Philadelphia 76ers @ Indiana Pacers
Vegas Total: 211.5
Vegas Spread: PHI -1.5
Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid is playing great basketball right now and feels far too cheap here, I like him in a rougher matchup against Turner, but he won’t want to get shown up by him, given the early slate he’s a premier play if you play that. Ben Simmons has been crushing lately, as Brown has realized that he needs to stagger his and Embiid’s minutes more, as Embiid zaps the most usage from here, so he’s a premier play here as well, especially if Brogdon is out as well. Tobias Harris is also firmly in play here, but considering this game isn’t on the main slate, I’m not really going out of my way to play him there.
Starting with the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon will be a game-time decision for this game so we will need to monitor the status of him before lock. For the sake of this article, we will operate under the assumption that he is in. Even if he plays he hasn’t been in great form, so I’ll wait for a better spot. Domantas Sabonis continues to smash and be consistent this season, he’s a great play in all formats, even in a tougher matchup against Embiid, but he’ll draw less of him with Turner playing. Both TJ Warren and Myles Turner are GPP plays due to their recent form with some nice upside. I like the price on Jeremy Lamb while Aaron Holiday is only in play if Brogdon is out.
5-star plays: Joel Embiid, Domantas Sabonis
4-star plays: Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, Malcolm Brogdon (if he plays)
Deeper Value: TJ Warren, Jeremy Lamb, Aaron Holiday (if Brogdon sits)
GPP Sleeper: Aaron Holiday (if Brogdon sits), Jeremy Lamb
Boston Celtics @ Charlotte Hornets
Vegas Total: 208.5
Vegas Spread: BOS -7.0
- Kemba Walker – 30.4% usage rate; 1.32 fantasy points per minute
- Jayson Tatum – 28.8% usage rate; 1.22 fantasy points per minute
- Jaylen Brown – 26% usage rate; 1.13 fantasy points per minute
- Gordon Hayward – 21.1% usage rate; 1.02 fantasy points per minute
These guys are all priced as they should be for Smart being out, Tatum is in the best form while Kemba has come off of a couple of stinkers. You can make a case for all of them here, and they will all be in my player pool. Lastly, Enes Kanter continues to play well if you need a value center option as the Hornets have been getting destroyed inside by bigs. Tatum does see the biggest hit with Hayward back though, but if Brown ends up sitting this game out, Hayward and Kemba both become even better plays.
From the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham is coming off one of his better games over the past week or so. I really do like his price as well, given the upside he has in a fast paced matchup like this. He’s also been more consistent than Rozier and has a higher ceiling. Terry Rozier is similar just a little more volatile, I don’t mind him for GPPs but I’m not really going out of my way to play him here, as the past 2 revenge games against the C’s really haven’t gone his way. PJ Washington is also in play here, but I don’t like how he has looked since he’s returned. Cody Zeller and Miles Bridges are both GPP plays on a small slate like this. Malik Monk is also a deeper GPP play here on the early slate with not much value.
5-star play: Devonte’ Graham, Kemba Walker
4-star play: Gordon Hayward, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown
Deeper Value: Cody Zeller, PJ Washington, Miles Bridges
GPP Sleeper: Malik Monk

Los Angeles Clippers @ Sacramento Kings
Vegas Total: 222.5
Vegas Spread: LOS -7.0
Starting with the Clippers, everyone should be active here so we don’t need to worry about rest. Kawhi Leonard would be my preferred option between him and Paul George, as he has the higher ceiling and draws a slightly better matchup.. Paul George has not been in the best form and should probably be reserved for GPPs here. Lou Williams feels too cheap here as well as Montrezl Harrell, as long as long as he is over his illness. If Harrell is out again, then it makes Ivica Zubac viable, as he’ll see an uptick in minutes as well. Pat Beverley is also in play for GPPs here, as his price has come down as well.
Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox is back, but he always worries me with these back issues, as they can pop up at any time. He’ll be a GPP only play for me, especially in a tough matchup against Bev. Marvin Bagley is also likely out again here, which is a boost to both Nemanja Bjelica and Richaun Holmes. Both are in great matchups as the Clippers have struggled against bigs all year long. Buddy Hield is playing great basketball right now and his price is way too low for the amount of usage he should see here. Both Harrison Barnes and Bogdan Bogdanovic, although Bog’s upside is limited with Fox likely playing.
5-star play: Kawhi Leonard, Paul George
4-star play: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Nemanja Bjelica, Richaun Holmes, De’Aaron Fox
Deeper Value: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Montrezl Harrell
GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Nemanja Bjelica
Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 218
Vegas Spread: SAS -9.0
From the Warriors, D’Angelo Russell has been carrying this team for the past few weeks. He also draws a nice matchup here, as the Spurs have been getting crushed by opposing PGs all year long, and their overall team defense has really fallen off this year. Draymond Green has triple-double upside every time he takes the court, he’s a GPP play as well in a decent matchup. Alec Burks and Damion Lee are both playing great basketball, I would prefer Burks over Lee at similar price tags but both are in play. Burks will also be much lower owned than Lee and has been more consistent. Willie Cauley-Stein is also in play here as he has been playing some solid basketball, but the matchup isn’t the greatest.
From the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge is a secondary play, as the matchup is there, but he really hasn’t shown that 50+ FP ceiling that we know when he gets hot. But this matchup is as good here as the Warriors are horrible against bigs so far this year. I think that this game will be a little bit closer than people think. DeMar DeRozan will firmly be in play for GPPs here as he can really get it going in a matchup like this as the Warriors are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. Dejounte Murray is going to be in play here as well, I just wish Pop would give him 30 minutes as his ceiling is sky high with how efficient he is, as the matchup is a very very good here as well. If he gets the start again you can also fire up Derrick White as a deeper GPP value play.
5-star play: D’Angelo Russell
4-star play: LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMar Derozan, Dejounte Murray, Draymond Green, Damion Lee
Deeper Value: Alec Burks, Derrick White
GPP Sleeper: Alec Burks
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Toronto Raptors
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: TOR -9.5
Starting with the Cavs, Kevin Love is in great form but he sat out last game. If he plays, he’s firmly in play here as the Cavs will need him to step up in order to keep pace here. Tristan Thompson isn’t in great form but gets a similarly good matchup, he’s more of a deep GPP play on a huge slate. If Love is out he makes for a better play as well. Collin Sexton feels safer now that Jordan Clarkson is out of town, I like him for GPPs, and Darius Garland is also in play here, as his minutes should be blowout proof as well. Kevin Porter Jr. is also in play here, especially if Love is as well, as his minutes are also blowout proof.
From the Raptors, Kyle Lowry is probably still too cheap here, especially with all the injuries to the Raptors. Pascal Siakam has been ruled out indefinitely which is a huge hit to this team. Not to mention that big man Marc Gasol is out along with Norman Powell as well. Kyle Lowry will likely be the biggest beneficiary in terms of usage, he sees a 37% usage rate and 1.65 fantasy points per minute with Siakam, Powell and Gasol off the court and is playing great basketball right now. I would expect Serge Ibaka to see a massive bump as well, he’s seeing 1.2 fantasy points per minute with those two off the court and his price isn’t crazy on FanDuel. OG Anunoby and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson should also see extended run with the big men out. Fred VanVleet isn’t in the best form but should get a ton of minutes which will put him in play. Chris Boucher also makes for a really good GPP play here, as he can really pour it in, even in limited minutes, but the downside is there as well for him, so GPP only there. It’s really a coin flip between him and RHJ for your GPP value play.
5-star play: Kyle Lowry, Tristan Thompson (if Love is out)
4-star play: Kevin Love (if he plays), Tristan Thompson (if Love plays), OG Anunoby
Deeper Value: Chris Boucher, Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr.
GPP Sleeper: OG Anunoby, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Chris Boucher
Denver Nuggets @ Houston Rockets
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: HOU -1.5
For the Nuggets, this is an elite spot for Nikola Jokic who is in great form as of late. This is a big pace up spot for this team and I like it as an underrated game stack, especially if Capela is out as the Rockets don’t have anyone that can really matchup with his size if Capela is out. Jamal Murray has been playing really well as of late, but I don’t love the matchup against Westbrook, as the Rockets have been surprisingly tough against opposing PGs this year. He has flashed a massive ceiling this season but is very volatile. Will Barton is a solid GPP but very similar to Murray that he is not the most consistent. Jerami Grant will also be firmly in play here if Millsap sits this one out as well.
From the Rockets, James Harden and Russell Westbrook are both elite plays here, but its tough to pinpoint which one is going to go off, if I had to pick I’d usually lean Harden. Clint Capela sat the last 2 games, and if he does so again, then Tyson Chandler is going to need to play more and it’ll also put Isaiah Hartenstein firmly in play for value as he is minimum priced on FanDuel. PJ Tucker will see more minutes if Capela is out as well, but the Nuggets have more size than their past opponents so he won’t be playing much of the 5. Ben McLemore and Danuel House both make sense as lineup filling value plays as well, House moreso as he tends to start.
5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Nikola Jokic
4-star play: PJ Tucker, Will Barton, Jamal Murray
Deeper Value: Danuel House, Ben McLemore, Jerami Grant (if Millsap sits), Isaiah Hartenstein
GPP Sleeper: Danuel House, Jerami Grant (if Millsap sits again), Isaiah Hartenstein
Dallas Mavericks @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: DAL -1.5
Luka Doncic is and elite play here today, and I’m likely going to have a ton of him, especially in the hammer game here. Kristaps Porzingis has taken a back seat since Luka has returned, but he’s in play for GPPs as he has some solid upside and he should be low owned. Tim Hardaway is more of a boom-or-bust option, but definitely worth a look in GPPs, especially if you don’t think Porzingis plays well here, but Hardaway Jr. is really scoring dependent. That’s really all I have interest in from this Mavericks team.
From the Thunder, Chris Paul continues to be a consistent producer and makes a lot of sense for cash games here, but I don’t love the matchup against Luka. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the more GPP guy as his floor is much lower than CP3’s, but he gets a solid matchup here as the Thunder have been struggling against 2 guards, and if Schroeder is out again he makes for a great play here, he’ll even be a 5 star play here if Schroeder sits again. Steven Adams should be a solid play here as well, and his price hasn’t risen much despite playing really well the past week and the Mavericks are pretty soft downlow. Lastly, Dennis Schroeder makes sense here as well if he plays, as Gallinari is likely out again. Darius Bazley makes for a deep GPP value play as well with Gallinari out.
5-star play: Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
4-star play: Chris Paul, Steven Adams, Kristaps Porzingis, Dennis Schroeder (if he plays)
Deeper Value: Tim Hardaway, Darius Bazley (if Schroeder sits)
GPP Sleeper: Darius Bazley
