Full Court Press:

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 230

Vegas Spread: HOU -11.0

From the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is currently questionable for this game, so if he is out Gorgui Dieng is firmly in play here as he should draw the start as well, but the matchup isn’t the greatest against Capela. Andrew Wiggins has found some consistency this season, he’s in a great spot here as well especially if KAT ends up sitting as he’ll dominate usage with the starters, although the ceiling hasn’t been there lately. Jarrett Culver has shouldered some of the load offensively since KAT went down, and he’s been playing great over the last week, so I definitely have interest if he starts again. Jeff Teague has been playing really well lately as well, and he’s an even better play if KAT ends up sitting. Lastly, Robert Covington is a fine GPP option to fill in the last of your lineups, but he’s seen a reduction in minutes so he is risky, I’ll like him more if KAT and Vonleh are out, as it’ll lock his minutes in the 30ish range. Shabazz Napier is also in play here, as he’s been starting over Teague and draws a favorable matchup against Westbrook.

From the Rockets, James Harden and Russell Westbrook are both elite plays here, as they are every night, but this game isn’t on the main slate. Clint Capela has been smashing the past few games as well, but I don’t love the matchup against Dieng here, he’s firmly in play if Russ or Harden end up sitting this one out. PJ Tucker is always in play for GPPs, but he’ll have to contribute with his peripheral stats to make value here, and he has a low floor as well. Ben McLemore and Danuel House both make sense as lineup filling value plays as well, House moreso as he tends to start.

5-star plays: Russell Westbrook, James Harden

4-star plays: Andrew Wiggins, Clint Capela, Gorgui Dieng, Jarrett Culver

Deeper Value: Danuel House, PJ Tucker, Robert Covington

GPP Sleeper: Jarrett Culver

New Orleans Pelicans @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: 224

Vegas Spread: BOS -9.5

Starting with the Pelicans, Jrue Holiday is may be out again here which will open up shots and minutes for the rest of this team. With Holiday off the court this season, Brandon Ingram has a 31.1% usage rate and 1.34 fantasy points per minute. JJ Redick and Josh Hart will also see an increased opportunity here and make sense as secondary options after performing very well over the last few games. Both Derrick Favors and Lonzo Ball are in great form here and make for great secondary options and elite GPP options in hopes they stay hot. However, Favors exited last nights game with an injury so its something to keep an eye on there. If he ends up sitting, it puts Jaxson Hayes firmly in play here for value against a weak Boston interior.

Kemba Walker is firmly in play here, as the Pelicans bleed FPs to opposing PGs and he has a great matchup to bounce back over the past week. Gordon Hayward is also in play here, and draws a solid matchup as well, I’d slightly lean Hayward over Jaylen Brown who is also in play for GPPs. Lastly, Enes Kanter continues to play well, but Theis being back hinders his upside, but the matchup is there if he starts, as he won’t have to deal with Favors tonight. Jayson Tatum is also in play tonight, although he tends to take a backseat in games like these, so I’d prefer any of those guys (aside from Kanter) over him. Lastly, Daniel Theis is in play for value, but his upside is limited with Kanter healthy.

5-star play: Brandon Ingram, Kemba Walker

4-star play: Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, JJ Redick, Josh Hart, Lonzo Ball

Deeper Value: Jaxson Hayes, Daniel Theis, Enes Kanter

GPP Sleeper: Jaxson Hayes

Chicago Bulls @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 217

Vegas Spread: DET -4.0

From the Bulls, Lauri Markkanen feels a bit too priced up for this matchup, and even with Wendell Carter ruled out again, he has been playing horribly over the past few weeks. Zach LaVine is firmly in play here, as he should be able to do whatever he wants in this game as Detroit is pretty bad defensively against guards. Wendell Carter is still out for this game, so that puts both Thad Young and Daniel Gafford firmly in play, with my preference being Thad. Lastly, Tomas Satoransky has come down a bit over his past couple of games but I don’t hate the idea of going to him for GPPs if you land in that price range. Kris Dunn is also in play for value as Detroit really does struggle against guards.

From the Pistons, Andre Drummond is a premier play here as Blake has basically been shutdown for the year so Drummond will handle the load offensively, and the Bulls have been getting gashed inside by opposing big me, and he should be able to do whatever he wants against Lauri here. Derrick Rose has been playing well recently, and he gets a solid matchup here, and that will be boosted with Luke Kennard out again tonight, and if Morris is out as well so we have some value opening up here from the Pistons in the form of Christian Wood and Sekou Doumbaya, although Doumbaya’s price has come up across the industry. Langston Galloway makes sense as a deeper GPP play as well, but he is risky as he is scoring dependent but with Kennard out he sees a nice boost.

5-star play: Zach LaVine, Andre Drummond

4-star play: Lauri Markkanen, Derrick Rose, Sekou Doumbaya, Thaddeus Young

Deeper Value: Christian Wood, Langston Galloway, Daniel Gafford

GPP Sleeper: Christian Wood

Los Angeles Lakers @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 215

Vegas Spread: LAL -1.0

From the Lakers, it’s pretty simple, it’s LeBron James and it’s Anthony Davis. Davis sat out last game, and he draws a semi-difficult matchup here against Steven Adams. If Davis sits out again then LeBron becomes a borderline lock here as he’ll absorb a ton of that usage. If Davis sits as well, Kyle Kuzma will draw the start and he’ll be a chalky, but good, value option. If Davis sits it also puts JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard both firmly in play, with my preference being Howard as he plays more minutes with AD out than McGee does. The other Lakers’ guards are all a crapshoot to figure out, so I’ll likely be avoiding it all together.

From the Thunder, Chris Paul continues to be a consistent producer and makes a lot of sense for cash games here, and he’ll go a little overlooked as the matchup against the Lakers isn’t a great one. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in a great spot here tonight, but I’ll like him more if Gallo ends up sitting this game out. Steven Adams should be a solid play here as well, and his price hasn’t risen much despite playing really well the past week but the matchup becomes pretty good if Anthony Davis misses this game. Lastly, Dennis Schroder would be in play if Gallo sits. Darius Bazley makes for a deep GPP value play as well, but only if Gallinari is out.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis (if he plays)

4-star play: Kyle Kuzma (if AD sits), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chris Paul, Steven Adams

Deeper Value: Dwight Howard, JaVale McGee (both only if AD sits), Rajon Rondo

GPP Sleeper: Kyle Kuzma (if AD sits)

Philadelphia 76ers @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 224

Vegas Spread: DAL -2.0

Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid has already been ruled out after that nasty finger injury from a few nights ago. This is a major boost to the other big three, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, and Al Horford. Horford is going to be my favorite of the three, as the Mavs don’t have the personnel to matchup with him with Porzingis ruled out already. Tobias Harris also sees a nice usage boost here (+2.5%) and will take on more of a role offensively here, which raises his ceiling. The biggest beneficiary of Embiid’s absence will be Al Horford as he sees a 4.5% usage increase. Ben Simmons is also in play here, but Luka has been solid defensively, as actually is one of the few PGs that actually has the size to matchup with him.

From the Mavs, Luka Doncic draws a tough matchup here but has proven to be matchup proof, and he has a near 40% usage rate with Porzingis off the floor and averages 1.94 FPs per minute. He’s a premier play again tonight. Maxi Kleber has been playing well in Porzingis’ absence and should play close to 30 minutes again tonight. Dwight Powell has at least 25 FanDuel points in eight of his last nine games and is in the same boat as Kleber. Delon Wright is also too cheap and should see close to 30 minutes with Porzingis out as well, and will absorb some of that usage.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Tobias Harris, Al Horford

4-star play: Ben Simmons, Maxi Kleber, Dwight Powell

Deeper Value: Delon Wright, Mike Scott

GPP Sleeper: Delon Wright

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: 216.5

Vegas Spread: DEN -13.0

Starting with the Cavs, Kevin Love sees a really solid matchup here, and if this game stays close, it’ll be because of him and Tristan Thompson who is coming of a 60 burger last game. If Thompson sits this game out it puts both John Henson and Ante Zizic in play for value centers. Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are both in play for GPPs. Cedi Osman is also in play here, as Kevin Porter has been ruled out for the next 4-6 weeks so he’ll absorb a good amount of those minutes.

For the Nuggets I like the price on Nikola Jokic and and he’s been playing better over the past few weeks. It just depends if you want to spend up here in what is predicted to be a blowout. Will Barton sat last game out, but he’s firmly in play here for GPPs and Cash games if he suits up tonight. Jamal Murray is a GPP play as well due to the massive ceiling he has but can be very volatile. Lastly, Paul Millsap has already been ruled out, so that puts Jerami Grant firmly in play for value here, and should open up additional minutes for Michael Porter Jr. as well.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Kevin Love

4-star play: Tristan Thompson, Collin Sexton, Jamal Murray, Cedi Osman

Deeper Value: Jerami Grant, Michael Porter Jr.

GPP Sleeper: Jerami Grant

Milwaukee Bucks @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total: 228.5

Vegas Spread: MIL -6.0

From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo has an insane 39.1% usage rate and 1.91 fantasy points per minute on the season, he’s an elite play here, especially in the hammer game with a high total and should be competitive as well. Khris Middleton is back down to a playable price, he’s more of a guy that I want for cash games as he’s a very consistent player. Eric Bledsoe is slowly getting his minutes back, and he’s been playing much better as of late. If George Hill is ruled out again, that will also put Donte DiVincenzo squarely in play for value once again.

From the Blazers, this is a spot that Damian Lillard should be able to take advantage of Eric Bledsoe here, as he struggles to defend and Dame will want to show out in this game. Carmelo Anthony is also firmly in play here for GPPs, as he is a little scoring dependent but this is a matchup he can take advantage of. Hassan Whiteside is smashing everyone in sight lately, and I like him in this spot tonight despite the fact that he’ll likely see a few less rebounds matching up against Lopez. CJ McCollum is a guy I never really get to when Lillard is active but I don’t hate him as a secondary guy here, but he sees the biggest usage dip since Melo joined the team. Kent Bazemore burned everyone last game as a value play, and he’s off limits for me here. Anfernee Simons also makes sense for value here, as he came out and started the 2nd half of their last game and he’s dirt cheap, I’d much prefer him over Bazemore.

5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, Hassan Whiteside

4-star play: Carmelo Anthony, CJ McCollum, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe

Deeper Value: Donte DiVincenzo, Anfernee Simons

GPP Sleeper: Donte DiVincenzo, Anfernee Simons
