DFS Madness's Strategy for Winning NBA Tiers Lineups for Draftkings - Mar. 29th, 2019

Welcome to the DFS Army Draftkings Tiers breakdown! The Tiers breakdown will consist of a breakdown of all six tiers on Draftkings and why you should or shouldn’t play some of these guys! My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the article and just because I like to think I’m a great Twitter follow (high hopes). But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Tier One:

The Domination Station has him projected for the least amount of points in this tier, but as weird as it sounds Damian Lillard is my favorite play here. He had a bit of a dud last game out, but tonight is a different circumstance. He gets an Atlanta team that ranks dead last in defense against opposing points guards. Lillard has gone over 50 fantasy points in five of his last six games, and with CJ McCollum still off the court, he sees an insane 39.8% usage rate and averages 1.57 fantasy points per minute. I’ll never talk you off of Russell Westbrook due to his 90 point fantasy ceiling on any given night, he also has a pretty high floor, much higher than Lillards. Karl-Anthony Towns isn’t a priority for me tonight, although he is averaging just 49 Draftkings points per game in three games against the Warriors this season.

Tier Two:

One guy from this tier that I will go out of my way to avoid is Bradley Beal. I don’t like targeting guys against that Jazz defense, and the Wizards are going to try and limit his minutes and give him a little rest to round out the season. Nikola Jokic is averaging 53.2 Draftkings points per game in three games against the Thunder this season and gets a massive pace up spot in this matchup. Steven Adams plays tough defense, but I don’t mind attacking him if a guy has proven success, which Jokic does. Paul George is much the same as Westbrook, he’s a very solid option and I won’t be talking you off of him here. Kemba Walker is in a great spot against the Lakers in tonight’s matchup. The Lakers rank 25th in defense against opposing point guards on the season and Kemba has been around the 70 fantasy point mark in two of his last three games, I like him here.

The NBA Research Stationis my #1 source for research every single day and is one of the VIP Only tools our members have access to daily. Tier Three:

Steph Curry is my favorite play from this tier, while Donovan Mitchell is my least favorite. Steph Curry draws the best matchup on the team (other than Draymond). The Wolves rank 26th in defense against opposing point guards on the season. Curry has played three games against the Wolves this season and is averaging an absurd 57 Draftkings points per game. The thing with Donovan Mitchell is that he is just too inconsistent at this point in the season, to where I don’t think you need to go there with him. Kevin Durant seems to have fizzled out as the regular season comes to an end, I would much prefer Curry here. Trae Young scored 48 Draftkings points against the Blazers once already this season, I like him again here in this spot. Kyrie Irving should return here tonight and has scored over 50 fantasy points in five of his last six games. He’s a good play tonight if you want to go there.

Tier Four:

This might be another JaVale McGee spot. The Hornets rank 27th in defense against opposing centers on the season. McGee has been on a tear lately, scoring at least 38 Draftkings points in his last four games, including a 54 and 72 point games. Rudy Gobert draws a great matchup, the Wizards don’t have the size to hang with him. In his only game against the Wizards this season, he scored 43 Draftkings points. The Wolves rank 20th in defense against opposing centers, putting DeMarcus Cousins squarely in play. Kyle Kuzma and John Collins are GPP plays only for me, as they have been a bit inconsistent as of late. Klay Thompson is averaging 35 Draftkings points per game in three games this season against the Timberwolves, he’s a very solid play.

Tier Five:

Andrew Wiggins is probably my favorite play from this brutal tier. They will need him to put up points if they want to keep this game close. In three matchups with the Warriors this season, he is averaging 34.8 Draftkings points per game. All the Wizards players in this tier are GPP plays only for me. I mentioned with Beal that I don’t like playing guys against this Jazz defense, of the three my favorite would be Thomas Bryant. Paul Millsap is a GPP play as well, but not one that is all that exciting to me. Myles Turner has scored 40 fantasy points in back to back games, he is a playable option if you want to go there. Finally, Al Horford is in play as he is probably one of the more consistent players in this tier. What an ugly tier, yikes.

Tier Six:

My favorite play from this tier is Jamal Murray and it’s really not close. The Thunder rank 24th in defense against opposing point guards and he is averaging 36 Draftkings points per game against them in three games this season. The Domination Station agrees with me and has him projected for the most points here. Jayson Tatum and Joe Ingles are both fine cash game plays, as they likely won’t kill you, but they both have a limited upside. From a GPP standpoint, I thinking targeting Rajon Rondo and Draymond Green would be the place to go. They both have triple-double type upside which could get you into the 50 fantasy point range.
