Indiana Pacers @ Charlotte Hornets

We kick this slate off with a game we just saw last time out so we have something to work with here. Starting with the Pacers, Domantas Sabonis wasn’t forced into missing any time with his knee injury and it didn’t seem to phase him one-bit last time out. He dropped 55.75 DraftKings points in 37 minutes, he’s an elite play against a Hornets team that is pretty bad against opposing big men. Malcolm Brogdon looked good as well, he’s going to continue to see massive minutes and has been a nice per minute guy this season, I like going right back to him here. Myles Turner had a down game last time out, he only saw 27 minutes but racked up four fouls which played a role there, his price came down a bit so I’m okay with him in GPPs. Lastly, Jeremy Lamb drew the start last game and played just 21 minutes, he didn’t look good at all but has looked good in his previous games. There’s a chance he goes back to the bench and is that sixth man type for this team, but watch for a starting lineup. From the Hornets, Gordon Hayward had a down game last time out but still played 40 minutes and his price has come down to just $7k on DraftKings, I love that price tag on him, but it’s proven to be a difficult matchup. LaMelo Ball has seen his minutes trend in the wrong direction as of late, on a huge slate, I just don’t have any interest in paying this price tag for him in anything outside of a deep tournament. Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham have been the more productive players, but I just don’t really have a lot of interest in guards that feel appropriately priced in a low total game. PJ Washington bounced back nicely last time out and his price is starting to get to a more playable range, but still, on a big slate I don’t see myself going here much. Lastly, Cody Zeller got his minutes way up to 30 last game which makes me think his restriction has been lifted. This is a really nice price tag on him if you need a punt center option.
5-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Gordon Hayward
4-star play: Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, Cody Zeller, Terry Rozier, Devonte’ Graham
Deeper Value: Cody Zeller
GPP Sleeper: LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Devonte’ Graham, PJ Washington
Atlanta Hawks @ Washington Wizards
Vegas Total: 232
Vegas Spread: Atl -5.5
Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young seems to found his footing a bit. He has at least 50 DraftKings points in six straight games. This is a matchup that I like as well, the Wizards aren’t going to play any sort of defense. Young is an elite play at this price tag on DraftKings. Clint Capela finally came down to Earth last game against the Nets, but he gets another fantastic matchup here against the Wizards frontcourt led by Robin Lopez and Alex Len. John Collins is your GPP guy in this frontcourt, his minutes are trending in the right direction with at least 35 in three straight games, love this spot for him as well. De’Andre Hunter has been sneakily very consistent this season he’s in play here if you’re looking to get some more pieces in this game. The rest of these wing guys are really just GPP guys due to the ceiling they have when they can get hot as we saw with Cam Reddish last time out. From the Wizards, I’ll say it again, someone please trade for Bradley Beal and get him the hell out of Washington. This guy is unbelievable, he’s averaging over 50 DraftKings points per game over his last ten. With Russell Westbrook back he’s not quite as high of a priority as he would be if he were out but I’m still good with getting him here. Speaking of Westbrook, he played 28 minutes last game after it came out that his minutes would be somewhat monitored. He was still able to score 42.25 DraftKings points, I do like the price tag on him however which makes him playable here. If he’s off his minutes limit I’m going to be very heavy on him in a great matchup against the Hawks. The rest of this team isn’t going to get much interest from me on a big slate if you want to make a case for Robin Lopez and Alex Len but that’s about it for me.
5-star play: Trae Young, Bradley Beal, Russell Westbrook
4-star play: Clint Capela, John Collins, De’Andre Hunter
Deeper Value: Alex Len
GPP Sleeper: John Collins, Cam Reddish, Kevin Huerter, Robin Lopez, Alex Len
Milwaukee Bucks @ New Orleans Pelicans
Vegas Total: 228.5
Vegas Spread: Mil -7.0
Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo has played at least 35 minutes in four straight games and has at least 60 DraftKings points in each of them. He’s an elite raw option here as always but the price isn’t anything special on him. Khris Middleton dropped a 50 burger on the Raptors last time out, but his price has come all the way up to $8.4k here on DraftKings. He’s more of a GPP guy at that price. Jrue Holiday had a rough game last time out but was still able to drop 30 DraftKings points, I don’t mind this price on him in a revenge game against his old squad. Brook Lopez bounced back last game in a nice shooting performance where he went 8-11 from the field, I have no issue with him at this price tag. Lastly, Donte DiVincenzo and Bobby Portis continue to put up respectable numbers and are in play for tournaments at their respective price tags. From the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram FINALLY had a good game going for 53 DraftKings points against the Wizards. He hadn’t cracked 40 in his previous six games. He’ll have a tough matchup here but the Bucks defense is still working on getting its sea legs so he’s in play for GPPs. Zion Williamson has been the more consistent piece on this team. He has at least 40 DraftKings points in five of his last six and in a fast-paced matchup, he’s hard to ignore. Speaking of revenge games, Eric Bledsoe gets one against the Bucks here! He has at least 34 minutes in two straight and is finally starting to look competent on his new team. With Lonzo Ball questionable and struggling lately, he’s in play here. If Lonzo is forced to sit, we can go back to Nickeil Alexander-Walker who played 30 minutes last game on his way to 27 DraftKings points. When he’s in he’s going to look to score so he would become a nice option. Lastly, Steven Adams is a fine option at a nice price tag, he has at least 34 DraftKings points in two of his last three games.
5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo
4-star play: Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, Brandon Ingram, Zion Williamson
Deeper Value: Bobby Portis, Nickeil Alexander-Walker
GPP Sleeper: Brook Lopez, Donte DiVincenzo, Bobby Portis, Eric Bledsoe, Steven Adams, Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Cleveland Cavaliers @ New York Knicks
Vegas Total: 206
Vegas Spread: NA
Starting with the Cavaliers, Andre Drummond has played 28 minutes in his last two games and has shot at least 21 field goals in both of them. His minutes are going to be volatile with Allen on the team now, but if Larry Nance is out I’m willing to go back to him in tournaments. He has been one of the highest point per minute guys on the season, but it’s those dang minutes that are the issue. Collin Sexton looked good last time out, but the Knicks are such a slow team, I don’t know how much of him I’ll get here. Larry Nance is questionable here, if he’s forced to miss again I would have slightly more interest in these bigs that we’re worried about minutes on. Jarrett Allen has seen his minutes trend in the wrong direction, I don’t really want anything to do with him on a big slate. Lastly, Darius Garland still feels too cheap here, he re-entered the starting lineup last game and was removed from his minute’s restriction. I’m okay going right back to him in this spot. From the Knicks, Julius Randle had a rough game last time out but it was a tough matchup against the Jazz. His price is down here and is a guy I don’t hate getting to, the Cavs big men aren’t guys that I’m all that afraid of. RJ Barrett is kind of meh here, I don’t have a huge lean on him either way in this one. He’s going to get heavy minutes though which keeps him in play for GPPs at the very least. Mitchell Robinson hasn’t been the point per minute monster I was hoping for this season but I’m still okay taking a GPP shot on him if you’re getting wacky. Lastly, this frontcourt guard situation isn’t something I really want to be in on. Elfrid Payton has seen under 25 minutes in two straight and has been under 18 DraftKings points in three straight. Alec Burks would be the guy I’m most interested in but even there it’s nothing I really want here.
5-star play: None
4-star play: Andre Drummond, Darius Garland, Julius Randle, RJ Barrett
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Andre Drummond, Collin Sexton, RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Alec Burks
Sacramento Kings @ Toronto Raptors
Vegas Total: 229
Vegas Spread: Tor -5.5
Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has at least 40 DraftKings points in four straight games and playing heavy minutes. I don’t know if there is enough meat on the bone to love him at this price tag but he’s in play nonetheless. Richaun Holmes has back to back 40 point fantasy outings and is still under $7k here so he makes sense as an option in all formats. Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes are fine secondary tournament options if you need one in this price range, Hield is in good form coming off a 50 burger last time out. The same can be said for Tyrese Haliburton and Marvin Bagley to round out this team, Bagley is in pretty good form as well. From the Raptors, it looks like their big three is finally going to be healthy here. Fred VanVleet had a big game last time out due to seven blocks/steals getting him to 46.75 DraftKings points, as he shot 17% from the field. Pascal Siakam dropped 51.3 DraftKings points in this matchup earlier in the season and I really like the price tag on him here if he’s back to 100% from the injury. Kyle Lowry is a fine option as well, he’s going to see big minutes, but hasn’t been shotting the greatest as of late. Norman Powell is playing absolutely huge minutes right now, if he starts he’s going to be in play, but I would assume he goes back to the bench unless OG Anunoby is out again here. He’s questionable so keep an eye on the VIP Coaching forum for updates regarding their starting lineup. Lastly, the minutes on Chris Boucher just aren’t fun right now, he’s a deep GPP option at best due to the volatility here.
5-star play: Pascal Siakam, Richaun Holmes
4-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, Marvin Bagley, Kyle Lowry
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Norman Powell, Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, Chris Boucher

Philadelphia 76ers @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Vegas Total: NA
Vegas Spread: NA
Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid had a fine game last time out going for 43.5 DraftKings points. This is a spot I absolutely love, the Timberwolves have been terrible against opposing centers this season. Towns has been out a lot of the year so that will contribute to some of it, but he should be out here as well, love me some Embiid at this price point. Ben Simmons had a nice bounce-back game last time out going for 53.75 DraftKings points. He always has that triple-double upside which will keep him in play here and the price tag really isn’t all that bad. Tobias Harris feels underpriced as well, this whole Philly team kind of feels that way. Lastly, Seth Curry shot poorly again last game but still played 30 minutes. That’s kind of what we expect from Curry, for him to do well, he really needs to shoot well. However, he’s yet another Sixer that is underpriced here. From the Wolves, D’Angelo Russell is listed as questionable here so this is another case where you’ll have to keep an eye on that VIP Coaching forum for news and updates on him and all players impacted. Malik Beasley looked good last time out going for 36.25 DraftKings points in his place, I like going right back to him if Russell is forced to miss again. Both Naz Reid and Jarred Vanderbilt have looked good over their past couple of games. With Towns and Hernangomez still out, you can go right back to the well on these guys. Reid had an unsustainable eight blocks/steals last game, the steals won’t be there every night but he should continue to have these block opportunities.
5-star play: Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons
4-star play: Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, D’Angelo Russell, Naz Reid, Michael Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt
Deeper Value: Seth Curry
GPP Sleeper: Seth Curry, Jarred Vanderbilt, Ricky Rubio, Anthony Edwards
Brooklyn Nets @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Starting with the Nets, I’ve been saying it for a few games now, but I’m just going to have a hard time getting to the big three of Kevin Durant, James Harden, or Kyrie Irving if they’re all healthy and in the lineup. It’s going to be too hard trying to predict who will have the big night on a day-to-day basis, that being said, I think DraftKings is kind of baking that into their price tags. They all feel at least a few hundred dollars too cheap here. Outside of them it just a few ancillary pieces like DeAndre Jordan or Joe Harris if you’re looking to get a piece of this game. From the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has at least 40 DraftKings points in four straight games. The Nets are a team that is going to prioritize running and offense before getting back on the defensive end, I like Gilgeous-Alexander a good bit here. Al Horford returned last game to play 30 minutes and get nearly 50 DraftKings points. I wouldn’t expect that same thing here, but I don’t think it’s out of the question to consider it a possibility in a great spot against the Nets. Darius Bazley came down again to just 20 DraftKings points last time out, I don’t really see the need for him here outside of a deep GPP option. Lastly, you can get to guys like Lu Dort and Hamidou Diallo in GPPs, I just don’t have that much faith in them to really want to back them, but it is a good spot and George Hill is expected to miss again.
5-star play: James Harden, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
4-star play: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Al Horford
Deeper Value: Hamidou Diallo
GPP Sleeper: DeAndre Jordan, Joe Harris, Darius Bazley, Lu Dort, Hamidou Diallo
Los Angeles Clippers @ Orlando Magic
Vegas Total: 212.5
Vegas Spread: Orl -1.5
Starting with the Clippers, we can’t really analyze this team until we get news on Kawhi Leonard and Paul George who are both questionable here. Keep an eye on the status of them and drop in the VIP Coaching forum for updates on who is impacted with them in/out here. The one thing I will say is, DraftKings has the ancillary pieces priced up so we’re not getting any sort of immediate discount on them even if they are ruled out. From the Magic, Nikola Vucevic fell one rebound short of the double-double bonus last game which hurts but he’s still been so consistent this year that he’s an option here at under $9k on DraftKings. Aaron Gordon let down a lot of lineups last time out where he went for just 15 DraftKings points in 26 minutes. I think it was just a fluke game, he’s been producing well this season and is a guy I’m willing to go back to here especially if the field is going to be down on him due to a bad game. Evan Fournier continues to cook, he has at least 35 DraftKings points in four straight games. I don’t love the price tag but it’s definitely warranted. Terrence Ross has been the odd man out with the other guys doing all the producing, that said, he’s always in play for tournaments due to his ability to score in bunches.
5-star play: Nikola Vucevic
4-star play: Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Terrence Ross
Denver Nuggets @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 224.5
Vegas Spread: Den -.35
Starting with the Nuggets, this price tag on Nikola Jokic is really nice. At the moment he has to be the leader in the clubhouse for MVP but has been held under 45 DraftKings points in two straight which may be the reasoning for the price tag. That said, he’s averaging 58.9 DraftKings points on the season, hard for me to ignore him here. Jamal Murray has been kind of meh over the past two games, I don’t love him here, I don’t hate him. We do know the upside that comes with him so he’s certainly in play for tournaments. Michael Porter Jr. has at least 32 DraftKings points in three straight games and is a nice price here as well. He’s a big usage guy when he gets in the game and is going to look to score, so he’s always in play due to his upside, similar to Murray. Will Barton saw his minutes come crashing down with Porter scooping up a lot of them, he’s out of play for me now that Porter is back in the rotation. From the Spurs, DeMar DeRozan bounced back nicely last game and has a really nice price tag here. The Nuggets defense hasn’t been what it was last season, so it’s not a spot that I’m avoiding. DeRozan is a really solid option here in all formats. Dejounte Murray is too cheap here as well, at this price tag all he really needs to hit 5x on DraftKings is about 31 DraftKings points, he’s averaging 38.4 DraftKings points per game over his last nine games if we take out the game where he played just one minute. Keldon Johnson looked really good last game going for 34.5 DraftKings points, he’s going to be a bit volatile as long as he’s still fighting for usage on the wing with LaMarcus Aldridge. Speaking of Aldridge, it’s hard to ignore him at this price, as much as I want to. He’s coming off a 32.25 point fantasy outing and the Spurs will need his size here.
5-star play: Nikola Jokic, DeMar DeRozan, Dejounte Murray
4-star play: Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., Keldon Johnson, LaMarcus Aldridge
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Michael Porter Jr., Keldon Johnson
Dallas Mavericks @ Utah Jazz
Vegas Total: 225.5
Vegas Spread: Utah -4.0
We round the slate off with a game we saw last time out so we have something to work off of here. Starting with the Mavericks, Luka Doncic continues to see around 35 minutes per game and producing nicely in those minutes. He came back down to Earth last game going for 45 DraftKings points. It’s a tough matchup for the Mavs as the Jazz are one of the best defensive teams in the league. Kristaps Porzingis hasn’t looked great over his last two games, he’s going to be in play for tournaments just due to the upside he has, but I don’t want to prioritize him really at all. I suppose you can make a case for Tim Hardaway Jr. and Trey Burke but I just won’t get there on a big slate. Jalen Brunson has carved himself out a role in this starting lineup but is price right where he should be, I won’t be getting to any of him on a big slate. From the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is questionable here so keep an eye on the VIP Coaching forum for updates regarding his status and who is impacted if he’s out. For the sake of this article, I’ll operate under the assumption that he’s out just due to the fact that these two teams just played so we can work off of that game. Rudy Gobert is a walking tank right now, he has at least 54 DraftKings points in two straight games and I see no reason that can’t continue here in a good matchup against a weak Mavs frontcourt. Mike Conley has at least 34 DraftKings points in three of his last four and makes for a nice option while Jordan Clarkson is your GPP guy in a similar price range. That being said, if Mitchell is out again here we can go right back to the Clarkson and Joe Ingles well. Both saw big minutes and over 40 fantasy points last game with Mitchell out.
5-star play: Luka Doncic
4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis, Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, Joe Ingles
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Tim Hardaway, Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic, Royce O’Neale, Joe Ingles
NBA Lock of the Day: Nikola Jokic (DK – $10.1k; FD – $11.2k)
I’ll start by saying this is more of a DraftKings lock than anything. FanDuel he’s priced where he should be, but DraftKings just mispriced him here for some reason. That’s ultimately the reason he’s the lock of the day here for me. He’s averaging 58.9 DraftKings points on the season which is the highest on the slate and he’s priced under guys like Giannis, Beal, Doncic, and Harden. The matchup isn’t anything that should scare you either, as the Spurs are middle of the pack in terms of defense against opposing centers. I just don’t see a reason for his price tag to be so low, he’s a guy I love here tonight. My final core will be in the coach’s notes/cheat sheets but I think there’s a good chance that Jokic ends up there, be sure to check it out! Tweet me (@MadnessDFS) your lock predictions and if your player gets over 5x tonight I’ll give you a shoutout on Twitter, let’s have some fun with this!
