Portland Trail Blazers @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Here we have a game that should have some fireworks, as both of these teams are in the playoff hunt and need to get going if they want to make the playoffs. Starting with the Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard is their primary option on offense, but he draws a difficult matchup here going against the Heat, but we all know that when he is on he is matchup proof. CJ McCollum has also been trending upward since his return from injury, but he has been scoring dependent and the matchup does leave a bit to be desired here, so he’ll be GPP only for me. Enes Kanter also runs into the buzz saw that is Bam Adebayo, so he’ll likely be a fade for me here tonight/GPP MME type play. Carmelo Anthony has been really good for them off the bench, and I like his prospects tonight more against this Heat 2nd team defense than many of the Blazers starters. That’s really all I want to target for the Blazers in this game as the Heat slow the game way down and are very good defensively. Now for the Heat, your main target here is going to be Jimmy Butler as he has the highest ceiling of anyone in this game given his ability to triple double at various points in the year. Bam Adebayo has also been hot as he is still a bit underpriced on FanDuel given his recent production, and the matchup is a great one for him here going up against the revolving door at the rim that is Enes Kanter. Goran Dragic is on the injury report, if he were to miss again here tonight, then it would put both Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Herro into play, but if he is healthy then I won’t have any exposure to those guys. Overall, I like Butler and Bam here the most, and I’ll have some Nunn if Dragic misses again.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo

4-star play: Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Enes Kanter, Kendrick Nunn (if Dragic out)

Deeper Value: Tyler Herro, Robert Covington, Derrick Jones Jr., Carmelo Anthony

GPP Sleeper: Carmelo Anthony

Washington Wizards @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 225.5

Vegas Spread: Nyk -3

Here we have a repeat game of the other night and the Wizards really need to get it going here, as their playoff hopes are really dwindling despite having a very talented team. Starting with the Wizards, Russell Westbrook is going to be my main target, especially after he struggled the other night against this Knicks team, I’m expecting him to bounce back in a big way here tonight. Your other target here is going to be Bradley Beal but his ceiling is a bit capped as long as Westbrook is playing. Rui Hachimura has also been heating up, and his price hasn’t caught up to his recent production especially on FanDuel. Alex Len has also been solid in that starting role, and he’s still pretty cheap everywhere although the matchup is a bit more difficult with Mitch Robinson back. They do have a tight rotation as well, and Garrison Mathews has been the main beneficiary of Bertans being hurt, and he looks like he’s out again tonight. He’s a decent value as he saw 30 minutes last game but didn’t do much with it. The Knicks are trying to hang onto a playoff spot, and they’re going to continue to play their guys heavy minutes and they have a tight rotation with all the injuries they have. Julius Randle plays a ton of minutes every night, and he should see 40+ again tonight as he is their main source of offense and the matchup doesn’t get much better. Reggie Bullock is a solid value as well, as he should play 40+ minutes here as well as Thibs loves him, but he did hurt his ankle last game so it is something to keep an eye on. If he were to miss then we’d see bigger roles for both Immanuel Quickely and Alec Burks. RJ Barrett has also been solid, but he’s more of a cash game play with how the usage breaks down for this Knicks team. Mitchell Robinson has also returned but they’re ramping him up as he played a good amount and had a really solid double-double last game.

5-star play: Julius Randle, Russell Westbrook

4-star play: Bradley Beal, Rui Hachimura, Reggie Bullock, RJ Barrett

Deeper Value: Immanuel Quickley, Alec Burks, Garrison Mathews

GPP Sleeper: Alec Burks, Immanuel Quickley, Mitchell Robinson

Los Angeles Clippers @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 221.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -6

This is a very underrated game to target in my opinion, as these teams play a bit faster than you’d think and it is only 1.5 points lower than the hammer game when it comes to the game total. Starting with the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard gets to face off against his old team once again here tonight and he had a solid game last night in this same exact spot. Paul George is also a bit too cheap on FanDuel again, but the guy you’re going to want to target his is going to be Ivica Zubac as Serge Ibaka is going to be out for a few more games and his price hasn’t caught up to his recent production. If you’re looking to get different here, Lou Williams is in play for GPPs, but he just hasn’t been the same this year without his running mate Montrezl Harrell. Marcus Morris should also see some solid run here with Ibaka out, he’s a solid value here as well. Now for the Spurs, it is quiet evident that DeMar Derozan has a vendetta against Kawhi for that trade, as he popped off last night and I think he’ll do so again here tonight. He’s their main source of offense with Aldridge out of the picture. Dejounte Murray has also had a few solid games against this Clipper team already this year, but with Derrick White being healthy it is tough to love his ceiling. Jakob Poeltl has a decent size advantage down low here as well, as he can bang over Zubac’s thin frame. I also like Keldon Johnson’s price here, but he’s been streaky to say the least so he is going to be a GPP only play for me tonight.

5-star play: Kawhi Leonard, DeMar Derozan

4-star play: Paul George, Dejounte Murray, Ivica Zubac

Deeper Value: Keldon Johnson, Derrick White, Lou Williams, Marcus Morris

GPP Sleeper: Keldon Johnson

Philadelphia 76ers @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: 211.5

Vegas Spread: Phi -4.5

Here is another game that we can target here, as both of these teams are dealing with injury issues and it should stay pretty close here tonight. Starting with the Sixers, Ben Simmons is a premier play here tonight, as the Lakers don’t have anyone that can matchup with him, and he’s their primary ball handler as he towers over these Laker guards. Tobias Harris is also safe in all formats here, as he has as nice ceiling but his price has come way up with Embiid’s injury. Tony Bradley has been solid as well, but its been a crapshoot guessing between him and Dwight Howard as to who is going to have the better game, I prefer Dwight here tonight as Bradley was the one who went off last game. Seth Curry looks like he’s out again tonight as well, which puts Furkan Korkmaz into play here as he started with him out last game. And for guys coming off the bench, your target is going to be Shake Milton as he is a scoring machine for them and the matchup is really solid for him going up against this Lakers 2nd team defense. For the Lakers, we now have a pretty solid idea of how their rotation is going to shake out with LeBron and AD out, and the main guy we’re going to want to target is Dennis Schroder as he is now the unequivocal leader on this offense as he’ll run the point, but the matchup is difficult here as the Sixers are very good against guards. Kyle Kuzma has also made his way to the starting lineup, and he has played heavy minutes  so he’s in play in all formats tonight, he got off to a hot start last game and then kind of disappeared. Markieff Morris started as well, but he’ll lose minutes to Harrell as we saw. Speaking of which Montrezl Harrell has looked absolutely phenomenal in these past 3 games, and he’s firmly in play in all formats here tonight on both sites. Talen Horton-Tucker‘s price has caught up, which is unfortunate, but he is in play once again here tonight after his dud game last time out. Alex Caruso is also seeing heavy minutes off the bench and he is a nice target here for value tonight.

5-star play: Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, Montrezl Harrell

4-star play: Dennis Schroder, Kyle Kuzma, Tony Bradle,y Dwight Howard

Deeper Value: Markieff Morris, Talen Horton-Tucker

GPP Sleeper: Alex Caruso, Shake Milton

Golden State Warriors @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total: 223

Vegas Spread: Sac -2.5

This is going to be the game that I will be targeting the most, as none of these games have a high total but both of these teams play at a very fast pace. It looks like Steph is out again tonight, which makes Jordan Poole a premier play once again. His price has come up quite a bit, but it has been warranted, but I love the matchup for these guards here tonight. Draymond Green isn’t on the injury report either so he’s a nice cash game play, but James Wiseman and Eric Paschall both returned last game so he won’t have to play so much of the 5. Wiseman is in play for me tonight if he starts. Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre are both in play as well, but their prices have come up as well with Steph’s injury so I won’t be overweight on them here in this spot, but Wiggins has looked to be the better of the two over these past few games, as we’ve all seen that Oubre’s shooting has been very streaky this year. Now for the Kings, they’re on the 2nd half of a B2B, but they are young so it doesn’t bother me too much. De’Aaron Fox has been on absolute fire, posting multiple 40+ FP games already this week and he gets to face off against a Warriors team that has struggled to defend guards. This is a nice spot for Tyrese Haliburton as well, and his price is still way too cheap on FanDuel for the minutes he is getting. Harrison Barnes is also a very solid cash game play at his price, as he’ll continue to play 30+ minutes in a game against his old team. Richaun Holmes also has a very good matchup here as well, and this could be one of his explosion games if one of the Kings guards does end up struggling here tonight. Overall I will be heavily targeting this game, as it is the hammer game and we have a good amount of value that can put us over the top in GPPs.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton

4-star play: Jordan Poole, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre, Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes

Deeper Value: Damion Lee, James Wiseman

GPP Sleeper: Tyrese Haliburton

NBA Lock of the Day:

(Tyrese Haliburton FD: $5,700 DK: $6,000)

Haliburton appears to be off his minutes restriction, as he has played 36 minutes in each of the past 2 games, and now Cory Joseph has been traded so that opens up even more minutes for him. He’s also put up 36 and 37 FPs in those two games and as his price he is simply way too cheap. The matchup is also fantastic here going up against the Warriors, so I’m expecting 40+ FPs from him tonight which would make him an absolute bargain at his price.
