Full Court Press:

Detroit Pistons @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Pace: Det +0.5

Starting with the Pistons, Blake Griffin has been ruled out for tonight’s contest. With Griffin off the court this season, Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson are the biggest beneficiaries. Drummond sees a usage rate of 26.2% and averages 1.46 fantasy points per minute, while Jackson has a usage rate of 29% and averages 0.98 Draftkings points per minute. Thon Maker will also get more run and is a viable punt option. From the Pacers, they are all priced about where they should be. Thad Young and Myles Turner are secondary options for me given the tough matchup with Andre Drummond. Darren Collison and Wesley Matthews are in the same boat.

5-star play: Andre Drummond

4-star play: Thon Maker, Reggie Jackson, Thad Young, Myles Turner, Darren Collison, Wesley Matthews

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Thon Maker

GPP Sleeper: None

Milwaukee Bucks @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Pace: Bkn +1.8

Starting with the Bucks, we will need to keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed on this one. The Bucks had eight guys suited up yesterday and really only seven available as Eric Bledsoe was never in the plans to play. It’s really tough breaking this team down with Giannis, Middleton, and Bledsoe all in question. My biggest advice would to have that Breaking News Feed open and actively using it today, there will be a lot of news. From the Nets, Jarrett Allen is grading out nicely in the Research Station, I never really get to him because of his inconsistency, but he’s playable here. D’Angelo Russell is always in play for GPPs given his upside. DeMarre Carroll is in play for me as long as Giannis plays, he’s averaged 27 Draftkings points per game against the Bucks this season. Spencer Dinwiddie is also a fine GPP play, but remember not to pair him with Russell, they are negatively correlated.

5-star play: (TBD – waiting on Bucks news)

4-star play: DeMarre Carroll, D’Angelo Russell, Jarrett Allen, Spencer Dinwiddie

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: (TBD – waiting on Bucks news)

GPP Sleeper: D’Angelo Russell

Miami Heat @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Pace: Mia +1.4

Starting with the Heat, Bam Adebayo and James Johnson draw great matchups here, as the Celtics rank 26th in defense against opposing power forwards. Goran Dragic is back up to minutes in the mid-30s, it’s a tough matchup, but he is playable here. Hassan Whiteside’s minutes are way down, but with the absence of Richardson and Winslow, he may get a few more, keep him in mind for GPPs. From the Celtics, Jayson Tatum has been a bit inconsistent as of late, but I don’t mind going there in GPPs. The Heat have been great against point guards all season, so I don’t feel the need to go with Kyrie Irving here. Other than that, I don’t have a ton of interest in this team.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Bam Adebayo, James Johnson, Goran Dragic, Jayson Tatum

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Jayson Tatum, Hassan Whiteside

Chicago Bulls @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 213.0

Vegas Spread: Chi -3.0

Pace: Chi +1.0

Hey, we finally have a game with a spread! Starting with the Bulls, it’s tough to like anything here given how depleted this team is and all the “value” guys are priced up. Christiano Felicio is the only one I would have serious interest in and that’s GPP only. At this point in the season, I don’t want to be paying a premium for guys like Shaq Harrison, I want to spend my money on guys playing in games that matter. From the Knicks, the Research Station has Luke Kornet, Mitchell Robinson, and Kadeem Allen all projected to go for at least 6x. It’s hard to argue with that, as they are all in great spots. Other than those three, the only other guy I have any interest in is Kevin Knox for GPPs.

5-star play: Mitchell Robinson, Luke Kornet, Kadeem Allen

4-star play: Christiano Felicio

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Christiano Felicio, Luke Kornet, Kadeem Allen

GPP Sleeper: Kevin Knox

Orlando Magic @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Pace: Orl +2.5

Starting with the Magic, Nikola Vucevic is averaging 56 Draftkings points per game in three matchups with the Raptors this season. I like him quite a bit here, and that’s honestly about it from the Magic unless we get news of someone sitting. Toronto is even worse unless they have someone ruled out (which is certainly possible), they are all priced up enough to where I have zero interest from this team.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic

4-star play: None

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: None

Portland Trail Blazers @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 224.5

Vegas Spread: Por -3.5

Pace: Por +1.2

Starting with the Blazers, Damian Lillard draws the best matchup as the Wolves rank 25th in defense against opposing point guards. I don’t have a problem paying a premium for Lillard here as long as CJ McCollum is still out (he will be). He’s gone over 50 fantasy points in six of his last eight games. Seth Curry’s price has come up, he’s playable, but I’ll likely go elsewhere. Maurice Harkless and Enes Kanter are both GPP plays for me to round out this team. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is in a great spot. The Blazers rank seventh against opposing centers this year, but that is with Nurkic on the floor. Kanter is an awful defender and Towns will look to take advantage of that. Other than that, Andrew Wiggins and Tyus Jones are secondary plays due to the high amount of minutes they will get.

5-star play: Damian Lillard, Karl-Anthony Towns

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins, Tyus Jones

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Maurice Harkless, Enes Kanter

Philadelphia 76ers @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Pace: Dallas +2.7

Starting with the Sixers, I love targeting point guards against this Mavs team. Ben Simmons is a 5-star play for me given his price and the matchup. With Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler off the court this season, Simmons has a usage rate of 26.3% and is averaging 1.3 fantasy points per minute. JJ Redick will also get a bump in minutes and shots with Butler off the floor. Mike Scott is also a viable value play, although I think better plays will open up throughout the day. From the Mavericks, Luke Doncic has been ruled out which will open up a bunch in minutes in the backcourt. Trey Burke may get some extra minutes here, we know he is a great per minute producer on the season. He’s a bit volatile, but makes for a great GPP play. Jalen Brunson will likely take over ball-handling duties and will likely see an increase in fantasy production as well. Lastly, Dwight Powell will see an easier matchup with Embiid off the court and is a very solid play here tonight.

5-star play: Ben Simmons, JJ Redick, Tobias Harris

4-star play: Jalen Brunson, Dwight Powell, Trey Burke

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Mike Scott

GPP Sleeper: None

Charlotte Hornets @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 218.0

Vegas Spread: Utah -11.5

Pace: Cha +1.1

Starting with the Hornets, Cody Zeller has been ruled out for tonight’s game which will open up minutes in the frontcourt. Whoever receives these minutes will draw a tough matchup with Rudy Gobert, making it much less enticing, but I would expect Marvin Williams and Frank Kaminsky to see a slight boost in minutes. There’s not a lot that I love here, I never love picking on the Jazz defense, but they do rank 20th against opposing point guards, which puts Kemba Walker in play as a GPP option tonight. From the Jazz, there will be nothing there to stop Rudy Gobert from doing whatever he wants. The Hornets rank 26th against opposing centers on the season. They also rank 24th against opposing shooting guards, which puts Donovan Mitchell squarely in play here. Joe Ingles is a secondary play, with a safe floor.

5-star play: Rudy Gobert

4-star play: Kemba Walker, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: None

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Pace: Cle +4.0

The Research Station loves the power forwards for the Cavs, Kevin Love and Larry Nance are both firmly in play here. The Suns rank 24th in defense against opposing power forwards. The Suns also struggle with opposing centers, which puts Tristan Thompson in to play as well. Other than that there isn’t much I love, Jordan Clarkson is always playable in GPP, however. From the Suns, the Research Station has Richaun Holmes projected for over 7x his price tag as DeAndre Ayton is out. Devin Booker continues to destroy, he has gone for at least 68 Draftkings points in each of his last three games, you can definitely go back to the well here. Dragan Bender will also see a minutes increase, however, he only averages 0.88 fantasy point per minute. Finally, Josh Jackson is a secondary play as well if you want more exposure to this game.

5-star play: Kevin Love, Larry Nance, Richaun Holmes, Devin Booker

4-star play: Dragan Bender, Josh Jackson

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson
