Brooklyn Nets @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

For the Nets, the big news comes down to whether or not Kyrie Irving is in here, as it would change the landscape of this game. James Harden is already in a prime spot here with Durant already ruled out, and Timothy Luwawu-Cabbarot will likely draw the start again if Kyrie is out. DeAndre Jordan has also been playing heavy minutes here, and he gets a great matchup against Plumlee here. Joe Harris would also be a solid value play as well if Kyrie is out. The sleeper would be Landry Shamet as he played great last game with Kyrie out, and I’d be looking at him for value again here tonight, so keep an eye on that Kyrie Irving news.

For the Pistons, Jerami Grant has been struggling for the past week, but this is a get right matchup for him, as the Nets simply don’t play defense at all. Mason Plumlee also draws a favorable matchup here as well as they’re bad inside as well. Delon Wright has also been playing well, and his price doesn’t break the bank and he’ll see more usage with Rose out. Josh Jackson and Svi Mykhailuk are also in play here for value with Rose out, and I’ll even have some interest in Sekou Doumbouya if he starts again.

5-star play: Jerami Grant, James Harden

4-star play: Delon Wright, Mason Plumlee, Joe Harris, Jeff Green

Deeper Value: Josh Jackson, Svi Mykhailuk, Sekou Doumbouya

GPP Sleeper:

New York Knicks @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 208.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -6.5

For the Heat, Goran Dragic has already been ruled out today, so that’ll open up a few things for both Tyler Herro, and Jimmy Butler. Both are really solid plays here as the Knicks are flat out bad defensively and we just saw how this game played out on Sunday. Bam Adebayo also draws a favorable matchup here against the likes of Mitch Robinson and Julius Randle, but I think his upside is a bit capped with both those guys in today, but I still think he can get you 40-45 FPs. Kelly Olynyk and Duncan Robinson both makes for interesting GPP values on a slate like this, especially if Olynyk continues to start. Kendrick Nunn is also viable today with Dragic out, but I’d rather play Herro as long as he continues to come off the bench.

For the Knicks, it all starts with Julius Randle as he is their main source of offense, however, he has a tough matchup against Bam here, but that didn’t stop him last game as he went for 50+ and he’ll need to do it again. RJ Barrett will need to step up a bit offensively in this one, and I think he can but the matchup isn’t great for him either, as he really struggled last game as well. Elfrid Payton is very cheap here as well but they seem to be riding the hot hand between him and Immanuel Quickley who is a decent value play as well here. Mitchell Robinson has also been playing heavy minutes as well, and he doesn’t break the bank either. I don’t love the total on this game but a few guys are in play here. The Knicks also have acquired Derrick Rose, but we’ll have to wait and see if he is available tonight.

5-star play: Julius Randle, Jimmy Butler

4-star play: Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, RJ Barrett, Elfrid Payton

Deeper Value: Kendrick Nunn, Kelly Olynyk, Mitchell Robinson, Immanuel Quickley

GPP Sleeper: Kelly Olynyk

Houston Rockets @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

For the Rockets, John Wall was out last night due to rest purposes, so I’d expect him to be good to go for this one, and he gets a great matchup against this Pelicans lack of defense. Victor Oladipo has been playing really well, but I could see him resting him here tonight with it being the 2nd half of a B2B. Eric Gordon would be the main beneficiary there, especially if he starts. Christian Wood has already been ruled out here as well, so I’ll be going right back to the well here with DeMarcus Cousins as his price hasn’t moved and while he still hit 5x last night, I’m expecting a much bigger game from him against his old team here tonight. Danuel House would be a decent value as well if he draws the start once again.

For the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has been on a tear the past few games, and he has a history of lighting up the Rockets, I like him a lot in this one. Zion Williamson isn’t too overpriced here either, and he should be able to get whatever he wants in this spot against the Rockets. Lonzo Ball also gets a great matchup here as the Rockets aren’t good against guards either. Eric Bledsoe has also been playing heavy minutes with the starters, and his price doesn’t break the bank in what should be a great matchup as well. If you’re looking for value, Josh Hart has been playing almost 30 minutes off the bench and he garners a lot of usage with the 2nd unit.

5-star play: DeMarcus Cousins, Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson

4-star play: Victor Oladipo, Lonzo Ball, Eric Bledsoe

Deeper Value: Josh Hart, Danuel House

GPP Sleeper: Josh Hart

Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 232.5

Vegas Spread: Sas -1.5

Its the usual cast for the Warriors here tonight, Steph Curry is going to lead the offense here and has the highest upside of anyone on this slate as he just showed last night when he went nuclear against this same Spurs team, they really struggle to defend PGs. Kelly Oubre is starting to heat up over the past 2 weeks but consistency is the main issue there, so he’s a great GPP play especially with his price driven up due to that one massive game. Andrew Wiggins is also in play here but I don’t love his price tag on FanDuel. James Wiseman has been out, but if he is back he would be a solid value play here. Lastly, Draymond Green does it all here, as he can rack up rebounds and assists here and his price is pretty cheap with some upside as he showed he can go for 40+ without even scoring an actual point, especially if Looney is out.

This is going to be a game for me to target here, as we just saw these two teams play last night. DeMar Derozan will be their primary scorer, as it looks like Aldridge will be ruled out once again. Dejounte Murray also went off for a massive game last night, and he could very well do that again tonight, I love his price on FanDuel. Keldon Johnson has continued to disappoint with no Aldridge, I think he will bounce back here tonight. Jakob Poeltl is also in play here as well as long as Aldridge is out again. Derrick White is also trending upward, and I like him if he starts again here tonight at his price. Rudy Gay is also in play for value here as well especially with Aldridge likely missing this game.

5-star play: Stephen Curry, DeMar Derozan

4-star play: Kelly Oubre, Dejounte Murray, Keldon Johnson, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green

Deeper Value: Derrick White, Jakob Poeltl

GPP Sleeper: Dejounte Murray

Boston Celtics @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

For the Celtics, Kemba Walker is still too underpriced here especially if Jaylen Brown is ruled out again. He’s coming off a disappointing game as well, so he’s in a prime bounce back spot. If Brown is out, that opens up a lot more shots for both him and Jayson Tatum on that first team offense. Tristan Thompson is also in a decent spot here as the Jazz allow more FPs to bigs than you would realize. Payton Pritchard should also see a few more minutes here if Brown is out, as should Carsen Edwards, but he cooled off after his great game last time out. He did start though, so it is something to keep an eye on. Daniel Theis has also been super efficient with his minutes, but I’d rather play Thompson today.

For the Jazz,  Donovan Mitchell has a decent matchup here as the Celtics are a bit more lax against guards with Smart likely still out. Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson are both really great values, especially with Conley already ruled out again here tonight. My preference is on Clarkson as he’ll be completely dominant on that Jazz 2nd unit. However, Rudy Gobert has quietly been crushing it the past few games, but the matchup is really solid for him here as the Celtics are notoriously soft inside. Bogdan Bogdanovic could also get hot from 3 here, as he can light it up in the right matchups, and the C’s do struggle around the perimeter with Smart out.

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum

4-star play: Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles, Jordan Clarkson, Tristan Thompson

Deeper Value: Carsen Edwards, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Daniel Theis

GPP Sleeper: Bogdan Bogdanovic

Orlando Magic @ Portland Trail Blazers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

For the Magic, Nikola Vucevic is the top dog here for this Magic team, as he’s been their anchor offensively all year long. Aaron Gordon comes in 2nd, but he’s out for the next few weeks with an injury so that is a major boost to some of the Magic starters. Cole Anthony has been thriving in the PG role for the Magic so far with Fultz done for the year, and he doesn’t break the bank once again tonight, and he has a great matchup here tonight against Dame. Terrence Ross is always in play for GPPs with his scoring ability, as he has immense upside when his shot is falling as he dominates usage with that 2nd unit. Evan Fournier has also been ruled out already, so that opens up a lot for James Ennis and Dwayne Bacon as value plays, with my preference being Ennis. Gary Clark will likely draw the start for Gordon and Khem Birch should see some solid minutes off the bench as well.

For the Trailblazers, they have been starting to heat up, but this Magic team will likely slow the pace of this game down a bit. Damian Lillard gets a solid matchup here, as Cole Anthony is not accustomed to guarding great NBA guards. Carmelo Anthony is a great play here as well, especially if Derrick Jones Jr. misses once again as he’ll likely take 20+ shots again, so keep an eye on news here. Enes Kanter gets a tough matchup here as well, with Vuc here, as he is one of the better interior defenders in the game. Gary Trent Jr. is coming off a number of good games as well and as long as he continues to start he is in play with McCollum being on the shelf for a few more weeks. Overall I’ll have one or two pieces from this Trail Blazers team today.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic, Damian Lillard

4-star play: Enes Kanter, Gary Trent Jr., Cole Anthony

Deeper Value: Terrence Ross, Carmelo Anthony, James Ennis, Gary Clark, Dwayne Bacon

GPP Sleeper: James Ennis

Philadelphia 76ers @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total: 231.5

Vegas Spread: Phi -4.5

For the Sixers, it looks like they will be at full strength here, so Joel Embiid will be their main option on offense here, and the matchup is one where he can hit that ceiling, so he’s firmly in play here. Ben Simmons has a nice height advantage over Fox here, but I don’t love his price on FanDuel. Tobias Harris is also as steady as they come, but I think he’s priced right about at value here with the Sixers big 3 all healthy. If you’re looking for value, Seth Curry is still playing starters minutes and he doesn’t break the bank. Lastly, Shake Milton has been crushing it off the bench as well but I’d like to see him get closer to 25 minutes if I play him on a slate like this.

For the Kings, it looks they are fully healthy here and this would be yet another statement game for this young team. De’Aaron Fox has a tougher matchup against Simmons, but he is much faster than him so he can take advantage there. Tyrese Haliburton has been playing 30+ minutes off the bench and he’s been crushing as well. Harrison Barnes is a cash option here as he plays heavy minutes but the ceiling isn’t that great most of the time. Lastly, Richaun Holmes draws a solid matchup here as this Sixers team allows more FPs to C’s than one would think. I like the total in this game to close out the night so it is one to target. Buddy Hield has also been playing 35+ minutes a game and if he gets hot from the field he can be a solid GPP play.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Joel Embiid

4-star play: Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes, Tyrese Haliburton, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris

Deeper Value:  Buddy Hield, Seth Curry, Shake Milton

GPP Sleeper: Tyrese Haliburton

NBA Lock of the Day:

DeMarcus Cousins (FD: $6,000 DK: $7,400)

I’m going right back to the Boogie Train here, as Christian Wood has already been ruled out here and his price hasn’t changed on FanDuel. I expect one of Oladipo or Wall to be out tonight, so he should see even more usage there as well. Add in that Steven Adams isn’t athletic enough to hang with Boogie on the perimeter and he should be in for a field day here, especially given the pace of this game.
