Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
Indiana Pacers @ Charlotte Hornets
Vegas Total: 215.5
Vegas Spread: Cha -2.5
We’ll get this slate started with the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon gets a nice matchup here and we know he’s going to play a bunch of minutes, he’s a nice option in all formats. Caris LeVert is a guy I would have a little more hesitancy on, however. He’s been held under 30 DraftKings points in three straight games and probably only a tournament guy for me. Domantas Sabonis has seen his price fall below $9k on both sites now but for good reason, he hasn’t exactly been in the best form. I do like the matchup against this Hornets frontcourt, however. We know what we’re getting when it comes to Myles Turner by now. We’ve seen the floor and we’ve seen the ceiling and there’s no way in really telling when we’re going to get either one, with that said he’s a solid GPP option in this matchup. Then you can round out the Pacers with TJ McConnell and Chris Duarte in tournaments. McConnell would see a bump if Duarte were to miss this game, he comes in as questionable. From the Hornets, LaMelo Ball continues to look pretty good on the court, but his price tag isn’t one that I love. He’s finally getting 30+ minutes per night which helps big time, but $10.4k on DraftKings is tough. I like him a lot more on FanDuel where you’re getting him at under $9k. Miles Bridges scored 36 DraftKings points in this matchup last time these two met and is a guy that is going to play all the minutes he can handle. I like him in all formats with the consistency he’s shown this season. Gordon Hayward on the other hand is going to be GPP only for me, I can never get this cat right. I would have no issue getting to Terry Rozier though, the matchup is really nice for point guards and has shown a nice floor and ceiling this year. I had some sneaky interest in Mason Plumlee last time out and he was actually my Lotto Ticket – Play of the Day against the Wizards. With PJ Washington out his minutes become a bit more secure and a guy I’ll go back to in tournaments here. Lastly, you can make a case for Kelly Oubre for GPPs, but he’s just not a guy I think you need to get to on a slate of this size.
5-star play: LaMelo Ball (FanDuel)
4-star play: Malcolm Brogdon, Domantas Sabonis, LaMelo Ball (DraftKings), Miles Bridges, Terry Rozier
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Caris LeVert, Myles Turner, TJ McConnell, Gordon Hayward, Kelly Oubre, Mason Plumlee

Golden State Warriors @ Detroit Pistons
Vegas Total: 210.0
Vegas Spread: GSW -7.5
Starting with the Warriors, Steph Curry comes into this one as questionable on the back end of a back-to-back, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates regarding his status. For the sake of this article, I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s playing. He has at least 56 DraftKings points in four straight games but man his price is up there on both sites, but obviously, it’s warranted. Draymond Green has at least 30 FanDuel points in four straight games and is a guy I have no issue getting to in all formats given his ability to stuff the stat sheet. Then outside of those two, the rest of this team with guys like Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins will be deeper GPP guys on a slate of this size. From the Pistons, on the season Cade Cunningham has a 26.5% usage rate and 0.97 fantasy points per minute. He’s an excellent mid-range option here in a great matchup against the Warriors. Jerami Grant is probably the only other Pistons player I’ll have interest in from the Pistons due to the size of the slate. This spot actually sets up pretty well for him if the Warriors decide to go small, he has the size to slide over and play the five if need be. You can make a case for Saddiq Bey or even Isaiah Stewart due to the price tag, but they’re deeper GPP guys only on this slate. Stewart did bounce back nicely last time out and should have his minutes more secure with Olynyk out.
5-star play: Cade Cunningham
4-star play: Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Jerami Grant
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart
Los Angeles Lakers @ Boston Celtics
Vegas Total: 212.5
Vegas Spread: Bos -2.0
Starting with the Lakers, it sounds like LeBron James is going to be 50/50 on whether he plays tonight or not. For the sake of this article, I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s out until he proves me otherwise. Meaning, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and Carmelo Anthony will probably be my only targets from this game. Westbrook and Davis have been elite with LeBron off the court this season and are certainly in play here again. While Carmelo has a 19.7 % usage rate and 0.84 fantasy points per minute with LeBron off the court. Keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed as we get closer to lock for updates on the status of LeBron. From the Celtics, this is another case where we’ll need more news on the injury report with Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams coming in as questionable. I’m going to continue to operate as if Brown is out for the same reasons as I am with LeBron, I just need to see it first. That being said, Jayson Tatum should stand to benefit again and is coming off 57.25 DraftKings points against the Hawks. Al Horford has been good over his last two games and if Williams were to miss again he would benefit in the frontcourt. Then you can round the slate out with Dennis Schroeder and Marcus Smart as GPP options.
5-star play: Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum
4-star play: Al Horford, Carmelo Anthony
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Carmelo Anthony, Dennis Schroeder, Marcus Smart
Orlando Magic @ Brooklyn Nets
Vegas Total: 209.5
Vegas Spread: Bkn -12.5
Starting with the Magic, Cole Anthony has been a bit volatile this season but is a guy that you can like a lot for GPPs. He’s shown a massive ceiling that you won’t find too often in this price range. Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr. are similarly priced here, I don’t love the matchup but you can get to them due to the form they’ve been in. I would probably use Carter Jr. as the cash option and then take the volatility of Bamba and play him in GPPs. Then Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs are fine GPP darts in this one but again, we’re going to have a bunch of options on this slate so we can afford to be picky when it comes to our player pools. One thing to keep an eye on is Suggs comes into this one as questionable, so keep tabs on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding him. From the Nets, we kind of know who we’re targeting on this team and it’s going to be Kevin Durant and James Harden for the most part, but their price tags are definitely up there on DraftKings… who seems to have priced their studs through the roof again. I really like the Harden price tag on FanDuel however. With Joe Harris out you can make a case for Bruce Brown and Patty Mills again for tournament values. Mills is coming off a 29.5 point fantasy game last time out.
5-star play: Cole Anthony, James Harden (FanDuel)
4-star play: Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter Jr., James Harden (DraftKings), Kevin Durant, Patty Mills
Deeper Value: Bruce Brown, Patty Mills
GPP Sleeper: Franz Wagner, LaMarcus Aldridge, Blake Griffin
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Milwaukee Bucks
Vegas Total: 214.5
Vegas Spread: Mil -13.0
Starting with the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been a little more volatile as of late but dropped 45 DraftKings points on the Rockets last time out. This game should have a nice pace to it where I think he’ll benefit quite a bit, I like him in tournaments. Josh Giddey has bounced back nicely over his last two games after going on a bit of a cold run, I have no issue with him in cash games due to his ability to stuff the stat sheet. Then you can round this team out with Darius Bazley and Lu Dort as secondary tournament pieces. Dort will likely have his hands full as I would assume he gets the Middleton/Giannis assignment on defense. From the Bucks, Khris Middleton returned last game to play 30 minutes which makes me think he’s good to go and not on any sort of restriction, I’ll have no issue if you want to get some of him here. Giannis Antetokounmpo wasn’t slowed down by the return of Middleton as he dropped 66 DraftKings points on the Lakers last time out, he’s an elite play again, but you sure are paying through the nose for him. Jrue Holiday has been a consistent option as of late and I have no issue with him in any formats at his current price tag. Bobby Portis will continue to start at the five with Brook Lopez continued to be out and is a solid GPP play but his price has finally caught up to him. Then you can round this team out with Grayson Allen as a tournament option.
5-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokounmpo
4-star play: Josh Giddey, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Darius Bazley, Lu Dort, Bobby Portis, Grayson Allen
Los Angeles Clippers @ New Orleans Pelicans
Vegas Total: 215.5
Vegas Spread: Lac -3.5
Starting with the Clippers, the price tag came down on Paul George from what we saw last night, so I’ll get some exposure to him in a great matchup with the Pelicans here. I never really have an issue playing Reggie Jackson but I think the risk outweighs the reward more times than not. Eric Bledsoe has been in good form as of late before having a bit of a dud last night, I have no issue with him in GPPs in a revenge game for him. Ivica Zubac has been getting good minutes as of late which has helped him solidify a nice floor and ceiling, I like him in tournaments if you need a lower range center play. Nicolas Batum was ruled out last night and will continue tonight, we saw Amir Coffey get the start for him last night but didn’t do much in his 29 minutes. He’s played at least 25 minutes in back-to-back games and if you need a min priced punt I guess you can go here, but I don’t know that I would be all that thrilled about it. From the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has been fine as of late but I would imagine he gets the Paul George treatment on defense. Generally, I don’t take individual matchups on the outside into consideration all that much, but I’m just trying to talk myself out of Ingram, I don’t really have much interest here. Jonas Valanciunas hasn’t been in the greatest form as of late but gets a nice matchup here with this Clippers frontcourt, I have no issue with him in all formats. Then the backcourt can be split up I think, Devonte’ Graham is your cash option while Nickeil Alexander-Walker isn’t in the best form so I’ll leave him for GPPs. I’ll have some interest in Josh Hart as well, he’s going to play solid minutes even with Ingram back and has been a nice player from a production standpoint on the season.
5-star play: Paul George
4-star play: Reggie Jackson, Brandon Ingram, Jonas Valanciunas, Devonte’ Graham
Deeper Value: Amir Coffey
GPP Sleeper: Ivica Zubac, Eric Bledsoe, Luke Kennard, Terance Mann, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Josh Hart
I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!
Chicago Bulls @ Denver Nuggets
Vegas Total: 210.0
Vegas Spread: Den -3.5
Starting with the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic will continue to be out for them here meaning we will likely get Tony Bradley starting again, but he’s been less than impressive. I would consider him more of a GPP value than a cash guy at this point especially in a tough matchup with Jokic down low. The guys you want here are going to be DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, as they’ll pick up a lot of the offensive slack left with Vucevic out. With Vucevic off the floor this season, DeRozan has a 33.9% usage rate and 1.28 fantasy points per minute while LaVine is at a 34.8% usage rate and 1.18 fantasy points per minute, both are great options here. You can make a case for Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso in tournaments as well, both are in pretty good form coming into this one. From the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic is a human-wrecking ball right now with at least 52 DraftKings points in seven straight games and should be able to do whatever he wants against a frontcourt manned by Tony Bradley and company tonight. Aaron Gordon is probably too volatile for me to go to in cash, I tried that experiment yesterday and it wasn’t so pretty. That being said, he’ll have to play big minutes with Michael Porter Jr. continuing to be out. Will Barton is the guy that really steps up with Porter Jr. out, he dropped another 43 DraftKings points last night and has over a fantasy point per minute with Porter Jr. off the court this season. Monte Morris has been a solid option as well for the Nuggets, I have no issue with him as a secondary play. Then you can round this team out with Jeff Green who should continue to play around 30 minutes and is a fine value option, just don’t expect much of a ceiling from him.
5-star play: Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Jokic
4-star play: Tony Bradley, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, Aaron Gordon, Will Barton
Deeper Value: Tony Bradley, Jeff Green
GPP Sleeper: Aaron Gordon, Monte Morris, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso
Toronto Raptors @ Sacramento Kings
Vegas Total: 222.0
Vegas Spread: Sac -3.5
Starting with the Raptors, OG Anunoby is going to miss some time going forward and Precious Achiuwa is out for this game as well, opening up a good chunk of minutes in the Raptors frontcourt. Khem Birch looked good in 24 minutes last night and at the bare minimum on DraftKings, he’s going to be a guy I like a lot for value tonight in a great matchup. Pascal Siakam had a big ole dud last night, but a guy I have no issue going right back to here considering the matchup. Fred VanVleet is always a guy I’ll have at least a little exposure to due to his consistency and should see an increase in work on the outside with Anunoby out. Scottie Barnes and Gary Trent Jr. are both really solid mid-range options here as well and guys I’ll look to get to in a pace-up spot. From the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been fine this season but he hasn’t consistently put up those 40-50 point fantasy games like he’s priced for, so more of a GPP guy for me. Harrison Barnes seems like he’s overpriced now as well now that his production has come down to Earth since the start of the season. I do like Richuan Holmes here against this Raptors frontcourt however, he makes for a nice mid-range center option. Tyrese Haliburton was a guy I had a good amount of interest in last time out and he didn’t really impress much, I’m fine with him as a secondary option, however. Then Chimezie Metu was a popular value guy last time out but has since got his price increased. He’ll likely continue to start for the Kings and has shown to be a productive DFS option this season, so I have no issue going right back to him here.
5-star play: Khem Birch, Pascal Siakam
4-star play: Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent Jr., De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Richaun Holmes, Chimezie Metu
Deeper Value: Khem Birch
GPP Sleeper: Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield
Dallas Mavericks @ Phoenix Suns
Vegas Total: 212.0
Vegas Spread: Phx -8.0
We saw this matchup the last time these two teams played so we have somewhat of a reference point. We’ll start with Dallas where Luka Doncic will be out again meaning a bunch of usage is going to open up in this offense. We saw Kristaps Porzingis and Jalen Brunson have big games last time out and are guys I’ll go right back to here. With Luka off the court this season, Brunson has a 27.4% usage rate and 1.21 fantasy points per minute while Kristaps is at a 31.4% usage rate and 1.48 fantasy points per minute. Both guys are elite options here again tonight. I will say, the price on Kristaps is a bit harder to get to on FanDuel than on DraftKings where he’s $9k. Lastly, Tim Hardaway Jr. had a nice game last time out and will see a bump in opportunity as well and is a guy I like here to round out the Mavs. From the Suns, I had a bunch of interest in Deandre Ayton in this spot last time out and he looked solid going for 41 DraftKings points. I love targeting big men against this Dallas frontcourt and Ayton is a guy I’ll go back to here. Chris Paul and Devin Booker are both fine GPP options, but rarely guys I get to in cash when they’re both healthy, it’s just so hard to determine which guy will have the good fantasy night each day. Then you can round this Suns team out with GPP guys like Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder on the wing.
5-star play: Kristaps Porzingis (DraftKings), Jalen Brunson, Deandre Ayton
4-star play: Tim Hardaway Jr., Chris Paul, Devin Booker
Deeper Value: Trey Burke
GPP Sleeper: Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder

NBA Lock of the Day: Jalen Brunson (DK – $6.7k; FD – $6.5k)
I’m going to go right back to the well with Jalen Brunson here for the reasons I mentioned above with the Mavs breakdown. Luka Doncic is going to miss this game meaning all the usage in the world opens up for this Mavs offense. With Luka off the court this season, Brunson has a 27.4% usage rate and 1.21 fantasy points per minute and dropped 42 DraftKings points on the Suns last time out. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
