Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Orlando Magic @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 210.0

Vegas Spread: Tor-8.0

We’ll start things off with probably the lowest implied total we’ve seen all season, but we’ll see what we can find from a DFS perspective. From the Magic, Cole Anthony has averaged 47 DraftKings points per game over his last three which has caused his price to shoot up. That said, It’s hard to ignore his production right now, I have no issue with him as a secondary option. It seems as if the Magic are going to have Mo Bama and Wendell Carter Jr. play next to each other a good bit this season. Both guys are interesting here, as I love targeting big men against this undersized frontcourt as well. I like Bamba’s fantasy production and upside a bit better, but both are in play again here. Then the last guy I really have any interest in is Jalen Suggs, he’s going to keep playing solid minutes for this team, but you can throw Franz Wagner in with him as guys that will probably be in play if you’re 150 entering. Lastly, I do like the price tag on Terence Ross for tournaments, but we know kind of know what you’re getting yourself into there. From the Raptors, Scottie Barnes bounced back nicely last time out with a 40 point fantasy night. I think you can go back to him here in a great matchup against a terrible defense. OG Anunoby now has at least 44 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and has been the model of consistency for the Raptors since the second half of last season, he’s in play in all formats as well. Fred VanVleet has at least 50 DraftKings points in the last two games, and same story here, the Magic are terrible on defense, although I do wish both teams played with a bit more pace. Lastly, Precious Achiuwa has at least 25 minutes in his last four straight games and is going to be a guy I continue to get to, I don’t think his price is up enough yet for how good he is from a point per minute perspective.

5-star play: OG Anunoby

4-star play: Cole Anthony, Mo Bamba, Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, Precious Achiuwa

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Wendell Carter Jr., Jalen Suggs, Terence Ross, Franz Wagner, Gary Trent Jr.

Indianapolis Pacers @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Pacers, Caris LeVert seems to be making progress and is listed as questionable coming into this one. I’m still expecting he’s out, but if he does play it’s likely that he’s on a pretty firm minutes restriction so he would be a fade at this price tag but would impact these other wing guys more than anything. Just keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding this situation, for the sake of this article I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s still out. We do have some other big news with the Pacers, however, and it’s that Malcolm Brogdon has been ruled out which will open up a bunch of minutes and usage in this backcourt. Below is how the Pacers operated with Brogdon off the court last season:

Obviously, Chris Duarte wasn’t on the team last year so we won’t have numbers on him, but you can assume he will see an uptick in shots and opportunities as well. I would expect TJ McConnell to slide into the starting lineup for Brogdon and immediately becomes a great option in the mid-range. From the Nets, we kind of know the deal by now that Kyrie Irving is going to continue to be out for them,  it’s going to be hard not to just go right back to Kevin Durant and James Harden. Harden hasn’t looked all that great from his standards to start the season. He’s not getting the foul calls he’s used to and I think it’s in his head a bit. Although a 28.0% usage rate and 1.23 fantasy points doesn’t sound all that terrible, which is what he’s at currently. Durant is boat racing him with ha 32.8% usage rate and 1.54 fantasy points per minute on the season. If you have the extra money, I would get to Durant but still think they’re both solid options even in a tough matchup. Outside of them there really isn’t much that you need to prioritize from this team, they’re more GPP darts than anything. One thing I will say about Harden is he’s under $10k on DraftKings and the Pacers have been getting absolutely toasted by opposing guards this season.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis, TJ McConnell, Chris Duarte, Kevin Durant, James Harden

4-star play: Jeremy Lamb, Myles Turner

Deeper Value: Jeremy Lamb

GPP Sleeper: Jeremy Lamb, Joe Harris, Patty Mills

Charlotte Hornets @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Hornets, Terry Rozier comes into this one as questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for an update surrounding him. That being said, until we see him active, I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s out. Miles Bridges is on an absolute tear right now and has at least 37 FanDuel points in each game this season. I do like the price tag a bit more on DraftKings, but I’m really not sure how much I’ll get to of him in a tough matchup with the Heat. Ish Smith has picked up some of the slack with Rozier out playing around 20 minutes per night, but on a bigger slate, I imagine we will have better value than him. LaMelo Ball has the largest ceiling on this team and is a guy I’m good with at a fair price tag as well. We did see a floor game from him last time out but played just 24 minutes, I have no issue overlooking that if the field is going to be too low on him. Lastly, Gordon Hayward and Mason Plumlee are solid secondary GPP pieces, Hayward bounced back nicely last time out, I just don’t know how much I love the matchup. From the Heat, Jimmy Butler now has at least 56 FanDuel points in back-to-back games and gets a great matchup in this one. I would prefer is DraftKings price tag but wouldn’t talk you off of him if you want to play him over on FanDuel. Tyler Herro had his worst game of the season last time out but it was due to a bad shooting night where he shot 16% from three and 29% from the field. If people are going to be off of him here I have no issue grabbing him at lower ownership. This leads me to Kyle Lowry, he’s more of a floor manager on this team, I’ll make him prove me wrong, which he hasn’t yet before I go back to him. I do like targeting big men against this Hornets team. Bam Adebayo is a guy I’ll get some exposure to here as well. He’s always got a nice floor and the upside is certainly there in this spot. Then you can round this team out with Duncan Robinson as a GPP dart.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Miles Bridges, LaMelo Ball

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, Ish Smith, Gordon Hayward, Mason Plumlee

Sacramento Kings @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: 219.5

Vegas Spread: Sac -2.0

Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox hasn’t started the season all that great but I do like this spot as a “get right” game for him against a young Pelicans frontcourt. We know the ceiling is there on him, so I’ll probably shoot for him in GPPs, but if you land on him in single entry, I have no issue with it. Then we get to the group of Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield, and Tyrese Haliburton who are all solid secondary options. Barnes is going to be your most consistent and has started the season really well but will also be the most expensive. Then, Richaun Holmes owns this frontcourt right now with Marvin Bagley essentially being out of the picture. He has at least 35 DraftKings points in three of their first four games this season, but I like the DraftKings price tag much more, I don’t know that I would go to him on FanDuel at an elevated price. From the Pelicans, Jonas Valanciunas kept his heater going last time out against the Hawks going for 43.75 DraftKings points. The price is way up on him but for good reason, he’s a solid secondary play after the price boost but comes with a massive ceiling. Devonte’ Graham continues to look good as well and in a great matchup is a guy I like to get to here. With Zion off the court last season, Brandon Ingram was the guy you wanted with a 31.7% usage rate and 1.25 fantasy points per minute, he’s been consistent to start the season and gets a great matchup here. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a guy I’ll go back to in this one as well, I love targeting him in fast-paced games due to the amount he shoots. He had a floor game last time out but was due to a poor shooting night where he went 0-7 from three and 3-14 from the field, that will regress in a good way if people are going to be off of him in tournaments.

5-star play: Devonte’ Graham, Brandon Ingram

4-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes (DraftKings)

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton, Jonas Valanciunas, Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Dallas Mavericks @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Mavericks, we will need to keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed with Kristaps Porzingis coming into this one as questionable. He missed yesterday’s game which allowed Maxi Kleber to have his best game of the season at 45 DraftKings points. A lot of that was due to having six blocks, but that equity shoots up when he’s playing more due to the injury. If Kristaps is forced to miss again he would be a really solid value option along with Dwight Powell, as they’ll need all the bigs they have to keep Nikola Jokic down. With Kristaps off the court this season, Luka Doncic has a 36.5% usage rate and 1.54 fantasy points per game, he would be a guy I go right back to even after a down game last night. Then the last two pieces I’ll have interest in from the Mavs are Tim Hardaway for tournaments and Jalen Brunson continues to produce at a nice price tag for cash games. From the Nuggets, this is another case where we’ll need to keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed, as Nikola Jokic comes into this one as questionable. I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s in for the sake of the article, but the Breaking News Feed will have you updated with all the guys that benefit from him out if that is the case. He’s a great play against a weak Dallas frontcourt if he’s able to go. Michael Porter Jr. looked pretty good last time out but still hasn’t found his shooting stroke, he’s on the verge of having a massive game, and think this could be the spot. The rest of this team is just tournament options for me with guys like Aaron Gordon and Will Barton but would change if Jokic were to get ruled out.

5-star play: Maxi Kleber (assuming Kristaps is out), Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr.

4-star play: Tim Hardaway, Jalen Brunson, Aaron Gordon, Will Barton

Deeper Value: Maxi Kleber

GPP Sleeper: Tim Hardaway, Aaron Gordon, Will Barton

Los Angeles Clippers @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Clippers, Paul George has been held under 40 DraftKings points in back-to-back games, but in a great matchup I have no issue getting back to him here, should continue to thrive with Kawhi Leonard out. With Kawhi off the court last season George had a 35.1% usage rate and 1.32 fantasy points per minute. Eric Bledsoe has had back-to-back down games as well, but again, I love this matchup and a guy I’ll go right back to in this one especially with Morris out as well. With Marcus Morris out for the Clippers, we should see guys like Terance Mann, Luke Kennard, and Nicolas Batum see an increase in opportunities, my favorite of the group being Mann and Kennard, as they’re a bit more aggressive on offense. Batum will likely get the start and looked solid last time out going for 26.8 FanDuel points. From the Blazers, Damian Lillard bounced back a little last time out against the Grizzlies but has yet to get over 50 fantasy points this season. That being said, man, the FanDuel price is getting hard to ignore at $8.4k, I’ll list him as an elite play over there and just deal with it if he has another bad shooting game. Jusuf Nurkic bounced back nicely last time out and is a guy I’ll get to here. I love targeting big men against this Clippers frontcourt when the first line of defense is Ivica Zubac. CJ McCollum has started the season sneaky well and taken a lot of that production from Dame, I have no issue going right back to him in this spot but probably more of a secondary option.

5-star play: Paul George, Damian Lillard (FanDuel), Jusuf Nurkic

4-star play: Eric Bledsoe, Terance Mann, Nicolas Batum

Deeper Value: Terance Mann, Nicolas Batum, Nassir Little (if Powell is out)

GPP Sleeper: Ivica Zubac, Nassir Little (if Powell is out)

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

This is a game we’re going to need to watch the Breaking News Feed on. We saw LeBron James sit the past two nights and comes into this one as questionable, so keep an eye on that. Anthony Davis is listed as probable so we should be good with him in this spot and would be an elite play even after disappointing with James out last time. If James sits again we can go right back to the Russell Westbrook well as he continues to look great with James off the floor this season. My advice would be to keep an eye on the injury report today as well as that Breaking News Feed, we’ll make sure to have all the info you need in this one. From the Cavs, Darius Garland and Collin Sexton haven’t done much this season that has really jumped off the page to me. The price tags are down relative to where they were last year and to start the season, so if you want to take a shot in GPPs you can, but I’ll likely be underweight in cash games. Ricky Rubio slid back to the bench with Garland back and lost some of those starter’s minutes, and at this price tag probably not a guy I’ll get to on a big slate. Jarrett Allen had a down game last time out against the Clippers, but they’ll need his size in this one to help battle with Davis down low. Evan Mobley is the guy I’m going to keep looking toward in this frontcourt. The rookie has looked more than legit to start the season and feels like there is still some meat on the bone at his current price tag. Lastly, Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Love are more of GPP type plays for me with Markkanen being closer to the cash game fringe due to his production and minutes security early on this season.

5-star play: Lakers TBD

4-star play: Lakers TBD, Darius Garland, Collin Sexton, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen

Deeper Value: Lakers TBD

GPP Sleeper: Lakers TBD, Lauri Markkanen, Kevin Love

I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win last night. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!
