Full Court Press:

Detroit Pistons @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 233

Vegas Spread: Was -1.5

We’ve got some day basketball on our hands for all of us who like to follow basketball while trying to work! We will start with the Pistons, this is a great matchup for the whole lineup particularly Andre Drummond. The Wizards simply don’t have the size to match up with him down low, he is averaging 43.5 Draftkings points per game in this matchup this season. Derrick Rose has scored 40+ Draftkings points in two of his last three games and is really getting the minutes he’s been asking for. The price is higher than I would like but this is a great matchup. Svi Mykhailiuk has at least 32 Draftkings points in back to back game and seems to be finding his stride, he’s a nice GPP option. I loved Sekou Doumbouya in his last matchup with the Hawks and he completely dudded. He gets a similarly great matchup here, I like going back to the well on him. From the Wizards, Bradley Beal has played very limited minutes since returning from injury and they are trending in the wrong direction. That said, the price is way down so I have no issue going here in GPPs in case they come back up here. With Beal back in, I think Jordan McRae is a bit too expensive and I’ll wait for that price to come down a bit, he’s also questionable here. Troy Brown has seen his minutes fluctuate over the past week, he’s more of a GPP option for me. Ish Smith continues to play well but with Bradley Beal back I would expect his shots and usage to go down, more of a deep GPP option for me. Davis Bertans has seen his minutes increase slowly over his past few games and I would expect him to be around the 30 mark here, I love the price on him even in a tougher matchup.

5-star play: Andre Drummond

4-star play: Derrick Rose, Svi Mykhailiuk, Sekou Doumbouya, Bradley Beal, Ish Smith, Davis Bertans

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Ish Smith, Troy Brown, Bradley Beal

Toronto Raptors @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Total: 231

Vegas Spread: Tor -8.0

Starting with the Raptors, Pascal Siakam has seen his minutes trend in the wrong direction since returning from injury. That said, this is an elite matchup and one that he has scored 50 Draftkings points already this season. I love him for GPPs hoping he gets back to his old self.  Kyle Lowry currently leads the league in minutes but has seen them come down over the past two games, but I’m relating those to blowouts, he’s in a good spot here. Serge Ibaka has been held under 27 fantasy points in three straight games and with Siakam and Gasol back he’s not my favorite option. Lastly, Fred VanVleet returned to score 48 Draftkings points last game, it’s tough not to like him in this matchup. From the Hawks, Trae Young scored 64.5 Draftkings points in this matchup earlier this season. He’s an elite GPP option. John Collins isn’t in the greatest form and this is a pretty bad matchup for him, he’s more of a GPP option as well. Kevin Huerter’s price is too high for me to really want to go here, secondary option at best on him. Lastly, Jeff Teague performed well in his first game as a Hawk, he makes for a decent secondary GPP option.

5-star play: Kyle Lowry, Trae Young

4-star play: Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, John Collins, Jeff Teague

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Serge Ibaka, Kevin Huerter, Jeff Teague

Philadelphia 76ers @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Sixers, Ben Simmons is playing huge minutes and has at least 43 Draftkings points in five straight games, this is a nice matchup for him with Embiid still out. Tobias Harris has come back to Earth after his massive game a few games ago, this is an elite spot as we love targeting big men against the Nets. He’s averaging 43.8 Draftkings points per game in this matchup this season. Al Horford is questionable here, I like him if he plays, again big men against the Nets is a real thing. He is averaging 37.9 Draftkings points in two games against the Nets this season. Lastly, Josh Richardson is a secondary cash option on a big slate. From the Nets, Kyrie Irving has seen zero minute restriction since returning from injury and his price is simply too cheap here. Spencer Dinwiddie is not my favorite option at this price with Kyrie back in the lineup, he’s a deep GPP option only. Jarrett Allen is averaging 25.8 Draftkings points per game in two games against the Sixers this season and will see quite the bump if Horford is forced to miss. Lastly, Taurean Prince is a fine GPP option if you land on him.

5-star play: Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, Kyrie Irving

4-star play: Josh Richardson, Al Horford, Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince

Deeper Value: Matisse Thybulle

GPP Sleeper: Jarrett Allen, Josh Richardson

Sacramento Kings @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 222.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -5.5

Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has at least 56 Draftkings points in three of his last four games, but I don’t love the price tag or the matchup. He’s an elite GPP play at the very least. Nemanja Bjelica has at least 37 Draftkings points in three of his last four games and really playing nice minutes, he’s a secondary option. Buddy Hield’s price has come down and playing a ton of minutes, it’s not a great matchup but he’s a nice GPP option. Harrison Barnes is a guy that I rarely get to because he has pretty much zero upside. Marvin Bagley is made of paper mache apparently, if he plays he’s priced at a point where I don’t think you can ignore him. Lastly, Bogdan Bogdanovic is priced too high for his role right now. From the Heat, Bam Adebayo has been kind of volatile as of late, I don’t love the matchup for him, but he’s still a solid GPP play due to his upside. Jimmy Butler is coming off a dud game last time out but is still playing huge minutes, I like him as a secondary play here. Justise Winslow didn’t waste any time getting back on the injury report, he’s going to go see a specialist on his back, but will be out for this one. This means a boost for Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, and Tyler Herro. Dragic and Nunn are GPP options while I’ll likely fade Herro who is questionable anyway.

5-star play: Bam Adebayo, De’Aaron Fox

4-star play: Jimmy Butler, Marvin Bagley, Buddy Hield, Nemanja Bjelica, Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kendrick Nunn, Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley

Chicago Bulls @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: 226

Vegas Spread: Mil -14.5

Starting with the Bulls, Zach LaVine has been playing out of his mind and playing a ton of minutes, I like him here as he saw his price go down after dropping 68.5 Draftkings points last game. Lauri Markkanen has just felt overpriced over the past few weeks, he’s a deep GPP play at best due to his recent form. Lastly, Tomas Satoransky, Kris Dunn, and Thaddeus Young make sense as deep GPP options if you want to get more exposure to this game. Luke Kornet also makes sense as he’ll likely get a lot of the center minutes here. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the guy on this team but it’s hard to project his minutes as the Bucks blow so many teams out. That said, he’s averaging 57.3 Draftkings points against the Bulls in three matchups this season. Khris Middleton is actually at a really affordable price tag here and scored 41 Draftkings points in his only matchup with the Bulls this year. Eric Bledsoe isn’t in great form and has been held under 23 fantasy points in three straight games, I’ll wait for him to be in better shape. Lastly, Brook Lopez and Donte DiVincenzo make for nice GPP options, especially DiVincenzo, I love the price on him.

5-star play: Zach LaVine, Giannis Antetkounmpo

4-star play: Tomas Satoransky, Kris Dunn, Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo

Deeper Value: George Hill

GPP Sleeper: Kris Dunn, Coby White, Brook Lopez, Eric Bledsoe, Luke Kornet

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 229

Vegas Spread: Hou -6.5

Starting with the Thunder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in great form here and is averaging 35.5 Draftkings points per game in two games against the Rockets this season. Steven Adams is banged up and I really don’t like the matchup as well, he’s a pretty easy fade for me here. Chris Paul is averaging 35 Draftkings points per game in two games against the Rockets this season, he makes for a nice cash game play. Danilo Gallinari makes sense as a secondary play in all formats while Dennis Schroeder is more of a GPP play as he’s not in the best of form. From the Rockets, James Harden just hasn’t been up near we want him to be at this price tag lately. That said, he has one of the highest upsides in the league, he’s an elite GPP play. Russell Westbrook is averaging 45.8 Draftkings points per game in two games in this revenge game for him. Clint Capela has struggled in both games in this matchup this season, he’s right there with Adams as a pretty easy fade for me.

5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook

4-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chris Paul, Danilo Gallinari

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Steven Adams, Dennis Schroeder

Orlando Magic @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Total: 207.5

Vegas Spread: Orl -4.0

This game has one of the lower totals on the day and slate, so it may be tough to find guys I like playing here but we’ll give it a go. Starting with the Magic, Nikola Vucevic isn’t in the greatest form over his past few games but I can see the Hornets struggling to guard him. He’s a nice GPP play. Markelle Fultz has seen his price come up to a point where I don’t love him in a slow-paced matchup. Lastly, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier are fine secondary options, but nobody that I’m in love with. From the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham has at least 44 Draftkings points in two of his last three games and his price is back down to a point where I think he’s playable. Terry Rozier is at a similar price tag and has at least 36 Draftkings points in seven of his last eight games. PJ Washington has shown some upside lately, but that about concludes my interest in anyone in this game.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic

4-star play: Terry Rozier, Devonte’ Graham

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Markelle Fultz, PJ Washington, Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon

New York Knicks @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: 221

Vegas Spread: Cle -1.5

Starting with the Knicks, Julius Randle is averaging 46.5 Draftkings points per game in two games against the Cavs this season. Tristan Thompson keeps big men close to the hoop which normally boosts their rebounding numbers. RJ Barrett has been ruled out for this game, below are the guys who benefit most from his injury…

  • Julius Randle – 27.7% usage rate; 1.21 fantasy points per minute
  • Marcus Morris – 26.1% usage rate; 1.01 fantasy points per minute

There isn’t a huge sample size on him being out so we will need to keep an eye on this team for future games as it sounds like he’ll miss more than a few games. The biggest benefactor in the backcourt to me would be Elfrid Payton who will take a lot more of the ball-handling duties.

From the Cavs, Kevin Love feels far too cheap here but struggled in this matchup earlier this season, I don’t hate him for GPPs. This isn’t a great matchup for Tristan Thompson but you can go there as a secondary play due to his recent form. Collin Sexton has played very consistently lately and is averaging 30.6 Draftkings points per game in two games against the Knicks this season. Lastly, Darius Garland has 30+ Draftkings points in three of his last five games and is in a similar spot as Sexton.

5-star play: Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton

4-star play: Kevin Love, Collin Sexton, Tristan Thompson, Marcus Morris

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Mitchell Robinson, Darius Garland

New Orleans Pelicans @ Memphis Grizzlies

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

This game should have one of the higher totals on the slate making it a fantasy gold mine. Starting with the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has been very consistent this season and also shown a nice ceiling, he’s a great play here. Jrue Holiday is questionable here if he is out again Lonzo Ball will play all the minutes he can handle again and has scored at least 50 Draftkings points in three of his last four games. Derrick Favors has at least 43 Draftkings points in two straight games, I like him if he’s good to go here. From the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has looked incredible over his past week or so. He has at least 39.75 Draftkings points in four of his last five games making him viable at an elevated price tag. Jonas Valanciunas should be able to do whatever he wants against this undersized Pels frontcourt, I love him for GPPs at a very good price tag. Lastly, Jaren Jackson and Dillion Brooks make sense as secondary plays.

5-star play: Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball

4-star play: Ja Morant, Jonas Valanciunas, Dillion Brooks, Jaren Jackson

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jonas Valanciunas, Jaren Jackson, Derrick Favors

Los Angeles Lakers @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

This game starts off the night slate of this full day of Basketball, we will start with the Lakers. Anthony Davis is questionable, as usual, if he plays he’s a great play, if he sits it makes LeBron James one of the better plays on the slate. Kyle Kuzma would slide into the starting lineup if AD misses and would become a decent mid-range option. Both Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee are in pretty good form and would become even better plays if AD sits, so that’s really a situation we want to keep an eye on. The Celtics are pretty banged up as well and sort of difficult to analyze until we have more news on them. Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown are both questionable here, but we will operate under the assumption that they play for the sake of this article. Jayson Tatum had a massive game last time out but this is a very difficult matchup, I would be more in on him if Brown or Walker was ruled out. Marcus Smart is coming off a career game where he scored 68 Draftkings points, I suspect the public may do some point chasing here so I will fade unless Kemba is ruled out again, then you can go right back to the well on him.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis, (Celtics TBD)

4-star play: Kyle Kuzma (If Davis sits), JaVale McGee, Dwight Howard, (Celtics TBD)

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kyle Kuzma (If Davis sits), JaVale McGee, Dwight Howard, (Celtics TBD)

Denver Nuggets @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 219

Vegas Spread: Min -2.5

Starting with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic is averaging 50 Draftkings points per game in two matchups with the Wolves this season. I like him here as the matchup with KAT does not scare me. Jamal Murray will be out again here and Will Barton has stepped up accordingly in his two games with Murray off the court, I love the matchup as well. He will take on a much bigger role in this offense and is a nice play again here. Monte Morris and Malik Beasley will take over the point guard minutes, they’ve been pretty volatile in their bigger roles, they’re both GPP plays in a good matchup. Michael Porter Jr’s price tag has skyrocketed but for good reason. He will see a minutes bump with Murray off the court as well, but makes for an intriguing GPP fade as they are careful with the youngster’s minutes. From the Wolves, there is a bit of news here as Jeff Teague was traded on Thursday which will free up minutes for guys like Shabazz Napier and Jarrett Culver, both are nice secondary options here. Karl-Anthony Towns has finally returned from injury but not really in good form, I’ll wait until he’s back up to where he was pre-injury. Andrew Wiggins finally bounced back with a huge 52 point fantasy night last time out, it’s not a great matchup, but he’s a nice GPP play due to his upside. On the other hand, Robert Covington has scored 35+ Draftkings points in three of his last five games, he’s a nice secondary option.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Will Barton

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins, Robert Covington, Jarrett Culver, Shabazz Napier, Karl-Anthony Towns

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jarrett Culver, Monte Morris, Michael Porter, Malik Beasley

Indiana Pacers @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 217

Vegas Spread: Utah -7.0

Starting with the Pacers, this is a tough tough matchup for Domantas Sabonis who bounced back very nicely after a dud game against the Wolves to put up 58.25 against the Nuggets yesterday. The price is reflective of the matchup, I like him here. Malcolm Brogdon has played at least 31 minutes in each of his three games since returning from injury, you can certainly go back to him here. TJ Warren is coming off a big game against the Timberwolves and looked decent against the Nuggets, he’s a nice GPP option. Myles Turner will need to deal with Rudy Gobert down low and struggled in this matchup last time out. He’s a GPP option as well. From the Jazz, Rudy Gobert has at least 56 Draftkings points in two of his last three games and is playing great basketball right now. Donovan Mitchell hasn’t been in great form and kind of struggled here in their previous matchup. Both Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles have played well as of late and make sense in all formats until Mike Conley gets back up to speed.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Rudy Gobert

4-star play: TJ Warren, Myles Turner, Donovan Mitchell, Malcolm Brogdon, Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Ingles

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: TJ Warren, Myles Turner

San Antonio Spurs @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 227

Vegas Spread: Pho -4.

Starting with the Spurs, DeMar DeRozan is on a tear right now and in a great matchup, he’s an elite play in all formats. LaMarcus Aldridge has bounced back a bit over his past two games and looked decent in this game earlier this season. Dejounte Murray ended up playing yesterday, but not well. I do like the matchup quite a bit and don’t mind going back to him in GPPs. From the Suns, Devin Booker is coming off a massive 69 point Draftkings night last time out and is in another nice spot here, he’s an elite option. The Spurs have struggled with opposing point guards all season long, I like Ricky Rubio as an option here as well. DeAndre Ayton is in great form and has scored at least 52 Draftkings points in his last two games. Kelly Oubre is expected to return for this game, I wouldn’t expect him to be on any kind of minutes limit, but keep an eye on his status.

5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, Devin Booker

4-star play: LaMarcus Aldridge, Dejounte Murray, Ricky Rubio, DeAndre Ayton, Kelly Oubre

Deeper Value: Derrick White

GPP Sleeper: Kelly Oubre, Dejounte Murray

Golden State Warriors @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Warriors, D’Angelo Russell has at least 50 Draftkings points in three of his last five games and gets a good matchup here as the Blazers don’t play a ton of defense. Damion Lee isn’t in great form, the price just doesn’t warrant where he is right now. I do like the price on Draymond Green however, he is always a triple-double threat. Lastly, Alec Burks is a fine GPP option, but nothing that I really love from him. From the Blazers, Damian Lillard has scored 45 Draftkings points in four straight games and sees a usage bump and point per minute bump with McCollum out. Hassan Whiteside has been a little volatile over the past few games, but this Warriors team doesn’t scare me down low, I like him for GPPs. Carmelo Anthony is pretty shot dependent making him a GPP only option. Lastly, Anferee Simons makes for a nice cash value option with McCollum out and Bazemore being traded.

5-star play: D’Angelo Russell, Damian Lillard, Hassan Whiteside

4-star play: Carmelo Anthony, Draymond Green

Deeper Value: Anferee Simons

GPP Sleeper: Carmelo Anthony, Damion Lee, Alec Burks
