Full Court Press:
San Antonio Spurs @ Phoenix Suns
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: PHX -3.0
From the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge will be available here making him a secondary play, as the matchup is there, but he really hasn’t shown that 50+ FP ceiling that we know when he gets hot. This should be a high scoring game though, as neither team really plays defense so both him and DeMar DeRozan will firmly be in play for GPPs here. Dejounte Murray is going to be in play here as well, I just wish Pop would give him 30 minutes as he would smash here against the Suns, but he came off the bench last game, I’d much prefer him if he starts. If he gets the start again you can also fire up Derrick White as a deeper GPP value play.
From the Suns, Devin Booker has been shooting really well and the Spurs have actually been one of the worst defensive teams in the league against guards. In a matchup against a bad defensive team, I like him here. Ricky Rubio also makes sense at a reasonable price tag as the Spurs have struggled against opposing PGs as well. Kelly Oubre is pretty boom-or-bust but in this matchup, I think he thrives great GPP option. It sounds like Aron Baynes will be back for this game so we will have to wait and see how they rotate Dario Saric and Frank Kaminsky in, I’ll take a wait and see approach on this situation.
5-star plays: Devin Booker
4-star plays: LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMar Derozan, Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Dejounte Murray (if he starts)
Deeper Value: Derrick White
GPP Sleeper: Derrick White, Patty Mills
Brooklyn Nets @ Toronto Raptors
Vegas Total: 219.5
Vegas Spread: TOR -7.5
From the Nets, Kyrie Irving continues to be out, so fire up Spencer Dinwiddie who is one of the safer options on the slate in this matchup. Jarrett Allen has also been hot over the past week, but he gets a tougher matchup here against the Raptors who are a pretty solid defensive team. That’s really all I have interest in for this Nets team.
From the Raptors, Pascal Siakam is playing an unreal amount of minutes right now, he gets a solid matchup here as the Nets are pretty bad defensively against bigs and stretch 4s, so he should thrive in this game. Kyle Lowry is getting similar minutes and with Fred VanVleet currently questionable he could be in for some extra usage as well. If VanVleet plays I’ll likely fade and see how he treats this knee injury. Marc Gasol has 40+ FanDuel points in his last two games, and gets a really favorable matchup here against the Nets who can’t defend bigs, he’s a really solid option here and isn’t priced up at all yet. Lastly, Norman Powell becomes a great value option if VanVleet ends up sitting again.
5-star play: Pascal Siakam, Spencer Dinwiddie
4-star play: Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol, Jarrett Allen
Deeper Value: Garrett Temple, Joe Harris, Norman Powell
GPP Sleeper: Norman Powell, Marc Gasol

Washington Wizards @ Memphis Grizzlies
Vegas Total: 220.5
Vegas Spread: MEM -1.0
Starting with Washington, Bradley Beal is priced up to where he should be finally especially for this matchup. With that being said, he’s going to have the ball in his hands a ton and he’ll likely be chucking it up a ton here. Davis Bertans has been playing out of his mind lately and I like him quite a bit in an up-tempo game against the Grizzlies who are another team that refuses to play defense. Both Mo Wagner and Isaiah Thomas are GPP guys who could thrive in a fast game like this one but still just GPP guys at best. The guy I like here is Mo Wagner, as he has taken on a bigger role with Bryant injured, and the Grizzlies are not good against bigs. Rui Hachimura is also in play here, as he should play 30+ minutes once again, especially if Wagner gets in foul trouble which he has a tendency to do. If IT2 if ruled out again, Ish Smith will also be viable again tonight as a value play.
From the Grizzlies, Jonas Valanciunas hasn’t been in great form since going nuts a little over a week ago. However, with Morant off the court this season he has a 25% usage rate and 1.36 fantasy points per minute so he may be worth a look here. As I mentioned, Ja Morant may be out again this game, so if he is you can fire up both Tyus Jones and De’Anthony Melton. They are both priced way down making them solid plays, I would prefer Melton of the two with that being said. Lastly, Dillion Brooks, Jaren Jackson, and Jae Crowder make sense as GPP guys against this fast-paced Wizards team.
5-star play: Bradley Beal
4-star play: Davis Bertans, Jonas Valanciunas, Ja Morant (if he plays), Mo Wagner, Rui Hachimura
Deeper Value: Ish Smith (if IT sits), Tyus Jones, De’Anthony Melton (if Morant is out)
GPP Sleeper: Jae Crowder, De’Anthony Melton
Los Angeles Clippers @ Chicago Bulls
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: LAC -6.5
Starting with the Clippers, both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are in great spots here as they lead this team with usage pretty handily. They both draw elite matchups in a fast-paced game against a Bulls team that doesn’t have a whole lot of interest in playing defense. The same can be said for Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell who are both secondary plays but great for GPPs. However, Williams sat last night, so if he’s out again that’s a nice bump up to Harrell as he’ll dominate the usage with the 2nd unit. If Beverley sits again, he was replaced by Terrance Mann but he only played 18 minutes, the guy it seems you’ll want for value there is Derrick Walton Jr. as he played 30 minutes off the bench.
From the Bulls, Zach LaVine has two of his last 3 games with at least 45 FanDuel points, he is still priced down a bit but he is a bit boom or bust. Wendell Carter Jr is just priced too high for me right now, I’ll wait for his production to come up, but the matchup is there for him downlow as the Clippers are bleeding FPs to opposing big men this year. Lauri Markkanen continues to play well and this is a spot where I want to attack him, the Clippers don’t have a real threat in the frontcourt and I think Markkanen can take advantage both in the paint and behind the arch. Tomas Satoransky and Coby White make sense as GPP options.
5-star play: Kawhi Leonard, Paul George
4-star play: Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams (if he plays), Zach LaVine, Wendell Carter Jr., Lauri Markkanen
Deeper Value: Terrance Mann, Derrick Walton Jr.
GPP Sleeper: Derrick Walton Jr.
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Milwaukee Bucks
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: MIL -13.5
From the Cavaliers, Kevin Love is in terrible form but he got it going the past 2 games but he draws a difficult matchup here and the Cavs likely won’t be able to hang with the Bucks here. I don’t hate Tristan Thompson here, but we all know the drill by now, that Brook Lopez will draw his defender away from the basket leading to less rebounds. Both Collin Sexton and Larry Nance make sense as GPP plays, while Darius Garland can be played as a GPP value. I’d look more to Jordan Clarkson here though, as the Bucks are projected to handle the Cavs quite easily in this one.
Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo played last game so I expect him to be a full go for this one as well. Giannis is the man here and has a usage rate of over 35%, I would prefer him over Harden tonight after Harden went nuclear last night. Khris Middleton seems to have made it back up to the 30-minute mark and I wouldn’t be surprised if that minute’s restriction is lifted here. I like him at this price tag. Eric Bledsoe isn’t in the best of form but has some good upside, I’ll save him for GPPs. The same can be said for Brook Lopez, who you hope can get hot from three. If the Bucks do end up sitting Giannis, Middleton, Bledsoe, and Ersan Ilyasova all become great plays as they likely won’t need Giannis to do much in this game so they could rest him on the 2nd half of a B2B.
5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo
4-star play: Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez, Kevin Love
Deeper Value: Jordan Clarkson, Collin Sexton, George Hill
GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson, George Hill
Miami Heat @ Dallas Mavericks
Vegas Total: 215.5
Vegas Spread: DAL -7.0
Jimmy Butler has been crushing lately, and he gets another big game that he loves to play in against the Mavs. Expect him to want to show out here tonight after their tough loss to the Lakers last night Bam Adebayo has at least 50 FanDuel points in 3 of his last 4 and still put up 35 in a tough matchup against AD last night, he gets a much more favorable matchup here so I have some interest there but he is priced up a bit. Kendrick Nunn should be right up near that 40-minute mark again here with Winslow, Dragic, and possibly Herro all out. Lastly, I’m not chasing the 50 burger from Duncan Robinson on a 8-game slate.
From the Mavs, it’s really just two guys for me, Luka Doncic (obviously) and Kristaps Porzingis. Doncic bounced back last game, but he should have a tougher matchup against Butler tonight, but the dude is matchup proof regardless. Kristaps Porzingis hasn’t been in the best form lately, but he is in play here against the less than stellar defense of Bam Adebayo and he had a 40 burger last game. They’ll need him to pick it up here in a big game for the Mavs. Tim Hardaway Jr. is also in play tonight on a big slate, but he is very boom or bust.
5-star play: Luka Doncic, Jimmy Butler
4-star play: Bam Adebayo, Kristaps Porzingis, Kendrick Nunn
Deeper Value: Duncan Robinson, Tim Hardaway Jr.
GPP Sleeper: None
Detroit Pistons @ Houston Rockets
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: HOU -8.5
From the Pistons, Andre Drummond is going to be your top dog here, as he is a beast downlow and causes issues for the Rockets, even though Capela is a solid defender. Blake Griffin is on everyone’s DNP list right now after 2 duds in a row, but he should have borderline 0 ownership and his price is really cheap tonight but he is still a riskier GPP play that could pay off here. Derrick Rose has a massive 32% usage rate off the bench, I don’t hate going there for GPPs. Finally, Luke Kennard has been very consistent this season, he’s fine in this game as well. Langston Galloway is another deeper GPP option in this game, as if he gets hot from behind the arc he can put up a ton of points in a hurry.
Starting with the Rockets, James Harden last night with another 80 point fantasy outing, but the price really is up there especially on FanDuel. That said, he is James Harden, I’m not going to talk you off of him if you want to play him because he has a legit 100 point ceiling. Russell Westbrook has actually looked pretty good as of late and has at least 49 FanDuel points in five of his last 6 games. Clint Capela isn’t in the best form since having back to back 58 point fantasy nights, that said, he’s a secondary center option if you need one as Drummond isn’t really known for his lockdown defense. Both Ben McLemore and PJ Tucker are playing big minutes right now and are solid last guy in plays.
5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Andre Drummond
4-star play: Blake Griffin, Clint Capela, Derrick Rose
Deeper Value: Langston Galloway, Christian Wood
GPP Sleeper: Langston Galloway, Christian Wood
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Denver Nuggets
Vegas Total: 205
Vegas Spread: DEN -7.0
Starting with the Thunder, I don’t hate the price on guys like Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but they’re more of GPP guys due to the matchup. Danilo Gallinari and Steven Adams both draw pretty good matchups and aren’t priced terribly, both are secondary plays at worst here. Finally, Dennis Schroeder is always in play for GPPs for me.
Nikola Jokic has looked a lot better over the past week, and while it’s a tougher matchup against Adams he can take him out of the paint, which Adams isn’t too comfortable with, so I like the play here especially in the hammer game where he won’t have much ownership. Jamal Murray is also in play here, but he has been a little too scoring dependent for me as a PG and he gets a tougher matchup against CP3, I won’t be going out of my way to play him. Gary Harris has been shooting the ball really well lately, and he’ll play a ton of minutes as he has been lately as they’ll need his defense here likely to matchup against SGA. The guy I’m liking here is Will Barton as he has been playing really well lately, and his price isn’t too expensive.
5-star play: Nikola Jokic
4-star play: Will Barton, Gary Harris, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Deeper Value: Monte Morris
GPP Sleeper: Monte Morris
