consistent ball and now gets a great matchup with a Wolves team that can’t stop anyone inside… see what Joel Embiid just did to them over the weekend. In three games against the Wolves since last season, he is averaging 53.5 DraftKings points per game. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
