Friedman's Fighting Five - Monkey Knife Fight Plays for February 23, 2019

Hi there! I’m Aaron/AFriedman15 (@AFriedman15DFS)  and this is Friedman’s Fighting Five, where I will include 5 of my favorite plays from the new Prop site and DFS Army Partner Monkey Knife Fight, using information from the DFS Army NBA Research Station (RS),  NBA WOWY, and other sources. I will also offer slate commentary based on DraftKings and DK pricing.   Some days, when there is a smaller slate, there will be fewer picks.  I will generally list them in order of personal preference. My research is focused around DK and the DK Research station, so keep that in mind. Players may be viable to varying degrees at the other sites as well. I will generally try to write Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Weekends, but I may have some spare time on other days as well.

In my articles, I will use a few terms which may or may not be familiar:

DKFPPG = DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Game

DKFPPM =DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Minute

Phoenix at Atlanta:

Absolutely love Phoenix here as they continue their road trip in Atlanta.  Atlanta plays  terrible defense, so this a great spot for several members of the Suns. For DFS, my favorite Suns are going to be Booker, Oubre, and Jackson. On the Atlanta side, Trae Young leads the Hawks with a 31.6% USG rate and 1.36 DKFPPM over the past two weeks. Meanwhile, John Collins has really struggled of late, and is even behind Vince Carter with a undesirable 0.86 DKFPPM in the past two weeks.  I grabbed some props here and with the lines changing, here are some plays I like and the ranges I am willing to play them in.

  • Booker over 26.5 points to MAX of 28.5 points
  • Collins under 10.5 rebounds to MIN of 7.5 rebounds
  • Ayton over 16.5 points to MAX of 18.5 points
  • Dedmon under 7.5 rebounds to MIN of 5.5 rebounds
  • Young over 19.5 points to MAX of 23.5 points
  • T. Johnson over 3.5 assists to MAX of 5.5 assists

Boston at Chicago:

Boston absolutely crushed the Bulls last time at the United Center and I mostly like the unders on Monkey Knife Fight. Vegas has this game as a 10.5 spread, which I believe is parter due to the part that the Bulls have been playing much better since Porter arrived. From a DFS perspective, I like Horford, Porter and Markkenan, and that’s it.

  • Kyrie Irving under 24.5 points to 22.5 points
  • Kris Dunn under 6.5 assists to 4.5 assists
  • Zach LaVine under 21.5 points to 19.5 points
  • Marcus Morris under 2.5 3PM to 1.5 3PM

Minnesota at Milwaukee:

I want some action on this game, but will wait until later on the day.

Sacramento at Oklahoma City:

SAC +6 is our free play of the day according to our betting service Beat the Bookie (below). Paul George and Russell Westbrook rate as our top two projected scorers and have the top two And1 ratings on the slate. It’s a great spot here too for De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Fox is averaging 10.20 assists per 36 minutes over his last two weeks, so I like the prop on the right a lot. The former Oklahoma star Hield returns nearby the site of his college playing days, so I like his prop too.

  • Buddy Hield: Over 2o.5 pts to MAX 22.5 points
  • Dennis Schroder: under 4.5 assists to MIN 3.5 assists.
  • Russell Westbrook over 24.5 points to  MAX 28.5 points
  • De’Aaron Fox over 7.5 assists to  MAX 9.5 assists

Bookmark the  “Coaching Notes” page, it will remain the same regardless of coaches!.

Houston at Golden State:

In the national TV game tonight, I like this prop a lot. PJ Tucker is averaging 6.40 rebounds per 36 minutes over his past two weeks, meanwhile Durant is averaging a team-high 31.86 fantasy points per 36 minutes over the same interval.

  • Kevin Durant over 26.5 points to MAX 28.5 points
  • PJ Tucker under 6.5 rebounds to MIN 5.5 rebounds
