Welcome back to the NFL TOP ONSLAUGHT STACKS article here at DFS Army. Each week I will dive into a few teams that I think will be some of the best stacks of the week. My goal here will be to narrow down the list of teams I feel we can use and gain an edge vs the field in Large Field Tournaments. Lesser versions of these stacks can easily be used in single entry tourneys, small league play, and even hybrid lineups in head-to-head competitions as well. My hope is that we can have the same success here, with the NFL TOP STACKS article, that we had all season in MLB with the MLB TOP STACKS article.

What Is an “Onslaught Stack?”
If you have read our tournament strategy pieces this year, NFL Shark Autopsy Report and NFL Showdown Breakdown, you are already aware that we have reverse-engineered the Milly Maker and many of the single-game Showdowns going back several years in search of winning trends. If you haven’t read these two articles, I highly suggest you check them out.
A few interesting tidbits stood out in our research.
- Game Stacking Mattered – any combination of a QB with his same team, then coupled with a skill player on the opposing team
- Casual Players Don’t Stack Enough – Most of us know about stacking a QB/WR combo, but people still aren’t doing it frequently enough across all entries of tournament play. We still have a leveraged edge by using even a small stack of some sort.
- Secondary Stacks Yield Even Better Finishes – The common combo of QB/WR + Opposing WR can be coupled with a completely different game stack, or secondary stack, from a different game altogether. Perhaps the second game’s RB on the favored team + WR on the underdog. Secondary stacks serve to differentiate your lineup further while still focusing on correlation and leveraging fantasy production.
When it comes to stacking your lineups, we also found a lot of room to exploit the competition by going WAY Overboard. We don’t need to simply use a QB/WR combo + an opposing WR. We can ramp it up more! QB/WR/TE + opposing WR/WR is an example of a 3+2 “onslaught stack.” We can run 4+2, or 2+2, or even 3+1… literally anything that has more than 3 total players from a game can be called an “Onslaught Stack.” And, these onslaughts are proving to capitalize on extreme leverage. The casual and even intermediate player just doesn’t go that overboard in games that will possibly shoot out on both sides. THIS IS OUR EDGE!!! When people back off, we step on the gas!

In Week 9 I used a SEA+TB 3+1 Onslaught Stack along with 2 secondary stacks, Bell+Williams from the NYJ/MIA game, and a very common RB+DEF stack with CMC and Carolina Defense to round out the lineup.
Caveat – Now, onslaughts still don’t pan out with great frequency. You are simply taking advantage of the times they do pan out. You have the uniqueness and access to the points that drive you well into the top 0.1% of the payouts (where the money starts to happen). The goal is not to finish with a 2x or 3x multiplier to our money. The goal is to finish with 20x or 100x or more. Onslaughts definitely do that for you. But, they still shouldn’t be 50% of what you do in your MME or multi-entering structures. Keep it toned down some. But, plan to use them at least some when opportunity arises.
🇺🇸 Operation Onslaught NFL Top Stacks Week 10 🇺🇸
Cardinals @ Bucs 52 total
The Bucs are a team we find ourselves targeting pretty much every week at this point. They’ve allowed the most passing yards per game in the league so far, allowing 293.5 passing yards per game through 8 games. The Arizona Cardinals rank 19th in the league passing for 223.9 yards per game so they are not really tearing it up offensively. What I’m hoping for here, is the awfulness of the Bucs Defense, helping out the sub par Passing attack of the Cardinals in this one.
Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk are the key parts of the passing attack in Arizona. Combined they take up 44% of the target market share for the team. David Johnson is 3rd on the team with a 16% share, but, he hasn’t seen a target in 3 weeks because he’s been in and out of the lineup. The obvious start to a Cardinals stack here is Fitzgerald + Kirk.
The Bucs were apart of my Onslaught Stack last week with Seattle that helped me take down the $7.00 GPP on Fanduel. When we look into their stats we can clearly see who their top two options are, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin account for 52% of all targets for the Bucs. Running it back with Evans and Godwin makes a lot of sense here, but, it probably won’t be very sneaky. The Cardinals ranked 3rd worst in the league allowing 407.6 yards per game so the Bucs will likely be a popular stack this week.
1) ARI3-TB2
ARI: Murray, Fitzgerald, Kirk
TB: Godwin, Evans
2) TB3-ARI2
TB: Winston, Evans, Godwin
ARI: bring back with Fitzgerald, Kirk
These are the two most obvious “Onslaught Stacks” in this game. This game has the highest total on the slate so it won’t be sneaky. If we want to get a little different we can do it pretty easily here, however. On the Bucs side of the ball, Breshad Perriman was targeted 8 times last week. Most of the passes were short passes, but, I remember him with my Browns last year (when they were good) and he has plenty of deep ball, big play upside. I saw it with Baker Mayfield last year and I wouldn’t be surprised if Jameis Winston connected with him for a long bomb in this one.
On the Cardinals side of the ball, if we wanted to leave Fitzgerald or Kirk out of the stack, we could possibly add Kenyan Drake to the mix here. With David Johnson expected to be back in the lineup Sunday, I don’t expect many people to play Drake at all this week. He has 4 targets last week and he had a monster game against the 49’ers. If we’re looking to be a little different he could.
ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!

Falcons @ Saints 51.5 total
In years past this would be must see TV this weekend, but, the Falcons have really struggled this year and they enter this game with a 1-7 record. They still have appeal from a DFS Perspective, as they lead the league in Passing Yards (316.8) and Passing Attempts (42.9) per game. The targets on this team get spread out more now than years past, with Julio Jones leading the team with a 22% market share. Austin Hooper is 2nd with a 19% share while Calvin Ridley and Devonta Freeman are 3rd and 4th with 15% and 12% respectively. The main target for me is obviously Julio Jones and I will lean Calvin Ridley over Austin Hooper just slightly. If we want to be a little different you can always include Devonta Freeman in your stack as most people don’t stack their RB with their QB.
On the Saints side of the ball, we should want to get as much of this offense as we can this week. Even with a large spread, of 13.5 in favor of the Saints, I’m not too concerned here, in the SuperDome this team is going to be really tough to slow down this weekend. The Falcons rank 10th in the league allowing 261 passing yards per game, and with Drew Brees back at QB, the Saints offense should be much more explosive than it was with Teddy Bridgewater at the helm. Michael Thomas is the clear cut #1 option for the Saints and he has a 33% target market share. Next on the team is Alvin Kamara at 20% followed by Teddy Ginn 12%. I have no issues pairing Thomas and Kamar if I can afford it with Brees in my Saints stacks this weekend.
1) NO3-ATl2
NO: Brees, Thomas, Kamara
ATL: bring back with Jones, Ridley (or Hooper)
2) ATL3-NO2
ATL: Ryan, Jones, Ridley (or Hooper)
NO: bring back with Thomas, Kamara
These are the most obvious, and most expensive Onslaught Stacks we can use in this game. Being a little different shouldn’t be too difficult here as both teams have plenty of Offensive weapons we can choose from. If we want to be a little different, we can easily leave Julio Jones off of the Atlanta side of the stack, and go with Ridley + Hooper for much lower ownership and similar upside. On the Saints side of the ball, it’s really tough not to have Michael Thomas or Alvin Kamara, but, you can make a case for only playing one of them in your stack. I think they are both going to have great games, but, it wouldn’t be surprising if one of them has a SMASH game and that hurts the other.

Others I like as Large Field GPP Plays
Giants @ Jets
The Giants allow 263.6 passing yards per game, which ranks 8th worst in the league. The Jets are right behind them, ranking 9th worst allowing 263 passsing yards per game. Both Quarterbacks are very boom or bust (more bust then boom usually) but that is exactly what we’re looking for in our off the wall GPP Stacks. The Giants attempt 38.4 pass attempts per game which ranks 5th most in the league. Against a team like the Jets that allows a lot of passing yards, this can only be a good thing right?
The Giants targets are very condensed around three players, TE Evan Engram 22%, WR Golden Tate 23% and RB Saquan Barkley 17%. The Jets on the other side are a little more spread out, with Jamison Crowder 24% Le”veon Bell 20%, Robby Anderson 19% and Demaryius Thomas 17%. We can pick and choose several ways to stack up this game and hope for a shootout in The Meadowlands this weekend.
Let’s Get Silly in the Milly!!! – Giants @ Jets YOLO Game Stack!!!
1) NYG4-NYJ2
NYG: Jones, Engram, Tate, Barkley
NYJ: bring back with Crowder, Anderson (or Bell)
2) NYJ3-NYG3
NYJ: Darnold, Crowder, Anderson (or Bell)
NYG: Engram, Tate, Barkley
If you want to take down a tournament like the Milly Maker you’ve got to go against the grain with some of your lineups. A good way to do that in this game is to use Saquan Barkley and Le’Veon Bell in the same lineup. Since most people won’t use two RB’s from Opposing teams in the same game, this could make your lineups very unique and if this game does shootout, you should skyrocket up the leaderboards.
That’s all I’ve got for today 🤟❤💯
