DFS Madness's Strategy for Winning NBA Tiers Lineups for Draftkings - Mar. 30th, 2019

Welcome to the DFS Army Draftkings Tiers breakdown! The Tiers breakdown will consist of a breakdown of all six tiers on Draftkings and why you should or shouldn’t play some of these guys! My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the article and just because I like to think I’m a great Twitter follow (high hopes). But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Tier One:

Tier one features only two players now that Kawhi and Joel Embiid have been ruled out. As you can see above, the Domination Station likes Karl-Anthony Towns just slightly between the two. Without Embiid manning the frontcourt for the Sixers, Towns should be able to do whatever he wants here. He would be my choice as well from this tier, but Damian Lillard continues to play great basketball with CJ McCollum out. He has gone for 50+ in six of his last seven games, he’s certainly not a bad play, so make sure to get a little exposure as well.

Tier Two:

My favorite play in this tier is Devin Booker, even in a bad matchup. The Suns are allowing Booker to play near 40 minutes per night and shoot as much as he pleases. He has gone for back to back 70 point games, and I’m almost certain he’ll try to go for another real-life 50 point night. The matchup actually isn’t as bad as many people might think, he draws a DvP% of 126.7%. Jonas Valanciunas is second in this tier in terms of DvP% at 114%, he is also in play. He has scored 42+ Draftkings points in five straight games. Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond are GPP plays for me only because they see an upgraded matchup with Jusuf Nurkic no longer on the court. Finally, Nikola Vucevic is my third player in this tier, he is averaging 41.2 Draftkings points per game in three games against the Pacers.

The NBA Research Stationis my #1 source for research every single day and is one of the VIP Only tools our members have access to daily. The info in the NBA ReSearch Station includes today’s 📊 DFS Army Projection, Adjusted DVP matchups and much more. This tool will cut your daily research time in half. If you’re familiar with CeeGee and Ben you already know the time they’ve put into the “Sheets” and are extremely happy to provide them as apart of your DFS Army VIP Membership this year.

Tier Three:

The Domination Station has Mike Conley projected to be the best play in this tier, and it’s not particularly close. The Suns have struggled with opposing point guards all season. Pairing Conley with Devin Booker could be a nice pairing for tournaments. Tobias Harris draws the best DvP% at 118.5%, however, I would prefer Ben Simmons on the same team. With Embiid off the court this season, Simmons sees a 23.9% usage rate and averages about 1.29 fantasy points per minute. Jimmy Butler also sees an upgrade in usage at 26.8% and averages about 1.2 fantasy points per minute. Those four guys would be my cash plays, while DeAndre Ayton and Pascal Siakam can be left for GPPs.

Tier Four:

The Domination Station has this tier projected pretty tightly, so we will have to see if we can find an edge somewhere. The clear edge here is with Kyle Lowry, who draws the best DvP% at 115.2% and will be without Kawhi Leonard tonight. With Kawhi off the court this season, Lowry has a usage rate of 23.6% and averages about 1.33 fantasy points per minute. Andrew Wiggins will likely draw Jimmy Butler defense, which is not something I want to be a part of. This may be Dwyane Wade’s last game at the Garden, and that is enough narrative for me to want to play him tonight. Aaron Gordon has averaged 32.1 Draftkings points per game in three games against the Pacers this season. While Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner are GPP plays for me tonight.

Tier Five:

Goran Dragic is coming off of a massive game last time out against the Mavericks. I doubt he scores another 60 fantasy points here, but the Knicks are a mess on defense and Dragic is my favorite play from this tier. Serge Ibaka draws the best DvP% at 113.4% and sees about 1.21 fantasy points per minute with Kawhi off the court this season. Even with Nurkic out it seems like Enes Kanter’s role on this team won’t change, I don’t see a reason to go with him tonight. Tyus Jones draws a tough matchup against Ben Simmons and company, but he will see 30+ minutes in an uptempo game. Keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for Bulls injury news, Shaq Harrison could become one of the better plays in this tier if the injuries play out the right way. Bam Adebayo, DJ Augustin, and Bojan Bogdanovic are all GPP plays for me tonight.

Tier Six:

This is an incredibly ugly tier, I’m not going to sugar coat it. However, with Joel Embiid out, there may be some extra production left over for JJ Redick to take advantage. With Embiid off the court this season, Redick is averaging around 0.91 fantasy points per minute. Evan Fournier is a bit all over the place lately, but he makes for a nice GPP play. With Kawhi out, VanVleet may see a few extra minutes and usage. Emmanuel Mudiay is only in play for me if Dennis Smith is still out. Thad Young is averaging a massive 35 fantasy points per game in three games against the Magic this season, it’s pretty hard to ignore that kind of production in this tier. Darren Collison, DeAndre Jordan, and Marc Gasol are all GPP plays as well for me.
