Another week is in the books and now we start this puzzle all over again for week 16. We are almost finished with the NFL season but there is a ton of money to be won in Daily Fantasy Football every single week and we have solid data to work with after 15 weeks in the books. Somebody can win a million dollars each week on DraftKings and FanDuel and there are tons of other contests that can fit your personal DFS goals. However, if a player is a good play on one site, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are a good play on the other site. Salaries are everything in DFS and in this article I am going to point out the best deals on each week on each site and help you clip some coupons if you are looking to bargain shop around the DFS industry. Here are some of the best deals this week at each offensive position:

 

 

 

Quarterbacks

 

Russell Wilson on FanDuel $7,900. QB is pretty even across both sites this week so there are no real discounts on FanDuel. I am going to go with Wilson as my coupon play though because I don’t think anybody will be on him this week and he is one spot lower on FanDuel than he is on DraftKings. Wilson had his worst game of the season against this Rams team a few weeks ago. The Rams are the 1^st defense against opposing QBs, and they will look to put a ton of pressure on Wilson here. I don’t like him for cash games at all, but I do think he is in play for GPPs. I expect all 5 QBs priced above Wilson will be more owned this week and I like the clear stack options with DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett. There is only 1 game with a game total over 50 this week and only 3 games have a higher game total than this game. This should be a close game with the tightest spread on the slate. The Seahawks are 1.5-point favorites and Chris Carson is listed as Questionable which could lead to more passing if he sits. GPP only, but I think Wilson is the top overall “coupon” at QB for FanDuel this week and this is the first time he is priced under $8k this season.

 

 

 

Matt Ryan on DraftKings $5,800. Matt Ryan seems to make my list every week on DraftKings, but I am going right back to him. This is the only game with over a 50-point total (54) and the Falcons should be playing from behind and passing a ton. Most of the ownership will go to Patrick Mahomes in this game but Ryan at low ownership makes me like him even more. If Julio Jones sits then we have a clear stack option with Calvin Ridley and we are also getting a discount on Ryan like we do every week with FanDuel pricing him up. Ryan is the 7^th highest priced QB on FD this week, and that is only $200 less than Russell Wilson. DraftKings has Ryan priced down as the 10^th highest QB, but that is $1,500 cheaper than Wilson. Ryan threw the ball 49 times last week and had his 2^nd 30+ point game of the season. I like him as a top GPP option this week and this is the clear game of the week and we currently have Ryan projected under 5% ownership.

 

 

 

 

 

Running Backs

 

 

Austin Ekeler on FanDuel $7,000. Ekeler is always a better full-point PPR play, so it does make sense that he is cheaper on FanDuel. This discount makes him my top overall play at RB in all formats this week on FanDuel though and I would expect him to be the clear chalk of the week. DraftKings has Ekeler as the 3^rd highest priced RB on the main slate this week but FanDuel has him down as the 7^th highest, which is lower than Kareem Hunt and Chris Carson. Ekeler has been playing much better in home games this season and they are 3.5-point home favorites this weekend against the Broncos. I like him on both sites this week, but I do prefer clipping this coupon if I am choosing between the two and getting him over on FanDuel where we have him projected as our top overall Fpts/$ play at RB over on our Domination Station Optimizer.

 

 

Kareem Hunt on DraftKings $5,900. Hunt is priced as the 5^th highest RB on FanDuel this week. The Browns are 9.5-point favorites this week and I would expect both RBs to get a ton of opportunities, but he is probably priced out of my lineups on that site. I do like him a bit on DraftKings though where he is priced as the 15^th highest priced active RB on the main slate. Hunt is the type of play I prefer on full-point PPR sites anyway because that is how he is most likely to hit his ceiling. In his 29-point game two weeks ago, he had 6 catches on 7 targets for 77 yards and a TD. Without that receiving work, he would have scored single digits. This is an interesting discount to me, and he will likely be low owned because he has Nick Chubb starting in front of him and he should be the one soaking up most of the ownership.

 

 

 

 

Wide Receivers

 

Jarvis Landry on FanDuel $6,500. DraftKings has Landry priced as the 7^th highest WR on the slate against this terrible Jets team.  FanDuel has him priced 10 spots lower at 17 overall, and that is low enough to make him our top projected Fpts/$ play on the Domination Station Optimizer. He has had at least 8 targets in the last 4 weeks. He didn’t see any Red Zone looks against the Ravens but in those other 3 games, he had 11 Red Zone targets and caught a TD in each game. I think he is a solid play in all formats on FD this week and this discount is making him hard to ignore. He is the clear top WR on this team and I do expect him to get around 10 targets and I think we can pair him with Nick Chubb or Kareem Hunt too because they have the 2^nd highest team total on the slate.

 

 

DJ Moore on DraftKings $5,800. Moore has had 93 or more receiving yards in 7 games this season. He hasn’t been finding the endzone much, but the opportunity is there, and he always has big-play upside. He has had a play of 25 or more yards in all but 3 games this season and over his career, he has had better numbers on the road.  FanDuel has him priced as the 7^th highest WR on the main slate this week but DraftKings has him down at #15. He has had at least 7 targets in his last 4 games, and he has had 120 or more receiving yards in 3 games this season. This might end up being a coupon I click in tournaments over on DraftKings this week and he is my top option on the Panthers.

 

 

 

 

Tight Ends

 

Logan Thomas on FanDuel $6,000. This isn’t much of a discount this week only being two spots lower on FD (5) than he is on DK (3), but I am still interested in clipping this small coupon. Thomas has really stepped it up late in the season and he has had double-digit FD points the last four weeks. He had his best game of the season last week with Dwayne Haskins at QB where he had 13 receptions on 15 targets for 101 yards. That totaled 26.1 FD points and now he has an even better matchup against the Panthers who have allowed 20+ FD points to opposing TE’s three times this season. If I can’t pay all the way up for Travis Kelce this week, Logan Thomas probably becomes my top guy on FanDuel with this slight discount.

 

 

 

Zach Ertz on DraftKings $3,100. This might be a coupon I just throw in the trash, but it has me interested enough to think about on a Thursday. FanDuel has Ertz priced as the 9^th highest TE on the slate and that is high enough for me to X him out of my player pool. DraftKings is tempting me with him down at #15 though, but just as a milly maker type GPP play. Ertz did have 7 targets last week and he did have his longest play of the season with a 42-yard reception. TE has been awful all season long so at this price, I feel like he won’t kill my lineup, but at the same time, it won’t be hard for him to have his best game of the season because that would only take more than 14-points. If you are looking to punt with a low owned TE this week, then maybe clipping this coupon on Ertz is worth a look.
