Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
I want to give a quick shoutout to VIP Member “TheSoprano12” on their $100,000 win earlier this season!! Better go buy a Boban jersey after that one!
Dallas Mavericks @ Detroit Pistons
Vegas Total: 215.5
Vegas Spread: Dal -8.5
We’ll kick the slate off with the Mavericks, we’re going to need some news around this team as Luka and Kristaps both come in as questionable along with Dorian Finney-Smith and Josh Richardson. For the moment I’ll operate under the assumption that they both play, but keep an eye on that Breaking News Feed. Luka Doncic is in better form over the past week or two which is nice to see. If Kristaps Porzingis were to miss Luka would jump into elite play territory if he isn’t already there. I do have a little more interest in some of the other guys on this team than I normally would if Josh Richardson were to miss. I loaded up on Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jalen Brunson in this spot last night, so I think you can go right back to them in a fast-paced game against the Warriors in this one. From the Pistons, they’ll be without Jerami Grant, Mason Plumlee, and Cory Joseph here. Meaning we can go right back to guys like Isaiah Stewart, Josh Jackson, Saddiq Bey, and Killian Hayes. If we run some data with these three off the court over the past four weeks, here’s what we’re looking at:
- Josh Jackson – 34.0% usage rate; 1.33 fpm
- Isaiah Stewart – 17.1% usage rate; 1.20 fpm
- Killian Hayes – 20.5% usage rate; 1.00 fpm
- Saddiq Bey – 18.8% usage rate; 0.83 fpm
These guys would pretty easily be my favorite targets from the Pistons and we’ve seen them be really good with these main guys off the court since the All-Star break.
5-star play: Luka Doncic, Isaiah Stewart, Josh Jackson
4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway, Killian Hayes, Saddiq Bey
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Jalen Brunson, Frank Jackson
Brooklyn Nets @ Indiana Pacers
Vegas Total: 238.0
Vegas Spread: Bkn -9.5
This game has a massive implied total, as both teams want to push it and are going to look to score more than they necessarily care about defense this time of year. We’ll start with the Nets, Kyrie Irving had a dud last time out but still saw 35 minutes, I like the price slightly better on DraftKings, but due to the matchup, you can get there on both sites. Kevin Durant, you can make a case for on both sites, he played 33 minutes last time out and is starting to look like himself again. He’s more expensive on FanDuel but he helps fill a tough SF position. Outside of those two, it’s going to be tough for me to get much else from this game unless you want to take a flyer on guys like Joe Harris or Landry Shamet in hopes they can get hot from deep. You can make a case for DeAndre Jordan as well with Nic Claxton still out. From the Pacers, Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis will continue to be out here opening up a bunch of minutes in the frontcourt. Goga Bitadze will start at center, but he’s also questionable and missed the last game, so we’ll need news on him, he’s a solid value option if he ends up playing. If he’s out again we can fire up Oshae Brissett. He’s coming off a 40-minute game where he dropped 49 DraftKings points, tough not to like him here. Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert are going to eat up all the usage on this team with those guys out, I would prefer Brogdon in all formats, but LeVert has a nice ceiling for GPPs, his floor just isn’t as good. Lastly, TJ McConnell is always in play for GPPs in hopes he can grab a bunch of steals/blocks.
5-star play: Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Malcolm Brogdon
4-star play: Joe Harris, Caris LeVert, Oshae Brissett, TJ McConnell
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Landry Shamet, DeAndre Jordan, TJ McConnell

Milwaukee Bucks @ Houston Rockets
Vegas Total: 232.0
Vegas Spread: Mil -12.5
Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo has bounced back as of late and has at least 60 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. He should do whatever he wants in this one, but the blowout concern does worry me, they do not need to push him at all here. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton will go back to the backseat now that Giannis seems like he’s fully back, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, they both are still solid plays especially on a six-game slate. Then the trio of Brook Lopez, Donte DiVincenzo, and Bobby Portis are GPP guys that you can get to here, but nobody that I’m making a priority. If you really want to get wild for GPPs, Pat Connaughton as well, but we’ve gotten enough value to open up over the past few weeks that I doubt we’ll need him here, but he’s one of the blowout proof guys. From the Rockets, it sounds like John Wall will be out for the rest of the season and Eric Gordon seems like he’s been out most of the season, so let’s run some data with these guys off the court:
- Kelly Olynyk – 23.7% usage rate; 1.15 fpm
- Jae’Sean Tate – 19.9% usage rate; 1.03 fpm
- Kevin Porter Jr – 26.2% usage rate; 1.05 fpm
- Christian Wood – 25.7% usage rate; 1.14 fpm
These would be my main four guys to target from Houston. It is a nice pace-up spot for the Rockets against a Bucks team that likes to run and gun, so these guys are nice options with Wall and Gordon out.
5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Christian Wood
4-star play: Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, Kelly Olynyk, Kevin Porter Jr.
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Donte DiVincenzo, Jae’Sean Tate, Kelly Olynyk
Golden State Warriors @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Vegas Total: 234.5
Vegas Spread: GSW -5.5
Starting with the Warriors, Steph Curry is averaging 45 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Wolves this season, I have no issue going to him again in this spot. I like him a lot on FanDuel where he’s cheaper than Kyrie Irving. Draymond Green is a solid option as well, if he could run into some points every now and then he would put up some monster numbers. He’s called short on a triple-double in the past two games because he’s not scoring enough… that’s generally not the case for NBA players. Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre are solid wing options here as well, they’ve looked good as of late and are playing huge minutes right now as Kerr has tightened his rotation up. Lastly, I don’t hate getting to Jordan Poole if you happen to land on him as a last piece in. This is a great matchup against a bad Wolves team and has an implied total up near that Bucks game and that Nets game. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns should be able to do whatever he wants in this spot, this Warriors defense and frontcourt are not good at the moment. He’s cooled down a bit over his last four or so games, but I still love him in this spot. Anthony Edwards has bounced back over his last two games and is a guy you can get to here as well, I like him a bit more of GPPs just because he can be a bit volatile with D’Angelo Russell back in there. Speaking of Russell, I’m just going to continue to go back to him until the price gets to where it should be. Finch said he’s capable of playing big minutes and expects him to rejoin the starting lineup at some point. If he slides into the starting lineup I’ll love him, but he’s a good play regardless. Lastly, Ricky Rubio is a fine filler piece if you need one.
5-star play: Steph Curry, Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell
4-star play: Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre, Anthony Edwards
Deeper Value: Jaden McDaniels
GPP Sleeper: Jordan Poole, Ricky Rubio, Jaden McDaniels
New Orleans Pelicans @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Vegas Total: 229.5
Vegas Spread: Nop -8.5
Starting with the Pelicans, Zion Williamson has been pretty bad over his past two games. I like him slightly better on FanDuel, but on a six-game slate, I think you can make a case for him in GPPs. Brandon Ingram is a fine option but not someone I generally get to. I like him a bit more on FanDuel due to the price and the position scarcity. Lonzo Ball is coming off a massive game last night where he went for 65.5 DraftKings points and finally showed that triple-double upside. You can keep riding his little hot streak here. Lastly, Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams are fine secondary filler options if you happen to land on them. Not really guys that I’m looking to prioritize though. It’s worth noting that Steven Adams left yesterday’s game, so we can go right to Willy Hernangomez if he ends up sitting. From the Thunder, Lu Dort just continues to look good from a fantasy perspective. It’s tough not to like him here in a great matchup against a bad Pelicans defense. Darius Bazley has looked pretty good over his last handful of games, but I like the price tag much better on DraftKings. Theo Maledon has been pretty uninteresting but on a six-game slate, he makes for a fine filler option. Moses Brown has seemingly disappeared since signing that multi-year contract with the Thunder, he’s a deep MME guy for just because we know the ceiling is there somewhere. Isaiah Roby has been grabbing some of those Brown minutes and has looked pretty good as of late, I would rather take the chance on him and he doesn’t use up a center spot.
5-star play: Zion Williamson, Willy Hernangomez (if starting)
4-star play: Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Darius Bazley, Lu Dort
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Eric Bledsoe, Moses Brown, Isaiah Brown, Theo Maledon
Toronto Raptors @ Denver Nuggets
Vegas Total: 224.0
Vegas Spread: Den -4.0
Starting with the Raptors, Pascal Siakam gets a tough matchup here as he’ll have to deal with Jokic on the interior. That said, he’s going to continue to play big minutes and is worth a look on a short slate. Fred VanVleet and Kyle Lowry are pretty similar plays in my eyes, however, the price differential on them is much greater on FanDuel. VanVleet is $1400 more than Lowry on FanDuel, as where they’re just $700 apart on DraftKings. Love the price on VanVleet on DraftKings, and Lowry on FanDuel, you can kind of split up your ownership based on the site. OG Anunoby continues to be a consistent option on the wing, the Nuggets have struggled with opposing wings this season as well, so I have no issue going right back to him here. Lastly, Khem Birch has looked great and has at least 32 minutes in two of his last three games. He’s a guy the Raptors are going to want to see toward the end of the season, FanDuel changed his eligibility to C, which kind of sucks, but he’s a fine secondary option if you need a spend-down guy. From the Nuggets, Will Barton will continue to be out here which will open minutes for some of these ancillary guys including Facundo Campazzo. Campazzo has been pretty solid as of late if you’re looking for a mid-range guy in a great matchup. We should expect to see big minutes from Austin Rivers and PJ Dozier as well. The spend-up guys on this team are going to be Michael Porter Jr. and Nikola Jokic, they’re both great plays in a good matchup. The Raptors are not a good defense so you can fire these guys up in all formats.
5-star play: Nikola Jokic
4-star play: Fred VanVleet, Kyle Lowry, OG Anunoby, Khem Birch, Michael Porter Jr.
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Facundo Campazzo, PJ Dozier
