NBA SuperDraft Top Plays 10/22

What Is SuperDraft?

SuperDraft is a new DFS site in the industry and they set up a little different than the rest. In the image below, you see they have two different formats we can play each day, (1) the Standard Salary Cap style we’re all accustomed to from Fanduel and Draftkings, and (2) the new Multiplier Format. My article will focus strictly on the Multiplier Format, as I feel like it’s the most fun and unique format in the entire DFS Industry.

This new Multiplier format provides such a fresh twist on the standard game of DFS. Honestly, I think it’s the coolest new Game mode since Showdown on Draftkings. Instead of players getting a salary, they are given a Multiplier ranging from 1x to 2x their production. Think of the MVP or Captain spot on your Single Game and Showdown rosters, except on SuperDraft, every player has a different multiplier, Studs, generally, have a lower multiplier than “non-studs”. This truly changes the game and really adds a new dynamic level when building lineups that you can’t really get on any other site.

The scoring above is sort of a mixture between Fanduel and Draftkings, but, remember, there is no salary cap, so, you can play any players you want from any team you want. If you want to play all the STUD players, that’s fine, but, their multiplier may be close to 1x since they are STUDS. This dynamic scoring, across all of your players, really changes the game and makes this format super fun

We’ll have SuperDraft projections for you on the website, but, I’ll do my best to give you some other options to consider as well, rather than simply taking the top projected guys each night. Anthony Davis

Our top projected player on Opening Night is Anthony Davis and he comes in with a 1.15x multiplier and a 68.37 projection. His projection is nearly 5 points higher than the next closet player and I really see no reason to get away from him here in what should be a fun, competitive game against the cross-town rival Clippers.

This game has a 226 total with the Lakers projected to score 114.25 points. The Clippers ranked 24th in the league last year against Versatile Big men, so I’m expecting The Brow to put on a show in his first regular-season game as a Laker.

Pascal Siakam

Our 2nd highest projected player for Opening Night is Raptors Pascal Siakam. Fresh off a breakout year and a new max contract extension, Siakam enters 2019 as THE MAN on this team as they look to defend their NBA title this year. With Kawhi Leonard now in LA, Siakam should be asked to handle more of the scoring load for this team this year.

The Pelicans were not a great defensive team last year, and it will likely take some time for them to gell with all of their new players. They should play at a very high pace as well and this game has a 231.5 total with 119.25 of that going towards the Raptors.

He gets a very generous 1.40x multiplier on opening night on SuperDraft so he’s a great play with that high of a multiplier. I’m expecting him to reach nearly 60 fantasy points with room for 70+ in this one with a multiplier that high. Siakam could smash here on Opening Night and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s the highest-scoring player on the slate

Kawhi Leonard

Tonight, the Finals MVP from last year makes his debut in his new home in Staples Center for the LA Clippers. After pulling off one of the biggest BOSS moves in recent memory, working behind the scenes to get Paul George out of OKC and to LA with him, Kawhi takes on that other LA team on Opening Night who he essentially left standing at the altar during free agency.

Kawhi has s juicy 1.35x multiplier on SuperDraft and that puts him in the discussion for top play of the night for sure. 70 points is not out of the question with a multiplier that high.

Last year the Lakers ranked 25th in the league against Scoring Wings and it will likely take them a while to get their Defense in order this year will all of their new players. I’m expecting a monster game from Kawhi tonight and I expect Laker fans to be tilting on twitter early an often.
