Sacramento Kings @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Total: 239

Vegas Spread: Cha -3.0

We kick this slate off with a massive 239 implied total, so we should be able to find some pieces right off the bat. Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has at least 51DraftKings points in three straight games and I like his chances of continuing that here in a great matchup against the Hornets, he scored 45.25 on them earlier this season. Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes have looked great as of late, particularly Hield. They’ve both been getting massive minutes and are guys I like to get to here. Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley have been consistently solid as well and are solid options in all formats against a pretty bad interior defense. Lastly, it looks like Tyrese Haliburton got his minutes back up to 24 last game, he’ll likely be back up to 28ish here, but that’s a far cry from the 35-40 he was playing when healthy, so I’ll wait for that minute’s restriction to be lifted. From the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham was held under 20 minutes again last game and seems like he’s going to be eased back in over the next couple of games. He did look good last game however going for 27 DraftKings points, but I don’t see him making my player pool here. LaMelo Ball bounced back last game going for 49.25 DraftKings points and he has a 49 point outing on the Kings already this season, I really like this spot for him at under $9k on DraftKings. Terry Rozier has seen his price tag come down with Graham back, but it’s still a bit too high for me, get him closer to $6k and I’ll be more interested. Gordon Hayward seems like a fine option for all formats, I love the matchup and he’s shown a nice ceiling this season. With Cody Zeller expected back I think PJ Washington is overpriced, as he won’t see as much run at the five. That being said, he still has nice upside and this is the game that put him on the map when he went for 65 DraftKings points against this Kings team earlier this season. Lastly, Malik Monk and Miles Bridges will continue to provide a spark off the bench and make for decent tournament options should you land on them.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, LaMelo Ball

4-star play: Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes, Marvin Bagley, Gordon Hayward

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Devonte’ Graham, Terry Rozier, PJ Washington, Cody Zeller, Malik Monk, Miles Bridges

Milwaukee Bucks @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

We don’t have a total on this one yet, but we just saw this game on Saturday and the game ended up totaling 244, these are two of the fastest teams in the league so there will be some points here. We’ll start with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 70.75 DraftKings points last time out as the Wizards were able to keep this close. If you think they can keep this competitive he’s an elite option in all formats. Khris Middleton looked solid last game in 33 minutes, his price isn’t anything that I want to target, but I’m okay playing him if I land on him here. Jrue Holiday got his minutes up over 30 in that game and scored 38 DraftKings points. It looks like the minutes restriction has been lifted on him, I love the price tag here as well. He’ll be back in the mid-$7k’s before you know it. Then the trio of Donte DiVincenzo, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis are all volatile tournament options to round out this game, all of them looked pretty solid last time out especially DiVincenzo and Portis. From the Wizards, Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal are the pieces you’ll want here for the most part. They’re both elite options given the pace of this one. Westbrook scored 80 DraftKings points in this one on Saturday, but his production will be hurt by Beal coming back. Rui Hachimura had the best game of his career on Saturday as well, dropping a 29 point double-double on his way to 52 DraftKings points. I’ll let other people chase that production here, he hasn’t been that type of player all season. Then this frontcourt has been a mess, Alex Len started this game last time out and played 33 minutes, so if he starts again he makes sense as a value option. If it’s Mo Wagner starting I would have some interest as well, while Robin Lopez just doesn’t do it for me.

5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, Russell Westbrook, Bradley Beal

4-star play: Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo, Rui Hachimura

Deeper Value: Starting Washington center

GPP Sleeper: Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Alex Len, Mo Wagner, Davis Bertans

New York Knicks @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 225

Vegas Spread: Bkn -8.0

Starting with the Knicks, this is a pretty big pace-up spot for them so they see a nice boost here. Julius Randle bounced back nicely last game going for 67 fantasy points, I like going right back to the well on him here even at an elevated price tag. Derrick Rose will miss this game, while Elfrid Payton is considered doubtful… ALLLL ABOARDDDD the Immanuel Quickley train! The big issue with Quickley has been minutes and with those two guys out he should see a healthy amount in a great matchup. He has a 30% usage rate and over a fantasy point per minute with these guys off the court this season. RJ Barrett should see a nice boost as well and is coming off a 49 point fantasy outing last time out. Nerlens Noel has had back-to-back duds now, but I’m still fine getting to him here especially against this weak frontcourt that the Nets will throw out there. Lastly, Alec Burks is a value option I really like with Rose and Payton out he’s a nice low-end option in this one. From the Nets, both Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin will be inactive here so it will be the James Harden and Kyrie Irving show. Harden scored 64 DraftKings points last time out but sees a pretty heavy pace down spot here against the Knicks. He’s a fine option if you think the Bucks blowout the Wizards but I like getting to the upside on Giannis a bit more due to the pace of that one. Kyrie Irving had a down game last time out and will hurt from the pace down Knicks as well. He’s a fine option but nothing I’m running to the books to play. Bruce Brown has had back-to-back duds and his price is still pretty high, if you think he bounces back here I’m fine with it, but I’d rather just go down to a guy like Burks on the other side of this one. DeAndre Jordan is a fine mid-range cash option but he doesn’t bring much upside with him, I don’t see myself getting a ton of him here either. I would rather take a value shot on Nic Claxton at under $4k, his minutes have been pretty consistent, and got near 20 last time out, he’s not going to see huge minutes but he’s been effective in his short spurts.

5-star play: Julius Randle, James Harden

4-star play: Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Alec Burks, Kyrie Irving

Deeper Value: Nic Claxton

GPP Sleeper: Nerlens Noel, DeAndre Jordan, Bruce Brown, Joe Harris

San Antonio Spurs @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: NA

Vegas Spread: NA

Starting with the Spurs, DeMar DeRozan comes into this one as questionable due to a death in the family, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding him and this team. I will operate under the assumption that he is in until we hear otherwise. He makes for a decent play here but the price tag has really climbed since that 56 point outing against the Mavs last time out. We kind of know what Dejounte Murray is at this point, he can be a consistent producer with massive upside, I have no issue with him here. Jakob Poeltl should continue to see good minutes now that LaMarcus Aldridge is out of the picture, he’s a fine option but he’s priced a bit too high for my liking. The same can be said for Rudy Gay, I don’t love the upside on him either. Derrick White has looked good as of late and is priced nicely here if you’re looking for a mid-range point guard option. Lastly, I may need to just see if from Keldon Johnson before I go to him with any sort of real ownership. From the Pistons, Jerami Grant had a down game last time out but is still seeing huge minutes, he’s a nice option here against a bad defensive team. Mason Plumlee should be able to manhandle the paint, he’s been in pretty good form as of late but seems like they don’t want to give him those mid-30’s minutes like he had been seeing. Delon Wright got his minutes back over 30 last game and is a nice option here at a cheap price tag considering where he will be now that he seems to be fully back. Then we can round this team out with GPP guys like Josh Jackson and Saddiq Bey as “last guy in” type plays.

5-star play: None

4-star play: DeMar DeRozan, Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, Jerami Grant, Mason Plumlee, Delon Wright

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Keldon Johnson, Josh Jackson, Saddiq Bey

Los Angeles Clippers @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 227.5

Vegas Spread: Lac -1.5

Starting with the Clippers, it looks like Serge Ibaka will be out for this game so that will give a nice boost to guys like Marcus Morris and Nic Batum as value options. Other than them it’s really just Kawhi Leonard and Paul George from this team. Both guys were held under 30 minutes last night in a blowout loss to the Pelicans so I wouldn’t imagine they’re on any sort of rest watch, but who knows with this team. For now, I’ll consider them both great options against a pretty bad defense in the Mavericks. From the Mavericks, it’s a similar story over here where it’s mostly just Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis that I’ll have an interest in. Neither of them really jump off the page at me but we know the upside both of them bring to the table. Then you can round this game out with guys like Josh Richardson and Tim Hardaway Jr. as GPP options.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard

4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis, Lou Williams, Marcus Morris, Nic Batum

Deeper Value: Marcus Morris, Nic Batum

GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Ivica Zubac, Josh Richardson, Tim Hardaway Jr.

Indiana Pacers @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: 225.5

Vegas Spread: Den -5.0

Starting with the Pacers, they finally got the debut of Caris LeVert last game and he saw 27 minutes which was good to see. They said he won’t be on a minutes restriction at all so I think you can just fire him up here especially on FanDuel where he’s only $4.1k. Malcolm Brogdon will likely see a bit of a hit with that usage now on the court, but he looked good last game as well and the price has come down on him so he’s a solid option here. Domantas Sabonis is coming off a massive 65 point game against the Suns last time out. He gets a tougher matchup here but under $10k on DraftKings is hard not to like. From the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic scored 45.5 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and is an elite raw option as always. We kind of know the story on Jamal Murray by now, he’s a GPP guy that could get you 60 but could also get you 21.5 like the other night. Michael Porter Jr. seems to have found his footing a bit as of late, I like him as a tournament option here and we know he has huge upside as well. Will Barton is fairly priced as a tournament option as well, but I don’t have a strong lean on him in this one.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Caris LeVert (FanDuel), Domantas Sabonis

4-star play: Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, Michael Porter Jr., Will Barton, Jamal Murray

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Will Barton, Myles Turner

Memphis Grizzlies @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 228

Vegas Spread: Phx -7.0

Starting with the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has seen his price come up as of late and is averaging 34 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Suns this season. I can’t say I love the spot for him as the Suns have been pretty good against opposing point guards. Jonas Valanciunas is a guy I do like however, DeAndre Ayton has some work to do on the defensive end, so he should be able to take advantage here. Dillon Brooks and Brandon Clarke are fine mid-range options on this team but nobody that I’m prioritizing on this slate. Then guys like Justise Winslow and De’Anthony Melton are sort of priced out with this team healthy. Now that this team is pretty much at full strength minus Jaren Jackson, it’s going to be tough to get too much of them outside of Joe Val and Morant. From the Suns, you probably know that I hate playing guys on this team when they’re at full strength by now. With Devin Booker back I don’t see myself getting too much here. It is a nice matchup against the Grizzlies, so if you really want a piece of someone here, guys like Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Ayton are all fine tournament plays. I will say, I do like Dario Saric as a value option with Cam Johnson out as well, he’s seen at least 24 minutes in two straight games.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Ja Morant, Jonas Valanciunas, Devin Booker, Chris Paul

Deeper Value: Dario Saric

GPP Sleeper: Dillon Brooks, Brandon Clarke, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, DeAndre Ayton

Los Angeles Lakers @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: 222.5

Vegas Spread: Lal -2.5

We’ll round this slate off starting with the Lakers, LeBron James is the guy you’ll want from this team. He’s averaging just 37.1 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Warriors this season, but I love the price tag on him here. Dennis Schroder has seen his price come up but he has at least 31 DraftKings points in three straight games and makes for a solid tournament option here. I love getting to Montrezl Harrell for tournaments with Anthony Davis out, he’s not really guaranteed to see the minutes, but he produces when he’s out there. Kyle Kuzma is the guy we know we’ll get minutes from and he has at least 45 DraftKings points in two straight. From the Warriors, Steph Curry has struggled in this matchup as well averaging just 38 fantasy points per game in two games. He has at least 55 DraftKings points in two of his last three and we know he has a massive ceiling. Draymond Green had a big day yesterday dropping a triple-double against the Jazz in an upset win. I have no issues with him, but I just don’t play guys like him who struggle to find usage. Kelly Oubre and Andrew Wiggins are fine GPP options, as usual, coming off the wing. Lastly, James Wiseman saw 23 minutes last game which is intriguing, if you told me he’d get 25 minutes here I would be all over him, but that’s a big if.

5-star play: LeBron James, Steph Curry

4-star play: Dennis Schroder, Montrezl Harrell, Kyle Kuzma, Draymond Green

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kelly Oubre, Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman

NBA Lock of the Day: Caris LeVert (DK – $7.0k; FD – $4.1k)

I normally don’t make this a FanDuel only play since I’m not a huge FanDuel player, but this is a FANDUEL ONLY LOCK OF THE DAY. Caris LeVert returned last game to play 27 minutes and they said he wouldn’t be on any sort of minutes restriction going forward, so $4.1k is just way too cheap for him in this spot. The Research Station currently has him projected for 28 FanDuel points which would put him at about 7x his price tag. I would imagine he makes our core in our Cheat Sheets/Coaches Notes when those come out later in the day, but check them out for an update as we get closer to lock!
