Friedman's Dirty Dozen - NBA DFS Plays for Feb 06 DraftKings Tips and Advice

Hi there! I’m Aaron/AFriedman15 (@AFriedman15DFS)  and this is Friedman’s Dirty Dozen, where I will include 12ish of my favorite plays, using information from the DFS Army NBA Research Station (RS),  NBA WOWY, and other sources.  Some days, when there is a smaller slate, there will be fewer picks.  I will generally list them in order of personal preference. My research is focused around DK and the DK Research station, so keep that in mind. Players may be viable to varying degrees at the other sites as well. I will generally try to write Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Weekends, but I may have some spare time on other days as well.

Nikola Jokic : Jokic busted in my top spot on Monday, but while others move off him, he will be my top play again as he has the nuts matchup today. Brooklyn is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing centers and third most points, 2nd most rebounds and third most assists – which is significant as Jokic is arguably the best passing big man in the NBA.

What To Expect Today — CeeGee’s 1st Look!

Marvin Bagley:  Absolutely thrilled to see Bagley just $300 more than Monday’s price. This might be the last time we see this uber-talented rookie under $6,000. He might be my heaviest exposure of the night.

Jakob Poeltl: With LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan out for rest purposes against the Golden State Warriors, Jakob Poeltl will have all the minutes he can handle against the variety of big men on the Warriors. While Pau Gasol rates as the top value, I prefer going with Poeltl, who is 15 years younger than the aging big man.

Mason Plumlee (if starting): Stay tuned here to see if Paul Millsap is out for the second consecutive game and Mason Plumlee gets the start. If Plumlee is starting again, he has absolutely huge upside as he went for 40 DKFP in 33 minutes in Monday’s spot start. Plumlee and Jokic actually correlate pretty well together and it is a great spot for both.

Giannis Antetokounmpo: The Greek Freak rates slightly behind Jokic for me on this slate, but still has a good matchup here in his own right. While he “only” went for 54 DKFP, he was at 60+ for the three previous games  I also don’t hate picking a few of his teammates (see Middleton) instead or doing a game stack here either.

Khris Middleton:  Khris Middleton is my favorite “non-Giannis” play on the Bucks. Washington is third in three point makes allowed and second in opponent three-point field goal percentage so the All-Star and three-point shootout contestant, should get some good looks here. Middleton has played very well against Washington this season,  going for 41.5 DKFP and 38.3 DKFP in the two outings.

Kenrich Williams (if Randle out): As we enter mid-afternoon, I am waiting to see if we get more clarity on Kenrich Williams, who remains at the top of our Who’s Hot and Bump in Minutes report. If Randle is out, I am going right back to the well. If Randle is in, he could still be a good option off the bench, as he has only started one game, but done well for multiple games off the bench. This is a guy to ask the coaches about in our coaching channels.

Bookmark the  “Coaching Notes” page, it will remain the same regardless of coaches!

Tim Hardaway Jr.: Unleash the THJ, now that he has been freed from the reign of Terror known as the New York Knicks. I just can’t get over the fact that he is just $4,900 and is now in a situations where Devin Harris is likely his only backup. I am down for THJ at 30 mins here.

Jordan McRae (DK only/short slate/MME/GPP target): While Satoransky is a decent option here too, I am eying this rookie in some of my large field DK GPPs or as a dart on some of their short slate contest. I could see the game getting out of hand and some extra minutes for McRae.

Chris Paul (mostly cash): CP3 is a preferred play for me over James Harden, as I love his price under $8,000. This is a pace up spot (+5.50) for the Rockets and Paul did go for 43.5 DKFP in his last game against the Kings on November 17.

Jahlil Okafor: Regardless of Randle’s status, Okafor is definitely in play here as the Pelican’s starting center. The Bulls are allowing the 5th most fantasy points to centers, and Jahlil Okafor is an alum of Chicago’s Whitney Young High School and a former Illinois Mr. Basketball, so this is a homecoming game for him.
