Full Court Press:
Denver Nuggets @ Indiana Pacers
Vegas Total:
Vegas Spread:
We don’t have a total on this game yet, but I can’t imagine it’s very high, so we start off with a bit of a snoozer. Starting with the Nuggets, I like the price on Nikola Jokic but I don’t like the pace or the matchup. He also has some pretty hefty home/road splits this season, averaging 11 fewer Draftkings points per game on the road for what it’s worth. Will Barton has scored at least 32 Draftkings points in three straight games and is a solid GPP play. Jamal Murray is a GPP play as well due to the massive ceiling he has but can be very volatile. Lastly, Paul Millsap is a secondary option that I never mind as a filler play. From the Pacers, this is a tough matchup for Domanatas Sabonis but he’s been so consistent this season that I’m willing to look past it. He gets an even bigger boost with Malcolm Brogdon considered doubtful here. Aaron Holiday will likely start in Brogdon’s place and be a fine option in a bad matchup. Myles Turner, TJ Warren, and Jeremy Lamb are all strictly GPP plays due to the bad matchup.
5-star play: None
4-star play: Nikola Jokic, Will Barton, Paul Millsap, Domantas Sabonis
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Aaron Holiday, Jamal Murray, Myles Turner, TJ Warren, Jeremy Lamb
Charlotte Hornets @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Vegas Total: 210
Vegas Spread: Cle -2.0
Starting with the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham is playing a crazy amount of minutes right now and anybody playing that kind of minutes against this Cavs team is in play for me. Terry Rozier scored 51.8 Draftkings points in this matchup earlier this season putting him in play again here. PJ Washington has flashed some upside recently and is priced nicely, I don’t hate him as a GPP option. Miles Bridges has been pretty volatile here so he’s GPP only until the consistency comes back. From the Cavs, Kevin Love dropped 50 Draftkings points against the Hornets earlier this season, they struggle against opposing big men, I like Love here. The same can be said for Tristan Thompson, however, I don’t like the price tag on him. Collin Sexton has gained some consistency both in minutes and production recently and with Jordan Clarkson gone, I expect this to continue. Lastly, Cedi Osman is a fine secondary cash option.
5-star play: Devonte’ Graham, Kevin Love
4-star play: Terry Rozier, Tristan Thompson, PJ Washington
Deeper Value: Cedi Osman
GPP Sleeper: Collin Sexton, Miles Bridges
Golden State Warriors @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Vegas Total:
Vegas Spread:
Starting with the Warriors we have a good amount of injury news to sort thru here. D’Angelo Russell and Willie Cauley-Stein will both miss this game which will open up two spots in the starting lineup and open up a good amount of usage. With those guys off the court, this season Alec Burks leads the team in usage at 25.6% and over a fantasy point per minute which puts him firmly in play. I also like Damion Lee to take a good amount of usage in this offense with his recent production. Draymond Green has been playing pretty well as of late and I like him to get a lot of ball-handling opportunities here. Marquese Chriss has scored at least 29 Draftkings points in two straight and should see some center minutes here as well. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is questionable here so that’s a big piece of news we will need to watch for. I’ll assume he’s in for the sake of this article, however he’s missed a good amount of time, if he does play I’ll use it as a wait-and-see game. Andrew Wiggins is questionable here as well, I’m less worried about him if he plays you can fire him up. Gorgui Dieng will fill in if KAT misses and makes for an elite play if so. Both Robert Covington and Jeff Teague are GPP guys for me on this big slate.
5-star play: Alec Burks, Damion Lee, Andrew Wiggins
4-star play: Robert Covington, Jeff Teague, Marquese Chriss, Draymond Green
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Robert Covington, Jeff Teague, Marquese Chriss
Toronto Raptors @ Miami Heat
Vegas Total: 215.0
Vegas Spread: Mia -6.0
Starting with the Raptors, Kyle Lowry continues to play a boatload of minutes and produce nicely. He may get some Jimmy Butler defense here, but the opportunity is too big for me to ignore. The same can be said for Fred VanVleet with Siakam and Powell both out still. Serge Ibaka has 33+ Draftkings points in three straight games and makes sense again here. Lastly, I like OG Anunoby for GPPs as we have seen him put up some big games this season. From the Heat, Jimmy Butler saw his price come back up to where it should be for this game. The guy is playing a ton of minutes right now and has 40 or more Draftkings points in three straight. Bam Adebayo still feels too cheap for me even though he’s coming off two bad games, with Gasol and Siakam out this is a pretty good matchup. Goran Dragic is a solid GPP play while Kendrick Nunn is more of a GPP flyer. Lastly, you can make a case for Tyler Herro as a secondary cash play as well.
5-star play: Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry
4-star play: Fred VanVleet, Goran Dragic, Serge Ibaka
Deeper Value: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
GPP Sleeper: Kendrick Nunn, Tyler Herro
Oklahoma City Thunder @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 218.5
Vegas Spread: Sas -2.5
Starting with the Thunder, it looks like everyone is healthy and ready to go here. The point guards draw the best matchups as the Spurs have struggled against opposing guards all season, so Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Dennis Schroeder all make sense here. Steven Adams scored just 19 Draftkings points in this spot earlier this season, I don’t necessarily love him, but he’s a fine option. Danilo Gallinari, on the other hand, scored 40 Draftkings points, I like going back to the well with him. From the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge is kina playing out of his mind right now scoring 45+ Draftkings points in three of his last four games, I like him in hopes he stays hot here. DeMar DeRozan is also in good form scoring 40+ Draftkings points in three of his last four, he makes for a nice cash option as well. Dejounte Murray feels priced about right here but we’ve seen him be an elite point per minute guy at points this season, I don’t hate him for GPPs.
5-star play: Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMar DeRozan
4-star play: Danilo Gallinari, Dennis Schroeder, Dejounte Murray
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Dejounte Murray, Steven Adams
Brooklyn Nets @ Dallas Mavericks
Vegas Total:
Vegas Spread:
Starting with the Nets, Spencer Dinwiddie now has 55+ Draftkings points in two of his last four games proving his elite upside, I like him here as he has shown a very consistently high floor as well. Jarrett Allen has been pretty up and down over the past week or so, but I like him as a GPP option here. Taurean Prince is always a GPP option at the very least due to the amount of stats he can produce across the board. Lastly, Joe Harris makes sense for GPPs as well in hopes he can get his shot in a rhythm. From the Mavs, Luka Doncic is one of the better raw options on the slate due to the matchups, I don’t need to tell you that he’s an elite play here. Kristaps Porzingis is questionable here, but for the sake of this article, we’ll operate under the assumption that he’s in. He still feels too expensive for me even in a great matchup. Dwight Powell has at least 25 Draftkings points in five straight so you can make a case for him, but the rest of this team is GPP plays for me.
5-star play: Luka Doncic, Spencer Dinwiddie
4-star play: Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince, Joe Harris, Dwight Powell
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Taurean Prince, Dwight Powell
Utah Jazz @ Chicago Bulls
Vegas Total: 210.5
Vegas Spread: Utah -3.5
Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell has 40+ Draftkings points in seven of his last ten games and is showing some consistency, I like him here. Rudy Gobert continues to play 37-38 minutes per game and could be in for a good ole Barbara Walters game here (20/20). Both Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovic are playing well with Mike Conley off the court, they make for nice secondary options. From the Bulls, Lauri Markkanen feels a bit too priced up for this matchup, I’ll wait for a better spot on him. Zach LaVine is probable here, but similar to Markkanen and the rest of this team really, the Jazz play great defense so he’s just a GPP play for me. Wendell Carter hasn’t flashed any sort of upside that warrants this price tag so he’s a fade for me especially in this matchup. Lastly, Tomas Satoransky has scored 35+ Draftkings points in five of his last six games and makes sense here as a mid-range option.
5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert
4-star play: Joe Ingles, Bojan Bogdanovic, Zach LaVine, Tomas Satoransky
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Lauri Markkanen
Memphis Grizzlies @ Sacramento Kings
Vegas Total: 222.5
Vegas Spread: Sac -4.5
Starting with the Grizzlies, Jaren Jackson has played very good basketball as of late and has scored 41.8 Draftkings points in this matchup already this season. He makes for a nice matchup but preferred for GPPs. Jonas Valanciunas has shown a massive ceiling this season and with Bagley out here, it’s tough not to like him. Ja Morant hasn’t really flashed that huge of a ceiling, you can make a case for him as a secondary play, but I’ll probably go elsewhere. Brandon Clarke and Dillion Brooks both make fine secondary GPP options as well. I love the price on De’Aaron Fox here since the Grizzlies have struggled with guards all season. He scored 37.3 Draftkings points earlier in this spot and I love the game total on this one. Richaun Holmes scored 41 Draftkings points in this matchup already this season and with Bagley already ruled out, he’s firmly in play. Nemanja Bjelica is more of a GPP option, but he’ll see extended run with Bagley out. Buddy Hield struggled in this spot earlier this year but he’s always in play for tournaments due to his upside. Lastly, Bogdan Bogdanovic is a secondary cash play at the very best with Fox back.
5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Jonas Valanciunas
4-star play: Jaren Jackson, Ja Morant, Richaun Holmes, Buddy Hield
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Brandon Clarke, Dillion Brooks
Detroit Pistons @ Los Angeles Clippers
Vegas Total:
Vegas Spread:
Starting with the Pistons, Andre Drummond is probable here and feels very underpriced, the center position is the one position that the Clippers have struggled to guard this season. Drummond should be able to do whatever he wants here. Blake Griffin is doubtful here, so Drummond should see an increase in usage and rebound percentage at the very least. With Blake, Kennard, and Morris off the court this season, Derrick Rose has a 36.3% usage rate and 1.5 fantasy points per minute. It’s a tough matchup but it’s tough not to like. You can make a case for Bruce Brown as well. From the Clippers, I can’t talk you off of Paul George or Kawhi Leonard here, both are elite plays. Lou Williams’ price has come back up, he’s a GPP only play for me. The will need Montrezl Harrell’s size so maybe he sees some extended run here, I like him as a GPP option as well. Lastly, Ivica Zubac has actually been pretty good as of late and makes sense as a value GPP option.
5-star play: Andre Drummond, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George
4-star play: Derrick Rose, Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams
Deeper Value: Ivica Zubac
GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell
