Full Court Press:

Dallas Mavericks @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 232

Vegas Spread: HOU -5.5

Luka Doncic (PG) is matchup proof at this point, and he should be able to take full advantage of this lax Houston defense here. Luka should absolutely smash in this matchup, and I’m disappointed that it isn’t on the main slate.  Kristaps Porzingis (PF) is also a decent play here, as the Rockets are not good at defending the perimeter, where he likes to hang out around. Dorian Finney-Smith (SF) is also a decent value play, as he starts and should play heavier minutes in a game like this. Tim Hardaway Jr. (SG) is also in play for GPPs here, but he is very scoring dependent as we all know.

On the Houston side of the ball, your choice is going to come down to whether you want to go with Russell Westbrook (PG)  or pay up for James Harden (SG). Both of these guys are in solid spots, but Westbrook has the better matchup, and they stagger their minutes to the point where they can both eat in one game, but I wouldn’t pair them together as it takes a huge chunk of your salary. Westbrook is the better salary option in my opinion, but Harden is matchup proof and can go off in any given matchup. This is also one of those games where he could need to takeover in this game and go possession for possession against Luka.  Clint Capela (C) as he’s been taking on a more offensive role as well this year behind the two main stud guards, as he’s been rebounding really well and has been more aggressive on offense around the hoop. Danuel House (SF) is also in play with Eric Gordon out again.

5-star plays: Luka Doncic (PG), James Harden (SG), Russell Westbrook (PG)

4-star plays: Kristaps Porzingis (PF), Clint Capela (C)

Deeper Value: Danuel House (SF)

GPP Sleeper: None

Brooklyn Nets @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 214

Vegas Spread: BKN -2.5

Really not much interest in the Knicks here, as their minutes are all usually pretty spread out, and we all know its tough to predict Fizdale’s rotations. However, I do have some interest in R.J. Barrett (SG)  as he gets the most consistent minutes of any of the Knicks players, and with their front court fully healthy there isn’t much value elsewhere. The Nets have been pretty bad against defending guards on the year. They’re actually a bit better defensively with Kyrie out. Julius Randle (PF) is also in play here, as we know the cheat code to play bigs against the Nets. Mitchell Robinson (C) is also in play here, as he sees around 24ish minutes off the bench and he can rack up FPs in a hurry, especially against this Nets frontcourt. Frank Ntilikina (PG) is in play on a small slate here as well, as he played 35 minutes last game and seems to be Fizdale’s favorite PG at the minute.

On the Nets side of the ball, Kyrie Irving has already been ruled out, which means that Spencer Dinwiddie (PG) will be very popular again, and for good reason, as he sees a 38.8% usage rate with both Irving and LeVert off the court. He’ll play all the minutes he can handle though. He’s likely to be a core play for a lot of people today, and for good reason. Garrett Temple (SG) also makes for an interesting value play, especially on a small slate. Taurean Prince (SF) killed a lot of people the other night, but I have no issue going back to the well here. The total on this game isn’t too enticing though, so I’m not going out of my way to roster players on it.

5-star play: Spencer Dinwiddie (SG)

4-star play: R.J. Barrett (SG), Julius Randle (PF)

Deeper Value: Frank Ntilikina (PG), Mitchell Robinson (C)

GPP Sleeper: Mitchell Robinson (C)

Sacramento Kings @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 236.5

Vegas Spread: WSH -2.0

Starting with the Kings, Bogdan Bogdanovic (SG) is currently listed as doubtful, but if he somehow plays I do like him with Fox still out as he sees the biggest usage boost with Fox still sidelined. But if he sits Buddy Hield (SG) and Cory Joseph (PG) see a pretty big boost against a really really bad Wizards defense that has been non-existent all season long. With both Fox and him off the court, Hield has a 32% usage rate and 1.09 fantasy points per minute. Yogi Ferrell (PG) would also get launched into big minutes here as well, he becomes a great value guy with those two off the court. Richaun Holmes (PF)  has been playing really well as of late, and he gets to go against another weak frontcourt as Thomas Bryant is really undersized for an NBA center.

For the Wizards, it is the Bradley Beal (SG) show right now as he has a usage rate of 35% and has been dominating on offense for the Wizards, with some help from guys off the bench as well. The Kings do present a bit of a difficult matchup size wise though for the Kings, so I’m not high on Thomas Bryant tonight. Davis Bertans (SF) has played sneak good over the past three games and isn’t the worst play here for GPPs. My favorite play here maybe Isaiah Thomas (PG) as he has a 26% usage rate and will take shots if he’s seen them open, he’s more of a GPP guy though. Moritz Wagner (C) is also in play for GPPs here as he has shown an explosive ceiling when his shot is falling.

5-star play: Bradley Beal (SG)

4-star play: Buddy Hield (SG), Richaun Holmes (PF), Davis Bertans (SF), Isaiah Thomas (PG), Cory Joseph (PG)

Deeper Value: Yogi Ferrell (PG)

GPP Sleeper: Yogi Ferrell (PG), Isaiah Thomas (PG)

Phoenix Suns @ Denver Nuggets

Vegas Total: 213.5

Vegas Spread: DEN -9.5

Starting with the Suns, Ricky Rubio (PG) is a GTD again tonight, and I’m thinking that he likely will sit this game out as well and Aron Baynes is a GTD as well, but its not looking like he’ll play either. With those two off the court, Devin Booker (SG) sees the biggest usage rate at 31.2% on the season followed closely by Kelly Oubre (SF) at 27.9%. Both Booker and Oubre are averaging over 1.1 fantasy points per minute as well, they are both great plays here. If Baynes is ruled out, it solidifies Frank Kaminsky’s (PF) minutes and is at 0.95 fantasy points per minute on the season, I like him a good amount here. Dario Saric (PF) is also a solid GPP play here, especially if Baynes is ruled out again as he won’t have both him and Kaminsky eating into his minutes.

On the Denver side, Nikola Jokic (C), has been much better offensively over the past week, as he is throwing up 20 shots a game, they haven’t been falling that much either, so he’s due for some positive regression on that end, and I love playing him in matchups like this. Jamal Murray (PG) is in play here tonight on a small slate, especially if Rubio ends up playing as he’s been terrible at defending since he came into the league. Gary Harris (SG) makes for a decent value play here, as he plays a ton of minutes and will need to continue to do so in order to matchup with Booker. He has those random games where his shot is falling as well and could really pop at low ownership in spots like this. Will Barton (SF) has also been playing pretty well as of late and he’s firmly in play for GPPs, I just don’t love his price.

5-star play: Devin Booker (SG), Nikola Jokic (C)

4-star play: Kelly Oubre (SF), Frank Kaminsky (PF, if Baynes is out), Jamal Murray (PG)

Deeper Value: Gary Harris (SG), Mikal Bridges (SF)

GPP Sleeper: Gary Harris (SG), Will Barton (SF), Dario Saric (PF)

New Orleans Pelicans @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 234

Vegas Spread: LAC -12.0

Starting with the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram has 40+ Draftkings points in five straight games but gets a difficult matchup here, he’s a great GPP play at the very least. Jrue Holiday is priced too high for me with Ingram back in a tough matchup, especially playing against Pat Beverley. Kenrich Williams continues to play 30+ minutes a game and is probably the most blowout proof guy on this team if this one gets out of hand. Finally, Jaxson Hayes is in play again if Okafor sits with Favors already being ruled out.

On the Clippers side, the big news will be whether or not Kawhi Leonard (PF) plays, as it’ll be a huge boost to all the Clippers involved if he sits. I’ve noticed a trend that Kawhi tends to sit out on Sundays for some reason. If he sits, Paul George (SF) is still on a minutes limit, but will get all the usage that he can handle. Patrick Beverley (PG) will also see a nice usage bump if Kawhi sits, and you can always go to the combo of Lou Williams (SG) and Montrezl Harrell (C) as they are the best in the game at the pick and roll off the bench and their minutes are blowout proof as well. I like this game a bit as the hammer game on a small slate, and there are a few guys here that can win you a GPP.

5-star play: Paul George (SF)

4-star play: Kawhi Leonard (PF), Brandon Ingram (SF), Lou Williams (SG), Montrezl Harrell (C)

Deeper Value: Kenrich Williams (SF), Jaxson Hayes (C)

GPP Sleeper: Jaxson Hayes (C), Lou Williams (SG)
