Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
Toronto Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers
Vegas Total: 213.5
Vegas Spread: Phi -2.0
We’ll kick today off with the Raptors, it sounds like Pascal Siakam will be rested here after playing 30 minutes last night, so this will open up those minutes in the frontcourt. Khem Birch will also be out here as well, so Precious Achiuwa should see all the minutes he can handle in this one. He has at least 25 minutes in three of his last four games and is a guy I’ll like at this price tag. OG Anunoby is still playing massive minutes but not in the best form over his last two and hasn’t gotten up the number of shots that we’re used to seeing this season. On a short slate, I have no issue going back to him here in hopes those come back up. The same can be said for Fred VanVleet and his price is up as well, he’s more of a secondary option for me here, but in play nonetheless. Lastly, Gary Trent Jr. is going to continue to be playable in all formats due to the minutes he’s playing it. I do think there’s a chance we could see a bigger role for Chris Boucher here as well if you want to take a chance at a massive ceiling on a short slate. From the Sixers, it will continue to be the Andre Drummond show with Joel Embiid still out. Both DraftKings and FanDuel did get his price up around $9k depending on the site. I do still think you can get to him here however, in the three starts with Embiid out he’s averaged 53.67 DraftKings points per game. With the Sixers being so shorthanded they’re going to need big minutes out of their main pieces. It sounds like there’s a chance Tobias Harris and Seth Curry could return here, but we would need news on that. That being said, keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates. Tyrese Maxey has played at least 37 minutes in five straight and had his best fantasy game of the season last time out. Meanwhile, Shake Milton got himself back into the starting lineup last time out. I have no issue going back to him again here especially if Harris and Curry are out again. Seth Curry is a fine mid-range option as well before you get to guys like Furkan Korkmaz and Georges Niang who are both firmly in play as well.
5-star play: Precious Achiuwa, Andre Drummond
4-star play: Shake Milton, Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry, Furkan Korkmaz, Georges Niang, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby
Deeper Value: Precious Achiuwa, Chris Boucher
GPP Sleeper: Gary Trent Jr., Shake Milton, Chris Boucher

Indiana Pacers @ Utah Jazz
Vegas Total: 219.0
Vegas Spread: Utah -9.0
Starting with the Pacers, Caris LeVert missed last night’s game and it may have just been a rest day as he was ramped up from his injury, but keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding him. Domantas Sabonis bounced back nicely last night with 51.25 DraftKings points but gets a tough matchup here with Rudy Gobert and company down low. The price tag has come back up on Malcolm Brogdon but for good reason, I have no issue with getting to him here especially if LeVert is forced to miss again. We know the deal with Myles Turner by now and that he’s a tournament-only option, but he’s been in pretty good form as of late with at least 37 FanDuel points in five of his last six games. Then you can round this team out with secondary options in Chris Duarte and TJ McConnell, both would see a nice bump if LeVert is out again here but again watch out for his status updates. From the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell had a nice bounce-back game last time out and gets a great matchup with a Pacers team that hasn’t stopped anyone this season. Rudy Gobert will continue to be a solid cash game option with fringe GPP upside, his minutes were down last time out but that was strictly due to being in foul trouble, so I’ll look over that. Mike Conley had a down game last time out as well but again I love this matchup for the Jazz, so he’ll be a guy that makes my player pool on a short slate. Then we get to the tournament guys in Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles, and Royce O’Neale. You’ll likely land on one or two of these guys due to the slate size, but I wouldn’t be too upset about it, they’re all fine for GPPs.
5-star play: Donovan Mitchell
4-star play: Caris LeVert, Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: TJ McConnell, Chris Duarte, Myles Turner, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles, Royce O’Neale
Miami Heat @ Los Angeles Clippers
Vegas Total: 213.5
Vegas Spread: Lac -2.5
We’ll round out the slate starting with the Heat heading into LA as underdogs. Partially because they’ll be without Jimmy Butler which is going to open up a bunch in this offense. Below is how the Heat operate with him off the court this season:
- Tyler Herro – 27% usage rate; 1.09 fpm
- Kyle Lowry – 16.2% usage rate; 1.03 fpm
- Bam Adebayo – 32.2% usage rate; 1.56 fpm (small sample size)
These would be the main guys I have interest in and as I noted, Bam Adebayo’s sample size is just 85 minutes, so I wouldn’t expect those types of numbers but he will see an increase with Butler out. You can expect some more shots and minute consistency for Duncan Robinson as well with both Butler and Morris out for the Heat, but he’s more of a tournament guy for me. From the Clippers, Paul George has been held under 50 DraftKings points in three straight games but is one of the top raw options on today’s slate, so he’s firmly in play here. Reggie Jackson has been in great form as of late with at least 31 DraftKings points in four straight games, he’s a solid option in a tougher matchup that losses a little shine with Butler and Morris out. Nicolas Batum should continue to start for Marcus Morris and has been performing well, he’s not a guy I generally get to but it’s hard to ignore his production over the past five games. Ivica Zubac had his minutes come down last time out to 24, if he sits in that 24-30 min range I would have a lot of interest, but the minutes are just going to be volatile on him. Serge Ibaka being back worries me a little bit regarding his minutes, but I have no issue going right back to the well on Zubac here. Speaking of Ibaka, he only played eight and five minutes in his first two games, he’s not in play until those minutes come back up to a decent range. Then you can round this team out with GPP guys like Terance Mann, Eric Bledsoe, and Luke Kennard in the backcourt.
5-star play: Paul George, Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo
4-star play: Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, Reggie Jackson, Nicolas Batum, Ivica Zubac
Deeper Value: Eric Bledsoe, Luke Kennard
GPP Sleeper: Duncan Robinson, Terance Mann, Eric Bledsoe, Luke Kennard
I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win last night. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!
