Full Court Press:
Washington Wizards @ Detroit Pistons
Vegas Total: 228
Vegas Spread: DET -7.0
From the Wizards, Bradley Beal should smash again here tonight, as the Pistons can’t defend the perimeter and he’s chucking up 20+ shots per game with all the injuries the Wizards have right now. With Wagner, Bryant, and Hachimura, Davis Bertans all out the Wizards are really thin in their front court. Ian Mahinmi, and Troy Brown Jr., should get all the minutes they can handle here. Mahinmi can’t stay on the floor like the rest of these guys but is still a solid play at this price tag. Ish Smith has looked solid as well and should play a ton of minutes here with Isaiah Thomas out again tonight. He’s a solid GPP option but not one I’m going out of my way to play. Admiral Schofield and Gary Payton II should also see solid run here, making them deeper GPP plays as well.
From the Pistons, Andre Drummond is a premier play here as Blake is a GTD once again, but even if Blake plays I love him here tonight as the Wizards are so undersized that it shouldn’t be any competition for him downlow. Blake Griffin is also in play here with the undersized front court even though he hasn’t been sharp, he is probable tonight and the Wizards don’t play defense. Derrick Rose has been playing well recently, and he gets a solid matchup here, and that will be boosted with Luke Kennard out again tonight. If Kennard is out, Langston Galloway makes sense as a deeper GPP play as well, but he is risky as he is scoring dependent but with Kennard out he sees a nice boost.
5-star plays: Andre Drummond, Bradley Beal
4-star plays: Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, Ish Smith, Troy Brown Jr.
Deeper Value: Langston Galloway, Admiral Schofield, Gary Payton II
GPP Sleeper: Admiral Schofield, Gary Payton II
New York Knicks @ Brooklyn Nets
Vegas Total: 223.5
Vegas Spread: BKN -7.0
From the Knicks, Julius Randle draws a nice matchup here, and is coming off one of his best games of the year, and we all know the cheat code now is to play bigs against the Nets. Mitchell Robinson has been starting as of late as well, and I’ll have a ton of interest in him whether he starts or not, but I’d prefer him if he starts. RJ Barrett has been picking it up as of late and is definitely in play here as he is still a little bit underpriced. Lastly, Elfrid Payton has been starting and playing well, and he has a great matchup here as the Nets are allowing the most FPs to opposing PGs over the last week and have consistently been giving up a ton of FPs to guards all season long. He’s known to put up big fantasy days when given the opportunity, and his minutes should be blowout proof.
From the Nets, Kyrie Irving continues to be out, so fire up Spencer Dinwiddie who is one of the safer options on the slate in this matchup, the Knicks are allowing the 2nd most FPs to opposing PGs over the last week, behind only the Knicks. Jarrett Allen has also been hot over the past few weeks, and draws a favorable matchup here, but I don’t love his ceiling in this game. Wilson Chandler is also in play for value here as Caris LeVert is still out for this game, so feel free to fire him up as well. Joe Harris is also in play for GPPs here, as he has picked up his play as of late and gets a good matchup against the Knicks who don’t defend the perimeter that well.
5-star play: Spencer Dinwiddie, Julius Randle
4-star play: Jarrett Allen, Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett, Elfrid Payton, Joe Harris
Deeper Value: Joe Harris, Wilson Chandler, Garrett Temple
GPP Sleeper: Wilson Chandler, Garrett Temple

San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks
Vegas Total: 226.5
Vegas Spread: DAL -6.5
From the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge is a secondary play, as the matchup is there, but he really hasn’t shown that 50+ FP ceiling that we know when he gets hot. But this matchup is as good here as the Mavericks are not that tough on the interior. This should be a high scoring game though, as its one of the few totals thats been released and its over 220. DeMar DeRozan will firmly be in play for GPPs here as the Spurs will need him and Aldridge to score here in order to keep pace. Dejounte Murray is going to be in play here as well, I just wish Pop would give him 30 minutes as his ceiling is sky high with how efficient he is, but the matchup isn’t the greatest against Bev here. If he gets the start again you can also fire up Derrick White as a deeper GPP value play.
The big news here is going to be whether or not Luka Doncic suits up for this game, as he is currently questionable to play. If he is in, I love the matchup here, as the Spurs are bleeding FPs to opposing PGs and they Luka is matchup proof. Kristaps Porzingis has proven to be the biggest beneficiary of Luka Doncic being out, so if Luka sits, Porzingis will be a 5 star play as he isn’t your traditional big so I’m not too worried about the matchup against Aldridge. He’s an elite play here if Luka sits again. Jalen Brunson has taken over the ball-handling duties for Doncic and would firmly be in play again if Luka sits. Tim Hardaway is more of a boom-or-bust option, but definitely worth a look in GPPs, especially if Luka is out.
5-star play: Luka Doncic (if he plays), DeMar Derozan, Kristaps Porzingis (if Luka sits)
4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis (if Luka plays), LaMarcus Aldridge, Dejounte Murray
Deeper Value: Derrick White, Jalen Brunson, Tim Hardaway
GPP Sleeper: Tim Hardaway, Jalen Brunson, Derrick White
Memphis Grizzlies @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Vegas Total: 225
Vegas Spread: OKC -6.0
Starting with the Grizzlies, Ja Morant is in pretty good form and I don’t hate the price, still more of a GPP option however as CP3 is still no slouch on defense and should be able to contain the rookie. Both Jaren Jackson and Jonas Valanciunas are GPP plays for me as they have flashed ceiling games but really haven’t been up there consistently. Dillion Brooks is in great form as well and makes sense as a secondary play as his shot has been falling as of late. Jae Crowder tends to also play better in these pace up games as he should see more secondary stats and is cheap as well. Brandon Clarke is also in play here as he is relatively cheap and if Jackson or JoVal get into foul trouble he’ll see additional minutes as well.
From the Thunder, Chris Paul continues to be a consistent producer ad makes a lot of sense for cash games here, as he should be able to do whatever he wants against Morant. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the more GPP guy as his floor is much lower than CP3’s, but he gets a solid matchup here as the Grizzlies have been struggling against 2 guards. Steven Adams should be able to do whatever he wants down low here, I like him quite a bit as a mid-range center option against a Grizzlies team that isn’t the best at defending big men. Lastly, both Danilo Gallinari and Dennis Schroeder make sense as GPP guys here, but if I had to choose I’d roll with Schroeder as he’s been playing a ton of minutes lately.
5-star play: None
4-star play: Chris Paul, Ja Morant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Steven Adams, Dennis Schroeder, Jonas Valanciunas
Deeper Value: Dennis Schroeder, Brandon Clarke
GPP Sleeper: Jaren Jackson, Brandon Clarke
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Sacramento Kings
Vegas Total: 221.5
Vegas Spread: SAC -5.0
From the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is currently questionable for this game, so if he is out Gorgui Dieng is firmly in play here as he should draw the start as well. Andrew Wiggins has found some consistency this season, he’s in a great spot here as well especially if KAT ends up sitting as he’ll dominate usage with the starters. Jeff Teague has been playing really well lately as well, and he’s an even better play if KAT ends up sitting. Lastly, Robert Covington is a fine GPP option to fill in the last of your lineups, but he’s seen a reduction in minutes so he is risky. Shabazz Napier is also a GTD but I like him if he plays and starts here.
Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has looked really good since returning, and the T-Wolves have been getting gashed by opposing PGs all year long so I love the matchup for him here. If he is a full go. Marvin Bagley is also firmly in play here, as his minutes have been trending upward and he’s still a little too cheap if he is going to see around 30ish minutes here. Buddy Hield is playing great basketball right now and really doesn’t see a huge usage drop with Fox on the court, and if Bogdanovic is out again he becomes a great play as well. Both Harrison Barnes and Bogdan Bogdanovic (if he plays) make sense as secondary options while Nemanja Bjelica is more of a GPP guy.
5-star play: Karl Anthony-Towns (if he plays), De’Aaron Fox, Andrew Wiggins (if KAT sits)
4-star play: Jeff Teague, Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley, Gorgui Dieng (if KAT sits)
Deeper Value: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Harrison Barnes, Shabazz Napier
GPP Sleeper: Shabazz Napier, Jeff Teague (if KAT sits)
Portland Trailblazers @ Utah Jazz
Vegas Total: 219.5
Vegas Spread: UTA -5.5
From the Blazers, this is a spot that Damian Lillard should be able to take advantage of as the Jazz are much more prone to giving up FPs to opposing PGs with Mike Conley out for the foreseeable future. Carmelo Anthony has also been taking a ton of shots lately, and he is firmly in play at his price point here. Hassan Whiteside is smashing everyone in sight lately, but the matchup is much tougher for him here against Gobert, he’ll be low owned though given the matchup and is a solid GPP edge play. CJ McCollum is a guy I never really get to when Lillard is active but I don’t hate him as a secondary guy here, but he sees the biggest usage dip since Melo joined the team. That’s about all I have interest in given that Utah is one of the best defensive teams in the NBA.
From the Jazz, Rudy Gobert should dominate here, as Whiteside’s defense is non-existant and he should double double here with ease. The Blazers don’t have anyone that can box him out down low so I see one of his 20-15 games coming here. Donovan Mitchell isn’t my favorite option here at this price tag, but he’s always worth a look in GPPs. With Conley out for the foreseeable future, point Mitchell will be a thing again, the matchup is much better here today as Dame isn’t a good defender. Bojan Bogdanovic has proven himself as an elite scorer this season, and he gets a solid matchup against the Blazers, as Melo’s defense is non-existent here as well. Joe Ingles is also playable again here as he’ll likely slide into the starting lineup again with Conley out and it should secure his minutes at around the 30 minute range.
5-star play: Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard
4-star play: Carmelo Anthony, Bojan Bogdanovic, Carmelo Anthony, Joe Ingles
Deeper Value: Jordan Clarkson (if he plays), Joe Ingles
GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson (if he plays), Joe Ingles, Bojan Bogdanovic
