DFS NBA Lineup Strategies - Blande's 6th Man - Draftkings and Fanduel Advice March 3rd

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

We have another weekend slate on our hands. Remember to play light and protect your bankroll as crazy things are bound to happen. Do NOT play the all-day slate and avoid cash games. With that out of the way, let’s take a deep dive into what this slate has to offer off the bench.

EARLY SLATE

PG – Emmanuel Mudiay ($5,900): Mudiay gets a good matchup here against the Clippers. He benefits even more from coming off the bench where he can generally avoid the matchup with Beverley. He makes for a nice mid-tier play tonight. His minutes have varied a little making him suitable to GPPs.

SG – Lou Williams ($7,200): Lou Williams price has come down a little bit here. This is good news for us as it makes him much more affordable in an excellent matchup against the Knicks. He makes for an excellent pivot of the chalky Zach Lavine and can be used in hybrid and GPP lineups.

SG – Allonzo Trier ($4,500): In his last 4 games, Trier is receiving 28 MPG off the bench. He has translated that into three 24+ efforts, with his last two going for 35 and 27.3 FDPs. He makes for an excellent GPP and drop-score candidate tonight given his recent form and minutes.

PF – Henry Ellenson ($4,500): Ellenson just signed a full contract with the Knicks after putting up a fine display for them. He has averaged 29.2 FDPs in 31 MPG over his last 2 games with the Knicks. Today he gets a shot at the worst defensive team in the league against Bigs. He could see 25-30 minutes off the bench, more than enough for him to crush value. He is an excellent drop-score, hybrid, and GPP play.

C – Mitchell Robinson ($7,300): Bigs against the Clippers is a thing. Don’t over think it, just play him!

MAIN SLATE

PG – Jeremy Lin ($4,200): Lin hasn’t shown the upside we know he is capable of with the Raptors. Tonight could just be the night he does that. The matchup is a good one and he is cheap enough to crush value in just 20-25 minutes. There’s a secondary reason I have him on here (you can find it in slack). He is a drop-score and GPP play.

SF – Jabari Parker ($5,500): GPP ONLY PLAY! With that out of the way, we all know Parker can drop 40+ on anyone at any time. In this matchup, I like the outlook for Parker, especially with Luol Deng being questionable. It’s hard to see who can stop him if he gets hot.

PF – Marquese Chriss ($3,600): With Ante Zizic likely out with a concussion, Chriss is in line for some extra minutes tonight. The Magic play big, so Chriss will be needed to match up here. He is extremely cheap for the minutes he will get, making him an excellent drop-score candidate and GPP play.

C – Joakim Noah ($6,000): Noah continues to feast off the bench in limited minutes. He has now gone for 30+ FDPs in 6 of his last 8 games. His price has reason to the point where it is a little harder to roster him given the lack of minute, but he is a high ppm guy and given his form it will be crazy not to mention him. I most likely won’t go here, but he is an option on this slate in GPPs.

Those are your Sixth men for today. Good luck out there today Army!
