Full Court Press:

Orlando Magic @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: ORL -6.5

From the Magic, I actually like the price tag on Nikola Vucevic, this is a great matchup and he hasn’t seen any kind of minute restriction since returning from injury and is playing good basketball. We all know that this Wizards front court is very undersized with all their injuries, so Vuc should feast here. Jonathan Isaac has been in good form and gets a similarly good matchup, but I like him more when he’s tasked with defending a star, and that isn’t the case here tonight. Aaron Gordon, Markelle Fultz, and Evan Fournier are all GPP options here in what should be a pace up matchup for the Magic, if I had to choose I’d go with Fournier.

From the Wizards, Bradley Beal is the question mark as he’s sat the last two games, if he sits it opens up a ton of value in this Wizards back court. With Wagner, Bryant, and Hachimura, Davis Bertans all out the Wizards are really thin in their front court as well. Ian Mahinmi, and Troy Brown Jr.,  should get all the minutes they can handle here. Mahinmi can’t stay on the floor like the rest of these guys but is still a solid play at this price tag. Isaiah Thomas has been solid and he’s pretty cheap here, especially if Beal sits. He’s a solid GPP option but not one I’m going out of my way to play. Gary Payton II should also see solid run here, along with Jordan McRae if Beal is out, as we saw what McRae could do last game. Garrison Matthews would also be in play again for cheap, but I don’t expect him to repeat that performance.

5-star plays: Nikola Vucevic, Bradley Beal (if he plays)

4-star plays: Ian Mahimni, Gary Payton II, Jordan McRae (if Beal sits), Jonathan Isaac, Markelle Fultz

Deeper Value: Garrison Matthews, Jordan McRae, Isaiah Thomas

GPP Sleeper: Garrison Matthews, Jordan McRae

Portland Trailblazers @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 222.5

Vegas Spread: POR -4.5

From the Blazers, this is a spot that Damian Lillard should be able to take advantage of the lack of defense from Elfrid Payton and big time players love playing in the garden. Speaking of which, Carmelo Anthony makes his return to the Garden after being let go by the Knicks, so you know he is going to want to show out as well. Hassan Whiteside is smashing everyone in sight lately, but the matchup is much pretty easy for him here, as the Knicks have been getting torched inside. CJ McCollum is a guy I never really get to when Lillard is active but I don’t hate him as a secondary guy here, but he sees the biggest usage dip since Melo joined the team.

From the Knicks, Julius Randle draws a nice matchup here, and is coming off one of his best games of the year, and has had back to back nice performances and the matchup is solid here as the Blazers are soft downlow.  Mitchell Robinson has been starting as of late as well, and I’ll have a ton of interest in him whether he starts or not, but I’d prefer him if he starts as like I said, Portland is getting torched inside as well. RJ Barrett has been picking it up as of late and is definitely in play here as he is still a little bit underpriced. Lastly, Elfrid Payton has been starting and playing well, and he has a great matchup here as Dame is not known for his defense. He’s known to put up big fantasy days when given the opportunity, and his minutes should be blowout proof.

5-star play: Damian Lillard, Julius Randle

4-star play: Carmelo Anthony, Mitchell Robinson, Hassan Whiteside, RJ Barrett, CJ McCollum

Deeper Value: Mitchell Robinson, Anfernee Simons

GPP Sleeper: Anfernee Simons

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: MIL -17.5

From the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is currently questionable for this game, so if he is out Gorgui Dieng is firmly in play here as he should draw the start as well, although I don’t love the matchup. Andrew Wiggins has found some consistency this season, he’s in a great spot here as well especially if KAT ends up sitting as he’ll dominate usage with the starters, however he missed last game as well, and if he sits then I’ll have a ton of interest in Jarrett Culver who smashed last time out. Jeff Teague has been playing really well lately as well, and he’s an even better play if KAT ends up sitting. Lastly, Robert Covington is a fine GPP option to fill in the last of your lineups, but he’s seen a reduction in minutes so he is risky. Shabazz Napier is also in play here, as he is dirt cheap and the Bucks have been giving up a good amount of FPs to opposing PGs. If KAT and Noah Vonleh end up sitting, it’ll also open the door for Naz Reid to get some minutes, and he showed last game he is a solid FPPM guy and he’s dirt cheap across the industry, he should see minutes if there is a blowout as well.

For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is a GTD decision right now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bucks rest him here, as this Bucks are already favored by 17.5, although he is probable. However, if he does play I won’t really be on him due to the blowout risk here as I don’t like to predict them, but if Giannis plays I don’t see a way the Wolves hang here, especially if KAT continues to be out. Khris Middleton seems to have made it back up to the 30-minute mark and he’s a solid play here but the upside isn’t as high with Bledsoe back, I’ll likely only play him if Giannis sits. Eric Bledsoe is back, but I’m taking a wait and see approach with him, especially given the blowout risk. For GPPs, Brook Lopez, also sees a boost if Giannis is out and he can get hot from behind the arc.. George Hill will also be popular here for value on a small slate, and he should see 20+ minutes and will get the garbage time minutes as well.

5-star play: Karl Anthony-Towns (if he plays), Giannis Antetokounmpo

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins, Jeff Teague, Shabazz Napier, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez, Gorgui Dieng (if KAT sits)

Deeper Value: Donte DiVincenzo, Pat Connaughton, Naz Reid (if KAT and Vonleh sits), Jarrett Culver

GPP Sleeper: Naz Reid (if both Vonleh and KAT sit), Jarrett Culver

Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: 218

Vegas Spread: LAL -11.0

Starting with the Suns, Devin Booker is a solid play here, as he has been heating up over the past week, and his price is still too low across the industry. Ricky Rubio is playing a ton of minutes and playing very well as of late. Kelly Oubre has been playing really well lately, as he put up a 50 burger the other night and can do so in a matchup like this as well. Lastly, Frank Kaminsky and Dario Saric may be fades here if Ayton plays, but I’ll have some interest in Frank if Ayton ends up sitting. Aron Baynes will also be playable if Ayton sits, but it looks like Ayton will play tonight, I don’t have any interest in home going up against AD.

Starting with the Lakers, it’s the LeBron James and Anthony Davis  show, they are both expected to play here, and I like the matchup for both of them. I’ll actually lean AD here if Ayton ends up starting as he won’t have to bang bodies with Baynes all night if that is the case. Both are elite plays as well, that said, I will not be pairing the two, you need to pick one here. If I’m picking one it is Anthony Davis, for the reasons stated above. Rajon Rondo makes sense for GPPs, but nothing else I really love from this team, Alex Caruso also makes for a deeper GPP play, but his usage has taken a hit with Avery Bradley returning.

5-star play: Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Devin Booker

4-star play: Ricky Rubio, Rajon Rondo

Deeper Value: Aron Baynes, Alex Caruso

GPP Sleeper: Aron Baynes, Alex Caruso, Rajon Rondo
