Full Court Press:
Boston Celtics @ Indiana Pacers
Vegas Total: 215
Vegas Spread: Bos -2.0
Starting with the Celtics, Jaylen Brown is out for this game which gives a boost to the rest of the lineup, here is how they grade out…
- Jayson Tatum – 31.9% usage rate; 1.29 fpm
- Kemba Walker – 28.9% usage rate; 1.22 fpm
- Marcus Smart – 20.8% usage rate; 0.98 fpm
- Gordon Hayward – 24% usage rate; 1.13 fpm
Although these guys do see a boost without Brown, it’s a tough matchup that has smothered wings and guards all season long. On a bigger slate, I’m not so high on them but if you land on them as a filler or piece in your GPP I won’t talk you off of them. From the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon is still out here while Victor Oladipo will likely be questionable for every game the rest of the season. Domantas Sabonis scored 49 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. The Celtics don’t have a lot of defense in the frontcourt, so he makes for a very nice option and has been so consistent all season long. TJ Warren makes for a solid GPP option, but I would like him more if Oladipo sat. Myles Turner continues to put up nice numbers, he’s scored at least 34 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. Lastly, I would expect Aaron Holiday draws the start for Brogdon again, he hasn’t done a whole lot lately but is a fine dart throw for GPPs.
5-star play: Domantas Sabonis
4-star play: Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, TJ Warren, Myles Turner
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Marcus Smart, Gordon Hayward, Aaron Holiday
New York Knicks @ Washington Wizards
Vegas Total: 227
Vegas Spread: Was -4.0
Starting with the Knicks, Julius Randle should be able to do what he wants here against a pretty bad frontcourt, he’s AVERAGING 50.8 DraftKings points in three matchups against the Wizards this season. Elfrid Payton in a pace up spot is something I like quite a bit, he makes for a nice GPP option and has triple-double upside whenever he takes the floor. RJ Barrett has scored at least 27 DraftKings points in five of his last six games, there’s nothing I love about him here, but he’s playable for GPPs just don’t pair him with Payton. Lastly, Mitchell Robinson continues to play good basketball and makes sense here for GPPs due to his upside. From the Wizards, Bradley Beal came back down to Earth last game, but he’s averaging 44.5 DraftKings points per game against the Knicks this season and his playing nearly 40 minutes per game, it’s tough not to like him here. Davis Bertans has at least 31 fantasy points in four of his last five games and if he can get hot from behind the arch always has a chance to hit GPP value. Rui Hachimura is getting good minutes but just doing absolutely nothing with them, he’s more of a secondary GPP option at best. With Ish Smith still out, Shabazz Napier should start at point guard and finally had his coming out party last game when he dropped 51 DraftKings points, I’ll go right back to him here.
5-star play: Julius Randle, Bradley Beal
4-star play: Elfrid Payton, Mitchell Robinson, Davis Bertans, Shabazz Napier
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: RJ Barrett, Rui Hachimura
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Houston Rockets
Vegas Total: 244.5
Vegas Spread: Hou -12.5
Starting with the Timberwolves, D’Angelo Russell isn’t in the best form, but with Towns still out he has a 28% usage rate and 1.32 fantasy points per minute, you can make a case for him in GPPs especially in such a fast-paced game environment. Malik Beasley continues to play great basketball, I would expect this to continue making him a great cash option in his price range, I love him here for all formats, he feels too cheap. Juancho Hernangomez fits this game environment well, as the Rockets try to go small he could be out there in the Wolves’ small-ball lineup, I like him as a GPP option. Naz Reid is another guy that fits this game well, he’s scored 40+ fantasy points in two of his last four and makes sense here. From the Rockets, James Harden draws an elite matchup here against a fast-paced team that plays zero defense. He’s averaging 52.4 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Wolves this season, tough not to like his upside here. Russell Westbrook might be my preferred option of the two, however, due to his lower price. He is averaging 63 DraftKings points in two games against the Wolves this season and is really benefitting from this small ball lineup they’re running. Robert Covington is the final guy on this team that I have interest in, he has seen his rebound equity skyrocket on this team and is really playing well as a power forward.
5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook
4-star play: Robert Covington, D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Naz Reid, Juancho Hernangomez, James Johnson
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Chicago Bulls
Vegas Total:
Vegas Spread:
Starting with the Bulls, Zach LaVine has been ruled out for this game and we actually already have a starting lineup. Coby White will draw his first start as a pro, but the kid has earned it. He has at least 35 DraftKings points in seven of his last eight games and has a 29.1% usage rate and 1.22 fantasy points per minute over the past two weeks. Tomas Satoransky was pulled from the starting lineup which takes the shine off of him a bit as this team begins to get healthy again. Thad Young is another guy that was pulled from the starting lineup in favor of Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter, he will still get minutes as these guys are eased in, however, but more of a secondary option at the most. Shaq Harrison will start again and has scored at least 30 DraftKings points in three straight games and makes sense as a GPP option as well. From the Cavaliers, Andre Drummond should see great minutes here as Tristan Thompson has already been ruled out. He has at least 57 DraftKings points in two straight games and I’m willing to go right back to the well on him with his minutes secured. Kevin Love has been very consistent as of late, he’s gone for at least 40 DraftKings points in five straight games and in a great matchup here I like his chances to keep that going. Larry Nance’s minutes didn’t budge with Drummond back last game, they seem determined to get him run so I don’t mind him for GPPs as he continues to play good basketball. Lastly, Collin Sexton has seen his price come way up, but for good reason, he’s seeing nearly 40 minutes per game with Garland out and producing very well. He makes a lot of sense in all formats.
5-star play: Coby White, Andre Drummond, Kevin Love
4-star play: Shaq Harrison, Larry Nance, Collin Sexton
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Denzel Valentine
Dallas Mavericks @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 224.5
Vegas Spread: Sas -5.0
Starting with the Spurs, it sounds like both Dejounte Murray and LaMarcus Aldridge will miss this game again, here is how the rest of the team shakes out with him off the court this season…
- DeMar DeRozan – 21.9% usage rate; 1.31 fpm
- Rudy Gay – 23.4% usage rate; 1.00 fpm
- Trey Lyles – 24.1% usage rate; 1.07 fpm
- Derrick White – 20.4% usage rate; 1.03 fpm
I would expect Derrick White to takeover that starting spot for Murray and is priced very nicely, he’s a great value option. DeRozan will be your spend up option from this team and should have the offense flow through him. From the Mavericks, Luka Doncic is questionable yet again here, but if he suits up is an elite play. He is averaging 64.4 DraftKings points per game three games against the Spurs this season. Kristaps Porzingis’s knee is obviously feeling much better. He has at least 62 DraftKings points in three of his last four games and makes for an elite option here even with Doncic in. Seth Curry is out here meaning more minutes and usage for Delon Wright and Tim Hardaway.
5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis
4-star play: Trey Lyles, Delon Wright, Tim Hardaway, Derrick White
Deeper Value: Bryn Forbes, Patty Mills
GPP Sleeper: Rudy Gay, Delon Wright, Trey Lyles
Orlando Magic @ Memphis Grizzlies
Vegas Total: 223
Vegas Spread: Mem -2.0
Starting with the Magic, Nikola Vucevic has been in great form, scoring at least 46 DraftKings points in four straight games and scored 59.5 in this spot earlier this season, it’s tough to ignore him here. Aaron Gordon is playing huge minutes right now and being very productive with them, his price has come down a bit which makes him more playable and coming off a 47.5 point fantasy night last time out. I love him in pace up games. Terrence Ross continues to put up nice numbers and has at least 30 fantasy points in five of his last six games, he’s picking up a good deal of that Evan Fournier slack. Markelle Fultz is priced right about where he should be, I do like him a bit more with Fournier out, however. From the Grizzlies, Jonas Valanciunas is coming off a 58.75 fantasy point outing against the Hawks. This is a bit of a tougher matchup and he feels overpriced to me as he saw a $900 increase on DraftKings. Ja Morant can be very volatile but scored 46.25 DraftKings points last time out, he’s an elite GPP option. I may or may not have an addiction to playing Dillon Brooks, he shoots so much and if he could just shoot 50% one night he would go nuts, he’s a nice GPP option.
5-star play: Nikola Vucevic
4-star play: Aaron Gordon, Terrence Ross, Markelle Fultz, Dillon Brooks, Ja Morant
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Markelle Fultz, Ja Morant
Phoenix Suns @ Portland Trailblazers

Starting with the Suns, Devin Booker is playing massive minutes as of late and has scored at least 50 DraftKings points in two straight games and is also averaging 50.4 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Blazers this season, it’s tough not to like him here. DeAndre Ayton is questionable here as he tries to hurry back before Aron Baynes steals this man’s career… joking aside, if he plays without restrictions it’s tough not to like him as I’ve been streaming centers against Hassan Whiteside all season. That said, if he misses, Baynes just put up 69 fantasy points in this matchup over the weekend and would be a great play again. Ricky Rubio dropped 70 fantasy points on the Bucks last time out, his minutes are back up and he’s clearly playing better, he’s a very solid option on this slate. From the Blazers, Damian Lillard hasn’t bee quite as good since returning from injury, that said he’s averaging 41.6 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Suns this season. Hassan Whiteside is terrible on defense but a great offensive option which makes him good for DFS. He’s averaging 49.2 DraftKings points per game on the Suns this season and makes a lot of sense here. Speaking of success against the Suns, CJ McCollum is averaging 45.2 DraftKings points per game as well and has seen his price come back down to a playable level.
5-star play: Devin Booker, Hassan Whiteside
4-star play: Ricky Rubio, Aron Baynes (if Ayton is out), Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Carmelo Anthony
Los Angeles Clippers @ Golden State Warriors
Vegas Total:

Starting with the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is averaging 51 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Warriors this season, he’s an elite play here even though he’s seen his production come down a bit. Paul George has seen his minutes come back up to the 30’s range, he makes sense as a secondary option here as well coming off one of his better games in a while, dropping 50 fantasy points on the Lakers. Montrezl Harrell seems to have found some consistency, he’s scored at least 34 DraftKings points in three of his last four games and should be able to do whatever he wants against this Warriors frontcourt. Lastly, Lou Williams is more of a GPP option as well, but certainly playable at a cheap price tag. From the Warriors, Steph Curry is questionable for this game with an illness so keep an eye on that. He played 27 minutes in his first game back and I would expect him to be around 30 here, I don’t hate him in GPPs as he can put up points in a hurry. Andrew Wiggins is so damn frustrating, he had a great opportunity with Curry out last game and did nothing with it, I like him more if Curry is out but is a fine GPP play regardless. Marquese Chriss has seen his minutes come back up and we know the Clippers struggle with opposing big men, he’s scored at least 43 DraftKings points in two straight games as well. Lastly, Eric Paschall should continue to see Draymond Green’s minutes, both he and Damion Lee are solid secondary options.
5-star play: Kawhi Leonard
4-star play: Montrezl Harrell, Paul George, Steph Curry, Marquese Chriss
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Andrew Wiggins, Eric Paschall, Damion Lee
Brooklyn Nets @ Los Angeles Lakers
Vegas Total:
Vegas Spread:
Starting with the Lakers, it’s really just LeBron James and Anthony Davis here for me, both guys are elite plays but I would tend to lean Davis here as he’s cheaper with similar upside. That said, LeBron went on a tear over the weekend. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him sit, as he’s questionable with a sore groin, they have no reason to push him here in a game they should win. If he does sit, Davis would become one of my favorite plays on the slate, as I continue to attack big men against the Nets. From the Nets, Caris LeVert continues to play great basketball and has an elite ceiling now that Kyrie is off the court. Spencer Dinwiddie has taken the backseat between the two guards and feels like one of them will have a big night on most nights, but not both of them, so do not pair the two! That about wraps up my interest from this team unless you want to take a GPP dart on Joe Harris or Taurean Prince. I should mention that DeAndre Jordan is playing good basketball right now and they may need his size to help guard Anthony Davis.
5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis
4-star play: Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, DeAndre Jordan, Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris
