Detroit Pistons @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Spread: TBD
The Pistons already are dealing with a few injury issues, and Jerami Grant is the biggest name on that list. He missed last game which would open up more opportunities for Kelly Olynyk who has been really solid so far. Isaiah Stewart would also see a boost as well, as Beef Stew has looked really good to start the year as well. Saddiq Bey is also going to be one of their primary sources of scoring, and we’ve seen last year that he can light it up when he gets hot from behind the arc, he’s a guy I’ll take a few shots on in GPPs. Josh Jackson would also probably draw the start here if Grant was out, and he is a FPPM monster when he gets the minutes.
The big news will hinge on the health of Joel Embiid as he comes in with a Q tag again. However, he had the Q tag in the past two games and played in both, but it is still something to monitor. If he is out, then this’ll be the Tobias Harris show as Simmons is out again as well, and I’ll have increased shares of Tyrese Maxey and Seth Curry as well as both have been playing north of 35 minutes. Andre Drummond is also a GTD as well here, so if him and Embiid are both out here then you can fire up Georges Niang as he’ll be one of the few big men that the Sixers have left and he did play 20 minutes off the bench last game with Drummond out. Furkan Korkmaz has also been solid off the bench if you are looking to get different.
5-star play: Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris
4-star play: Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry, Kelly Olynyk, Saddiq Bey, Jerami Grant (if in)
Deeper Value: Georges Niang, Furkan Korkmaz, Josh Jackson
GPP Sleeper: Kelly Olynyk

Atlanta Hawks @ Washington Wizards
Vegas Total: 222
Vegas Spread: Atl -2
This’ll be a fast paced game, and even with the Wizards coming off a big win over the C’s, they should push the pace in this one. Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young has looked elite so far this year, and gets another great matchup here against the Wizards in what should be a pace up game. Bogdan Bogdanovic has also been solid to start the year, but he’s a bit pricey on both sites. John Collins is also a really nice mid-range play, but his upside is gonna be a bit limited as long as Clint Capela is healthy. De’Andre Hunter returned last game as well, he’s a solid value as he was a beast when healthy last year. Him being back does hurt both Cam Reddish and Kevin Huerter.
Now for the Wizards, Bradley Beal is gonna be the premier play, as he had a rough shooting night last night but should bounce back in this one. Spencer Dinwiddie has also been really good, he carried them late in that game last night. Montrezl Harrell has also been a beast coming off the bench, as he put up 25 points last night and he could be in store for another big game tonight. Kyle Kuzma is also looking really good to start the year, and Deni Avdija is building on a solid rookie season as well. Both are solid plays in their price range.
5-star play: Bradley Beal, Trae Young
4-star play: Clint Capela, John Collins, Spencer Dinwiddie, Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Kuzma
Deeper Value: Deni Avdija, Bojan Bogdanovic, Cam Reddish, Kevin Huerter
GPP Sleeper: De’Andre Hunter
New York Knicks @ Chicago Bulls
Vegas Total: 214
Vegas Spread: Chi -1.5
For the Knicks, they look very legit so far this year, led by their All-Star Julius Randle. He is a premier play here today, and he gets a great matchup here going up against Williams and Vuc. Evan Fournier has also been a great addition and R.J. Barrett is flat out solid like we’ve come to predict from him. Mitchell Robinson should also see solid minutes here as the Knicks still have a few injuries in their front court and he’s pretty cheap on both sites. If you’re looking for guys coming off the bench, Derrick Rose is one of the best in the business, and Obi Toppin has been showing why he was drafted early last year as well.
The Bulls are the last remaining unbeaten team in the east, with a 4-0 start. They’ve been led by Zach LaVine but he had an injury last game, so that’s a big injury to monitor if he were to miss this game. Nikola Vucevic would be the biggest beneficiary here, along with Lonzo Ball but either way both of them are solid plays at their price points. Patrick Williams isn’t a high usage guy here either but he should play heavy minutes if the Bulls go small. DeMar Derozan is also a solid option, and he would see a nice boost if LaVine were to miss this game as well.
5-star play: Julius Randle, Nikola Vucevic
4-star play: Lonzo Ball, DeMar Derozan, Evan Fournier, R.J. Barrett, Mitchell Robinson
Deeper Value: Derrick Rose, Patrick Williams, Obi Toppin
GPP Sleeper: Evan Fournier
Utah Jazz @ Houston Rockets
Vegas Total: 222.5
Vegas Spread: Uth -9.0
The Jazz will be led by Donovan Mitchell who is a nightmare to figure out in GPPs, but this is one of those games where he could go nuclear on a small slate and in one of the later games, he should be super low owned tonight. Rudy Gobert should also have to play big minutes here, as he’ll be the primary guy on Wood, and he could feast on the glass. Mike Conley is also rock solid, and should be able to get whatever he wants from Kevin Porter on the offensive side of the ball. Bojan Bogdanovic is also always in play for GPPs if he gets hot from 3, but with the Jazz fully healthy he’s not a guy I’m huge on. Jordan Clarkson is also always in play for GPPs with his ability to score off the bench, and he’s pretty cheap on both sites as well.
For the Rockets, Christian Wood should feast again here, and he’s still decently priced after that 60 burger he put up the other night and Gobert does allow a good amount of FPs to opposing bigs. Kevin Porter Jr. is going to be my other main target from this team, and he’s still decently priced as well, but he’s been inconsistent so far, however we know the upside is there but the matchup is tougher for him tonight. Jalen Green has looked every bit the part of the #2 pick as well and he’s pretty cheap but I’d like to see his minutes get north of 30 as well, he went crazy in their last game, so I wouldn’t pair him with KPJ. Jae’Sean Tate has also been playing very well, he’ll be virtually unowned and Eric Gordon is the guy who leads their second unit if you’re looking to get different in GPPs.
5-star play: Christian Wood, Donovan Mitchell
4-star play: Rudy Gobert, Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen Green, Mike Conley
Deeper Value: Jae’Sean Tate, Eric Gordon, Jordan Clarkson
GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson
San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: TBD
Starting with the Spurs, my favorite play here is going to be Derrick White, as this Mavericks frontcourt is not good defensively and FanDuel just refuses to raise his price despite great performances in each game. Dejounte Murray is also in a fine spot, but you have to pay up more for him here but he should be worth it. Keldon Johnson looks like he’s taken a nice step forward as well, but he can be a bit scoring dependent at times and he has a tougher matchup on his plate tonight with Dorian Finney-Smith. Jakob Poeltl will also need to play big minutes here, as he’s really the only guy they have that can stop KP downlow, but he’s been prone to foul trouble so far this year, so if you want to get really deep you can take a shot on Drew Eubanks as well. Bryn Forbes has also been seeing some decent minutes and he could be a factor for value in this one as well.
For the Mavericks, this is a great matchup for Luka Doncic as he should be able to get whatever he wants here, and with the Spurs new young core they should be able to keep pace in this game I believe. Kristaps Porzingis is finally healthy, but we’ve all been on that rollercoaster ride too many times before, but his price is enticing on FanDuel. Jalen Brunson has also been playing some heavy minutes off the bench, he’s a solid value and could come into play here with the blowout factor. Dorian Finney-Smith is also never fun to roster, but he is cheap on both sites.
5-star play: Luka Doncic, Derrick White
4-star play: Dejounte Murray, Keldon Johnson, Jakob Poeltl, Kristaps Porzingis
Deeper Value: Dorian Finney-Smith, Bryn Forbes, Jalen Brunson
GPP Sleeper: Jalen Brunson
Memphis Grizzlies @ Golden State Warriors
Vegas Total: 233
Vegas Spread: Gsw -5.5
The Grizzlies are on the final stretch of a brutal west coast road trip, and are coming off a tough loss to the Trailblazers last night and now have to travel back to California on the 2nd half of a B2B. I would think they’ll come out a bit flat here, but given this is the hammer game and its the highest total on the slate I’ll have some exposure here. The main target here is gonna be Ja Morant as he’s been elite so far this year, and looks to be making that jump to superstar. Jaren Jackson Jr. also has all the upside in the world and should benefit here from GS playing small. Steven Adams does not have a good matchup here as the Warriors will play small. Desmond Bane and De’Anthony Melton are also both great plays again here, as they play big minutes and DraftKings refuses to raise their prices for whatever reason. That’s about all I want from this Grizzlies team tonight.
The Warriors are getting healthy, as Stephen Curry is ready to go here to start the year, and with Klay Thompson out he should be in line for big time usage and he’s shown that over the first four games as he’s topped 50+ in each game so far this year. Draymond Green is also rock solid here, and contributes in all categories, so I prefer him more on FanDuel. James Wiseman is still out here as well, along with Jonathan Kuminga so Nemanja Bjelica and Kevon Looney will play the majority of those minutes to start. Otto Porter Jr. is a guy you can use to get different, as he is coming off the bench to start the year which does limit his upside a bit. Andrew Wiggins (who is never exciting to roster) and Curry will be the anchors in the front court. Jordan Poole is also going to have a big role here, but he hasn’t been great to start the year, but the break out game is coming and we saw glimpses of it last time out.
5-star play: Stephen Curry, Ja Morant
4-star play: Draymond Green, Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, De’Anthony Melton, Andrew Wiggins
Deeper Value: Jordan Poole, Nemanja Bjelica
GPP Sleeper: Jordan Poole, Desmond Bane
