Full Court Press:
Indiana Pacers @ Detroit Pistons
Vegas Total: 213.5
Vegas Spread: Ind -2.0
The big thing that jumps out at me to start this game is the total, normally we don’t love to target these low total games, but we’ll see what we can find here. Starting with the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon is not disappointing in his first few games with the team. He is averaging over 50 Draftkings points per game and the Pistons rank 22nd against opposing points guards this season. Domantas Sabonis followed up his big opener by a dud in the last game, they will need his size to help with Drummond here, but it’s still a difficult matchup; the same can be said for Myles Turner. The rest of this team are GPP plays for me in a slower ball game. From Detroit, Andre Drummond threw up a dud in his last game due to foul trouble, but hopefully, that draws ownership down on him and we can get him lower owned here. He put up 78 Draftkings points in this spot in the opener. I’m going to continue to play Derrick Rose while he’s underpriced. He gets all the usage in that second unit and is averaging 37 Draftkings points per game. After those two, I think you’re kind of reaching on a bigger slate.
5-star plays: Malcolm Brogdon, Andre Drummond, Derrick Rose
4-star plays: Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner
Deeper Value: Langston Galloway
GPP Sleeper: Myles Turner
Chicago Bulls @ New York Knicks
Vegas Total: 224
Vegas Spread: Chi -1.0
Starting with the Bulls, Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen are going to kind of cut into each other this season and one of them will have a great night in almost every game this season. Trying to decide which one it will be could prove to be difficult. LaVine had an off night against Toronto as did Markkanen, they both draw great matchups and are very good plays here. Wendell Carter Jr. is more of a GPP play for me here, I don’t love his price tag. Coby White came back down to earth against the Raptors, but I’ll go right back to the well on here in a plus matchup. The rest of this team are GPP plays at best. From the Knicks, Julius Randle continues to get big minutes and is producing nicely. This is a good matchup for most guys on this team so include him in there as well. RJ Barrett has 30+ Draftkings points in all his career games (3) and gets a nice matchup here. Mitchell Robinson is probable for this game and is a great fantasy point per minute guy, but likely won’t get a whole lot more than 20 minutes making him more of a GPP play. Those are really the only guys I can feel confident in playing from the Knicks.
5-star play: Zach LaVine, Lauri Markkanen, Coby White, Julius Randle
4-star play: RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson
Deeper Value: Kevin Knox
GPP Sleeper: Wendell Carter Jr, RJ Barrett, Kevin Knox

Philadelphia 76ers @ Atlanta Hawks
Vegas Total: NA
Vegas Spread: NA
We don’t have a total for this game yet because Joel Embiid is listed as questionable still. I’ll write this up under the assumption that he’ll play if he is ruled out, head to the Breaking News Tab for who it directly impacts. This is a great spot for him and is one of the better plays on the slate at a pretty cheap price tag for him if he’s not at all limited. Ben Simmons feels a little too expensive for me if Embiid is in, but again this Hawks team plays little to no defense. Tobias Harris and Al Horford are both solid, if Embiid is in I would prefer Harris of the two, however. Finally, Josh Richardson is playing a ton of minutes and isn’t a terrible cahs option in what should be a high scoring game. From the Hawks, Trae Young has an insane 38% usage rate on the season and gets a pretty tough matchup, but the guy is dangerous from anywhere on the floor, so I’m not too worried about it. He’s scored at least 60 Draftkings points in each of his first two games. John Collins is really the only other guy I can have any kind of confidence in playing, they’ll need his size especially if Embiid is in.
5-star play: Joel Embiid, Trae Young
4-star play: Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, Al Horford, John Collins
Deeper Value: Cam Reddish, DeAndre’ Bembry
GPP Sleeper: John Collins, Cam Reddish
Orlando Magic @ Toronto Raptors
Vegas Total: 212.5
Vegas Spread: Tor -4.5
Starting with the Magic, Nikola Vucevic hasn’t been all that great but has gotten over 30 minutes in each game this season. This is a tough matchup for him against Marc Gasol and is more of a GPP play for me. Aaron Gordon also draws a tough matchup against Pascal Siakam, the Magic are pretty much a stay away team for me on this slate. From the Raptors, we almost have $9k Pascal Siakam and he has a 34% usage rate on the season, I’ll continue to play him until he’s around $10k. Kyle Lowry keeps playing well and getting a ton of minutes, but the Magic has done pretty well against opposing point guard which kind of negates Fred VanVleet as well. Overall this isn’t a game that I’ll have a lot of interest in.
5-star play: Pascal Siakam
4-star play: Kyle Lowry
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon
Cleveland Cavaliers @ Milwaukee Bucks
Vegas Total: 222
Vegas Spread: Mil -15.0
Startin with the Cavs, Kevin Love had a surprising 15% usage rate in the opener but was still able to put up 40 Draftkings points and come out with 55 points in his last game. The Bucks struggle to guard the 3-point line and that is something Love can exploit on them. That said, I would think Giannis ends up guarding him, which is less than ideal. Tristan Thompson is playing great and gets a decent matchup here, the guy is a walking double-double when given the opportunity. My only worry with him is that Brook Lopez drags him away from the hoop decreasing his rebounding chances, but that’ being pretty nitpicky. Collin Sexton didn’t look all that great in the opener and with Darius Garland in the picture I expect them to kind of pull usage from each other, they’re both GPP plays here against a tough Bucks defense. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the man on this team and has a 36% usage rate on the season, this is a phenomenal spot here for him. He’s scored 70+ Draftkings points in both games this season. Khris Middleton is doing what he always does and is getting his typical 35 Draftkings points per game. Eric Bledsoe got back up to 33 minutes after he was eased into the season. I like this matchup for him. George Hill is a guy I’ve been playing a lot of and is great off the bench at near minimum price if you need a value option.
5-star play: Tristan Thompson, Giannis Antetokounmpo
4-star play: Kevin Love, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez
Deeper Value: George Hill, Wesley Matthews
GPP Sleeper: Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Larry Nance

Portland Trail Blazers @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 221
Vegas Spread: SA -5.5
Starting with the Blazers, Damian Lillard has a 30% usage rate on the season and the Spurs were one of the worst teams in the league against point guards last season, I like him here. CJ McCollum finally had his first good game of the season yesterday with 51 Draftkings points, he’s a solid play as well. Hassan Whiteside finally had a bit of a down game, he’s a double-double machine so I’m fine going right back to the well here. From the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge has been very close to the double-double bonus in his first two games. He gets a great matchup against Whiteside here. DeMar DeRozan bounced back with a 41 point Draftkings outing in his last game and is a nice GPP play on this slate. DeJounte Murray actually leads this team in usage at 27% and Dame isn’t someone that worries me on defense, he’s a solid play here as well.
5-star play: Damian Lillard, LaMarcus Aldridge
4-star play: CJ McCollum, DeMar DeRozan, DeJounte Murray
Deeper Value: Rodney Hood, Kent Bazemore
GPP Sleeper: DeMar DeRozan, Rodney Hood, Kent Bazemore
Denver Nuggets @ Sacramento Kings
Vegas Total: 218.5
Vegas Spread: Den -6.0
Starting with the Nuggets, this is a great spot for them as a team as the Kings don’t play a whole lot of defense. Nikola Jokic should be able to do whatever he pleases here. He has a 30.5% usage rate on the season and will be guarded by a combination of Dewayne Dedmond and Richaun Holmes, give me Jokic allll dayyyyyy. Jamal Murray continues to play well, I expect that to continue here and is priced fairly. Gary Harris plays a ton of minutes, but really hasn’t done a whole lot yet this season, he’s a fine GPP option along with Will Barton. The Kings draw a very tough matchup with the Nuggets and aren’t really a team that I’m targeting on this slate. Dewayne Dedmond makes some sense as they’ll need his size for Jokic, but not someone I’m forcing into my lineups.
5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray
4-star play: None
Deeper Value: Gary Harris
GPP Sleeper: Dewayne Dedmond, Richaun Holmes, Will Barton
Utah Jazz @ Phoenix Suns
Vegas Total: 217.5
Vegas Spread: Utah -4.5
Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell finally had a dud game in his last game but gets an elite matchup here, I like him in a bounce back. Rudy Gobert should be able to dominate the glass with DeAndre Ayton out, Frank Kaminsky simply isn’t big enough to guard Gobert. That said, he has started the ceiling very slow. Mike Conley is a GPP play here in a great matchup but has yet to show what he can do in this matchup. Similar to the Kings, the Suns draw an incredibly difficult matchup. Devin Booker is a fine GPP play, but I think we can find better plays on this slate. Ricky Rubio has played well this season and makes sense as a GPP play if he ends up playing (currently questionable). Finally, Frank Kaminsky has looked great filling in for Ayton, but his price has come up and gets a very tough matchup against Rudy Gobert here.
5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert
4-star play: Mike Conley, Devin Booker, Ricky Rubio, Frank Kaminsky
Deeper Value: Dario Saric
GPP Sleeper: Devin Booker, Mike Conley, Frank Kaminsky

Charlotte Hornets @ Los Angeles Clippers
Vegas Total: 225.5
Vegas Spread: Lac -15.5
Starting with the Hornets, PJ Washington has gotten thrown into big minutes for this team and has played pretty well. He’s got a huge ceiling here if he can get hot from three. Terry Rozier has put up back to back 30 point Draftkings outings but gets matched up with Patrick Beverley who plays very tough D, he’s more of a GPP option for me. Miles Bridges and Devonte’ Graham continue to play well and make sense in this matchup as well. From the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is the man and has an insane 39% usage rate on the season, tough not to like him against this weak Hornets team. Lou Williams has a 26% usage rate on the season and really runs the second unit, he’s a nice option as well. Montrezl Harrell should be able to do whatever he wants in the frontcourt while Patrick Beverely is also a great play at his price point.
5-star play: Kawhi Leonard, Montrezl Harrell
4-star play: PJ Washington, Miles Bridges, Devonte’ Graham, Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley
Deeper Value: Maurice Harkless, Landry Shamet
GPP Sleeper: Devonte’ Graham, Dwayne Bacon
Golden State Warriors @ New Orleans Pelicans
Vegas Total: NA
Vegas Spread: NA
We don’t have a total for this game yet because we are waiting for news on Jrue Holiday’s status, so keep an eye on that Breaking News Feed. From the Warriors, it’s really Steph Curry and D’Angelo Russell from an offense perspective while Draymond Green picks up a lot of peripheral stats. I’m expecting this game to have one of the higher totals on the slate so all three of those guys are in play. The rest of these guys are value/punt GPP guys or to help jam in studs to your cash lineup. From the Pelicans, I’ll assume Jrue Holiday is active and if so is a nice play, but need to make sure he isn’t limited at all. Lonzo Ball is coming off a massive game his last time out and has played at least 33 minutes in his last two games, I would expect that to continue here, he’s a great play at this price. Josh Hart’s price is way up and really only in play for me if Holiday gets ruled out. Both Derrick Favors and JJ Redick are GPP plays in this one.
5-star play: Steph Curry, D’Angelo Russell, Lonzo Ball, Jrue Holiday
4-star play: Draymond Green, Derrick Favors, JJ Redick, Josh Hart (if Holiday out)
Deeper Value: Omari Spellman, Eric Paschall, Marquese Chriss
GPP Sleeper: D’Angelo Russell, JJ Redick, Derrick Favors
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Houston Rockets
Vegas Total: NA
Vegas Spread: NA
This should be a fun game as we get a #RevengeGame for Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook. I’ll start with the Thunder and continue to play Shai Gilgeous-Alexander especially in a game with Westbrook and Harden, he’ll have more steal opportunities with this matchup. Chris Paul has not played well in his past two games but would expect him to get up for this one, he’s a solid option and would think he comes in at fairly low ownership. Danilo Gallinari is a solid play as they’ll need his scoring here. Steven Adams has a tough matchup with Clint Capela and really not a matchup that I want to target. From the Rockets, I expect this to be a Russell Westbrook game, he feels like a very vengeful person and someone who will want to do it all here against his old team. I love him here. James Harden had an off night against the Pelicans but still has a 37% usage rate on the season while Westbrook is at 28%. Clint Capela gets a tough matchup against Steven Adams and will be fun to watch them battle without them in your lineup.
5-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, James Harden, Russell Westbrook
4-star play: Chris Paul, Danilo Gallinari
Deeper Value: PJ Tucker, Danuel House
GPP Sleeper: Eric Gordon, Clint Capela, Dennis Schroeder
