Full Court Press:
Portland Trailblazers @ Milwaukee Bucks
Vegas Total:
Vegas Spread:
Starting with the Trailblazers, Damian Lillard has already been ruled out for this game as the Blazers travel to Milwaukee. With Lillard off the court, I expect CJ McCollum to be the guy you want from this offense. He owns a 27% usage rate and 1.06 fantasy points per minute when Lillard is off the court. Anferee Simons is currently questionable here but is a guy I will get a lot of if he plays. He played a career-high 36 minutes in his last game in which Lillard also missed. As we know in NBA DFS, minutes are king and I’ll be all over him here. This is a pretty decent spot for Hassan Whiteside, the Bucks haven’t necessarily been great against opposing centers. He also has 1.12 fantasy points per minute with Lillard off the court. Carmelo Anthony will likely grab the start again in his second game as a Blazer, he played 24 minutes in his debut and put up 14 shots. He’s going to shoot when he’s out there and I would expect him to be around that 25-minute mark again, he’s not the worst dirt cheap play, although Giannis may get him fouled out in four minutes. Nassir Little is also playing great basketball right now, although I don’t know that I trust it yet. Rodney Hood and Kent Bazemore are also in play on a short little two-game slate. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the man here. With Middleton off the court, this season Giannis has a 37% usage rate and 1.97 fantasy points per minute. On a two-game slate, you’ll want the raw points here, he’s a core play and is way too cheap. Eric Bledsoe is also too cheap here, it feels like Draftkings messed up the pricing on this team. With Middleton off the court this season he has a 25% usage rate and 1.25 fantasy points per minute. I never hate getting some Brook Lopez exposure especially when it’s against the turnstile in Hassan Whiteside. Donte DiVincenzo now has 25+ Draftkings points in three straight games and should continue to start with Middleton out, he makes sense here as well.
5-star plays: CJ McCollum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Eric Bledsoe
4-star plays: Anferee Simons, Hassan Whiteside, Brook Lopez
Deeper Value: Carmelo Anthony
GPP Sleeper: Nassir Little, Rodney Hood, Kent Bazemore, Donte DiVincenzo

New Orleans Pelicans @ Phoenix Suns
Vegas Total:
Vegas Spread:
It feels like the Pelicans play every night and are a complete headache… every night. Starting with the stupid Pelicans, we actually have a little more clarity this time. Derrick Favors and Josh Hart have already been ruled out while Lonzo Ball is really the only big name that is questionable. Brandon Ingram is far too cheap here and will likely be a core play for me against a bad defensive team. Jrue Holiday, on the other hand, is probably a little too expensive for me with Ingram back. Kenrich Williams should continue to see around 35 minutes here and in a fast-paced matchup, I like him as a mid-range play. JJ Redick has played out of his mind over the past week or so, going for at least 29 Draftkings points in his last five games. I like him in GPPs at the very least here. Jackson Hayes is in play here with Favors still out, I like him more if Jahlil Okafor is ruled out as well. But this kid can play and is priced nicely here. From the Suns, Devin Booker has a 29% usage rate on the season and the Pelicans haven’t played a whole lot of defense this season. He could shoot 20-25 times here. Kelly Oubre has been all over the place this season but is an elite GPP play. Ricky Rubio had a drop-dead terrible game in his last game but gets a very nice bounce-back spot here and I’m hoping the previous game lowers ownership on him. The frontcourt of this team is a complete mess right now with Dario Saric and Frank Kaminsky probable while Aron Baynes has been ruled out. Of the two, I would prefer Frank Kaminsky as he is the better point per minute guy, but I like them both here.
5-star play: Brandon Ingram, Devin Booker
4-star play: Kenrich Williams, Jrue Holiday, JJ Redick, Kelly Oubre, Dario Saric, Frank Kaminsky, Jackson Hayes
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: JJ Redick, Kelly Oubre
