Los Angeles Lakers @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 204

Vegas Spread: Mia -8

This is going to be the lowest total on the night by far, and I honestly wouldn’t hate a complete fade here. Both these teams play very slow so there isn’t a ton to get excited about. Starting with the Lakers, it looks like LeBron and AD will still be out here so that puts the scoring load on both Dennis Schroder and Kyle Kuzma but the matchup is tough for both. If you’re looking for value, Alex Caruso and Talen Horton-Tucker are also solid plays, but I won’t be going back to Marc Gasol here, because he only got that run because Montrezl Harrell got ejected after playing only 2 minutes. Now for the Heat, they should roll on this injured Lakers team here, but if I do play anyone from this game it’ll be Jimmy Butler or Bam Adebayo, as both have great matchups here. Victor Oladipo also makes for an interesting play, as he saw 33 minutes last game and we know he has upside when he gets going, him being healthy really kills Goran Dragic and Tyler Herro though. As I said though, this isn’t a game I’ll be going out of my way to get players from.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler

4-star play: Bam Adebayo, Dennis Schroder, Kyle Kuzma, Victor Oladipo

Deeper Value: Alex Caruso, Talen Horton-Tucker, Tyler Herro

GPP Sleeper: None

Chicago Bulls @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 221

Vegas Spread: Chi -4.5

This game has a decent total, and we have a few pieces here that could be great plays in this matchup. Starting with the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine are the two primary pieces that you want here, as they dominate usage with that first team and LaVine’s price has plummeted. Thaddeus Young has also been starting in place of Lauri Markkanen which is a bit surprising, but it has been working, I actually like Lauri for value more tonight. Tomas Satoransky has also taken over that PG role, and he’s a great play here tonight as it looks like Coby White has run into some issues with the health protocols. Patrick Williams has also been playing heavy minutes and he’s a solid value everywhere tonight against a bad Raptors defense. Now for the Raptors, the big news hinges on whether or not Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet play, both didn’t play last game so I’m going to write this assuming they are out. It makes Pascal Siakam a phenomenal play here, as he played 41 minutes last game and he’s still moderately priced. Chris Boucher is also a big beneficiary, as he finally cracked the starting lineup and he’s still too cheap everywhere. Gary Trent Jr. is also playing big minutes but he hasn’t been doing much with them as he doesn’t look comfortable in this offense yet. Malachi Flynn would also be in play here if he starts, and I like DeAndre’ Bembry for value here as well if those two guys miss.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic, Pascal Siakam

4-star play: Zach LaVine, Chris Boucher, Malachi Flynn

Deeper Value: Patrick Williams, Tomas Satoransky, Gary Trent, DeAndre’ Bembry

GPP Sleeper: Patrick Williams

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 213

Vegas Spread: Cle -3

This is another game that could be a sneaky shootout, as both of these teams are pretty bad defensively and run some pretty tight rotations. Starting with the Cavs, Collin Sexton has been their rock offensively, and with Nance already out here tonight he should see even more usage. Darius Garland has been great as well, but his matchup is fantastic as the Thunder have struggled to defend PGs all year long. It looks like Kevin Love’s minutes are also trending upward, if he plays 25 minutes here tonight he could be a nice value piece. Jarrett Allen didn’t practice again either, so that leaves the Cavs pretty shorthanded here, Dean Wade will have to play some big minutes here and he’ll become a really good value play once again if Nance and Allen are both ruled out again. Cedi Osman would also be a solid value play if all those guys are out. Isaiah Hartenstein has also been great and he would be a solid value tonight as well, especially if Love is out tonight for rest.  Now for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Theo Maledon is going to be the primary option here, as he will run this offense as it looks like SGA will be out again here tonight. Moses Brown has also been a revelation for this Thunder team, and he has a really good matchup here again tonight as the Cavs are brutal against bigs. Isaiah Roby is also in play here, but he looked like he got hurt last game as well, which would leave the Thunder very thin on bodies in their front court. Aleksej Pokusevski would be the main beneficiary if he were to miss this game as well, but he went out last game as well, so there’s a ton of injury news to keep an eye on in this game. Svi Mykhailiuk is also in play here for value, especially if Ty Jerome is out again here tonight. Overall the Thunder are a team that we can target for value here tonight.

5-star play: Collin Sexton, Moses Brown

4-star play: Darius Garland, Kevin Love, Theo Maledon

Deeper Value: Ty Jerome, Svi Mykhailiuk, Isaiah Hartenstein, Dean Wade

GPP Sleeper: Moses Brown

Milwaukee Bucks @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 229

Vegas Spread: Mil -1

Starting with the Bucks, we have some injury news here, as it looks like the Bucks don’t know what the word probable means when it comes to Giannis Antetokounmpo, I would expect him to play here though and he is a great play in all formats if he suits up for this one. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday are solid plays, but both priced up a bit but they would likely become core if Giannis were to miss for any reason, as would Bobby Portis. Donte DiVincenzo has also been solid in his role and he’s a solid value. But overall this is a solid game to target especially if Giannis is out. Now for the Mavericks, we all know that Luka Doncic is matchup proof, but this matchup still leaves a lot to be desired and he doesn’t have a great track record against the Bucks. Kristaps Porzingis was back last night and had a solid game, but with it being the 2nd half of a B2B he may sit this one out, that is something to monitor. If he were to miss then the Mavs will be very thin on bodies once again, which would put Boban Marjanovic into play. He’s only in play if he starts though. Josh Richardson has also been picking it up lately, he would be a really solid play if Porzingis were to miss here as well. Jalen Brunson has also looked very good, and if KP misses then it opens up Tim Hardaway as well because he’ll need to pitch in more offensively. This is a sneaky shoot out game with the total right under 230.

5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic

4-star play: Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, Josh Richardson

Deeper Value: Jalen Brunson, Tim Hardaway, Bobby Portis

GPP Sleeper: Tim Hardaway

Portland Trail Blazers @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 231

Vegas Spread: Uth -6.5

This is a game we’re going to want to target here, as it is the highest total on the slate by a few points. Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell had a fantastic game last night, and the matchup is even better here tonight., if he is out for any rest purposes then it puts Mike Conley in play as a great value. If either of those guys were to sit out this game then it would also make Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson really nice value plays as well, especially Clarkson if Mitchell is out. Rudy Gobert should also be able to get whatever he wants here against this Blazers team, as Nurk looks like he’ll be back, but he’s a better defender than Kanter. Lastly, Bojan Bogdanovic has had an off year, but he should see plenty of open 3 opportunities in this one so he is in play for GPPs. Now for the Blazers, Damian Lillard has a solid matchup here, but it does leave a bit to be desired here going up against Conley and the Jazz. CJ McCollum is actually a better play here tonight, as he is cheaper and has similar upside and doesn’t have to deal with Conley. Norman Powell has also joined this team, but he has been pretty scoring dependent so I don’t love him here tonight with how this usage is spread around. Jusuf Nurkic also missed last game, but I expect him to be back here tonight and bang down low with Gobert, hopefully he isn’t limited. Lastly, if you’re looking to get really deep, Robert Covington has also been playing some solid ball over the past few games and he doesn’t break the bank anywhere.

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard

4-star play: CJ McCollum, Norman Powell, Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gobert

Deeper Value: Bojan Bogdanovic, Robert Covington

GPP Sleeper: Robert Covington

Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 223.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -5

This should be another solid game to target here, as these two teams are battling for that 2 seed out in the West and the Suns are coming off a big win last night. Starting with the Suns, Chris Paul and Devin Booker should have a field day here, as the Clippers really struggle to defend guards and the two of them have been trending upward, especially Booker, I’ll love both of them if Beverley is out here tonight, even if he is limited it is a spot to attack. DeAndre Ayton also has a great matchup here tonight, as it looks like Ibaka will be out again, so he’ll take on the marshmellow that is Zubac. Mikal Bridges also plays well in fast paced games like these so he’s in play as well for GPPs. Lastly, Dario Saric should see some solid run here, and Cam Johnson even showed some signs of life last night as well. Now for the Clippers, the obvious play here is going to be Kawhi Leonard and Paul George as the Suns don’t really have an answer for these two guys, I even like PG a bit better here for the discount. Ivica Zubac also draws a solid matchup against Ayton here as well, and if Pat Beverley is out here tonight then I’ll have a few shares of Terance Mann as he’s been their sparkplug off the bench. Marcus Morris has also been shooting really well, but we all know that he is streaky and has a low floor.

5-star play: Chris Paul, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George

4-star play: Devin Booker, DeAndre Ayton, Ivica Zubac

Deeper Value: Marcus Morris, Terance Mann, Mikal Bridges, Dario Saric

GPP Sleeper: Mikal Bridges

Detroit Pistons @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total: 226.5

Vegas Spread: Sac -6.5

Starting with the Pistons, if McGruder is out again then it’ll open up a ton of minutes for Dennis Smith Jr. and Saben Lee, but the Pistons are basically a tryout for next year as this point, as there rotation is very deep at the moment. Jerami Grant had a great game the other night as well, and he’s been heating up and that price on FanDuel is still way too cheap, he’s a great play everywhere. Mason Plumlee is back, but if he were to miss this game for any reason then we can go right back to some Isaiah Stewart who is a FPPM monster when he gets the minutes. Saddiq Bey has also been trending in the wrong direction, but there are worse value plays on this slate as he can get hot from 3 as well if he is indeed healthy as he tweaked but he’s been playing so he looks like he’s fine. Here we have a game that I want to target, as both of these teams play fast and loose and I can see this game being a shootout. Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been really solid outside of one really bad game, and he gets a fantastic matchup here tonight against this Piston back court. Tyrese Haliburton seems to have hit that rookie wall over the past 2 weeks, which benefits Buddy Hield as he’s seen an uptick in usage, but he performed well in their last game and neither guy breaks the bank. Richaun Holmes has also been solid, and he’s shown to have some crazy ceiling games from time to time and this matchup would allow him to do so especially going up against Plumlee. Harrison Barnes also has been really solid despite his dude the other night, he’s in play in all aspects here tonight as well.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Jerami Grant

4-star play: Dennis Smith Jr., Mason Plumlee, Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes

Deeper Value: Saddiq Bey, Buddy Hield

GPP Sleeper: De’Aaron Fox

NBA Lock of the Day:

(Chris Boucher FD: $6,000 DK: $5,700)

It looks like Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet will miss this game again tonight, which likely means that Boucher will draw the start again here tonight after he did the other night. The dude has 50+ FP potential when he gets close to 30 minutes, and that should be the case for him here tonight. He’s way too cheap on both sites with all the injuries to this Raptors team, and this game should stay competitive as well.
