NBA Full Court Press for today February 26th
Orlando Magic – 111.3 at New York Knicks – 104.3
Vegas ORL 7.0
Total 215.5
The Magic are 7 point road favorites in this one as they visit the Garden on this small Tuesday slate. The 215.5 total is the lowest on the slate but we should still be able to cherry pick some solid plays in this one. The 1st play that stands out to me is Magic All-Star Center Nikola Vucevic. He gets a dreamy matchup here vs the Knicks who will likely be without DeAndre Jordan tonight. On the season the Knicks have a 111 Team Defensive Efficiency Rating and allow 6% more fantasy points to Centers than the League Average. Vucevic has the #1 AND1 Rating on the slate today on the DFS Army NBA Research Station and he should have a field day in the Garden tonight vs this Knicks frontcourt.
Jonathan Isaac is a play I’ve been targeting a lot recently. He is still very affordable and has been very consistent for some time now usually landing between 30-40 nightly. The matchup vs the Knicks is a great one as they give up 7% more fantasy points to small forwards than the league average. Isaac has averaged 29.7 fantasy points and 29 minutes played over his last 5 games and should be in line for a solid game tonight. Aaron Gordon has plenty of GPP Upside but I usually only target him when Vucevic is out. That being said, it’s a small 3 game slate and he has slate breaking upside in this matchup so I’ll have my exposure to him in GPP’s mainly tonight. My value guys I want to target from the Magic are DJ Augustin and Terrence Ross. Over the last 5 games, Augustin has averaged 24 minutes and 25.4 fantasy points while Ross has averaged 24 minutes and 25.4 fantasy points. They are both very affordable and this is a solid matchup for both of them.
On the Knicks side of the ball there aren’t as many solid plays that stand out at first glance. Most of these guys are going to be GPP targets as none of them have been very consistent this year. We’re expecting DeAndre Jordan to be out tonight, so Mitchell Robinson could see some extra minutes at the Center spot. He’s been producing very well this year despite only playing around 20 minutes per game. Last game he reached 30 minutes and crushed with a 47.3 fantasy point game. The matchup vs Vucevic is not ideal as he could get into early foul trouble, but, Vucevic is not known as a great defender so he’s got that going for him tonight.
Dennis Smith Jr is likely going to be the next Knick I target here. The Magic are solid defensively against point guards allowing 3% fewer fantasy points to the position than the league average. Over his last 5 games, Smith Jr has averaged 28 minutes and 33.1 fantasy points per game. He’s coming off a monster 51.7 fantasy point game on Sunday vs the Spurs so hopefully, he can keep that rolling tonight.
The last Knick I really have interest in is are Damyean Dotson. He’s been playing great over his last 4 games and his minutes are becoming more and more steady as the season winds down. Over his last 4 games, he has averaged 30 minutes and 28.8 fantasy points per game. He’s coming off a great game Sunday night vs the Spurs where he played 36 minutes and scored 39 fantasy points. He hit 8 three point shots in that game so his performance was probably a bit of an outlier but nonetheless, he’s been playing really well lately and he’s someone I’ll have plenty of exposure to on a small slate.
💥💥💥 5 star play – Nikola Vucevic
💥💥 4 star play – Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon, Mitchell Robinson, Dennis Smith Jr
💥 Value – DJ Augustin, Terrence Ross, Damyean Dotson, Kevin Knox

Boston Celtics – 111 at Toronto Raptors – 115
Vegas TOR -4.0
Total 226
This should be a great game here tonight vs 2 of the top teams in the East Conference. Both teams are solid Defensively and both are very well coached. You know they’re going to go at each other hard in this one as they fight for playoff positioning. I’m targeting the stars here, with Kyrie Irving being one of my favorite plays of the game. We all know Kyrie likes to show up in big spots and he’s been doing that a lot this year. Over his last 5 games, he is averaging 38 minutes and 49.7 fantasy points per game. He’s coming off a monster 62 fantasy points against the Bulls the other day and while I know the Raptors are much tougher defensively I’m expecting another 50+ game out of Kyrie tonight. The last time the Celtics played the Raptors Kyrie dropped 27 points 5 rebounds and 16 assists on his way to 59 fantasy points. Even against good Defensive teams like the Raptors, I have no doubt Kyrie can rise to the challenge and GET BUCKETS tonight.
Al Horford has been on a tear recently in 3 of his last 4 games he has scored 51.1 – 48.8 and 63.9 fantasy points. Last game however he came back down to earth and only scored 27.9 vs the Bulls. If we look at the game logs from his 3 explosion games, we see that his fantasy stats were inflated a bit by blocks and steals. He’s not really known as a shot blocker so those need to be taken with a grain of salt. He’s a GPP Only option for me tonight with his $8,000 price tag on Fanduel and I’m expecting him to land around his normal 32-37 fantasy points again here tonight. Others I really like here are Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart for value. These guys all bring it during big games and I’m expecting this to be a tightly contested game tonight.
The Raptors are fighting for the #1 seed in the East currently only 2.5 games behind the Bucks. I’m expecting them to show up here tonight since it’s still the Regular Season and they don’t collapse until the playoffs start. Kawhi Leonard has to be my top option on the Raptors tonight with a price tag of only $9,600. His price never seems to reach the levels it should given his skill level since he seemingly sits out 1/2 the Raptors games these days. That being said we know Kawhi is one of the Top 5 players in the league and he’ll be up to the task tonight. The last time he played the Celtics he scored 51.8 fantasy points in 36 minutes of action. I’m expecting another 50+ game here for Kawhi.
Kyle Lowry has been playing well recently scoring 43 or more fantasy points in 4 of his last 6 games. He is tough to fully trust him with Kawhi in the lineup so I won’t have a ton of exposure to him. Pascal Siakam and Serge Ibaka are the next 2 Raptors that I’ll target tonight. We’ve seen big-time upside from Siakam recently and I think this is a solid spot for him here. Ibaka has been steady as well and is usually a pretty reliable cash game play.
One guy that just seems way too cheap to me is Marc Gasol. I know if you look at his game logs you will not be impressed as he hasn’t reached 30 fantasy points any of his last 5 games. His minutes were down for a while but I’ve got a feeling they’ll start ticking back up here soon, especially in prime time matchups like this one. Bottom line Marc Gasol is an All-Star caliber player priced at $5,700 and we need to take advantege of this while we can.
💥💥💥 5 star play – Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard
💥💥 4 star play – Pascal Siakam, Serge Ibaka, Jason Tatum, Kyle Lowry, Al Horford
💥 Value – Marc Gasol, Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown

Oklahoma City Thunder – 117 at Denver Nuggets – 120
Vegas DEN -3.0
Total 237
The game of the night and the late night hammer all wrapped in one. The Thunder vs the Nuggets should be played at a breakneck pace this evening and there will be an abundance of fantasy points scored in this one. With a 237 total, this game is easily the highest on the small slate and you’re going to NEED exposure to this game if you want to win tonight. On the Thunder side of the ball, I’m all in on Russell Westbrook despite his triple-double streak ending a few games back. You’ll have to pay a premium to get Russ into your lineups tonight but I think it will be well worth it. Over his last 5 games, he has averaged a slate high 64.9 fantasy points per game and I’m expecting another 60+ fantasy point outing from him tonight.
Paul George is next on my target list and could very well be the top target. He’s $600 cheaper than Westbrook and has the same amount of upside. George has been in the League MVP discussion all year long and you know he’s going to want to show out in a big spot here. Over his last 5 games, he is just below Westbrook averaging 59.2 fantasy points per game. A 60 point game from George is not out of the realm of possibility here tonight. Jerami Grant and Dennis Schroder are two very solid mid-level plays here tonight and in a high tempo game like this, they could both eclipse 30 fantasy points.
On the Nuggets side of the ball, everything starts and stops with Nikola Jokic. He’s the top target nightly for this team and tonight will be no different. Over his last 5 games, he is averaging 33 minutes and 50 fantasy points per game and 50+ is easily within reach here tonight. Paul Millsap has been on a tear recently and he’s my 2nd favorite Nugget to target this evening. Over his last 3 games, he has scored 52.6 – 46.6 and 56.2 fantasy points. I’m not sure if he’ll eclipse 50 again here tonight but he very well could. I’m expecting 40+ out of him for sure and 50+ would not surprise me one bit.
The rest of the Nuggets are a little harder to figure out. We know Jamal Murray is the starting point guard so he should see around 30 minutes each night. However, they are so deep at the guard position it’s really tough to pinpoint exactly which guy will do the best on a nightly basis. Will Barton, Gary Harris, Monte Morris, Malik Beasley and now Isaiah Thomas are all in play here. Since we don’t know exactly which one will go off I think it’s a good idea to have a little bit of exposure to all of them.
💥💥💥 5 star play – Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Nikola Jokic
💥💥 4 star play – Paul Millsap, Jerami Grant, Jamal Murray, Dennis Schroder
💥 Value – Will Barton, Gary Harris, Monte Morris, Malike Beasley, Terrance Ferguson, Isaiah Thomas
