Welcome to the DFS Army Draftkings Tiers breakdown! The Tiers breakdown will consist of a breakdown of all six tiers on Draftkings and why you should or shouldn’t play some of these guys! My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the article and just because I like to think I’m a great Twitter follow (high hopes). But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Tier One:
We can see above that the Domination Station has Russell Westbrook to be the highest scoring player from this tier. Westbrook is actually a better per minute producer with Paul George on the floor this season. With George, he averages 1.64 per minute and without he averages 1.53. It’s not a huge number but is certainly something no note. James Harden will likely see a lot of Kawhi Leonard defense today and choosing between Westbrook and Harden is something I’ve been flip-flopping between all morning, I like them both. Karl-Anthony Towns has struggled in two meetings with the Thunder this season, averaging just 32.9 Draftkings points per game. Steven Adams is tough down low which makes me want to avoid him here
The NBA Research Stationis my #1 source for research every single day and is one of the VIP Only tools our members have access to daily. The info in the NBA ReSearch Station includes today’s

Tier Two:

Whenever it comes to choosing between Durant and Steph Curry, I usually head to the Domination Station and go with who it has projected for more points. In this case, it is Kevin Durant. My favorite plays from this tier are Nikola Vucevic and Kawhi Leonard. Philly will be without Joel Embiid again leaving them very shorthanded in the frontcourt. Vucevic should have no problem taking advantage here, he’s played the 76ers twice this year and is AVERAGING 60.9 Draftkings points per game. Kawhi Leonard will be leaned on to defend James Harden tonight, Harden loves to turn the ball over. Adding a few steals and blocks will certainly increase Kawhi’s floor and ceiling tonight.
Tier Three:

If you’ve learned anything from me, its that I love attacking Kyrie Irving in big games. Tonight’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors certainly qualifies. In one matchup with the Warriors this season, Kyrie scored 60 Draftkings points. He comes to play for these games, making him my favorite play from this tier. Ben Simmons is probably second, the Sixers will be without Joel Embiid again tonight. He has been playing around 40 minutes per night with Embiid out the past few games. He’s gone over 50 Draftkings points in three of his last four games and probably has a similar floor to DeMarcus Cousins here. Speaking of Cousins, I like him for his floor here. He is a consistent 40 fantasy points almost every night. Damian Lillard and Lauri Markkanen don’t draw great matchups, making them GPP plays.
Tier Four:

Tobias Harris stands out as the top play here, for me. With Embiid off the court, they will be shorthanded in the frontcourt and may choose to go small and let Tobias Harris play some five minutes here. Harris is my favorite play on the Sixers and will likely see near 40 minutes if this game stays relatively close. I don’t love attacking point guards against Chris Paul, so this keeps Kyle Lowry out of consideration for me. Chris Paul, on the other hand, is a very solid option, if Kawhi can get the ball out of Harden’s hands, Paul may see some extra shots here. Zach LaVine is kind of an average play here, he doesn’t see the greatest matchup, and it’s a slow paced game. The same goes for Jusuf Nurkic, whose minutes are anything but stable. Jimmy Butler is probably my second option in this tier, but he’s a lot like Kyrie where I want him in big games.

Tier Five:

Al Horford and Otto Porter stand out here, for me. The Bulls have shown that they’re not afraid to give Otto Porter extended run and he’s been producing in those minutes. If we count out the game where he left with an injury, he is averaging nearly 40 Draftkings points per game since joining the Bulls. Horford scored nearly 50 fantasy points in this matchup earlier this season, which puts him firmly in play here. This is a game type that I like targetting Aaron Gordon in, pace up and uptempo, where he can use his athleticism to produce. He makes for a nice GPP option. I don’t feel the need to go with Clint Capela, CJ McCollum or Jonas Valanciunas here. Pascal Siakam and Steven Adams are solid options if you want exposure to them.
Tier Six:

Marc Gasol has been playing a sneak good amount of minutes as of late. He’s played 38 and 32 minutes in his past two games and they’ll need his size to combat Clint Capela tonight. He’s scored 35+ fantasy points in the past two games to go along with his increase in minutes. If Paul George is ruled out again tonight, I like Dennis Schroder quite a bit. He finally came through and produced a massive game last time out and will continue to see big minutes with George off the court. Myles Turner sees a good matchup against the Chicago Bulls. Turner has been getting blocks and steals a bunch as of late, look for that to continue against a bad Bulls team. I’ll play Andrew Wiggins if George is out, but if he plays I don’t want any part of that defense on Wiggins. Draymond Green, Thad Young, and Jayson Tatum are all decent options and I won’t talk you off of them if you want one of them. I don’t feel the need to go with Bojan Bogdanovic here, however.
