Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
Houston Rockets @ New York Knicks
Vegas Total: 210.5
Vegas Spread: Nyk -11.5
We’ll get the day started with an island game starting just before the main slate, so if you’re looking to play this game you’ll likely have to do so on a showdown type of slate, but we’ll break it down for ya! Starting with the Rockets, Kevin Porter Jr. comes into this one as questionable after missing their last game. Keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding his status, as Jalen Green looked pretty damn good with him out last time. Speaking of Green, he dropped 30 DraftKings points last time out in 36 minutes and can put up fantasy points in a hurry. He’s still a bit raw from a basketball perspective, but the potential is clearly there. Christian Wood had a pretty disappointing game last time out against the Thunder but he probably has the highest upside in this game right next to Julius Randle, I have no issue with him again here. Jae’sean Tate looked good in that game and is a guy I don’t have an issue with in cash games, he’s just not all that sexy of a play. Then you can round this team out with tournament guys like Eric Gordon, Daniel Theis, and maybe Alperen Sengun if you want to get wacky in a tournament. From the Knicks, Julius Randle has been held under 35 DraftKings points in four straight games. He’s generally a pretty consistent guy in the 40-50 fantasy point range and a guy I have no issue going back to here and ignoring those game logs in a great matchup. RJ Barrett has been all over the place as of late but in this matchup, you can get to him pretty comfortably. Kemba Walker is a different story, there’s no predicting this man right now and some of it is due to his minutes fluctuating a ton. He’s a GPP only type play for me here even in a great matchup. Finding a consistent piece on this team is going to be tough beyond Randle and even Barrett, but you can go to guys like Alec Burks, Evan Fournier, and Derrick Rose. All will see minutes in this one, you may just need to get lucky and land on the right one. Lastly, I do like Mitchell Robinson in tournaments, people always wonder why Christian Wood has bounced around the league and it’s because he can’t play a lick of defense, so look for Robinson to take advantage.
5-star play: Christian Wood, Julius Randle
4-star play: Kevin Porter Jr., Jae’sean Tate, RJ Barrett
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Eric Gordon, Daniel Theis, Alperen Sengun, Alec Burks, Evan Fournier, Kemba Walker, Derrick Rose, Mitchell Robinson

Miami Heat @ Washington Wizards
Vegas Total: NA
Vegas Spread: NA
Onto the main slate! Starting with the Heat, tell me if you’ve heard this before, but we need news on this team before we can fully break this team down. Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro both come into this one as questionable. Herro was initially listed as out but got an upgrade which bodes well for his odds of playing. That said, just keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed again here and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on who’s all impacted by whatever news we get. The one consistent piece we have is Jimmy Butler who is going to be in play regardless of who plays here, he dropped a 50 burger in this spot last time out and is a guy you can get to pretty comfortably. Kyle Lowry has been pretty consistent as of late but has had pieces missing around him in almost all these games, so if Bam and Herro are good to go here I’ll likely be underweight on him. Outside of those two, we’ll just need more news from this team so stay tuned! From the Wizards, the only news we’re waiting on is Daniel Gafford coming in as questionable, but Spencer Dinwiddie will return to the lineup here. Dinwiddie being back kind of takes me off this team as a whole in a tough matchup against this Heat defense that is one of the best in the league. I suppose you could get to Montrezl Harrell if Gafford were to miss or Bradley Beal in tournaments, but I have a feeling we’ll be able to find better spots on this slate.
5-star play: Jimmy Butler, Miami TBD
4-star play: Miami TBD, Bradley Beal, Montrezl Harrell
Deeper Value: Miami TBD
GPP Sleeper: Miami TBD, Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Kuzma
New Orleans Pelicans @ Indiana Pacers
Vegas Total: 211.5
Vegas Spread: Ind -7.0
Starting with the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has been fine as of late but I just think he’s overpriced right now. The matchup is nice but he hasn’t shown us that 50 point upside in a while-which is what you’re looking for in this price range. Jonas Valanciunas had a nice bounce-back game last night against the Clippers in 38 minutes. He gets another nice matchup here and someone I have no issue going right back to. Devonte’ Graham missed last night and comes into this one as questionable, Kira Lewis and Tomas Satoransky filled in for him last night with Lewis being the better fantasy producer. Keep an eye on the news for Graham as we get closer to lock, but these guys could be in line as good value options. Nickeil Alexander-Walker would be a guy I want as well, he can be volatile but in a matchup with a Pacers team that isn’t playing any defense, he’s a great tournament option with big upside. I’ll have some interest in Josh Hart as well, he’s going to play solid minutes even with Ingram back and has been a nice player from a production standpoint on the season. From the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon had a real stinker last night only playing 23 minutes, but this is a nice matchup and he was in good form in his previous games. Caris LeVert is a guy I would have a little more hesitancy on, however. He’s been held under 30 DraftKings points in four straight games including a 12 point fantasy night last night, he’s likely a fade or deep GPP guy at best for me. Domantas Sabonis was another guy who didn’t see a whole lot of run either, it seemed like the Pacers just went with the hot hand last night, I wouldn’t dig too much into it, he’s a fine option again here. We know what we’re getting when it comes to Myles Turner by now. We’ve seen the floor and we’ve seen the ceiling and there’s no way in really telling when we’re going to get either one, with that said he’s a solid GPP option in this matchup. Then you can round out the Pacers with TJ McConnell and Chris Duarte in tournaments.
5-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Malcolm Brogdon
4-star play: Brandon Ingram, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Josh Hart, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner
Deeper Value: Kira Lewis and Tomas Satoransky (if Graham is out)
GPP Sleeper: TJ McConnell, Chris Duarte, Myles Turner
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Boston Celtics
Vegas Total: 207.5
Vegas Spread: Bos -10.0
Starting with the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been a little more volatile as of late but is still a guy I’m okay getting to in tournaments due to the upside he brings to the table. Josh Giddey now has at least 30 FanDuel points in three straight games, and a guy I have no issue with him in cash games due to his ability to stuff the stat sheet. Then you can round this team out with Darius Bazley and Lu Dort as secondary tournament pieces. Also, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is an interesting value option if we don’t have anything open up on the slate, the Celtics aren’t a great rebounding team so he could be in for a good spot for cheap. From Boston, this is another case where we’ll need more news on the injury report with Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams coming in as questionable. I’m going to continue to operate as if Brown and Williams are out until they’re not due to the number of games they’ve missed now. That being said, Jayson Tatum should stand to benefit again and is on a bit of a heater right now. He has at least 57 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and should do whatever he wants in this spot against the Thunder. Al Horford has been good over his last three games and if Williams were to miss again he would benefit in the frontcourt against a weak Thunder defense. Then you can round the slate out with Dennis Schroeder and Marcus Smart as GPP options. Smart has been in good form as of late after starting the season a bit slow. I do like the price on Josh Richardson on DraftKings as well if Brown were to miss again.
5-star play: Jayson Tatum
4-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, Al Horford, Dennis Schroeder
Deeper Value: Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Josh Richardson
GPP Sleeper: Darius Bazley, Lu Dort, Marcus Smart
Charlotte Hornets @ Atlanta Hawks
Vegas Total: 227.5
Vegas Spread: Atl -6.5
Starting with the Hornets, LaMelo Ball continues to look pretty good on the court, but his price tag is hard to swallow. He’s finally getting 30+ minutes per night which helps big time, but $10.4k on DraftKings is tough. I like him a lot more on FanDuel where you’re getting him at under $9k. That said, he proved why he deserves that price tag last night with a 60 point fantasy night against the Pacers. Miles Bridges had a bit of a down game last night, but he’s been so consistent this season that I have no issue going right back to him in this spot. Gordon Hayward on the other hand is going to be GPP only for me, I can never get this cat right. I would have no issue getting to Terry Rozier though, he didn’t look great in limited time last night, but when he’s knocking down his shots he has big upside. Mason Plumlee will continue to be in play for me as a cheap center option for tournaments as long as PJ Washington is out. Lastly, you can make a case for Kelly Oubre for GPPs, but he’s been incredibly volatile this season. From the Hawks, it’s hard not to like the spot for Trae Young in a great matchup. He’s been held under 40 DraftKings points in each of his last two games but has big upside. Clint Capela is finally getting the minutes he deserves on this team with at least 32 minutes in five straight games and a guy I like a lot at this price tag against Plumlee and company down low. John Collins has been in good form as of late as well, but probably more of a GPP guy for me due to his volatility. I don’t think I’ve played Bogdan Bogdanovic once this season but the price tag is finally getting to a spot where I think I’ll get at least a little exposure in a nice matchup. Then you can round out the Hawks with Kevin Huerter as a value option, he’s pretty scoring dependant but has huge upside relative to his price tag.
5-star play: LaMelo Ball (FanDuel), Trae Young
4-star play: LaMelo Ball (DraftKings), Miles Bridges, Terry Rozier, Clint Capela, John Collins
Deeper Value: Kevin Huerter
GPP Sleeper: Gordon Hayward, Mason Plumlee, John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic
Orlando Magic @ Milwaukee Bucks
Vegas Total: 215.5
Vegas Spread: Mil -11.0
Starting with the Magic, Cole Anthony has been one of my favorite guys to watch this season, he has massive upside at a price range that you generally don’t see. He’ll have his hands full with Jrue Holiday and this Milwaukee defense tonight, but I’ll have some GPP exposure at the very least. Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. are similarly priced here, I don’t love the matchup but you can get to them due to the form they’ve been in. I would probably use Carter Jr. as the cash option and then take the volatility of Bamba and play him in GPPs. Then Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs are nice values in this one, Wagner has looked really good as of late and is a nice value option at the forward position. Suggs has at least 28 DraftKings points in back-to-back games as well and another piece where the price tag is probably too low. From the Bucks, Khris Middleton is going to continue to be a solid option in all formats. He really needs to shoot the lights out in order to hit his ceiling with Giannis in there, but he’s just so consistent that I think you can get there in all formats. Giannis Antetokounmpo just continues to crush everyone in his path, he now has at least 60 FanDuel points in five of his last eight games and the Magic will have no answer for him here. Jrue Holiday has been a consistent option as of late and I have no issue with him in any formats at his current price tag. Bobby Portis will continue to start at the five with Brook Lopez continued to be out and is a solid GPP play but his price has finally caught up to him. Then you can round this team out with Grayson Allen as a tournament option.
5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo
4-star play: Cole Anthony, Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Bobby Portis
Deeper Value: Jalen Suggs
GPP Sleeper: Mo Bamba, Bobby Portis, Grayson Allen
I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!
Memphis Grizzlies @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Vegas Total: 220.0
Vegas Spread: Min -2.5
Starting with the Grizzlies, it sounds like Dillon Brooks is going to miss this game which will open up a good amount of minutes on the wing for Memphis here. When Brooks was out earlier in the season we saw Desmond Bane and De’Anthony Melton take a lot of the production but with Melton out here we could be looking at more Kyle Anderson as well. Both Bane and Anderson are guys I’ll get a good amount of interest in here. Bane has a 28.2% usage rate and 1.00 fantasy points per minute with Melton and Brooks off the court this season. Ja Morant dropped 56.5 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and the matchup is great for him, he’s a guy I’ll have a good amount of exposure to particularly in GPPs tonight. I do like the spot for Jaren Jackson Jr. as well due to how weak the Wolves frontcourt is, but as you know by now, I fade him when he’s popular due to his foul trouble. If he comes in with a reasonable ownership projection, I’ll get some exposure for sure. Lastly, Steven Adams has been frustrating to roster all season, he’ll be just a GPP value center option for me here in a nice matchup. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns scored 51 DraftKings points in this matchup earlier this season, he’s a solid spend-up option tonight. Then we get to D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards who are kind of eating into each other’s usage right now. They’ve both been consistently in the 30-40 fantasy point range as of late, but neither has really popped off for a massive game. I would set a rule in the Domination Station to not pair them together. That said, they’re both solid options if you’re looking to get one or the other. Lastly, Patrick Beverley’s price tag is climbing a bit, so I’ll likely be even with the field on him, but he’s been producing nicely.
5-star play: Desmond Bane, Ja Morant, Karl-Anthony Towns
4-star play: Kyle Anderson, Jaren Jackson Jr., D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Steven Adams, Patrick Beverley
Utah Jazz @ Sacramento Kings
Vegas Total: 221.0
Vegas Spread: Utah -8.0
Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is in a great spot here and is averaging 50.9 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Kings this season. The same can be said for Rudy Gobert, he just seems a few hundred dollars too cheap right now. At the very least he’s a great cash option due to his consistency. Then Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic are fine secondary options. Conley is probably your cash guy where Bogdanovic is more of your GPP type play due to his shooting dependency. You can throw Jordan Clarkson and Royce O’Neale in that GPP category as well. From the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been fine this season but he hasn’t consistently put up those 40-50 point fantasy games like he’s priced for, so more of a GPP guy for me. Harrison Barnes seems like he’s overpriced now as well now that his production has come down to Earth since the start of the season. Richuan Holmes had a pretty terrible game last night along with the rest of this team, but this is a spot I’ll likely go elsewhere as he’ll have his hands full with Gobert down low. Tyrese Haliburton is a fine secondary option but isn’t in the greatest form over his past couple of games. Then Chimezie Metu is probably a guy I’ll go back to as well even in a tougher matchup here. He’s going to continue to start for the Kings and has produced nicely when given the minutes.
5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert
4-star play: Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic, De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Chimezie Metu
Deeper Value: Chimezie Metu
GPP Sleeper: Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Royce O’Neale
Philadelphia 76ers @ Portland Trailblazers
Vegas Total: 217.5
Vegas Spread: Por -6.0
We’ll round out the slate starting with the Sixers who will still be without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. I really like this spot for Tobias Harris, the Blazers don’t play much defense and he really benefits from Embiid being out but has been stuck in terrible matchups over his last two games. With Embiid and Simmons off the court last season Harris had a 31.3% usage rate and 1.31 fantasy points per minute. Andre Drummond has struggled in these tough matchups as well but should get back on the horse here and his price has come down a bit, I have no issue going back to him in all formats. Tyrese Maxey continues to produce but the price just seems about right on him right now, he’s a fine secondary option. Then you can round this team out with GPP guys like Seth Curry and Shake Milton. From the Blazers, Damian Lillard dropped 44.75 DraftKings points in this spot earlier in the season and is someone I don’t mind in cash games, but we just haven’t seen his ceiling yet this season to there in GPPs. CJ McCollum is a fine option as well, for some reason I just don’t get to him all that often, but won’t talk you off of him if you were to land on him here. I want to like Jusuf Nurkic here as I’ve been targeting big men against Drummond, but the minutes are just all over the place. He may make my the list on our Lotto Tickets section tonight in our NBA Cheat Sheets/Coaches Notes. Then you can round the Blazers out with GPP guys like Norman Powell and Larry Nance Jr. as a value guy, he’s been in pretty solid form as of late and has seen his minutes come up.
5-star play: Tobias Harris
4-star play: Andre Drummond, Tyrese Maxey, Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum
Deeper Value: Larry Nance Jr.
GPP Sleeper: Seth Curry, Shake Milton, Norman Powell, Larry Nance, Jusuf Nurkic

NBA Lock of the Day: Desmond Bane (DK – $4.5k; FD – $4.8k)
I mentioned Bane in my breakdown of the Grizzlies/Wolves game, but with Dillon Brooks and De’Anthony Melton out here, he’s going to have to play all the minutes he can handle. We saw him produce nicely earlier in the season with Brooks out and now with Melton out it just secures those minutes even more. With Brooks and Melton off the court this season, Bane has a 28.2% usage rate and 1.00 fantasy points per minute and gets a great matchup with the Wolves in this one. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
