Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
Detroit Pistons @ Los Angeles Clippers
Vegas Total: 206.0
Vegas Spread: Lac -12.5
We’ll get this big slate of games started with an island afternoon game, if you want to play this one you’ll either have to do so on a showdown slate or an all-day slate. Starting with the Pistons, Isaiah Stewart should return from suspension here and go straight into the starting lineup. Luke Garza and Trey Lyles were serviceable, but Stewart will get that starting gig back real quick and looks like a solid option here. Cade Cunningham has cooled off a little bit over his last two games, but I have no issue chasing those few games from early last week where he was in the 50 fantasy point range. Jerami Grant is a solid option on a showdown slate as well, he’s never really a guy that is all that sexy of a play. Cory Joseph should start again here but it’s worth noting he only saw seven minutes last time out and is fighting a sprained ankle, I don’t know how fast I would want to play him here. Then you can round this team out with GPP guys like Saddiq Bey and even Frank Jackson as a flyer on a short slate if we think Joseph isn’t 100%. From the Clippers, Paul George is probably the top raw option on the showdown slate and I guy I would make a priority against a bad Pistons team. Reggie Jackson dropped a 50 burger last time out, he’s been pretty consistently in the 30-40 fantasy point range as well, so I like him here again too. Eric Bledsoe, on the other hand, has been in pretty terrible form. I’ll leave him for GPPs until that form rounds back into shape. I do like the consistency we’re seeing from Ivica Zubac and gets a great matchup with this Pistons frontcourt here. Then you can round the Clippers off with Marcus Morris and Luke Kennard as GPP plays. Morris returned last time out for the Clippers after missing a month and slotted right into 31 minutes, so it’s pretty clear he won’t be limited at all.
5-star play: Paul George
4-star play: Cade Cunningham, Jerami Grant, Reggie Jackson, Ivica Zubac
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Cory Joseph, Saddiq Bey, Frank Jackson, Marcus Morris, Luke Kennard

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Charlotte Hornets
Vegas Total: 223.5
Vegas Spread: Cha -2.5
Onto the main slate where we’ll start with the Timberwolves. Karl-Anthony Towns had a rough go of it last time out against the Heat but gets a great bounceback spot here against a soft Hornets interior. I love the price tag on him as well and is a guy I’ll have some interest in tonight. Then we get to D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards who are kind of eating into each other’s usage right now. Although, Edwards put up a massive game against the Heat going for 69.5 DraftKings points. I generally set a rule in the Domination Station to not pair them together, but in this matchup, if you land on them both I have no issue just running it. After all, Russell put up 38 DraftKings in that game as well, so it’s not like Edwards stole all of his thunder. Lastly, Patrick Beverley has already been ruled out for this one meaning we will have a bunch of minutes open up in the backcourt. We saw Malik Beasley get 38 minutes last time out and would expect him to be a direct beneficiary of Beverley being out. At around $4k on both sites, he makes for a nice value option. From the Hornets, LaMelo Ball will probably be a guy I’m just going to continue to target on FanDuel where he’s $1k cheaper than on DraftKings. He’s been a bit volatile relative to the price tag but with 60-70 fantasy point upside he’s in play for GPPs at the very least. Miles Bridges bounced back nicely last time out and is a guy I don’t have an issue with in a great matchup. Gordon Hayward only saw 25 minutes last time out and didn’t hit a shot, he’s more of a tournament guy at best for me. I mentioned that Terry Rozier has a big ceiling when his shots are falling last time the Hornets played and guess what… the shots fell for him and he dropped 48 DraftKings points. He then followed that up with a 53 point DraftKings night, he didn’t shoot as well in that game but racked up six steals. He’s going to continue to be in play for me at this price tag. We saw PJ Washington return last time out and played just six minutes, but if Mason Plumlee were to miss this game he would be forced into more minutes and would be an interesting GPP option. Lastly, you can make a case for Kelly Oubre for GPPs, but he’s been incredibly volatile this season.
5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball (FanDuel)
4-star play: D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, LaMelo Ball (DraftKings), Terry Rozier, Miles Bridges
Deeper Value: Malik Beasley
GPP Sleeper: Gordon Hayward, Mason Plumlee, PJ Washington, Kelly Oubre
Phoenix Suns @ New York Knicks
Vegas Total: 216.0
Vegas Spread: Phx -3.5
Starting with the Suns, I don’t have an issue with either Devin Booker or Chris Paul here, but they’re generally not guys I get to especially on big slates. For some reason, they always feel priced about where they should be and are pretty hard to predict a “ceiling” game when they’re both active. Deandre Ayton came back down to Earth last time out against the Cavs, but is a guy I’ll go right back to here at this price tag, he feels too cheap relative to the numbers he’s been putting up as of late. We can round the Suns out with Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder as GPP flyers, but I don’t think you’ll need them on this slate. The Suns as a whole just aren’t a team I get to all that much when they’re fully healthy. From the Knicks, both Mitchell Robinson and Derrick Rose come in as questionable here, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding their statuses. Julius Randle has been pretty consistent as of late, but I think he’s priced right where he should be considering the matchup. I’ll have much more interest in him over on FanDuel where he’s $8.7k. RJ Barrett is a fine tournament guy, but can be volatile, which I guess is what we’re looking for in GPP, so no issue there. Evan Fournier and Alec Burks both had big games last time out with Rose off the court. They would be guys I would have interest in again here if he’s forced to miss. Then Kemba Walker is just going to be a fade for me, he’s not getting the minutes and if people are going to jump on him when/if Rose gets ruled out, let them. I need to see that he still has it before I go back to him this season.
5-star play: Julius Randle (FanDuel)
4-star play: Julius Randle (DraftKings), Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, RJ Barrett
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder, Evan Fournier, Alec Burks, RJ Barrett
Chicago Bulls @ Orlando Magic
Vegas Total: 212.5
Vegas Spread: Chi -8.5
Starting with the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic returned last game to play 26 minutes, I would assume he gets up around 30 minutes here and I’ll just operate under the assumption that he’s no longer under any sort of restriction. He gets a revenge game here against the Magic and looks like a solid secondary tournament play. Both Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan will take a hit with Vucevic back, I’ll wait for their prices to come down a bit before I go back to them with Vucevic back in the lineup. Lonzo Ball will continue to be a GPP guy for me, it’s hard to predict when he’ll have a nice game with his supporting cast demanding more usage than ever. Then you can round the Bulls out with Alex Caruso as a secondary play, he should continue to play big minutes and gets it done all across the stat sheet. From the Magic, Cole Anthony comes in as questionable here, but I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s out until we see the news that he’ll play. Keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on him. Jalen Suggs was extreme chalk last time out and is a great play again here if Anthony were to miss again. He has a 28.1% usage rate and just about 0.9 fantasy points per minute with Anthony off the court this season. Mo Bamba bounced back nicely last time out and will continue to be a nice tournament option whereas the price tag on Wendell Carter Jr. just continues to be too cheap. He’ll be a guy I have a bunch of interest in again here in a revenge game against the Bulls. Then Franz Wagner is a nice value option as well, he had a nice bounce-back game last time out against the Hornets.
***The below is assuming Cole Anthony is OUT**
5-star play: Jalen Suggs, Wendell Carter Jr.
4-star play: Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, Mo Bamba, Franz Wagner
Deeper Value: Franz Wagner
GPP Sleeper: Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, RJ Hampton, Mo Bamba
Toronto Raptors @ Indiana Pacers
Vegas Total: 210.0
Vegas Spread: Ind -3.5
Starting with the Raptors, OG Anunoby comes into this one as questionable after missing the last handful of games, so we’ll need to keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on him but for now, I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s out again. Pascal Siakam feels like he’s priced about right here, he does have a 50+ point ceiling, but it’s not something we’ve seen all that often. The price tag on Fred VanVleet came up a little bit on DraftKings, but still think he’s a solid play on both sites in a great matchup against the Pacers who haven’t stopped any guards this season. Scottie Barnes continues to be a nice option and shouldn’t lose all that many minutes if Anunoby were to return, he’s a solid option in all formats. Then you can round this team out with Gary Trent Jr. and Precious Achiuwa in GPPs. I’ll have more interest in Achiuwa if Anunoby sits again, but with Birch out his minutes are pretty secure. From the Pacers, I told you the minutes on Malcolm Brogdon would come up and they did last game all the way to 46. Now, this one went to overtime, but the minutes were increased in regulation. I don’t know why DraftKings refuses to raise his price but he’ll be a guy I have a bunch of interest in over there again today. Domantas Sabonis was in the same boat as Brogdon where the minutes were down, but they’re back up again here when the game isn’t a blowout, I have no issue going back to him against a pretty weak frontcourt here. We know what we’re getting when it comes to Myles Turner by now. We’ve seen the floor and we’ve seen the ceiling and there’s no way in really telling when we’re going to get either one, with that said he’s a solid GPP option in this matchup. Then you can round out the Pacers with TJ McConnell and Chris Duarte in tournaments. You can throw Caris LeVert in that group as well, he’s just been too volatile for my liking.
5-star play: Malcolm Brogdon
4-star play: Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner
Deeper Value: Precious Achiuwa
GPP Sleeper: Gary Trent Jr., Precious Achiuwa, Myles Turner, Caris LeVert, TJ McConnell, Chris Duarte
Atlanta Hawks @ Memphis Grizzlies
Vegas Total: 226.0
Vegas Spread: Mem -1.0
Starting with Hawks, Trae Young bounced back nicely last time out against the Spurs and is going to be a guy I like again here in a game with a big implied total. Clint Capela had a big game last time out as well and as long as those minutes are consistently over 30 I’m going to continue to have interest in him. John Collins is more of the GPP guy due to the volatility he has, but I like these high-paced games for him where they can let him run and gun a bit. Bogdan Bogdanovic had a big game last time out and is a guy you can get to in tournaments as a secondary option as well. Then you can round out the Hawks with Kevin Huerter and Cam Reddish as value options, they’re pretty scoring dependant but has huge upside relative to his price tag. They would both see a boost if Bogdanovic were to miss as he comes in as questionable here. From the Grizzlies, it sounds like Dillon Brooks will return here and De’Anthony Melton is questionable, so we can somewhat jump off the Desmond Bane train at his price tag. Brooks played 26 minutes on Wednesday so I would think he’s back around the 30-minute range here and makes a lot of sense at this price tag. Ja Morant has at least 48 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and any time I can target a high upside point guard against Trae Young, I’m going to do it, his defense is very suspect. Jaren Jackson Jr. will continue to be a GPP only guy for me until he figures out his foul trouble issues. Lastly, Steven Adams has been frustrating to roster all season, I don’t think we need him on this slate.
5-star play: Trae Young, Ja Morant
4-star play: Clint Capela, John Collins, Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson Jr.
Deeper Value: Cam Reddish, Kevin Huerter
GPP Sleeper: Kyle Anderson, Jaren Jackson Jr., Bogdan Bogdanovic, Cam Reddish, John Collins
I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!
Washington Wizards @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Vegas Total: 206.0
Vegas Spread: Was -7.5
Starting with the Wizards, Bradley Beal was a guy I had a lot of interest in last time out against the Pelicans and he had a bit of a dud. I have no issue going right back to him against a weak defensive unit in the Thunder. I’ll continue to fade Spencer Dinwiddie at this price tag, he’s a fine option if you want to go here as a secondary cash guy but I don’t think the upside is there with Beal on the court with him. Montrezl Harrell is another guy that seems pretty fairly priced to the point where I don’t know that the GPP upside is there with a healthy-ish frontcourt. Then the only other viable options for me on this team are Kyle Kuzma and Daniel Gafford as secondary GPP options… it’s pretty much Beal and a whole lot of nothing from the Wizards. From the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has already been ruled out for this one so there’s going to be some usage and minutes open for the rest of this team. Josh Giddey will continue to be someone I’ll have interest in here. He has at least 32 DraftKings points in six straight games and sees a 22.7% usage rate and 1.13 fantasy points per minute with Gilgeous-Alexander off the court. Lu Dort is interesting… he sees a 5% increase in usage with SGA off the court but it doesn’t correlate to any more fantasy points per minute, so he’ll stick to just a GPP option for me. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl has been quietly crushing in DFS. He has at least 26 DraftKings points in five of his last six games and has a nice price tag yet again here. I will note that his price tag is much friendlier on DraftKings where he’s just $4.3k. Lastly, I want to like Darius Bazley but he’s so inconsistent it’s going to be hard for me to like him in anything more than GPPs.
5-star play: Bradley Beal, Josh Giddey, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (DraftKings)
4-star play: Kyle Kuzma, Lu Dort
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Montrezl Harrell, Daniel Gafford, Kyle Kuzma, Spencer Dinwiddie, Darius Bazley
Boston Celtics @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 214.5
Vegas Spread: Bos -3.0
Starting with the Celtics, tell me if you’ve heard this one before, but Jaylen Brown comes into this game as questionable while Robert Williams has been ruled out. Keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding Brown, but my assumption would be that he plays. Jayson Tatum has seen his production fall in each of his last four games, Brown being back will hurt his usage and opportunity and at this price tag, I think we can find better options even in a good matchup with the Spurs. Al Horford threw up a dud last time out but is a guy I’ll go right back to with Williams out again here. Then you can round the slate out with Dennis Schroder and Marcus Smart as GPP options. Smart has been in good form as of late after starting the season a bit slow. From the Spurs, Dejounte Murray is cookin’ right now, he has at least 54 DraftKings points in four of his last five games and is someone I’ll go right back to here. The Celtics defense isn’t what it use to be. Jakob Poeltl has looked good over his last two games and I like targeting big men against this Celtics frontcourt. Derrick White just can’t seem to find a groove, he was great early on in the season but has been volatile since. I would leave him for GPPs at this point. Then you can round this team out with Keldon Johnson for tournaments, we know the upside is there with him but just doesn’t show it with any sort of consistency.
5-star play: Dejounte Murray
4-star play: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Dennis Schroder, Jakob Poeltl
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Keldon Johnson
Milwaukee Bucks @ Denver Nuggets
Vegas Total: 214.0
Vegas Spread: Mil -3.5
Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to crush everything in his way right now but finally gets someone that can at least get in his way here. It will be fun to watch Giannis and Jokic battle this one out. In terms of fantasy, if you can afford him, I won’t be talking you off Giannis any time soon, he looks great right now. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton have been a consistent option as of late and I have no issue with them in any format but their ceilings feel a bit capped with Giannis out there with them. Bobby Portis will continue to start at the five with Brook Lopez continued to be out and is a solid GPP play but his price has finally caught up to him. He has at least 41 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. Then you can round this team out with Grayson Allen as a tournament option. From the Nuggets, the same thing I said about Giannis pretty much applies to Nikola Jokic here. He comes in listed as questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding him, but he’s a great raw option should he play. Will Barton is a good option again here, with Michael Porter Jr. off the court this season he has a 22.8% usage rate and 1.02 fantasy points per minute and is a guy that can take over a game when given the opportunity. Then you can round the Nuggets out with Aaron Gordon as a tournament-only option for me, this guy is one of the more volatile DFS players in the NBA.
5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic
4-star play: Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, Will Barton
Deeper Value: Jeff Green
GPP Sleeper: Grayson Allen, Aaron Gordon

New Orleans Pelicans @ Utah Jazz
Vegas Total: 217.0
Vegas Spread: Utah -12.5
Starting with the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram just isn’t a guy I have interest in at this price tag. It’s coming down a bit but he hasn’t been over 40 fantasy points in any of the last five games and gets a tough matchup in this one. Jonas Valanciunas bounced back somewhat last game but the minutes are down for him right now and in a tough matchup with Gobert down low I think we can find better options. Devonte’ Graham returned on Wednesday to play 21 minutes, I would think he’s somewhat limited again here and likely not a guy I’ll get any of on a big slate. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a fine tournament play given his upside, but not someone I would touch in cash games. I’ll have some interest in Josh Hart as well, he has at least 35 DraftKings points in four of his last five games and playing big minutes. From the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell dropped a dud last time out in 36 minutes against the Thunder. I do like this spot as a bounce-back game for him at a nice price tag, however. Rudy Gobert finally got his price up but playing like it as well, he has back-to-back 50 burgers and someone you can get to in all formats again here. Then Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic are fine secondary options. Conley is probably your cash guy where Bogdanovic is more of your GPP type play due to his shooting dependency. You can throw Jordan Clarkson and Royce O’Neale in that GPP category as well. I should mention that O’Neale comes in as questionable, if he were to miss we should see a nice minutes increase for Joe Ingles.
5-star play: None
4-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Josh Hart, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Brandon Ingram, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Royce O’Neale
Portland Trailblazers @ Golden State Warriors
Vegas Total: 225.0
Vegas Spread: Gsw -6.0
Starting with the Blazers, Damian Lillard now has at least 56 DraftKings points in two of his last three games and may be finding his footing finally. He’s playing massive minutes and in a nice game environment here I’ll definitely have some interest in him. CJ McCollum is a fine option as well, for some reason I just don’t get to him all that often, but won’t talk you off of him if you were to land on him here, he’s coming off a big game last night. See what happens when Jusuf Nurkic gets minutes? He dropped 59 DraftKings points last time out but this spot doesn’t set up all that well for him as the Warriors are pretty good at forcing clunky big men off the court. Then you can round the Blazers out with GPP guys like Norman Powell and Larry Nance Jr. as a value guy, he’s been in pretty solid form as of late and has seen his minutes come up. From the Warriors, Steph Curry somewhat bounced back last time out against the Sixers but at this price tag, he needs to be damn near 60 DraftKings points for you to feel great about him on a big slate. I do think if you can make a Curry/Lillard late-night hammer stack work for GPPs it makes it a fun follow, but not something I recommend a ton of. Andrew Wiggins has been pretty solid as of late, but just as you start to trust Wiggins he’s notorious for screwing you… so I’ll leave him for tournaments still. Jordan Poole has been in great form as well, but I just can’t justify paying over $7k for him on DraftKings, I would much rather get my Poole exposure on FanDuel. Then you can round this team out with Draymond Green who has at least 30 DraftKings points in six straight games.
5-star play: Damian Lillard, Steph Curry
4-star play: CJ McCollum, Jusuf Nurkic, Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green
Deeper Value: Larry Nance Jr.
GPP Sleeper: Jusuf Nurkic, Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole
Sacramento Kings @ Los Angeles Lakers
Vegas Total: 229.0
Vegas Spread: Lal -7.5
We’ll round out this slate with the highest implied total as the Kings head into Los Angeles. Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been hard to trust as of late but was on his way to a decent game last time out before he got ejected. I would still save him for GPPs until we see some consistency out of him. Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes both come into this one as questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding them. Guys like Chimezie Metu and even Marvin Bagley would stand to benefit from them being out. It’s worth noting that Bagle got 19 minutes last game and could start to work his way back into the rotation with Luke Walton out of town. Tyrese Haliburton is a fine secondary option but isn’t in the greatest form over his past couple of games. Then you can round this team out with Buddy Hield in tournaments. From the Lakers, LeBron James is questionable again here, if he plays I’m probably just going to fade this team as a whole. If he misses, however, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis will receive a boost but are priced as if he’s already out. Talen Horton-Tucker would be my favorite option from the Lakers if he were to miss, but a situation to monitor.
*** We’ll need some news regarding Barnes, Holmes, and LeBron – so jump in our VIP Slack Chat for updates on the below once we get that news ***
5-star play: TBD
4-star play: TBD

NBA Lock of the Day: Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (DK – $4.3k; FD – $5.4k)
Robinson-Earl is probably more of a DraftKings lock than a FanDuel play just due to the price difference, but I do think you can get to him on FanDuel as well. He’s playing sneaky well as of late with at least 26 DraftKings points in five of his last six games. Over the last two weeks, he’s averaging right around a fantasy point per minute and sees a 1.3% usage bump as well as about 0.1 fantasy points per minute more with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander off the court this season. I love the matchup against the Wizards as well. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
