Washington Wizards @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Wizards, we just saw Russell Westbrook go nuclear again and Beal is a GTD once again here tonight, so if Beal misses again then Westy will likely be a core play in all formats. Rui Hachimura has looked great the past week or so, but he sat out last game so that is something to monitor here today, if he were to miss then Chandler Hutchison would become a great value. However, it looks like Davis Bertans will be back here in a limited role so that takes some of the shine off of both of them. Alex Len and Deni Avdija have both been playing solid minutes and neither break the bank, however it looks like Robin Lopez will continue to play solid minutes here with Gafford out with that ankle. Ish Smith is also back but he will likely be on a minutes limit as well here tonight. Now for the Raptors, the big news really depends on the health of Fred VanVleet and Kyle Lowry as Lowry has been out for a few games and VV got hurt last game. If both of those guys are out then we can likely just lock in Pascal Siakam here, as he’ll dominate usage with that first team. OG Anunoby would also become a borderline core play as well as he’s been crushing with just Lowry out. It would also open up a ton of usage for Gary Trent and Malachi Flynn who would likely be starting if both of them are out. Overall this is something we need news on before we can really dig into here.

5-star play: Pascal, Russell Westbrook

4-star play: OG Anunoby, Rui Hachimura, Bradley Beal (if in)

Deeper Value: Chandler Hutchison, Robin Lopez, Gary Trent, Robin Lopez

GPP Sleeper: Robin Lopez, Gary Trent, Malachi Flynn

Detroit Pistons @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 213

Vegas Spread: Det -3

Starting with the Pistons, if McGruder is out again then it’ll open up a ton of minutes for Dennis Smith Jr. and Saben Lee, but the Pistons are basically a tryout for next year as this point, as there rotation is very deep at the moment. Jerami Grant had a great game the other night as well, and he’s been heating up and that price on FanDuel is still way too cheap, he’s a great play everywhere. Mason Plumlee has also already been ruled out here as well, so we may even see some Isaiah Stewart if he can get on track to play in this one, he is a great value play here tonight. Saddiq Bey has also been trending in the wrong direction, but there are worse value plays on this slate as he can get hot from 3 as well if he is indeed healthy as he tweaked something a few games ago. Now for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Theo Maledon is going to be the primary option here, as he will run this offense as it looks like SGA will be out again here tonight. Moses Brown has also been a revelation for this Thunder team, and he has a really good matchup here again tonight. Isaiah Roby is also in play here, but he looked like he got hurt last game as well, which would leave the Thunder very thin on bodies in their front court. Aleksej Pokusevski would be the main beneficiary if he were to miss this game as well. Svi Mykhailiuk is also in play here for value, especially if Ty Jerome is out again here tonight. Overall the Thunder are a team that we can target for value here tonight.

5-star play: Jerami Grant, Theo Maledon

4-star play: Dennis Smith Jr., Saddiq Bey, Moses Brown, Isaiah Stewart

Deeper Value: Aleksej Pokusevski, Svi Mykhailiuk, Saben Lee

GPP Sleeper: Aleksej Pokusevski, Dennis Smith Jr.

New York Knicks @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Knicks, Julius Randle is going to be your main target, as he does it all for this Knicks offense and he has the highest ceiling of anyone in this game especially considering how bad this Brooklyn defense is. RJ Barrett has also been picking it up as of late, but with the return of Derrick Rose and Elfrid Payton it has taken some of the shine off of them. If both of them are out tonight for whatever reason he becomes a great play. Nerlens Noel has also seen some nice minutes with Mitch Robinson out, and he’s been performing very well. There really aren’t a ton of guys you want to target here on the Knicks, as they have a pretty tight rotation and most of the usage flows through Randle. Now for the Nets, it looks like Harden and KD will remain out here, although it looks like KD will be back at some point this week. That makes Kyrie Irving a premier play here, as the Knicks don’t defend PGs well at all as we know. Bruce Brown would also be in line for some big minutes here if Harden misses. Joe Harris is also a solid play anytime that Harden or KD is out, as he can get hot from 3 and light it up. LaMarcus Aldridge has also been starting and playing well, he’s a really solid option here tonight as well. If you’re looking for some deep GPP MME type plays, then Nic Claxton is your guy, as his role continues to increase, while DeAndre Jordan’s decreases.

5-star play: Kyrie Irving, Julius Randle

4-star play: Nerlens Noel, RJ Barrett, Joe Harris, LaMarcus Aldridge

Deeper Value: Bruce Brown, Elfrid Payton

GPP Sleeper: LaMarcus Aldridge

Utah Jazz @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

This isn’t going to be a game I’m going to target too heavily, as both of these teams play at a pretty slow pace and this will be one of the lower scoring games of the night. Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is apparently afraid of planes now, so I’m not even sure if he made the trip to Dallas, so that is something we have to monitor here, if he is out then it puts Mike Conley in play as a great value. If either of those guys were to sit out this game then it would also make Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson really nice value plays as well, especially Clarkson if Mitchell is out. Rudy Gobert should also be able to get whatever he wants here against this Mavs team, as they started Boban last game, and if thats the case again tonight then he’s going to destroy them inside. Lastly, Bojan Bogdanovic has had an off year, but he should see plenty of open 3 opportunities in this one so he is in play for GPPs. Now for the Mavericks, we all know that Luka Doncic is matchup proof, but this matchup still leaves a lot to be desired and he doesn’t have a great track record against the Jazz. Kristaps Porzingis missed last game as well, and he’s a GTD tonight, so if he were to miss then the Mavs will be very thin on bodies once again, which would put Boban Marjanovic into play. He’s only in play if he starts though. Josh Richardson has also been picking it up lately, he would be a really solid play if Porzingis were to miss here as well. Jalen Brunson has also looked very good, and if KP misses then it opens up Tim Hardaway as well because he’ll need to pitch in more offensively. Overall though, this isn’t a game I’ll be targeting too heavily as I said above.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Rudy Gobert

4-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, Kristaps Porzingis, Josh Richardson

Deeper Value: Joe Ingles, Jordan Clarkson, Jalen Brunson, Boban Marjanovic, Tim Hardaway

GPP Sleeper: Boban Marjanovic (if he starts)

Sacramento Kings @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Here we have a game that I want to target, as both of these teams play fast and loose and I can see this game being a shootout. Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been really solid outside of one really bad game, and he gets a fantastic matchup here tonight. Tyrese Haliburton seems to have hit that rookie wall over the past 2 weeks, which benefits Buddy Hield as he’s seen an uptick in usage, but he performed well in their last game and neither guy breaks the bank. Richaun Holmes has also been solid, and he’s shown to have some crazy ceiling games from time to time and this matchup would allow him to do so. Harrison Barnes also has been really solid despite his dude the other night, he’s in play in all aspects here tonight as well. Now for the Timberwolves, they’ve still been a mess defensively, but they do play fast and loose which bodes well for this Kings team in a pace up spot. Starting with the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is going to be their primary option on offense, and the matchup is solid here going up against Holmes. Malik Beasley draws a decent matchup here as well, he hasn’t gotten it going yet, but the Kings are one of the worst defensive teams in the league against guards. Ricky Rubio and Jaylen Nowell are both likely out here, which would make Jordan McLaughlin a great value play here tonight as he’d likely start, however I saw D’Angelo Russell pop up as a GTD here so that is something to monitor, but even if he plays he’ll be limited with how long he’s been out. Jaden McDaniels has secured that 4 spot for the Wolves as well, and he’s a solid value.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Karl-Anthony Towns

4-star play: Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Richaun Holmes, Malik Beasley, Harrison Barnes

Deeper Value: Jaden McDaniels, Jordan McLaughlin

GPP Sleeper: Jordan McLaughlin

Cleveland Cavaliers @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 216.5

Vegas Spread: Sas -9

This is another game that could be a sneaky shootout, as both of these teams are pretty bad defensively and run some pretty tight rotations. Starting with the Cavs, Collin Sexton has been their rock offensively, and with Nance already out here tonight he should see even more usage. Darius Garland has been great as well, but his matchup is fantastic as the Spurs have struggled to defend PGs all year long. It looks like Kevin Love’s minutes are also trending upward, if he plays 25 minutes here tonight he could be a nice value piece. Jarrett Allen didn’t practice again either, so that leaves the Cavs pretty shorthanded here, Dean Wade will have to play some big minutes here and he’ll become a really good value play once again if Nance and Allen are both ruled out again. Cedi Osman would also be a solid value play if all those guys are out. Isaiah Hartenstein has also been great and he would be a solid value tonight as well. Now for the Spurs, DeMar Derozan is the heart and soul of this team, and he has a great matchup here going up against this Cavs team that has struggled to defend guards all year long. Dejounte Murray has also been great and he gets a good matchup here tonight as well. Keldon Johnson has also been up and down, but he makes for a great GPP play with his upside as the Cavs have been giving up a ton of FPs to 4s over the past few weeks. Jakob Poeltl will also have a solid matchup here as we all know the Cavs struggle against bigs as well, they struggle against almost every position basically. Patty Mills is also a nice value play coming off the bench as he can get hot in a quick and he is dirt cheap.

5-star play: Collin Sexton, DeMar Derozan

4-star play: Kevin Love, Dejounte Murray, Keldon Johnson, Darius Garland

Deeper Value: Patty Mills, Cedi Osman, Dean Wade, Isaiah Hartenstein

GPP Sleeper: Dean Wade, Patty Mills

Phoenix Suns @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

This is the hammer game here tonight which starts at 8pm, so we don’t have a ton of basketball here tonight. Starting with the Suns, Chris Paul and Devin Booker should have a field day here, as the Rockets really struggle to defend guards and the two of them have been trending upward, especially Booker. DeAndre Ayton also has a great matchup here tonight, as the Rockets don’t have a traditional big so he’ll have a nice size advantage over everyone they have tonight. Mikal Bridges also plays well in fast paced games like these so he’s in play as well. Lastly, Dario Saric should see some solid run here, as Nader and Kaminsky have both already been ruled out, and he’s been really good off the bench and would see extra run in the event of a blowout. Now for the Rockets, they’re on the 2nd half of a B2B, so we’ll need news obviously, but if John Wall misses this game again tonight then I’ll have a ton of Kevin Porter Jr. as he dudded last night and publicly came out and said that he needs to be better. Christian Wood is their other main option on offense, but I could see him resting here tonight so that is something to monitor as well. Jae’Sean Tate has been really good for this Rockets team and always goes overlooked as well. He’s solid here. If you need value, both DJ Augustin and Avery Bradley should see some solid minutes here as well, I particularly like Bradley more after his dud last night out in a great spot and both would see blowout run as well. Kelly Olynyk has also been great and he makes for a really solid play here as well, especially if Wood were to miss for any reason.

5-star play: Christian Wood, Devin Booker

4-star play: Kevin Porter Jr., Chris Paul, DeAndre Ayton, Jae’Sean Tate, Kelly Olynyk

Deeper Value: DJ Augustin, Avery Bradley, Dario Saric

GPP Sleeper: Dario Saric, Avery Bradley, Kevin Porter Jr.

NBA Lock of the Day:

(Kevin Porter Jr. FD: $6,200 DK: $7,300)

Obviously we need news on John Wall here before we can lock him in, but if he misses tonight then KPJ is going to be my guy again here tonight. What I’ve seen on Wall news is that it looks like he’s shooting to come back Wednesday. KPJ publicly tweeted that he needs to play better after last nights performance, and everything I’ve seen from this kid tells me that if he gets the opportunity here tonight then he’s going to smash in this spot at what will likely be very low ownership. He is a much better play on FanDuel though. As always, check back here for updates throughout the day, and as always, stay updated in our VIP Coaching forums as news breaks throughout the day!
