Full Court Press:

Orlando Magic @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 207.0

Vegas Spread: Det -3.5

Pace: Det +0.3

Starting with the Magic, Nikola Vucevic’s price continues to fall. He draws a tough matchup against Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin, but in three matchups with this team this season, he is averaging 42.4 Draftkings points per game. Terrence Ross is a fine GPP option, but not someone I’m actively seeking out. DJ Augustin and Evan Fournier are fine mid-range cash options if you fall on them. From the Pistons, things normally boil down to the big men. Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond are both decent cash plays and elite GPP plays given the matchup. Luke Kennard makes for a fine value play, but it’s late March, better plays will open up. Lastly, Reggie Jackson is a nice GPP play at point guard given his price tag and volatility. Ultimately this is a very slow game, so don’t go crazy with ownership here.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Nikola Vucevic, Andre Drummond, Blake Griffin, Reggie Jackson

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Terrence Ross

GPP Sleeper: Pretty much everyone in this game

Brooklyn Nets @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Pace: Bkn +0.8

Starting with the Nets, Joe Harris draws the best matchup, as the Sixers rank 24th in defense against opposing SG/SF on the season. However, he’s struggled a bit in three matchups with them this season, only scoring 19.1 Draftkings points per game. Spencer Dinwiddie, on the other hand, is averaging nearly 40 fantasy points per game against them this season. D’Angelo Russell always makes for an elite GPP option given his upside, but don’t pair him with Dinwiddie as they are negatively correlated. Other than that, I don’t see much else that I’ll be targeting from this team. From the 76ers, Joel Embiid draws the best possible matchup for a center. The Nets rank dead last against opposing centers on the season and we have been exploiting that all year long, so why stop now? In three games he is averaging 55 Draftkings points per game, I love Embiid here. Ben Simmons feels a little underpriced given the matchup, he has also performed well against this team this season, scoring 46.9 Draftkings points per game. Jimmy Butler, JJ Redick, and Tobias Harris all make for fine GPP plays if you want more exposure to this matchup.

5-star play: Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons

4-star play: D’Angelo Russell, Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Joe Harris

GPP Sleeper: Jimmy Butler, JJ Redick, Tobias Harris

Dallas Mavericks @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 208.5

Vegas Spread: Mia -7.5

Pace: Mia +0.9

I’m not going to give you the run-around here, the only guy I have any interest in from the Mavericks is Luka Doncic. Even that interest level isn’t very high, but he has triple-double each and every time he steps on the court. The Heat are in a similar boat, I just don’t like this game one bit, it’s slow and low scoring. Bam Adebayo makes for a decent GPP play, as does Goran Dragic, but other than that I’m crossing this game off for the most part.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Luka Doncic

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Bam Adebayo, Goran Dragic

Toronto Raptors @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 216.0

Vegas Spread: Tor -12.0

Pace: NY +0.4

Starting with the Raptors, Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out for tonight’s game which should come as no surprise. With Kawhi off the court, here is how the rest of the team shakes out…

  • Pascal Siakam – 23.7% usage rate; 1.14 fpm
  • Kyle Lowry – 23.4% usage rate; 1.28 fpm
  • Serge Ibaka – 25.7% usage rate; 1.22 fpm

All three of these guys are elite GPP plays, with Lowry being a solid cash play. Fred VanVleet is popping in the Research Station. He will get minutes regardless of this game blows out or not, but I’ll have him as a secondary play tonight. From the Knicks, Dennis Smith is currently questionable, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on who his availability impacts. If Smith is out again, Emmanuel Mudiay becomes a great play, he has been playing very well as of late. Mitchell Robinson’s minutes have been all over the place, but we know he can produce if he does see the minutes, making him a GPP play only.

5-star play: Kyle Lowry, Emmanuel Mudiay (If DSJ is out)

4-star play: Pascal Siakam, Serge Ibaka

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Mitchell Robinson, Pascal Siakam, Serge Ibaka

Los Angeles Clippers @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: 232.5

Vegas Spread: Mil -8.5

Pace: Lac +1.1

Starting with the Clippers, I have interest in two guys, Lou Williams, and Montrezl Harrell. The Bucks have struggled with two-guards all season long, and Sweet Lou will look to exploit that. He leads this team with usage at 32.7%. Montrezl Harrell scored almost 40 fantasy points in their first matchup with the Bucks this season, I like him as a secondary play here. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is my favorite spend up option on the slate. He scored 68 Draftkings points in their first meeting. The Clippers, like many teams, will have no answer for Giannis here. Given the amount of injuries the Bucks are dealing with, Pat Connaughton and Sterling Brown are nice value plays. Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe, and Brook Lopez are secondary cash plays and nice GPP plays.

5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo

4-star play: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Pat Connaughton, Sterling Brown

GPP Sleeper: None

Denver Nuggets @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 217.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -7.5

Pace: Den +0.1

This game will actually be sneaky slow but will be enough to produce some good fantasy outcomes. Starting with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic isn’t a priority play, but he has huge upside every time he steps on the court. He makes for a very solid play tonight. I don’t love picking on point guards against Chris Paul, and Jamal Murray has struggled with this matchup a few times already this season. Paul Millsap is the only other guy I have interest in here, he’s not a priority but if you land on him I don’t hate it. From the Rockets, Chris Paul draws the best matchup, as the Nuggets rank 22nd in defense against opposing point guards. James Harden has averaged 58 Draftkings points per game in three matchups with the Nuggets this season. He is a nice pivot off of Giannis, but of the two I like Giannis a little more tonight. Clint Capela is the last guy I have interest in, the Nuggets rank 19th in defense against opposing centers this season.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic, James Harden, Chris Paul

4-star play: Clint Capela

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Paul Millsap

Sacramento Kings @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Pace: +0.3

This is going to be a very fast, high scoring game. We will start with the Kings, where the whole lineup draws a great matchup.

The Pelicans don’t rank better than 23rd in any position, other than legit centers, but even that isn’t something to write home about. The screenshot above is sorted by highest point per dollar plays to the lowest. Bogdan Bogdanovic, De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, and Marvin Bagley are all very solid plays tonight. From the Pelicans, both Elfrid Payton and Anthony Davis are probable for tonight’s game. Christian Wood will likely be popular tonight, as he destroyed the Hawks last time out. I will let other people chase those points, with Davis back and the fact that he got bailed out with 9 blocks/steals, I’m going to make him prove me wrong first. Ian Clark stands out as a nice value play, he will likely get the minutes of Frank Jackson who won’t play tonight. The Research Station loves him and has him going for 5.9x. Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton, and Kenrich Williams are all GPP plays.

5-star play: De’Aaron Fox, Bogdan Bogdanovic

4-star play: Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley, Ian Clark, Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton, Kenrich Williams

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Ian Clark

GPP Sleeper: Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton, Kenrich Williams

Cleveland Cavaliers @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 218.0

Vegas Spread: SA -13.0

Pace: Cle +1.6

Starting with the Cavaliers, Larry Nance’s price has come down to the point where he is very playable tonight. The Research Station likes him to go for 5.5x tonight. The only other Cav I have interest in is Kevin Love, who has 50 point upside every time he steps on the court. From the Spurs, I would be very cautious, this feels like a spot where Popovich will look to rest some guys given the matchup. If he doesn’t rest anybody, this game will likely be a blowout and I probably won’t be heavily targeting it. However, they do draw great matchups. The Research Station has most of the lineup going for more than 5x here, with my favorite plays being Rudy Gay, Derrick White, and DeMar DeRozan.

5-star play: Larry Nance, Rudy Gay

4-star play: Kevin Love, Derrick White, DeMar DeRozan

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Kevin Love
