NBA Full Court Press for today March 2nd

Detroit Pistons 111 at Cleveland Cavaliers 105.5
Vegas – DET 5.5
Total – 216.5

This game is not on the main slate so I won’t spend a ton of time on it here. The Cavs have won 3 out of 4 but will be without Ante Zizic and Kevin Love today. This should open up a ton of playing time for Larry Nance and possibly Marquesse Chriss. If you play the all-day slate I would consider Larry Nance and Cedi Osman the best plays on the Cavs here today.

On the Pistons side of the ball, this is an elite matchup as the Cavaliers are awful Defensive with a 114 Team Defensive Efficiency Rating. Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin should feast today vs the Cavs frontcourt. Reggie Jackson should be in line for a solid day as well as the Cavs have allowed 7% more fantasy points to point guards than the league average this season.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Andre Drummond, Blake Griffin, Larry Nance

💥💥 4 star play – Cedi Osman, Reggie Jackson, Collin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson

💥 Value – Marquesse Chriss,  Wayne Ellington

Orlando Magic 103 at Indiana Pacers 107.5
Vegas – IND -4.5
Total – 210.5

This game has the lowest total on the slate so the masses will not attack it very heavily tonight. However, despite the low total, we can still find some solid plays here.

On the Magic side of the ball Nikola Vucevic, Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon, DJ Augustin, Terrance Ross, and Isaiah Briscoe are worth consideration in GPP’s tonight. Vucevic always has 50+ upside and Aaron Gordon has scored 40.4 and 44.5 in his last 2 games so he’s feeling it right now. Isaiah Briscoe has been solid and is a great drop score option here as well priced at only $3,800 on Fanduel. Over his last 5 games, he has averaged 24 minutes and 19.4 fantasy points per game.

My favorite plays on the Pacers are Thad Young, Bojan Bogdanovic and Cory Joseph (especially if Tyreke Evans is out). With Domantas Sabonis already ruled out we know we’re going to get plenty of minutes for Thad Young and Myles Turner again tonight. Turner let everyone down last game vs the T’Wolve so we should get him at low ownership today. My top play on the Pacers is Bojan Bogdanovic, who has been much more aggressive recently. If Tyreke Evans is out he should have the ball in his hands quite a bit this evening. Joseph tried his best to break the slate last game and I love him again if Evans is out. If Evans plays he’s still a solid play but loses some upside.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, Bojan Bogdanovic, Myles Turner, Thad Young

💥💥 4 star play – Jonathan Isaac, DJ Augustin, Cory Joseph, Wes Matthews

💥 Value – Isaiah Briscoe, TJ Leaf

Brooklyn Nets 108.3 at Miami Heat 112.3
Vegas – MIA -4.0
Total – 220.5

The Heat have a few questionable players at the moment. Hassan Whiteside, Goran Dragic, James Johnson, and Kelly Olynk. If Whiteside is out again we know we can load up on Bam Adebayo who’s price is still only $5,200 on Fanduel despite averaging 32.8 fantasy points over his last 3 games. Richardson, Winslow, and Wade are all solid plays here as well. Dion Waiters is an ok value play and will be a better play if Dragic is out

The Nets side of the ball is a little tougher. I really only have interest in D’Angelo Russell and Caris LeVert here. The Heat are a tough defensive team so I usually don’t go out of my way to pick on them. The Nets are projected to score about 4 points less than their season average tonight so this is not a great spot for them. Russell, LeVert and Jarrett Allen are the 3 with the highest upside, while Joe Harris and DeMarre Carroll are decent value plays here.

💥💥💥 5 star play – D’Angelo Russell, Josh Richardson, Bam Adebayo

💥💥 4 star play – Justise Winslow, Dwyane Wade, Caris LeVert

💥 Value – Joe Harris, DeMarre Carrol, Goran Dragic

Memphis Grizzlies 103.8 at Dallas Mavericks 108.8
Vegas – DAL -5.0
Total – 212.5

This game has one of the lower totals on the slate so don’t go crazy trying to find sneaky plays in this one.

The Grizzlies have several players who have been playing great for the last 5 games. Conley, Valanciunas and Noah have all averaged 35+ fantasy points over the last 5 games. Noah is probably the biggest surprise as he’s come out of nowhere really and has been playing very well. Over his last 7 games, he has gone over 31.3 fantasy points 5 times including his last 4 in a row. He’s only playing 21-24 minutes per night but he’s doing great in his role off the bench. Mike Conley has eclipsed the 40 fantasy point mark in 3 of his last 4 and should be in line for another solid outing today. If you’re looking for value you can find some in Avery Bradley and Justin Holiday here as well.

On the Mavs side of the ball, the main guy here and always is Luka Doncic. He’s got 50+ point upside in pretty much any matchup even a tough matchup like this vs the Grizzlies. He does everything for this Mavs team so he’s always in play for GPP’s and in good matchups is a great cash game player as he’s very consistent. Other than Doncic we could look at Dwight Powell, but I’m not sure I wanna pay $6,000 for him in this matchup. Tim Hardway Jr is questionable so if he’s out Jalen Brunson could get another star. He’s been solid recently averaging 25.1 over his last 5 games.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Luka Doncic, Mike Conley,

💥💥 4 star play – Jonas Valanciunas, Joakim Noah, Avery Bradley

💥 Value – Delon Wright, Justin Holiday, Jalen Brunson

Golden State Warriors at Philadelphia 76ers
Vegas – GSW – 5.0
Total – 238

This is the game of the night tonight. I’m disappointed that Joel Embid will not be in action because I love watching him and Boogie Cousins go at it. With Embid off the floor there will be roughly 30% usage spread out amongst the other Philly stars, Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, and Jimmy Butler are how I would rank them personally. If you’re looking for value Jonah Bolden and Mike Scott are decent value plays here as they will help fill the minutes void left by Embid.

On the Warriors side of the ball, I’m all in on DeMarcus Cousins here tonight. He is still only priced at $8,500 and he’s now playing 30+ minutes per night. In his last 3 games, he has scored 40.2 – 52.7 and 47.8 fantasy points. He’s a $10,000 talent priced at $8,500 tonight and he won’t have to deal with Joel Embid defense. He should absolutely feast on this Sixers frontcourt. As always, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant have some of the highest upside on the slate. They can both be targeted in all formats tonight. Klay Thompson is questionable and if he’s out, Curry and Durant will get even more shot attempts than usual. This will be a fun game for DFS and as a fan to just sit back and watch, enjoy!

💥💥💥 5 star play – DeMarcus Cousins, Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, Jimmy Butler, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant

💥💥 4 star play – JJ Reddick, Draymond Green

💥 Value – Jonah Bolden, Mike Scott, Alfonzo McKinnie

Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs
Vegas –  SAS -4.5
Total – 230.5

Paul George is out again tonight so Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder, and Jerami Grant all become great plays here. With Goerge off the floor, Schroder gets a +7% usage increase followed by Westbrook at +4%. I will be heavily exposed to both of them this evening. The Spurs allow 5% more fantasy points to point guards than the league average so this is a good matchup for both of them. Jerami Grant has been hot over his last 5 games averaging 35 minutes and 31.1 fantasy points per game. With George out he should get a few more looks and will remain super active as always. Markieff Morris will provide some decent value off the bench as well.

For the Spurs, the 2 guys I always have interest in are DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge. I have even more interest in them when they are priced under $9,000 like they are today, priced at $8,700 and $8,300 respectively. DeRozan has scored 44.8 or more in 3 of his last 4 while Aldridge has scored 40+ in back to back games. Derrick White is my next target on the Spurs as he’s picked up right where he left off since coming back from injury. He’s gone for 30+ fantasy in 2 straight and this is a great uptempo spot for him. Jakob Poeltl will likely start getting close to 30 minutes a night now with Pau Gasol being bought out and joining the Bucks. In 3 of his last 4 games Poeltl has scored 30 fantasy points twice and I’m expecting 30 fantasy point for him to be the norm going forward. He won’t be priced at sub $5,000 for long so take advantage of it while you can.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Russell Westbrook, Dennis Schroder

💥💥 4 star play – Jerami Grant, Derrick White, Jakob Poeltl

💥 Value – Markieff Morris

New Orleans Pelicans 110.5 at Denver Nuggets 123.5
Vegas – DEN -13.0
Total – 234

Anthony Davis is out tonight, so we don’t have to deal with the 20 minutes of him being on the court. This make Julius Randle one of my top plays in this game as he’ll have the floor all to himself tonight. Jrue Holiday should also get a usage bump with Davis out and he’s a fine play in this spot in what should be an up and down game. Elf Payton has been solid scoring 31.1 over his last 5 games and I expect him to be right around 30 fantasy points again tonight. Cheick Diallo should be a solid value play with Davis out he should play 22-24 minutes in this one.

For the Nuggets everything beings and ends with Nikola Jokic. The only concern here is a blowout with the Nuggets currently sitting as 13 point home favorites. That being said we know Jokic has 60 point upside in 30 minutes so he’s fully in play for GPP’s tonight. There are so many good players on the Nuggets it’s tough to narrow down your favorite 2 or 3 each night. We can attack the Pelicans with nearly anyone we would like as they are pretty awful against all positions. I would target Jamal Murray, Paul Millsap, Will Barton, and Malik Beasley after Jokic. Mason Plumlee could get some extra minute if we’re predicting a blowout, but, predicting a blowout is always a tough thing to do.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Julius Randle, Jrue Holiday, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Muray

💥💥 4 star play – Elf Payton, Paul Millsap, Will Barton

💥 Value – Cheick Diallo, Kenrich Williams, Malik Beasley,

Los Angeles Lakers 119.5 at Phoenix Suns 113
Vegas – LAL 6.5
Total – 232.5

LeBron James has “activated” his playoff mindest earlier than he usually does this year. This has led to him averaging 40 minutes and 62.8 fantasy points over his last 5 games. Still, the Lakers are 2-3 in those 5 games and fading fast in the Western Conference Playoff race. I’m expecting LeBron to keep his foot on the pedal until the Lakers are officially eliminated this season. With that being said, LeBron and the Lakers get a juicy matchup tonight vs the Suns who have a 112 defensive efficiency rating on the season.

Brandon Ingram has really come on strong as of late, looking to attack the basket every time he touches the ball it seems. Over his last 5 games, he is averaging 36 minutes and 37.7 fantasy points per game. Rajon Rondo may be 100% owned across the industry tonight. His price is still only $5,600 on Fanduel.  Since being inserted back into the starting lineup he has played 37 and 39 minutes and has scored 47.4 and 46.1 fantasy points in each game. The matchup here vs the Suns is as good as it gets as they allow 7% more fantasy points to point guards than the league average. ALL IN ON RONDO TONIGHT!!!

The Suns have several players with high upside we can target tonight. DeAndre Ayton and Devin Booker being the top 2 options. I like Ayton a little more than Booker simply because I don’t think the Lakers will have an answer for him and they will have at least more of an answer for Booker on the Defensive end. Kelly Oubre and Tyle Johnson the next two Suns that I would target here. Both are scoring around 30 fantasy points per game over their last 5 games. Mikal Bridges and Richaun Holmes can provide some decent value in what should be a back and fourth uptempo game.

💥💥💥 5 star play – LeBron James, Rajon Rondo, Brandon Ingram, DeAndre Ayton, Devin Booker

💥💥 4 star play – Kyle Kuzma, Kelly Oubre, Tyler Johnson

💥 Value – Reggie Bullock, Mikal Bridges, Richaun Holmes

Milwaukee Bucks at Utah Jazz
Vegas – UTA -4.0
Total – 226.5

This is a rough game to target for DFS purposes as we get a matchup with 2 very good defensive teams. Giannis Antetokounmpo is of course always in play in any matchup but I’ll be using him in GPP’s only tonight. He’s being worked back into his normal amount of minutes slowly and only played 32 minutes last night vs the Lakers. This is a road back to back in Utah for the Bucks, which is one of the toughest back to backs in the league, so I’m not 100% sure Giannis will see his normal minutes here.

Eric Bledsoe signed a 5 year $70 million dollar extension yesterday and celebrated with another 50+ fantasy point game vs the Lakers. He’s scored 50+ in 2 straight games and he’s underpriced at $7,300 even in a tough matchup. Khris Middleton is my next target on the Bucks followed by Nikola Mirotic. The Bucks could do some damage in the paint if they can use Brook Lopez to pull Gobert away from the rim so it will be interesting to see how they attack the Jazz tonight.

The Jazz have several guys we can target with my favorite being Donovan Mitchell. He’s averaged 41 fantasy points over his last 5 games and this game should be relatively close tonight. Next up is Rudy Gobert, although I’m a little concerned about him possibly being pulled out away from the basket by the outside shooting threat of Brook Lopez. I still like him in this matchup as I don’t think Lopez can handle him down low.

Derrick Favors, Ricky Rubio, and Joe Ingles round out my 5 favorite Jazz players. All 3 have been averaging around 30 fantasy points per game over their last 5 and the Jazz will need them all to keep playing well tonight if they want to take out the top team in the league.

💥💥💥 5 star play – Giannis Antetokounmpo, Eric Bledsoe, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert

💥💥 4 star play – Khris Middleton, Nikola Mirotic, Derrick Favors, Ricky Rubio, Joe Ingles, Malcom Brogdon

💥 Value – Royce O’Neal, Kyle Korver,
