Indiana Pacers @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Now for the Pacers, it looks like the only injury news we’ll be waiting on here is Malcolm Brogdon and Jeremy Lamb who both come in as questionable here. I’m going to operate under the assumption that they play for the sake of this article. I like this game quite a bit for fantasy purposes, both teams have played really fast and loose this season, so there should be plenty of scoring opportunities here. Domantas Sabonis is a great play here, as he will have a ton of usage if Brogdon were to miss again as Turner is already out. Caris LeVert has been in good form as well, but I would prefer Brogdon to be out for me to go all that heavy on him due to the price tag he’s carrying. It seems like Oshae Brissett is going to hold onto that starting role, as Goga Bitadze played very sparingly the other night even though he was healthy. Now for the Cavaliers, Darius Garland is going to miss this one meaning Sexton should see a nice boost in the backcourt. Collin Sexton has a 30.3% usage rate and 1.12 fantasy points per minute with Garland and Nance off the court this season but I do like his price a bit more on FanDuel. I am okay getting to some Jarrett Allen as well here, the Mavericks don’t exactly have a great interior defense. Kevin Love has at least 35 DraftKings points in two of his last three games and a guy I like getting to in GPPs. Then you can round this team out with Isaac Okoro and Cedi Osman, Osman has more upside but Okoro’s minutes are more locked in, Osman also missed yesterday so that is something to keep an eye on as well.
5-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Collin Sexton
4-star play: Kevin Love, Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert, Malcolm Brogdon (if in)
Deeper Value: Isaac Okoro, Dean Wade, Oshae Brissett
GPP Sleeper: Isaac Okoro, Caris LeVert
Washington Wizards @ Atlanta Hawks
Vegas Total: 236.5
Vegas Spread: Atl -7.5
Starting with the Wizards, Russell Westbrook just keeps going, as he triple doubled again the other night and I don’t see him slowing down as the Wizards have jumped close to the 8 seed and are looking to sneak in to the play in tournament. Bradley Beal has been ruled out for the next 2 games, so this makes Westbrook a priority on both sites, especially DraftKings where he is still only 11K. The Wizards are generally pretty easy to break down because it’s pretty much those two studs and then a bunch of dart throw GPP guys. But with Beal out, we can go to a few different guys as Raul Neto has been starting and will see a bigger role with Beal out, and if Rui Hachimura suits up for this one he’ll be a premier play as well. My favorite being that center position with guys like Daniel Gafford, Alex Len, and Davis Bertans if they go small. That being said, it’s pretty clear Gafford is the guy as he’s the most talented of that bunch. Now for the Hawks, they’re beginning to get a bit healthier with Trae Young back and Bogdan Bogdanovic as those two have made a stellar combo when they are on the floor together. It’s a nice matchup for both of them due to the defense that the Wizards have been playing, I don’t exactly love the price tag on Bogdanovic with Young in there but he’s proved he can be successful still, so no complaints. John Collins is more of a GPP guy due to his volatility but this is the type of game where I like to target him, still more of a tournament guy though. Clint Capela is a fine option but he hasn’t been great, but the Wizards have been getting killed by bigs all year long. Lastly, Kevin Huerter makes for a solid filler piece in GPPs if you happen to land on him, but not a guy I’m prioritizing.
5-star play: Russell Westbrook
4-star play: Trae Young, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Rui Hachimura, Clint Capela, John Collins
Deeper Value: Kevin Huerter, Raul Neto, Daniel Gafford, Alex Len, Davis Bertans
GPP Sleeper: Rui Hachimura, Raul Neto
New Orleans Pelicans @ Memphis Grizzlies
Vegas Total: 222
Vegas Spread: Cha -4
Starting with the Pelicans, the big news here is that Zion is going to miss this game as is out for the foreseeable future with that finger fracture, and Brandon Ingram is doubtful again so this opens up a lot for the Pels in terms of usage, it breaks down like this:
Eric Bledsoe: 24.4% usage rate; 0.95 FPPM
Lonzo Ball: 28.9% usage rate; 1.28 FPPM
Willy Hernangomez: 22.4% usage rate; 1.39 FPPM
Jaxson Hayes: 22.7% usage rate; 1.32 FPPM
I would think that the Pels want to continue to get their younger guys some experience, so I’d roll with Jaxson Hayes over James Johnson once again here, and we even saw Eric Bledsoe come back to life yesterday as well, he’ll be a strong GPP play here tonight. From the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has cooled down a bit from about 2 weeks ago when he was dropping 60 point games left and right but he’s still been good, I just think the price is a bit too high for my liking on DK, but on FanDuel he is very much in play at that tag given the matchup against this bad Pelicans defense. Jonas Valanciunas has a great matchup here as well, as he’s been playing really well and the Pelicans. If Grayson Allen ends up missing we can go back to guys like De’Anthony Melton and secures the minutes on Dillon Brooks and Kyle Anderson a bit.
5-star play: Ja Morant, Jonas Valanciuanas
4-star play: Jaxson Hayes, Eric Bledsoe, Dillon Brooks, Kyle Anderson, Lonzo Ball, Willy Hernangomez
Deeper Value: Jaxson Hayes, Willy Hernangomez
GPP Sleeper: Jaxson Hayes
Milwaukee Bucks @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 233.5
Vegas Spread: Mil -6.5
Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo should be able to do whatever he wants in this one, he will be your pivot off of Westbrook in GPPs as both guys could be the top scorer on this slate. Khris Middleton has been really good as of late and scoring much better from the field, I have no issue getting to him here. Jrue Holiday has been a bit more volatile, but he’s still going to play a ton of minutes, similar to Middleton, no issue with getting to him in what should be a great game. Bobby Portis returned last night to play just 16 minutes, but I think that was more due to game flow and the Bucks wanting PJ Tucker’s defense out there, he’s still probably too expensive for my liking here. Lastly, a guy I do like quite a bit is Donte DiVincenzo, his price has fallen too far, and coming off a nice performances the past few games. Now for the Spurs, DeMar DeRozan has elite usage in this offense, and if this game is going to stay close it’ll be because of him. Jakob Poeltl had to deal with Rudy Gobert over the past two games, so this will be a nice relief for him, I like going back to him here especially after he put up 40 FPs the other night. Keldon Johnson came back to Earth last time out, we kind of know the story on him by now, he’s going to be a highly volatile player, so GPP only. Lastly, Lonnie Walker is a solid value option if you need one, his minutes should be pretty secure with Derrick White out for the remainder of the season as he has been starting.
5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo
4-star play: DeMar Derozan, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Jakob Poeltl
Deeper Value: Keldon Johnson, Lonnie Walker, Donte DiVincenzo
GPP Sleeper: Donte DiVincenzo
Utah Jazz @ Golden State Warriors
Vegas Total: 226.5
Vegas Spread: Uth -3
From the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley will continue to be out for this team. Rudy Gobert should have a field day against this Warriors interior, the floor is safe for him in cash games tonight. Jordan Clarkson will continue to be a solid option, I just don’t love the price tag, but he feels pretty safe and has a solid ceiling with Mitchell and Clarkson off the court. Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles have been the guys to own lately, they’re both in really good form, and guys you can get to here while Royce O’Neale is more of a GPP guy. Now for the Warriors, Kelly Oubre is likely going to continue to be out here, so let’s run some numbers with Oubre off the court this season:
- Stephen Curry – 35.5% usage rate; 1.58 fpm
- Andrew Wiggins – 22.3% usage rate; 0.87 fpm
- Draymond Green – 13.2% usage rate; 1.07 fpm
- Kent Bazemore – 18.2% usage rate; 0.87 fpm
- Jordan Poole – 27.7% usage rate; 1.1 fpm
Curry and Green both went over the 60 point threshold on DraftKings the other night and are guys you can go right back to in this one. As a whole I think you can target the Warriors a decent amount, and we have one of the higher totals on the night, and this should be one of the more competitive games on the night as well.
5-star play: Stephen Curry, Draymond Green
4-star play: Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic, Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles, Andrew Wiggins
Deeper Value: Kent Bazemore, Royce O’Neale, Jordan Poole
GPP Sleeper: Jordan Poole, Jordan Clarkson
Houston Rockets @ Portland Trail Blazers
Vegas Total: 238
Vegas Spread: Por -15
Starting with the Rockets, yikes… I’m going to throw this one to our Breaking News Feed, it’s really hard to break this team down right now with Christian Wood, Kelly Olynyk, Jae’Sean Tate, and Danuel House all listed as questionable with Kevin Porter Jr and Eric Gordon already out. We just need some news here before we can really dig into this team, so keep an eye on the status of these guys. However, if Kelly Olynyk is in then he is going to be a premier play for me in all formats as he has been putting up 50 burgers left and right. From the Blazers, they need to win this game to hold off the Lakers, Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are going to play all the minutes they can handle, they’re both great options here, they’re both cheaper on FanDuel as well if you’re looking to go heavier over there and if this game stays close it just increases their ceilings even more. The minutes on Jusuf Nurkic seem like they’re going to be in the lower 20’s more often than not, so he’s more of a GPP guy, but if they want to win, they’ll run him out there especially if they find themselves behind at any point. Then you can round this team out with Norman Powell as a tournament-type player.
5-star play: Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Kelly Olynyk (if in)
4-star play: Jusuf Nurkic, Norman Powell
Deeper Value: Rockets value…TBD
GPP Sleeper: TBD
